“Taking hold of the back of her neck, I leaned forward, taking her lips in mine….She was mine. I wanted her. I wanted to take what was mine-“ Mason

Fallen Crest Family continues with the drama that started on book four at Cain University. Sebastian Park is not going to let what Mason did to his frat house go away so easily. He knows the only way to hurt Mason and get his payback is thru Sam. He knows well that Mason would do anything for Sam and he wants to destroy him by getting to him where it hurts the most. Sam and Logan are now in college with Mason and Nate. Oh how excited I was having the fearsome foursome back together.

Mason is trying to let Sam adjust to her new school year as much as possible so he hide stuff about Park and his plans from her and even from Logan. Sam wants a normal school year so she agrees with Mason to try to make new friends. Regardless she is also going to protect Mason from Sebastian because Mason’s football carrier is most important if he gets in trouble his football carrier is out the window. Therefore she also hides things from him. Lies and secrets are building up once again and when that happens well shit always happens.

Logan oh what can I say about him?! Well I love him to pieces. He was his awesome charm as usual funny and super badass. The love between these two brothers is ridiculous I love them so much. Logan loves his brother so much he also hide things from Mason and tried to protect both him and Sam from Park. Poor Nate does get hurt again and it made me so sad for him and then Logan gets hurt and omg I was all full of anger and so pissed at Park I thought I hated him before but I was wrong I hate him more now.

In the midst of all the drama Mason and Sam were able to show how much they love each other there were some sexy scenes I couldn’t get enough of them. They are just made perfectly for each other strong and always looking for each other. I feel like this book shows how strong and true their love is, they both have defiantly found their sole mate on each other. Loved these two so much and Logan always teasing them was even better he was just the funny lay back awesome brother.

"Mason," I murmured. I wanted his mouth on me, anywhere on me. I wanted him to go faster. I wanted to feel the ride. The sensations were building. I was going to come.

"Sam," he whispered, bending over so that his lips grazed my ear. He kept moving. I felt his body tensing and knew he was right with me. He cursed, gasping. "I love you."

There were so much drama, fights, parties, new friendships, secrets. This book was just freaking amazing right from the start. I completely did not see what Tijan had in store after seventy percentages into this book and all the way up to the end. It was a completely shocking, amazing and brilliant ending. What Mason does made me want to love him and claim him more if that’s even possible. I admired Sam and Logan so much. Everything about this book was just brilliant I just can’t get enough. I seriously don’t want this series to ever end. I would read this series till the end of time and would recommend it to all my YA reader that love some Hot brothers, a badass heroine, lots of action and drama. This series is defiantly a must read my all time favorite YA series ever.

GUILTY PLEASURE READ AND NOTHING MORE!!!

This authors is my ADDICTION. My CRACK! My ESCAPE! My EXCEPTION. I can't get enough of her books.

Her stories–all of them–will ALWAYS be 5 star reads for me because I don't read them like I do other books. They have become my escape, my guilty pleasure, my one exception. They encompass EVERYTHING that would normally drives me bat-shit-crazy, yet they don't. For whatever reason, they are in a class of their own and they work for me BIG TIME. I just hang on and enjoy the crazy ride.

Note: It took me a few chapters to get into this book, which is unusual for me with this author. I'm not sure if my mood was off or if the beginning just lacked Tijan's usual luster. And I have to say, the over-the-top(ness) and craziness gets more ridiculous with each new book, but that alright...that's what makes this series so wonderfully entertaining.

As far-fetched and over-the-top as this YA series is, I can't help but love it anyway. This series is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. I have loved every minute of this high school, now graduated to college, melodrama!

In 'Fallen Crest University', Sam and Logan join Mason at college, only to become targets for Sebastian. Despite having his fraternity disbanded on campus, he is still every bit as focused on harming Mason as he was before. The only difference is that he's figured out that harming those he cares about the most would be more damaging to Mason.

Accordingly, this book focuses largely upon the ongoing grudge match between Mason and Sebastian. Anticipation and tension builds as we wait for Sebastian to make his big move against Sam. All the while, the guys seem to be constant targets of Sebastian and his cronies.

When Sebastian finally puts his plan into action, the layers of deceit that eventually come to light are astounding. He is better connected than anyone could have guessed and the cost of those connections is far more than Mason, Logan and Sam could have ever known. Even Sam's own father is tied to Sebastian.

Overall, I enjoyed this story a lot. It lacked the intense love story feeling that earlier books in the series had, as Mason and Sam are in a happy, stable relationship. I did kind of miss that intensity, but it was also nice to see the more secure, steadfast side of their relationship as well. There were some issues with Logan that I wanted to see explored more, as well as some concerning the reappearance of Sam's mom. However, I'm sure these issues will be explored more in future books.

3.5-4 Ruthless Stars!
I'm a huge fan FCH so I was very excited to get my hands on this book. I can't seem to get enough of these Kade brothers.
This one started off with Sam's dad getting married and then Sam and Logan moving in at college. Sam moving into the dorms with a new roommate and Logan of course with his brother and Nate.
Didn't really care for Sams roommate Summer. She was just weird. I couldn't put my finger on it at first. But I knew something was up with her. She stared at the brothers too much for me. lol
So it was a slow start with this one. We get a little of the Sebastian drama here and there. But I was mostly bored until around 65%. Then the Tijan drama that I love finally started. I couldn't read fast enough.
Lies are told, secrets are kept from each other. Logan and Sam keeping things from Mason so he won't jeopardize his football career. Mason keeping secrets from Sam and Logan trying to protect them and keep them out of his war against Sebastian. Logan keeping secrets from Mason trying to fight the war on his own. People get hurt and the secrets and lies finally come out. I love how these three no matter what protect each other. Their bond is the strongest I've ever seen. Nobody will ever break it.
Was I shocked when certain things came out? Hell yes!! Was I swooning when Mason and Sam were together? Hell Yes! Was I wanting to take a bat to Sebastian's head? Hell yes! Was I laughing when ever Logan was around? Hell yes!

Mason and Sam are the best couple ever. I love them both! They are a smexy couple and so intense.

“I’m always going to worry. When it comes to you, there’s nothing I won’t do, and he knows that. That’s my weakness—how much I love you, the lengths I’ll go to protect you.~Mason

“And I really love how you love me. Completely. Irrevocably. Overwhelmingly. Selflessly. Unconditionally.” He lifted his head, peering right down into me. His lips were just above mine. “Because I don’t deserve it, but somehow, I got it, and I will never, ever do anything to lose it.”~Mason

“I’m too selfish to let you go, but I’m selfless enough that I will always protect you.” He leaned forward, pressing a kiss to my lips. He breathed there, saying, “Because that’s my job. I will love you. I will take care of you. I will worry about you, and I will do everything in my being to make sure you are okay.”~Mason

Things come to a head at the end and I was so happy how they turned out. Of course we are left not really with a cliffy on this one but someone comes home at the end. Ugh! I'm not real sure about it either. lol
The best part was we got a teaser on Logan's Kades book coming this Winter. I want it now!! I'm dying to know who tames this boy!! I hope it's someone new.

“I’ll see what I can do, but, Sam, I’m like a god among mortals. I can’t help who falls in love with this.” He gestured up and down his body and winked at me. “Girls are going to love what they can’t have.”~Logan

Great job Tijan! You sure know how to make me wait impatiently for your next book!

Mason and Logan are definitely the only guys that can get me to fantasize about going at it with two brothers (it sounds weird even when I write it :P). But the truth is that this two...woooohooooo...this two are so hot only thinking about them gets me all hot and bothered.

I'm a huge fan of this series and I just loved all the novels in it but I have to admit this was the best one so far in my opinion. We're not dealing with mean girls or high school students anymore...and this goes even beyond college. This book takes everything to the next level because...

description

...but I...

description

The gang is back together and they are all in college. Sam tries to be a normal college student, Mason tries to keep Sam safe from his arc nemesis and Logan...well he's just Logan...banging anything that moves and starting fights :P

description

But THEY don't do normal and pretty soon fights get started...

description

...threats are being made...

description

...lies are being unraveled and trusts are being broken.

description

But this is just the tip of the iceberg because once you have the whole story you're like...

Loved this series?

Then you'll definitely love this book too!

Haven't read them yet?

3.5 stars - Not the best book in the series but I fell in love with these characters at the very beginning and I'm always happy to get more of them. It's definitely one of my guilty pleasure reads.

The problem is that I thought this was the last book in the series. Which was a good thing because book 4 already felt like filler. I was hoping for a great ending. And now not only are there going to be another 2 books in this series, Logan is also getting his own full length novel and Nate and Heather are getting novellas.
The series is drawn out and the quality is suffering. This series should have ended by now because this book didn't deliver as I had hoped and I can't see the author writing 2 more great books about these characters.
I know the series is popular but why do authors keep making this mistake? 'Quit while you're ahead' applies to book series too!

*************

Teasers before release:

“Nate never should’ve been with you,” I said, commanding all of their attention. We were close. The camera would rotate back. I wanted their focus on me, not Logan. “That was a mistake he rectified.”
Three.
Park’s eyes narrowed to slits. “I’m going to make both of you sorry you came back here--”
“What about me?” Logan smirked at him.
No. I wanted Park watching me.
Park turned, though. “I already tried to get your acceptance revoked.”
Well--holy--I wasn’t expecting that response.
Two.
Logan opened his mouth. His eyes sparked in anger and he was going to say something to piss him off. I blocked him. I needed their eyes on me.
I said, “Time’s up.” I said it calmly, quietly, but it worked. They all turned to me and Sebastian’s eyes widened. He started to rear back--
One.
I rushed forward.
Park lifted his arm up to block my launch.
I soared past him.
He frowned.
It happened in the blink of an eye, but I caught it all. I had opened him up to Logan and I checked the Big Mother Fucker against the wall, holding him back.
I looked over my shoulder and saw it.
Logan threw the first punch. Park was looking over his shoulder, following where I had gone before he realized his mistake. Logan got him clear across the face, on top of the nose and then it was game on.

“Hi, honey.” Malinda pulled me in for a hug, her hand rubbed over my back and she squeezed me once more before pulling back to let David hug me next.
Mason was hugging Malinda behind me, but David didn’t let me go. They were waiting. David continued to hold me. He whispered, his words choked up, “I love you so much, Samantha. You have no idea how much and I am so blessed to have you in my life. I wanted you to know that.”
More emotions were swimming in me and I knew tears were sliding down my cheeks. My god. I pulled back and saw the same wetness on his cheeks. I couldn’t talk, but I could whisper as I said, “With everything we went through, thank you for coming back for me. Thank you for bringing me in.” I looked at Malinda, who was watching our exchange. She smiled at me, tears in her eyes too. She mouthed to herself, her hand rested on her throat, “Oh Samantha.”
I said to both of them, “Thank you for loving me.”
“OH!” Malinda threw her arms around us and hugged both of us at the same time. Then I felt her pulling back and she motioned behind me. “Marcus. Logan. Mason. All of you get in here. Family hug, everyone.”
I glanced over my shoulder.
Mark was coming in and he would’ve stepped right behind me. Mason and Logan grabbed for him at the same time. He stopped, puzzled, and looked at them. Logan shook his head as Mason said, “Move to the left.”
“Ha.” Understanding dawned and he scurried over, a crooked grin forming on his face.

***

Logan went behind the bar and shots were immediately poured. I started for the bathroom, but he lifted a cup for me. “Sam, get over here.”
“I’m going to the bathroom.”
He shook his head. His eyes darkened and he held the cup higher in the air. “You can piss later. Let’s drink first.”
I glanced to Mason and I saw that he was fed up. He moved to stand in front of me and he started for his brother. “Okay. That’s enough. What the fuck is up your ass?”
“Nothing.”
Mason reached for the cup, but Logan moved out of the way. He extended to me again. “Sam. Come on. Team player here.”
My chin lifted. That was a direct burn against me. Logan didn’t do that shit. He didn’t take his anger out on me. Others yes, but not me.
Mason growled and ripped the cup from Logan’s hand. “You want to explain that little dig right now?”
Mark moved further to the background. He was glancing between all of us and I didn’t blame him. Mark was family, but he wasn’t in the core three. All our disagreements were held onto until behind closed doors. He was getting a front row ticket now and Logan and Mason were scary when they were standing against others, but they were downright dangerous when dealing with each other. There was love between them and a fierce loyalty, but they didn’t hold back either. This was one of those moments.

I ran my fingers through his hair and pulled back enough to gaze into his eyes. He was scared. I saw that. I’d felt it during the summer, each night as he held me and he grew more and more tense the closer we got to this weekend. “Mason.” I had no intention of being one of his weaknesses. “You don’t have to worry about me. No matter what, we’ll fight it. No one will hurt her. No one will hurt Logan.”
His hand rested on the back of my neck. He was searching my face. I saw it then. He wanted to believe me, but he couldn’t. Mason knew better. We’d been through too much bullshit to believe that everything will be okay, but he didn’t have to worry about me. That was one thing I needed to make sure he believed. I couldn’t be his Achilles Heel and I had a feeling that was what he was concerned about. I was a girl. I was weak. I was the easiest target to focus on.
No.
It wasn’t going to happen.
I tightened my hold on his hair. “I mean it, Mason. You do not have to worry about me. I’m there. I’m at your side. I’ll do whatever you want.”
“Sam,” he started.
I saw the struggle in him and shook my head. “No. Stop. I mean it. I get to have your back this time. And I will. There’s no one after me. No scorned lover, no obsessed stalked, or even a hateful bitch like Cass. No one like that will get close to me. Been there. Done that. I know how to handle them.” I pulled him close, peering deeply into his eyes. The struggle was still there. He was torn so I smiled and softly pressed my lips to his once again. I murmured against them, “Trust me this time. I know what we’re going into at school and you don’t have to worry about me. I’m there to help you. That’s it. That’s all.”
He shook his head. “You shouldn’t have to. That’s what is pissing me off. I shouldn’t have to worry Park would ever go after you, but after…he’s capable of anything.”
“Stop.” I shook him, just a little bit. Mason kicked ass. He stood in the line and dared people to go against him. He wasn’t like this, unsure of the future. It wasn’t a Mason I used to and that tugged at my heart even more. He truly was scared for me and Logan. “I will make friends, if that will ease your mind. I will surround myself with my new college comrades and when I come over to your house, I’ll make sure to be very careful. You or Logan can come and pick me up all the time. How about that?”
The agony was still evident in his eyes. He only said, “He can’t hurt you. I don’t know what I’d do if he did.”
“He won’t.” I leaned close, pressing a kiss to him once more. I whispered, “I promise.”
“YO!”
We drew back as a shout came from the front door. A second later, Logan and Mark rushed in. Their cheeks were red and their eyes seemed elated. Beads of sweat had formed on their foreheads and both were grinning.
Logan said again, “Yo.” He stopped, his eyes narrowed and he cocked his head to the side. “Did you two just beat it here?”
Mason’s hand fell from my waist and he rolled his eyes. “Logan, we’re not like rabbits, humping twenty four seven.”
“Why not?” Logan grabbed the orange juice from the refrigerator and brought it over to the table. As he set it down, Mark grabbed two glasses. Both sat down and Logan added, “I would. You know, if I could…like we could’ve been—”
“Shut the fuck up.”
Logan winked at me as he kept grinning, pouring the juice into his glass. “Come on, brother. I thought we were all fine with what was discussed. You know, the idea of Sam and me, that there could’ve been…”
Mason growled. “I punched you back then. I will do it again.”
“What?” Logan gestured to his face. “Not this. It’s gotta stay pretty. Momma Malinda will have your ass in a sling otherwise.” He paused, his eyes were alive and sparkling as he skirted between Mason and myself. His lip curved even higher. “What do you think, Sam? What would they have called us? You and Mason are Samson. We could’ve been…Samog? No. That doesn’t sound right. Sagan? Lotha? That doesn’t sound right either. What about just SamLo? Nah. Still not right.”

***

“Hi.” A girl approached me with her hand held out. She was tall, sleek red hair, and the cheekbones any model would’ve killed to get. Giving me a warm smile, she added, “We’re roommates. I’m Belle.”
I lifted my hand, about to shake hers when Logan slid up next to me. His arm landed around my shoulder and he drawled, “Bella as in beautiful and,” he leaned back to rake his gaze up and down her slender form, then he whistled. “Holy shit, you are. Your parents done good with naming you.”
She gave a small laugh, but lifted her hand for me.
As I shook it, I murmured, “Sorry about him.” I gestured to the side with my head. “Logan’s my stepbrother and he’s back to his manwhoring ways.”
He winked at her.
“It’s fine. I’m a model so getting hit on happens.” She made a show of leaning back and checking him up and down. Then she shrugged. “And I’ve modeled with better.”
“Oh! Burn.”
But Logan didn’t care. As she left for the hallway to get more of her bags, he whistled under his breath. “That, holy shit, Sam. That’s the beauty of college. Yeah.” His arm tightened around my neck and he squeezed me against his side. “You think you’re hanging out at the house with me and Mase. Nope. Not happening. Your room is our new hangout. Hey, even better idea. Wanna switch? You take my room and I’ll take yours?”

***

“Are you fucking with me?”
I whipped around. Logan was standing there, his hands clenched into fists beside him, and his jaw clenched. When I saw his eyes, a shiver went down my back. “Logan,” I started for him, but he backed up. The movement cut me off and I already knew he had heard everything. So I said instead, “Don’t tell Mason.”
“Fuck that,” he ground out. “He talked to you like that? You let him?”
“What?” I reared back. “Huh?”
“Did he threaten you?”
Oh. That’s what he thought. I started shaking my head. I couldn’t shake it faster. “No, no, no. He was just…” What did I say? He was trying to scare me? Trying to get to Mason through me? How I wasn’t going to let that happen? I couldn’t say any of that. I shrugged. “Please, Logan. Don’t say a word.”
“This is Mason’s fight.”
I started to shake my head again—
He added, “This is my fight.” He started towards me. “Your fight.” Another step. “Nate’s fight.” One last step. “This is all of us. Not just one of us makes decisions. We all do.”
I gulped. He was right, but… I didn’t want to hurt Mason. Knowing that Sebastion could get to me—that would hurt him.
“I just didn’t want to worry him.”
Logan shook his head, his voice quieted. “It’s not just about you. Like I said, this is all of us. We all know everything. We’re all in, right?”
Oh hell. I let out a sigh. “You’re right.” I met his eyes and some of that worry started to fade. “This is all of our fight.”

***

“I remember who you are.”
He walked around me, looking me up and down with a cold smirk on his face. Pausing in front of me, his eyes narrowed and he cocked his head to the side, one hand resting on his chin. “Do you? I remember you too.”
My eyes narrowed as well. He was looking for a weakness. He wasn’t going to find out. Instead, I drawled, “Are you trying to scare me? Is that what this is about?”
One of his eyebrows arched up. “Is that what you think of me? That I’m here to scare you?”
“Well, you’re not here for tea and crumpets, are you?”
A smooth chuckle left him and his head straightened. The cold smirk lifted to a grin as he shook his head. “I can see why Kade loves you. You’re one of a kind. I see it. I do.”
“And I can see why he hates you.”
“Does he?” He pretended to mull that over, tapping a finger to his chin again. “That’s right. He did burn my house down, didn’t he?” As he said those words, the grin fell into a scowl. “And now you’re here…going to college…so close…so vulnerable.” He drew each phrase out slowly, pausing between them and as he did, a shiver worked its way up my spine. He had been waiting the whole time for me. Whatever he had planned, I was part of his revenge against Mason.
It wasn’t going to happen. I wasn’t going to let it. “You think you’re the first person to try and hurt me?” Most did it to get to Mason, not to get at Mason. “This isn’t my first rodeo, if you get what I mean.”
“Oh, Samantha.” He stepped close, looking down at me as he almost whispered my name. “This isn’t mine either.”

12/25 FALLEN CREST CHRISTMAS
(timeline after Fallen Fourth Down and before Fallen Crest 5)

Mason was in Fallen Crest. I was in Boston. This Christmas was going to suck. I didn’t even want to contemplate it as I laid in bed that morning. Garrett had been great. The entire trip to Boston, being flown first-class, getting picked up by him and his driver, spending the last few days in his apartment that was downtown in Boston. All of it was glamorous, in some effed-up way, but I didn’t want to be there. I wanted to be in bed. I wanted to have woken up with Mason beside me.
“Samantha?” Garrett’s voice came through the door.
I cursed under my breath, but called out, “Good morning.” I didn’t want to talk to him yet, but I didn’t want him worried that something was wrong. He’d be knocking every five minutes asking if I wanted something to eat, something to drink, if he should order a movie, etc.
“It’s Christmas today.”
“Yep.” Fucking great. “Merry Christmas.”
“Uh, can you come out here? There’s a surprise for you.”
A small laugh left me. “I saw the Christmas tree. Those thirty presents aren’t really surprises.”
“No, I mean,” he leaned back, and his voice grew muffled. I sat up, frowning, but then I heard him say, “Okay. Love you too.” Then he leaned back closer to the door, his voice growing clear again. He said, “I’m making breakfast for us, but I have it on good authority that you like coffee too. There’s a latte here. I don’t want it to go cold.”
“Oh.” I sighed. That was really sweet of him. “Okay. I’ll be out in a little bit.”
“I’ll hurry with the first batch of pancakes then.”
As he left, I got dressed, but it was just Garrett and me. If I’d been at Fallen Crest, I would’ve put on jeans and a better top. Mason and Logan would’ve been at the house all day. Heather might’ve stopped over. Hell. Because of Mark, I was sure some of the Academites would’ve come as well. At this rate, I wouldn’t have even minded them.
When I headed for the kitchen, all I could think about was who I was missing at home. Tears were at my eyes, threatening to spill, but I could hear Garrett’s voice. He was back on the phone and he sounded so damn happy. I stopped, right before the kitchen and took a breath. I was in Boston because Mason and Logan wanted me there. I was there for my safety in case of any fall-out from the house burning, but damn. It hurt. A lot.
I wanted to be with them.
But I wasn’t. I was here, with my biological dad.
Forcing a smile on my face, I stepped into the kitchen. Garrett was smiling at me, a look of expectation in his eyes. I frowned. “What?”
He gestured towards the door. “There’s your latte.”

We burned a house down. Images of it in flames were seared into my memory. Even now, sitting in my seat and waiting for the flight attendants to let us out, I couldn’t get it out of my head. Mason wanted me to leave. He said he wanted me away from whatever was going to happen in the aftermath, so here I was, but damn. I wanted to be there.
“Boobs?”
“What?” I glanced at the guy sitting next to me.
He pointed at my phone. “Sorry. I saw your phone. Anything to do with that body part is an instant attention-grabber.” He grinned at me, his double chin smiled with him. When he saw I wasn’t amused, this grin faded and he folded his arms over his stomach. “Sorry. I get inappropriate when I get nervous. That’s what my ex-wife always told me. You married? Wait, no. You look young. I could’ve had a daughter your age. How old are you?”
Tapping my screen so it went black, I put the phone into my bag. One of the flight attendants stopped at our seat then, her hand curling around the back of the seat in front of us. She had a bright and professional smile on her face. “Thank you for flying with us. You may now exit the plane.”
Finally.
Standing up, I headed out first. It was one of the perks of flying first class, thank you to Garrett. Weaving around the passengers waiting to get on our plane, I headed to baggage claim and then pulled out my phone once again to call my dad.
My dad.
Those two words stopped me.
I called him ‘my dad’ in my head without thinking about it. Sighing, I didn’t know what that meant, but then an alert popped up on my screen and any emotions that might’ve come with that revelation was wiped clean.
Don’t think about Boobs. Just have fun in Boston. Enjoy the holiday with Garrett.
I laughed, remembering my seatmate’s reaction. Mason said it was better if there was no evidence, on the phone or internet, so we needed a code word to refer to the incident. Logan chose Boobs and when Nate quickly jumped in, agreeing to that word, it was cemented. Boobs was our code word.
Thanks, Logan, I thought as I typed back, I’ll try and stop thinking about Boobs. It’s hard. I’m worried about the Boobs.
Waiting a moment, I began to scroll through for Garrett’s number. Then Mason’s response buzzed in, Fucking Logan. Matteo saw my phone just now and asked if you’re getting a boob job.
I glanced at my chest. I wasn’t well-endowed, but I had never heard any complaints. I texted back, Do I need to?
No. Sorry. Stupid—you know what. I’ll call you tonight. Have fun and don’t worry about Boobs. I promise. It’ll be fine.
Easier said than done. They were back at Cain University. Logan was spending his holidays there, sleeping in the basement with Nate. The entire football team was still there since they had a home game in two days. They were together. They were in the hotzone, if any retaliation happened, while I was away and across the freaking country.
Worrying and feeling helpless were a misery on a whole other level.
Have fun, he said. I laughed and sent a quick text to Garrett, letting him know I was ready. Having fun was something I highly doubted to be having. Then my phone beeped back, Garrett was waiting for me right outside. Going through the exit doors, the blast of cold hit me first and then I saw him in the back of a car. He was holding the door open and waved me over, wearing leather gloves and a warm winter coat.
“Sam!”
He slid over so I could get in. As I shut the door behind me, he was beaming at me, “Welcome to Boston!”
I sighed.

Can't wait!!

Sam & Mason
Heather & Logan -fingers crossed...
Nate & someone awesome!!!

Well I finally read it and I loved it!! As usual, I love the complexity at which Mason operates. Even though I know he's five steps ahead of everything and everyone I never see how it's all going to play out. I trust no one ever but still the twists and turns are so much fun. I love Sam, I love Mason and I love Logan. I'm glad they defeated Sebastian but I liked Summer so that was disappointing yet understandable. Garret turned out to be a surprise so that was great too. Can't wait to see the complex woman who can truly captures Logan. That will be a fierce one. Loved it..

I’m loving Mason and Sam more and more in each book I read they’ve come such a long way. I was so happy to see them reunited and experiencing college together, even with the drama that seems to follow them. The showdown with Sebastian had me a nervous wreck knowing his such a smart, and cunning villain, hated his guts! But as much as I hated Sebastian, I dare say he brought a new level of intensity to the drama aspect to this part. I was surprised too, by some of the twist, and how I ended up loving a certain character that finally did right by Sam. And of course my favorite part is always the strong love between Mason and Sam. No matter what comes they never let anyone get between them.

I’m so ready for Logan’s book I want to see him with his own love. I’m tired of “what could of” “should of” “would of” with Sam that really needs to be put to rest. As for the ending Tijan never disappoints with those cliffhangers. ♥️

Fallen Crest University has all the drama and angst! I swear these books are unputdownable. This one was extra intense now that they’re all in college and have new enemies. Mason, Sam, and Logan still have each other and are going against Park Sebastian as well as a few others involved. That ending was wild and as always, I’m ready to read more from this series. Excited to see that Logan’s book is next.

I definitely enjoyed this book more than the last one! Finally, Sam and Mason are back together in University. Of course, it is never smooth sailing for these too, and they have an enemy that they have to watch out for! The dramatics continue, and I still wonder why this series catches my utmost attention?!! It for sure does though, and I am enjoying the ride that Logan, Samantha, and Mason are taking me on! I would say that this series is my guilty pleasure!!

One thing that I do love, is the fact that Mason and Sam's relationship always remains strong. Their bond sticks even though they are always fighting some kind of outside battle. Add brother Logan in the mix, and it makes for such a loyal bond between the three of them! Truly, that is what family is all about..unconditional love and support!

In the next installment, we will be watching Logan fall in love! I'm going to say that it is about time this playboy becomes tamed!!! Or can you even tame someone like him?? We shall see!! LOL

I WANTED MOREE! I need to see so much more action and crazy stuff happening. Like, the author could have written and described things happening more thoroughly. Some events felt a little rushed and left me wondering about them or with questions.

I didn't really like Nate in this book, which sucks, because I used to love Nate. I felt like he was kind of a pussy in this book. What happened to him being Mason's dangerous partner in crime? And I feel that way about Sam in this book, too. She had evolved and gone through sooo much shit in past books, but I feel like this book sent her back to being the frightened girl that hid behind Mason nearer towards the end, a bit like book two-- Fallen Crest Family. Don't even get me started on Logan & Heather in this book! I wanted so much more for their relationship :(

I felt like this book lacked in substance a little. Honestly, I would describe this book as alright, tbh. Don't get me wrong, I, of course, liked the book. Just, thank God there are two more lined up in the series, with two companion novels as well, coming. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book, though.

What I wanna see in this book:

- More Mason and Sam!
- Logan & Heather (come on, we all know this needs to happen)
- I don't know why, but I just wanna see some more Marissa (not with Mason, but I wanna see her move on)
- Nate with a girlfriend (I wanna see him end up with some soft, albeit feisty, girl, but I still want it to be unexpected)
- I also want an AWESOME epilogue (too many final books I'm reading are ending with either no telling of the future, or a shitty, too short epilogue).
- I kinda want Analise to come back and stir up some trouble, too. ;)

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*I think I'm tired of this series*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱
This review is purely for me and might contain spoilers and facts from the book to keep myself in the known at all time. It's also long and somewhat detailed.

Re-read: 27.05.2018
We're back with Samantha ‘Sam’ Jacquelyn Strattan (18) and her boyfriend/future-stepbrother, Mason ‘Mase’ James Kade (18). They have been going strong for three years now and had been through a mountain of troubles. Now they are ready for a new chapter. Both Mason and Sam have full scholarships at Cain University; Mason for football, which is going great and Sam in track (running). Logan got accepted as well as Nate. Both Nate and Mason has already gone to the school for a year and this year is Logan and Sam's first year. Unfortunately, they have an enemy to handle. An enemy who is determent to destroy Mason.
He slid his hands over my cheek and cupped the side of my face. His thumb brushed back and forth over my skin. He said, “I’m too selfish to let you go, but I’m selfless enough that I will always protect you.” He leaned forward, pressing a kiss to my lips. He breathed there, saying, “Because that’s my job. I will love you. I will take care of you. I will worry about you, and I will do everything in my being to make sure you are okay.”

Overall, I didn't like how little power it felt like Mason had. I mean, I understand it, he has his future to think about, but everything was so different from what I'm used to with Mason. He's still amazing though, and he is just trying to let Sam and Logan have a first normal first year at college. I feel like Nate is left out too much. I don't feel the friendship between him and Mason, if I ever have. Sam is still lying - though she does it for the right reasons - she never should've done it. (Still not liking her all that much; I connected and understood her more in book one. After that...) However, Mason lied too. They are just trying to protect each other. Logan was...well Logan. I can barely take him serious, to be honest. My only love in this series is Mason. I want my own Mason. That being said, the book was a boring re-read for me. I started skimming at 40% and I just wanted to be done. Two more books left (that I haven't read) and I am.
“It’s a weird feeling.”
“What is?”
“Healing.”
And right there, that word from her, took my breath away. Fuck the dorm deal. I shoved the other concern away. I’d deal with it on my own terms.
I started the vehicle.
“Where are we going?”
“You’re staying the night.” I flashed her a grin.

Other characters:
I've put these in a spoilers tag simply because it's a long as list.
“And I really love how you love me. Completely. Irrevocably. Overwhelmingly. Selflessly. Unconditionally.” He lifted his head, peering right down into me. His lips were just above mine. “Because I don’t deserve it, but somehow, I got it, and I will never, ever do anything to lose it.”

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Young Adult/Mature) Contemorary Romance.
Series: - Series, Book Five.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Mason Kade.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Sure.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Sure.
Will I read this again in the future? - Probably not.
New Rating - 2.5 stars.

I'm very disappointed in FCU. This book was like reading Fallen Crest Public.( Book 3 ) all over again except in a different setting. Instead of the girls after Sam , it was Sebastian & his fraternity brothers after Mason. There was ZERO character development and the plot was weak. No way did I think any of the characters were college students this book was a bunch of over the top drama.

There's just nothing more that can be added to Sam & Mason story they're long overdue for their HEA. It feels now Tijan is dragging their story out. And, the teaser for Logan book is the same tired story line fighting at a party . I've being a loyal fan of the Fallen Crest Series, but I'm officially done after this book.

It was so good to be back with my favorite Fallen Crest family. Mason, Logan, Sam and Nate are finally all back together at Cain University and of course where the fearsome foursome go trouble will follow.

Park Sebastian was a total jackass. There was a brief window where I thought maybe he was just a privileged tool but he soon disproved that thought. Park was a totally different kind of enemy than Mason, Logan, and Sam were used to. He was a planner, with resources to back him and some intelligence to back his planning. It was definitely an interesting matchup.

This book had all the drama and intrigue as its predecessors. If you're a fan of Tijan and her Fallen Crest series odds are this will be a winner for you. I am dying for December to come and for my favorite Kade brother to have his own book!! The teaser was cruel! Lol I loved it though. I hope the book does mine and Logan's relationship justice ;P

ufff, bloody ufff to all the shit these characters went through, willingly or not...

Fuck that, I was definitely lost in all the crazed up DRAMA, I think i can easily sit down and pour my heart out on the piece of paper just sipping out the emotional shit I felt while and after I read this.

Mason, Logan and Sam, well guys you did it again...don't know how you did it, but honestly I wouldn't like to be in your shoes people...this world of yours, these spoiled and rotten, sick environment you live in had me pissing around and dwelling what the fuck would I do in that situation...and all that came to my mind was this...

and that would not be good...

so i guess you are glad I am not in the book, huh? LOL

well, I am glad too!

there's more drama than in soap opera...and my mind is swirling involontarily now...so I think i will lay to rest until the next PARTY of THREE rides the flames...and starts scorching things up...or maybe i ll just drop dead tired...LOL

but above all, Mason, dear God...

Well once again another HolyEpicAmazing addition to the Fallen Crest Series! For those of you that are new to Tijan.... Be prepared for the ride of a lifetime !

My official word definition/entry to Anna-pedia :

TIJANED

The act of reading a book like you are on crack. Chewing your nails like you are a beaver on crack. Sweating like you are a pig on crack. Your heart hurts from random palpitations. Your head hurts from trying to figure out what the F is going on. Your eyes hurt from practically bulging out of their sockets. Your girly parts are singeing from erupting into a molten lava quivering explosive combusting hot mess. The hottest mess. You finish the book and you float into nothingness.

AND THEN ...... You turn to the next page ...... You see THAT SNEAK PEAK and you just countdown the days until the next release !!! I can't wait !!!

SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN !!!

I need this baby here....

Absolutely loved this book. Mason, Logan and Sam are all back together. Sam is back to being badass like she was in the first book. The ending has me itching to read the next in the series. I’ve been on the fence about reading Logan’s book because I KNOW he’s going to make me mad at one point. But I don’t want to miss any of the story either. I absolutely loved seeing the growth in all of them during this story.

This series is like a drug to me. Even if it becomes a never ending series, I will never stop reading it. NEVER!!!
Everything with Mason in it, I will devour. DEVOUR!!!
However, I must admit that this sequel was simply ridiculous. It's a wonder that the Kade brothers don't rule the world already.

Hey Tijan, I think it'd be amazing if you did a trilogy on Logan and Heather falling in love and the same with Nate and someone else falling in love. Make sure Nate falls in love with someone he never would have expected to fall in love with. I honestly am buzzing just thinking about Nates story uurrgghhhh!!

5+ Cougar Stars!

Oh God... these guys! Anyone who knows them well understands! I knew it was going to be great, were talking the Kane men ladies :) What really is there to say. It resumes with the war of the fearsome three against Park Sebastian and his frat boys. A prologue kicks off with Sexiness himself, Mason Kade. Park and his boys playing dirty. The year is expected to be full of chaos and Mason is so worried about what's in store knowing Park will hit him where it hurts... Logan and Sam. Provoking him in hopes Mason gives into his anger and make the first move. Yet his back is against the wall with his football career at stake. Logan and Sam decide they will keep everything that happens a secret from Mason to protect him and his career. I saw a different Logan in this, not only doing his usual but playing some Mason as well, some touchy moments that had me oh~no~ing! The thing that remains the same is that personality that is Logan Kade, ahhhh.

Don't you love Logan?! Of course he brought the fun to the story yet he could turn deadly serious in the blink of an eye. I wonder how a relationship between him and Sam would have been. I would want them both those boys ;D Who will it be to tame this guy? It'd be fun doing it! His ways have not changed and a few times Mason had to set him straight regarding comments to Sam just to rile Mason up which was funny as hell!

Mason and Sam still have that strong relationship I so loved along each book. It amazes me how devoted Tijan made his character. He shows that sweet loving side to Sam yet gives off coldness to others, he just doesn't trust anyone outside of his circle, I love it.

I want a Mason so bad! I love to picture my visuals while reading, I can't read a faceless character so therefore the reading is much more enjoyful.

It was pretty obvious to me right regarding the start of their "war". It took a turn towards the end that I was iffy about but it turned out ok and some shockers in there. You can probably imagine Mason wasn't too happy with Logan and Sam when he finds out what they have been hiding. The lovers of these Kade boys will not be disappointed! Sam is just Sam, I needed more of Mason and Logan for my withdrawal. I want to add that coming across this story, a long time ago, was by accident. It was free, I normally didn't go after HS reads but hey I see FREE and you know. Hooked is what happened, I couldn't get enough. Because of that, I'm more willing to try younger reads. Tijan could keep this series going and I wouldn't get bored. Mason is my #1 alpha (YA) male ever, I. LOVE. HIM! Logan I have no words... he's just adorable and hilarious, I'd love to get my hands on him as well(that's where the Cougar status comes in! Yum these boys, *groan*) and I can NOT wait for his story! YES, YES! Enjoy girls because I know I did!

“Hashtag revenge shit machine.”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌏
Character development: ☹️😮😋😄🥰
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Sam - After all her family troubles, bully troubles and her worry last year about Logan being in love with her, things are much better for Sam this year. She has a full ride scholarship to Cain University, she will be doing track and running cross country for the team and her dad is getting married to Melinda. She is getting to know her birth father and her crazy mother is safely away where she can no longer hurt Sam.

The Hero: Mason - he is the star wide receiver for the Cain University football team and though he had issues with his best friend Nate last year, they are best friends again. His relationship with Sam is back on track and they are working at communicating better with each other after they each kept secrets from each other last year.

The Story: a new enemy emerged at Cain University for Mason. Park Sebastian was the leader of Nate’s old fraternity. Park had wanted to get to know Mason and use him in any way he could. Since Mason was the star of the college football team, and had been the same in high school, he was sick of people using him and wanted none of it. So, after Park and his fraternity tried to run down Mason with a truck and instead got Marissa, Mason burned down their frat house and got the frat ejected from the University. After that they were suspended for fighting (though Mason was able to finish his finals online). Now Mason and Sam are both attending Cain U along with Nate and Logan.

Sam and Mason still plan to keep some secrets from each other. From the start, Mason plans to keep his schemes against Sebastian Park from Sam to keep her out of the war between the two of them. Sam plans to keep anything Park does to get at Mason through her from Mason to try to keep him from retaliating and getting hurt or in trouble. Because Mason is a college athlete that is expected to go to the pro’s, he can’t get caught fighting on school grounds or get arrested for anything or he will get expelled, ruining his future.

The story in this book is much more involved than in previous books and got pretty deep. I enjoyed this one so much. I love this entire series, especially how Sam, Mason and Logan are such a tight family. This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Saskia Maarleveld and Graham Halstead. Saskia has a terrific voice and sounds very natural. She is great at doing different voices for different characters. I am not fond of Graham Halstead’s voice for Mason, but his voice was pretty good for Logan. Graham does sound natural and is a good narrator. I am getting more used to his voice and liking it more with each book.

3.5 Stupid Sam Stars
Things are getting a smidge out of hand. I’m torn, on one hand, it’s so OTT ridiculous, but on the other hand, after the snoozefest that was Fallen Fourth Down, I appreciated some action. (but you’re going to have to suspend all disbelief to get through it) The gangs all at Cain U now, and ready to deal with their next baddie, Sebastian Park. Last book, Sebastian tried to run over Mason, because he wouldn’t join his fraternity, and was mean to him. 🙄 So, Mason retaliated by burning down their fraternity. The book opens with Mason getting jumped by several of Seb’s goons. He successfully fights off like 10 guys (cuz he’s such a badass 😑) but the shits just getting started. Once again, these love birds are keeping secrets, (after vowing not to last book) but this time it’s to protect each other. Mason wants Sam to enjoy her freshman year, and Sam wants Mason to stay eligible to play football.

Stupid Sam annoyed me less than Sad Sam. She’s not crying ALL the time, but the girl can’t really accomplish anything without Mason. On and on we listen to her muse about her needs for him, and how this time she’s going to protect him, then watch her make another stupid decision. How has none of Mason’s ways rubbed off on her?? For those that love Sad Sam, rest assured, she’s still around.

My lip started to tremble. Emotion like I’d never felt before was pressing down over me.

The sudden feeling of being lost wafted up, and I shoved it down. I needed to go on a run.

She faltered again. “I got jealous.” A sheen of tears were on her eyelids. “They’re my family, not his, and I got jealous about that.” She wiped at the tears with the back of her hand

A lump was clogging my throat

But don’t fear, because she decides at the end that she’ll be a new person… Better, stronger, smarter, independent, because she’s never done that before. $20 bucks says she’ll be a crying, running, trembling, finger twisting wimp next book.

Bottom Line- I enjoyed this more than the last couple, but I really feel like these two need to run off into the sunset. It’s getting repetitive, and losing steam. The characters are pretty much frozen with no real development. Sam can't wipe her own ass without Mason's encouragement, and I'm tired of listening to him reassure, protect, and save her ass. It's time for her to grow some lady balls, and for Mase and Logan to quit coddling her.

I love Mason, Sam, and Logan.

Some of my favorite quotes from the book. I am not going to say anything else and give away the story. The synopsis will tells you what it is about or what Mason, Sam, and Logan are going against.

I need you. That's all I need.

I'm too selfish to let you go, but I'm selfless enough that I will always protect you. Because that's my job. I will love you. I will take care of you. I will worry about you, and I will do everything in my being to make sure you are okay."

"You and me."
"We protect each other."
"We do."

"And I really love how you love me. Completely. Irrevocably. Overwhelmingly. Selflessly. Unconditionally."

Side note: In Logan's book, he needs a nice girl. Not one with a long sexual history. He has enough slutty girls around him. He needs a decent girl and not one that wants to have sex when he just winks at her. I know most are rooting for the whole Logan and Heather, but I am not on that train. I don't want that. I just don't see it and Heather already has a past with that other guy... Channing. Logan needs someone who is not in that crowd or a "groupie". And please
