My name is Mason Sabre. I have been writing since I was a small child and discovered I could have a million adventures at the stroke of my pencil (I wasn't allowed to use pen back then). I have written more stories than I could even publish, some of them I wouldn't ever put out, but I have had a blast writing them. I love writing, I love reading. I love to have a fictional adventure. When I am not doing that I am with my children or studying. I have a lifelong love of learning too.
I live in the North of England. It's a little chilly here and a little wet, but it is what I call home and where pretty much all of my stories are based.
I was fortunate enough to be a beta reader for this book. It was a kind of slow torture to receive the chapters dragged out over a few weeks. The story is compelling and suspenseful. Tara is a widow since her husband died in a car crash three years earlier. Tara keeps returning to the coffee shop where she first met Eric, her husband. One day she meets a homeless man, Devan. A friendship begins between them that is hard to understand, but the journey they undertake is even more difficult. This is a book that you will not be able to put down until you finish the journey with Devan and Tara.
True love lost. Only guilt and loneliness taking its place. A bond that cannot be broken... no matter what.
I was moved by the heartbroken, damaged, guilt-ridden and somewhat innocent, Tara. That with all the sadness she was carrying, she was able to still go on. I loved how the author allowed her to gain courage, drive and hope.
The mystery surrounding Devan, and how he interacted with Tara, was a perfect balance of give and take. His tender, giving, yet sometimes forceful nature made for a beautiful and wonderfully, exciting story.
The twists and turns that this exceptionally talented author provides, are matched only by his incredible attention to detail both in the emotions that the characters feel, and in the numerous surroundings and situations they find themselves in.
Pain, fear, love, guilt, elation... they're all there, and so much more. I highly recommend this book, if you believe that true love does indeed, always finds a way. Clearly, this author has a "knack" for creating this type of story. I hope to read more of his work very soon.
My heart was ripped out from page one. Everything around me disappeared and only the characters in the book existed. Three years ago, Tara had a car accident which instantly killed her husband, and merely left her with a few scratches. For three years she has been mourning the loss of her beloved husband. Her agony is palpable, the weight on her heart reaches out to the reader. I wept for her loss, for her continuing to live without him by her side. One day she meets Devan, a man who worked with her husband to help homeless people get off the streets, a part of her husband she hadn't bothered to learn more about. Devan holds a secret about her husband, it will help heal her grief, if only she is willing to learn the truth about her husband.
As I delved into their story, I could feel the atmosphere; I wasn't just reading a story, I was living it. The constant downpours, the hail that drives Devan to agree to go home with Tara, the warmth of the mugs of coffee on the bitterly cold days, the high winds that bring in the unknown around Tara, the screeching of the tires as she crashed and was thrown from the vehicle, the intense love that connected Tara to Devan.
This was my first time reading a paranormal romance, and Mr. Sabre has set the bar high. I look forward to more of his work, as he has such a way with words that is unlike any other author I have read.
Watch Over You is one of the loveliest stories I have read in a long time. It carries you away on a whirlwind of emotions where you go from feeling sad to happy to desperate to excited to frightened to hopeful... It is a beautiful story and you can only sympathise with the heroine from the very start. Tara is a woman who blames herself for her husband's death and who hasn't been able to move on in her life for the last three years. She cannot forgive herself and lives with heartache that is never-ending. She feels she has lost more than just her husband and best friend; she lost her soulmate. It is hard not to empathise and feel her sorrow and pain. When Devan comes into her life, Tara sees him as an opportunity to find out more about Eric and a part of his life that she realises she had known very little about. There is a whole side to him he had kept secret from her, and she is desperate to find out more about it. At the same time, she feels herself experiencing feelings that she had only ever felt with Eric. They take her aback, exciting her while simultaneously adding to her already heavy guilt. She believes she shouldn't be feeling anything for any other man other than her beloved Eric. Devan seems to hold his own secrets and there is mystery around him that puzzles Tara and adds to her long list of questions. There is an underlying hurt in him and, like our heroine, you are drawn to his character and feel an instant like towards him. There is a mixture of strength and vulnerability to him that completely wins you over. One of the things I liked most about this book is the element of surprise. There are things that happen that you don't see coming, and as the story unfurls, you are captivated by what is written on those pages, making it very hard to put the book down. The author has a very vivid and clever imagination. I found myself admiring his ability to create such an ingenious plot on more than one occasion. He is undoubtedly a special and highly talented writer. I really enjoyed the book and anxiously look forward to reading more of his work. I highly recommend it if you are a lover of adventure, suspense and romance. A truly wonderful piece of work.
This book was very intriguing. At first as the storyline got weirder and weirder I almost called it quits as it didn't seem to be something I would enjoy. However my curiosity got the better of me and I stuck with it. I'm so glad I did. When I finished this book, two movies came to mind but I don't want to name them because it might give away the storyline for this book. When I realized where the story was going I started thinking back to some things that Tara said and they now made sense - and I couldn't believe I missed the clues even after watching those two movies. Loved this book and if you start thinking this book may be too out there for you, just stick with it - you won't regret it.
There are some words spelled the English way rather than the American way which I am unaccustomed to. It was a little distracting for me but now that I know it is simply a cultural difference and not poor editing it won't bother me with future books. Learn something new every day! Still loved the book!!!!
A book I just couldn't put down. The author lured me into this intriguing tale of True Love redeemed.A story of loss and discovery with a strong dose of suspense. Sweet yet gripping, keeping you on the edge of your seat. Unpredictable yet satisfying. A tidal wave of emotions washes over you as you are reading, not knowing which emotion comes next.I was left with a lump in my throat and a smile lingering on my lips. Words are not enough to describe it so I would recommend you read the book for the full impact of a truly wonderful read.
This book is a story that takes you on a trip of how someone can be trapped in the in-between and limbo. This a true love story between Eric and Tara. What would you do?
I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes a little mystery, a love story with a happy ending of sorts.
OK, first off let me just say, I'm not gonna tell you what happens in this book. Go read the blurb if your looking for that! But really...don't even bother, just save yourself the time and one click that button right now! One thing I will promise you, you will not regret it!! I always tend to write my reviews based on how well the author is able to grab and hold my attention and also how vested emotionally I become to the characters and the story. Mason Sabre is a master at both!! Not only did I not EVER lose interest at any point during the entire book but I couldn't put it down! I stayed up all night long reading this dang book!! Literally!! Its like 807 am here now and I've been up all night long reading, not able to miss one moment of what was going to happen next!! And emotionally vested...sheesh! I cried! No, not cried, SOBBED!! Mason has such of way of making you become a part of his story that you feel like you are living it right along with his characters! Every moment of love, fear, doubt, sadness, and acceptance sprials thru your heart until your left a quivering crying mess at the end smiling from happiness!! I tend to view books in my head like a movie, blocking everything out around me and molding myself into the action of the book. But this doesn't always work. Not unless the author knows what they're doing. And every moment I was living in that movie right along with Devon and Tara. Watching scenery around me, feeling the raindrops on my face, hearing the wavering voices of the characters as if they were real people standing right beside me. And that is only due in part to the fabulous creative writing skills of Mr. Sabre! He uses the 26 letters of the alphabet and spins them in such a way that you never get too much or not enough...but just right! For 7 hours I traveled to the land of make believe totally oblivious to everything around me!! OK, so I will say, this book crushed me in so many ways!! But oh my god did it feel so good! To know there are still authors out there that can do this satisfies me to the core! I don't give out many 5 star reviews, a lot of fours maybe, but the author earned every dang one of em here and quite honestly...if I could I'd probably give him more! This was my first Mason Sabre read, but I can confidently tell you that it will not be my last! (Although, it may remain my favorite!) If you are a fan of fantasy, or heck even if your not, don't let this one pass you by! Oh, and speaking of movies...yeah this would make a damn good one! Thanks for the ride Mason! I thouroughly enjoyed it!! Until next time..
I'm siting here just after finishing this trying to figure out how I want to review this book. I don't know how to express just how astonishing it was. I don't want to do any injustice to this amazing author. This story grabbed me from the start. As I was reading everything was so vivid so clear and detailed, that I thought I was actually there. I felt every agonizing emotion, I felt every ounce of pain but also I felt love. What would we do to help the one we loved the most, our soulmate. I don't want to give anything away about this amazing story of sacrifice, determination and that all consuming power we call Love. Read this book! It will break your heart at times but it will be put back together.
I DID A REREAD… AND IT GRABBED MY EMOTIONS ALL OVER AGAIN!
What a beautiful gem of a book. A gorgeous romance wrought with suspense, emotion and beauty! So completely unique and unlike anything I have read before.
It became apparent fairly quickly that things are not quite what they seem. My eyes were glued to the pages as Tara's journey unfolded and I tried desperately to figure out just what was happening. The writing is so vivid, so clear and wonderfully descriptive that I felt as though I were apart of the story. My heart bled, my stomach twisted and my tears fell. Just Wow!!!
What ever you do, avoid spoilers and overly detailed reviews. This book is meant to be an experience and too much information will ruin it. Trust me, just read it. I will be thinking about this story for a long, long while.
Oh my gosh this is my life. Oh how I wish it was my life. Living without my husband he s the worst pain ever. I absolutely loved this book. A bond that can't be be broken. No matter who I meet their not my husband. I cried throughout the book.
The mystery that surrounded Devan and how he interacted with Tara was perfect. His tender giving, sometimes forceful nature made for a beautiful and wonderfully and exciting journey. The authors incredibly attention to detailed has been exceptional as usual. I cried more because of the death of my husband and moving on with my life has been extremely hard. Loved this book ❤️❤️
If you are ready for a ride of emotions and twists then this book is for you. I was so frustrated at both Tara and Deven for not finding out what was going on! That frustration left me coming back for more and more hoping it would happen in the next chapter but all I got was another crumb. One AM rolls around and I'm still going one more chapter. However don't fret the answers do come and they are even explained clearer through Devens eyes. Great read to use up those unused tissues!
This is a true love story that doesn't end at death, Watch Over You is the first book i have read by this author and it won't be the last, he is an intelligent and very talented author and the story is beautifully writen, i loved how it captivated from start to finish, it's an emotional story with a few twists, if you are thinking of buying this book please do you won't be dissapointed.

If you've read Sixth Sense and Inception or even watched the movies and enjoyed the intricate story lines, then Watch Over You is one for you. It is a story if love that even in death is still binding. Two halves of one soul that will take you on a journey painful, suspenseful with a thriller aspect that keeps you guessing to the very end. The way the story is written will have you trying to guess or even knowing the answers, but will keep you reading to figure it all out. A must read that will have you emotionally invested from the start. Pure genius.
Most of the time when I finish a book, I like to take my time to digest it before I write a review. Not this time because this story was so spellbinding I feel I need to write this now while my thoughts and emotions are fresh and my mind is still reeling. Maybe I was able to relate so well because of my own experience, but that could only happen if the story drew me in, and this one certainly did. I can't believe this is Mason's first published novel. He is truly a gifted writer. The emotions he evokes are gut wrenching and real. The unpredictability of the story is captivating, and Mason's use of wonderfully vivid details put me right into the scenes along with the endearing characters he has created. The beauty of this love story will most certainly find its way into your heart! Bloody well done Mason!!
At first when I was reading this book I got very twisted sister in my thoughts to be honest, but as I started to try and understand piece by piece what the author was saying.... I'm telling myself Nooo, that just can't be true. There's GOT to be a HEA in here somewhere! I need more than a few damn kisses and mind you I'm not a sap happy person, but OH MY Gosh.... the end just about had me gasping and teary eyed. It was the sweetest most lovingly book that I've read I quite a while. Thank you Mr. Sabre, I can only hope I'm watched over.
I did find it a little bit confusing with all the twists and turns, but what great Author doesn't have them and all the more to figure out.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good paranormal romantic read. It was a lovely book!
I want to thank Lucian W Bane for pointing me in your direction, Mason. A while ago, he gifted me a copy of Watch Over You and challenged me to read and write a review. Unfortunately, life got in the way, and I was unable to read the book until last week. I was absolutely stunned while reading, and had to put the book down a number of times due to the intense emotions the story brought out in me. I lost my grandmother 3 years ago, and my life hasn't been the same since she left. The grief I've felt over her loss is still a living thing inside me, and I completely understood how Tara felt. Thank you, so much, for writing this book, and for basically letting me know it's okay to grieve, as long as you don't live in that grief, and always remember the good times. Thank you.
I finished this month's ago, but did leave a review because of work...anyways on to the good stuff. OMG...I was so not expecting what happened to happen. Yes, I'm being coy. I don't want to ruin you all finding out for yourselves. Let me say this though....you will be captivated from the beginning. My emotions were completely engaged as well as my imagination!
I loved this book because I could NEVER figure out the whole thing. I was completely surprised and I like to consider myself a fairly intelligent person. If you're looking for a book that is well written, captivates your attention, engages your emotions....well look no further. You found it!!!
I kept reading this book because I kept thinking it was going to "get good". I got to the last page and said out loud "I hate this book". I wish I had read some of the reviews first because the little blurb about the book didn't tell me SPOILER---- she's DEAD! the whole book-- about a dead lady and her dead husband. The other character I don't know if he was dead or not.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I really enjoyed Watch Over You. It was a little confusing in some parts but everything came together and when it did it was really intriguing. Wondering what was really happening and finding out about what happened in the past.... it was beautiful! I am excited to read more from this author.
If you're looking for a "light read" this book isn't for you. This is one of those earth shattering stories that makes you stop and think about things unseen, destiny, how love is never lost, and nothing, not even death, can separate us from our soul mate. Thank you Mason! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Now this is a true love story, one that defines all odds and never gives up. It is the best story I have read on love transcending all. The stakes were high and so was the challenge. This was a well-written thought-provoking story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely want to read more from this author.
I've now read everything Mr. Mason Sabre has written. I had heard one time Mr Sabre wasn't into love stories. This was very much a sweet one. Is there another world after death? Gods I hope so. Mr.Sabre captures his audience right off. Then with a sweet twist offers them a HEA ending.
If you read only one book this year, it should be this one. Watch Over You is a shining example of the creative brilliance that is Mason Sabre as well as the quality and caliber of his writing. When Taya crosses paths with the enigmatic Devan in a coffee shop, she learns that nothing in her life was as it seemed. He takes her on a journey through memories and time to slowly reveal the truth. Outstanding in its execution, Watch Over You is a must read for any fan of paranormal romance.
Devan and Tara are absolutely meant to be together. This book shook the core of who I am. I definitely enjoyed all the twists and turns as well as the scary parts. Truly a love story for the ages. I'll be reading more of Mason's work for sure!!
If I could have given this book 10 stars I would've!
The Best Paranormal Romantic Love Story EVER!!! Mason Sabre can write an Emotional Love Story That had me on the “Edge of My Seat,” crying, cheering, and just wrapped up in the whole bittersweet story.. I LOVED IT!! IT DESERVES 10 STARS!!!
