ANGST with a capital A-N-G-S-T.
This KILLED ME! Gah! I loved how their relationship evolved and then BAM pain, pain, pain. I hurt so much for them both but especially Derek.
I kind of loved it.

You really can't go wrong with a canon based story that has Stiles exploring his magical powers. He's taking lessons from Deaton and begrudgingly has to share time with Derek who's working on his own issues. There's a bit of competition, a lot of banter, and ultimately some bonding when trying to defeat a baddie together.
Definitely one of the better fics featuring Stiles's voice - sarcastic, self deprecating, tortured, assholish - all with signature rambling and spot on humor.
In and amongst some fun moments, this was actually quite angsty with plenty of man pain for both Stiles and Derek to lament and brood about. It's nice that this also was rated "E".
FYI - this was narrated by chemm80 which is an excellent narrator choice if you like podfics.

"Desolate and miserable," Derek said. "Last night we had a group recital of The Raven."
Derek and Stiles (Magic!Stiles in this one) agree to take lessons from Deaton every Saturday morning. They start off very reluctant allies, but an attraction grows.
It's weird, I really like this one, but have a number of issues with it at the same time - first and foremost, in the beginning of the fic, the hostility between Derek and Scott and even Stiles I thought was overly venomous . My second issue Third issue, and I don't know if I just missed this, but I couldn't figure out when this was supposed to diverge from canon - post season 3A? sometime during the second? the end of the first season? I just couldn't pick up on clues on when this was supposed to be. But the fic is well written and the tension between Derek and Stiles done so well and I really liked how both of them were portrayed and how their relationship developed and grew over a series of Saturdays spent together. And I really enjoyed the fic, so what the hell am I complaining about. If you love Sterek, you'll enjoy this.

Loved this, 4.5 stars. Hot sex, angst, magic, the perfect storm of Sterek!
Although, I think I've read a similar fic, that at least starts the same way, with Derek and Stiles training with Deaton and getting closer, but without the "mind control" or the golems. I just can't remember what it was...

finished this awhile ago, never got to review it.
It was okay, a nice little adventure though the knowing what was happening seemed a huge leap of logic with nothing shown to back it up.
A fun read, don't recall many details.

Lovely transition for Derek and Stiles from barely standing each other to understanding each other and developing emotional connections.
So, a bit of action, some romance, not too much x-rated stuff and a happily ever after. Good enough.

People keep adding fics and I get all excited like "OH! New Sterek, new Sterek!"-- only to be greatly disappointed when discovering that I've already read these fics over a bloody year ago.. :/ *sigh*

Oooh, I loved how this author really had Stiles questioning his magical ability and thinking that the attraction Derek felt was all because Stiles wanted it that way. And also, LOL! at Stiles crooning to the things the wanted to magick, talking to them and coaxing everything from the coffeepot to the golems to do as he asked! It's a good thing that's Stiles' "thing" because if Derek had to do it they'd all be dead. Also, sex scene was HOT!

I love me some magic!Stiles. I especially loved that it was Derek who ended up knowing him well enough to help him figure out how to control his powers. And snarky Derek after being told to narrate his reasoning had me totally cracking up.

"I'm going to the bathroom," he bit out. "Because I think it'd be a bad idea to pee on the birdhouse."
He felt a lot like he had when he was eleven, and hoping Harry Potter was real, to be completely honest.
Stiles hated when Derek was right. It grated on him like nails on the worst, most annoying, grumpiest chalkboard.

I abso-fucking-lutely loved that Stiles talked and cajoled stuff into being magic for him. Coffee pot Wanda? Indignant enchanted dagger? Brilliant!
Heartbreaking in the best possible way that Stiles wanted Derek badly enough to believe he actually pined Derek into wanting him back.
And a vulnerable, sincere, in-love Derek? Oh, yes. Definitely. And there is snark and massive eye rolls? I want all of it.

This was a good story. This is a Sterek fanfiction story. For those of you that don't know...Sterek fanfic is based off 2 male characters, Stiles and Derek, from the TV show Teen Wolf. In the show they're both heterosexual but some viewers have fantasized about them together in a m/m relationship and thus Sterek was born. This story take place in a paranormal world that seems to be based around the TV show but most of the details are vague enough that it's hard to say.
The story begins with Deaton offering lessons to Derek, Stiles and Scott. Scott and Derek's lessons are on being an Alpha and Stiles' lessons are to help him gain control over his magical spark and make it into a flame. Scott doesn't want to be around Derek and refuses to take the classes but Stiles and Derek are both interested. The classes start with Derek and Stiles behaving rather adversarially towards each other but that eventually changes as they get to know each other better. Stiles and Derek's relationship is iffy at first and there's not much trust between them but that does smooth out as they spend more time together. Things develope between them but there is a misunderstanding that causes some issues for them just when the are starting to come together. Thankfully, these issues get worked out and the story ends with Stiles and Derek starting a relationship together.
This was an enjoyable story. Stiles and Derek were both portrayed pretty well although there was a time or 2 when I thought Derek seemed a bit more well adjusted than I'd expect. Most of the time he was still the grumpy and laconic Derek we know and love though. The story wasn't very complex but it was enjoyable. Overall, this was a good Sterek. :)

Why are they so mean to each other at first? But turned out to be pretty cute. Stiles learning to use his powers, and using them without being aware of doing so.

Rather liked this fic, decent length and had a great 'I accidently made Derick like me' storyline. Sexy, a big of angst and good rounded out ending.
