He’s Out of This World

Not Written in the Stars

Houston... we have a problem.

Ezra Miller’s life has been turned upside down ever since his best friend hooked up with an alien named Al, and not just because he walked in on them having close encounters of the third kind. In the year since he discovered the truth about extraterrestrial life, Ezra has accidentally become the sole person the Darvrokian race trusts to act as Earth’s intergalactic representative, which is great and all, until he's assigned a Darvrokian coworker plucked out of his worst nightmares.

Titan Leon is everything Ezra hates in a man. He’s arrogant, presumptuous, and worst of all, hot enough to make Ezra forget why he hates him in the first place.

Hot enough that “absolutely not” turns into “only this one time.”

Hot enough that Ezra can overlook the fact that he’s Al’s most disliked brother.

But one time isn’t enough for Titan, and he won’t take no for an answer.

He’ll do whatever it takes to make Ezra his.

And sure, he’s an asshole… but as much as Ezra hates him, he can’t help but see that there’s something softer about him lurking just beneath the surface. Something more than Titan lets anyone else see. And whatever that something is, it has its hooks in Ezra so deeply, he can’t help but fall into bed with him over and over again.

With the same sense of humor and earnestness as Crash-Landed in Love, Not Written in the Stars is a witty contemporary alien romance that explores the ideas of identity, belonging, and choosing your own path in life, while tackling tough questions how much sand is needed to fill a room in your mansion? Is $100 enough to tip your new friend, Uber driver Carlos G? And how many Slim Jims are customary to put into a gift basket?

Please note that while this story takes place on modern-day Earth… life finds a way.

So, so funny yet again! I am slightly obsessed with how the aliens interpret, or misinterpet, things on Earth...

I was absolutely dying at Titan's reaction to viewing the wedding floral displays "plant genitals that were clearly a human warning. 'should anyone dare interfere, these displays of mutilated plant parts promised the interloper's genitals would be next'" 😂😂😂 And when the kids were scattering the petals down the aisle as Al and Human Jude walked over them and all the non-humans were aghast at the display of violence 😂😂😂 Probably the most entertaining wedding I've ever read in all honesty!

I also really enjoy how Al is campaigning for supporters to his vendetta against daylight saving - I would so sign up because I hate it too 😂

As well as the abundant humour, there are also a lot of more emotional moments in the story, and I teared up quite a few times for both Titan and Ezra, although Titan is officially my favourite in the series so far. The abandonment issues and the daddy issues were so relatable! Al and Jude's kids were so blunt when they were confronting the elders and I was so here for it 😂

This was just a really enjoyable, pretty out there story and I really enjoyed being back with these characters. I'm very intrigued to see what happens with Human Corbin though...

God, he was a dick… and god, Ezra needed his dick inside of him right now.

Another super fun alien romance. This series is just light-hearted stories, quirky aliens and lovable humans.
Dislike to love, ‘I can’t stand him, but I want him’, ‘just this once’ to forever.

“You may hate me if you want, Ambassador, but it won’t change the way I feel about you.”

It did lack some feels compared to the first installment, but still an entertaining romance. Definitely looking forward to Corbin’s book. Will he find his mate in California? And will it be Mercy or Luckless?… Or both?

“True Mates or not, Ezra, my heart is yours.”

Not nearly as cute or humorous as the first book (or maybe the charm wore off). There was no tangible plot, and the constant musings/conversations felt stale and recycled.

The whole "Great Slut" thing was idiotic. Having hundreds of spawns you don't take care of is fucked up. Nothing funny about that.

I wasn't feeling the romance between Titan and Ezra. Neither dude had a personality once they got together. Even the sex scenes were repetitive.

Also, Al and Jude's kids are like a year old and act like tweens. I get that Darvrokians are advanced, but give me half a break.

This is a great book series, hilarious and heartwarming.

In book 1 we met

College student earthling Jude meets —oh god, an actual alien— Ξ.A.kr’ξ𝞹’p from Darvrok 6. (This alien race is adorable and hilarious btw)

Jude renames Ξ.A.kr’ξ𝞹’p f , Al as he’s literally incapable of pronouncing the alien name.

In book 2, it’s the love story of Ezra ( human ) and Titan ( Al’s arrogant alien brother )

‘Ezra is human ambassador to the alien species still unknown to ninety-nine percent of the people on Earth. The American government had done their best to oust him from the position, insisting they had far more decorated men who were a better fit for the job, but the Darvrokians were stubborn, and would not allow their minds to be changed. ‘

Ezra thinks Titan is an absolute fuckboi … but God. He had never wanted to ride someone’s dick more in his life.

Ezra has abandonment issues.

Ezra tries to limit it to a one night stand .

Political tensions have Titan working alongside Ambassador Ezra on Earth to aid in positive relations between the two species.

Ezra is horrified . He’s also feeling guilty for sleeping with his friend’s brother.

Titan is also living in the mansion with Ezra, Jude, Al and the kids.

“What am I doing in your room?” Titan arched a brow and bit his lip in the seductive way of the “fuck boy.” “I thought it would be obvious—I am here to mate with you.”

Ezra thinks , maybe one last time to get it out of his system 🤣

Titans thoughts -‘He would breed with this beautiful human, and they would be a family. He would never be alone again.’

They meet Joe … and he has quite the intergalactical reputation. 😅

Ezra ends up pregnant

“…because even the universe knows that I am yours, and you are mine.” Titan held him closer, his arms tightening protectively—possessively—around Ezra ..’

Titan starts off as such an arrogant ass but ends up being this romantic sweetheart.

“There may not be an innate bond between us,” Titan said softly, “but I do not need such a bond to want to stay. True Mates or not, Ezra, my heart is yours.”

Joe is basically a space whore 😂, The Great Slut. Omg 🤣

Titan is the golden child, his parents favourite. His father especially is displeased with the pregnancy news.

“I will have you cease your assignment on Earth and have you resume your responsibilities on our home planet.” Mr. Leon made this declaration casually, but the reaction to it was anything but—everyone stared at him in surprise, even Mrs. Leon.’

Titan is not going to stand for that , he is not leaving Ezra.

“I love you,” he said then, and it came easily, the words so natural on his tongue that he had to wonder why he had ever thought them impossible to say. “And I you,” Titan replied.

okay this was cute!!!
i love this series, but do you want to know the problem? it’s been two years since book 1 and i don’t remember shit. it wouldn’t have been a problem, if the authors had given us some reminders at the beginning.

but other than that, i love these weird aliens so damn much. they hate pretty much everything on earth and i get that tbh. and i genuinely love their fashion taste and culinary adventures.

and i am absolutely feral for an asshole who stops his assholery for love. we need more of it in real life.

now, i have a wish. could we have corbin’s book in a year? many thank yous please

i read an arc and all of that

We all know who the biggest star in this book was, right?
The Great Slut.
He's genuinely one of the more interesting characters and if he didn't already have a 'wife', I'd really want his book.

His kid, Ezra, got a somewhat disappointing love story, though. It did start out fantastic. Funny, great sex, a promising dose of animosity and snarky dialogues, but that all faded out too quickly.

🔵 Alien and human ambassador
🟢 Set on Earth
🟣 Ezra is gay, Titan unclear
🟠 I'm guessing some size difference
🔵 Mpreg
🟡 Who is on the cover? Ezra looks different and Titan definitely looks hotter.
🌶️ Sex is very good in the first few scenes; sex in alien and human form; oral, frotting, penetrative; t/b

As mentioned, the beginning had promise, but what was terribly missing was the buildup. There was supposed to be tension and animosity between Ezra, Jude's best friend who now lives with him, his alien husband Al and their kids, and Titan, Al's hated brother, but it only got a few pages, not nearly enough.

Titan becomes the ambassador for his planet on Earth and now has to work closely with Ezra.

Ezra and Titan barely interact before Ezra starts calling Titan's personality putrid and

"I don’t fuck with jerks, man, and you’re as bad as they come."

Ezra's animosity felt completely unearned. Titan didn't really do anything other than just state he's good at everything and so little of those dialogues were on-page, that it was ridiculous why Ezra would have a bad opinion of Titan that soon, after so little interaction. I'd need about 50 pages more of their dialogues for him to justifyingly say all that.

Ezra also gets pregnant much too soon. Much, much too soon. He gets pregnant and softens Titan down in the first half already, so the second half was all about the clutch, the families of both and other side characters. Titan got lost in the story. I understand he had some growing to do, but still as interesting as he was in the beginning, he was just mush by the end of it all.

The authors leaned really hard into the alien-human cultural gap, which was entertaining at first, but by the hundredth joke about English phrases or species differences, it got old.

The Great Slut was Ezra's alien dad. Ezra finds out his dad didn't actually leave him when he was a kid, but has been imprisoned for having an affair with his mother, but has also been hopping planets and... other species

"So instead of attempting a reply, he took a deep breath and asked, “Is my dad really an intergalactic slut?”
Titan laughed, his breath blowing the hairs on the back of Ezra’s neck. “He has… a reputation,” he said, stroking Ezra’s arm.
“I guess that means I have a bunch of half-siblings out there in the universe somewhere, huh? Good to know the dad I always wished I knew is actually a space whore.”"

I mean, it's funny. The dad and his Vanilla Ice talk isn't that funny and a bigger role could be awarded to him in all this circus, but he's still a very nice addition to the story.

“And before any more un-dope thoughts find their way into your brainmeat,” said Joe, “I love all of my offspring, and there are many of them.”
“So I’ve heard,” Ezra muttered with a chuckle.
“I mean, there are so many.”
“Yeah, I know.”
“Like, think of how many you think is a lot, and then double it. I have a lot—”
“Yep, you’re a slut, I get it, message received!” Ezra said, throwing his hands up.

😄😄👍

I didn't particularly like how Ezra was addressing Titan. I get when they're not that familiar with each other yet, but when they got together or even when Ezra was pregnant, talking to your guy like he's just some buddy? No shift, no intimacy. Still calling him “man” all the time like he was just some guy on the street.

"That’s like, such a dick move, man."

"Keep it in your pants, man."

"But man, your personality is a total dumpster fire."

This was how Ezra talked to Titan all the time. It's how he was talking to everyone around him, but Titan? Really?

And again, Titan’s personality wasn’t a dumpster fire at all. He was great. He was a true leader, majestic. Why wasn't that used more? He's a big player on their planet!

It would’ve been so much better if Titan had stayed that way, just a strong, confident, competent guy with some edge. Let that tension simmer and let him and Ezra clash for a while longer. Let them fuck it out more. And let Ezra get pregnant in the last third of the book, and have that be the start of a genuine softening between them.

So no, I didn't like the book that much. It was pretty disappointing. I definitely did expect more.

Corbin is next and he's paired up with Mercy, Titan's hot, buffed up older brother, but I just know he's going to be silly-stupid throughout the whole story and then Mercy will bring in some Daddy vibes and they'll just end up having the same type of story Titan and Al had.

⭐️ 4.5 stars rounded up! ⭐️

The long awaited second installment in this series of humans and aliens finding love was overall a fun, interesting installment.

This second installment focuses on Ezra, Jude's best friend from book one, and Titan, Al's brother who is looked at as perfect and amazing and wonderful and can do no wrong.

As a result of that, Titan is a bit...arrogant and smug at first, but he's also kind of oblivious to why Ezra dislikes him at first, as he feels there's nothing wrong with how he is, as no one has ever told him before that his attitude sucks.

Ezra, for his part though, is mightily attracted to Titan, but he's been burned before by boyfriends and such in the past, so he's determined to just have a fling with Titan, especially when he can't stand him at first, and his opinion is also definitely colored by Al's anger and upset at Titan as well.

Which is deserved, to be sure, Titan didn't act the best - but there's more to him than meets the eye. There's more to him than what his parents, especially his father, wanted from him, made him into, expected of him.

When Ezra, of course, ends up pregnant soon after one of their first times together, everything changes, as they're not expecting children.

But also, even before that is known, Titan is determined to prove to Ezra that he can change, that he can be a wonderful partner to him and treat him wonderfully, and never leave him.

Truly, under the arrogance he's been made to have and bit of pompousness, Titan is actually quite sweet and wonderful. His true self under all the expectations heaped on him in a good guy who loves Ezra so much and wants to give him the world.

I liked the differences in this story than the first one. Titan and Ezra had a different dynamic in this one than Al and Jude had, and obviously since aliens are known now to several humans, we're living in a world where they're somewhat known and some are now coming frequently to earth on visas to explore Earth.

Ezra is now the "Ambassador" for the humans, but also Titan is sent to Earth to also be an Ambassador for the Darvorkians, alongside Ezra to help relations between the two planets. Because of that they're able to live together in Al and Jude's big mansion and start to really fall for each other. Ezra is resistant to more at first, but Titan is sure Ezra is the one for him pretty early on, and can't stop thinking about and wants only him, so he's only too happy to come back to Earth and work with Ezra.

I enjoyed this, and had a fun time reading this. I like this world these authors have created, and the aliens being so baffled by humans and all that we are and do was hilarious throughout this. I chuckled several times reading this, especially when they titled a Darvorkian the "Great Slut" because he got around with so many creatures in the galaxy and they used that as a title for him. Simply hilarious.

So I definitely recommend this delightful tale, it was so fun and sweet and funny.

I'm definitely excited for Corbin's (and it seems, Mercy, Titan and Al's oldest brother?) story next, that's sure to be a fun one.

Until then! 😍

I freaking love this series. Ezra and Titan totally stole my heart. I did go in with reservations when it came to Titan. He hasn't exactly been the best brother to Al and how anyone can be mean to such a sweetheart was beyond my comprehension. Titan was one of the big reasons that Al struggled with his self-esteem along with their parents. However, to be fair to Titan, his parents were the major reason for him being the way he is as well.

It was fun seeing Ezra argue with himself again and again when it came to Titan. He'd completely convince himself he was going to stay away, then would inevitably end up sleeping with Titan again. There was just so much chemistry between them and the little moments when the true Titan would shine through his cocky personality kept Ezra coming back for more.

"𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚜 𝚒𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚎𝚗𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚊𝚢 𝚒𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎 - 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚎 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸 𝚊𝚖 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚎."

Titan had a good amount of character growth throughout the story. With Ezra by his side giving his support, you could tell Titan was putting in the work to try and be a better man. It's hard to change when you've been groomed your entire life to be who you are, but Titan did it. He even made progress with Al which I was extremely happy about since I adore him. I'm glad that Ezra and Titan figured themselves out by the end and I am excited for the next book in this hilarious series!

Holy smokes, what a treat! When I started the audio version of Not Written in the Stars I had no idea it was the second book in the He's Out of This World series lol. It soon became obvious I was missing something, but Piper Scott and Renee Fox did an excellent job of explaining it all and I never felt lost. You can believe I'm going to buy Crash-Landed in Love immediately so I can get caught up. This one does work as a standalone.

The characters are so original and charming, the dialogue is witty and laugh out loud funny, and the wacky cast kept me entertained. What a great idea for a new alien/human world!

The audio version of Not Written in the Stars is beautifully performed by Michael Ferraiuolo. I love how he uses sound effects to vocalize the alien language - wonderful!

This book is about Al's big (hated) brother Titan, and Jude's BFF Ezra.
Still LOL'd a whole lot while reading, but also enjoyed watching Titan transform from pompous asshole to alien in love to figuring out that he's not the end-all-be-all he believed he is, after all. Seeing him stand up to his toxic father - YAAAASSSSS!!

Not Written in the Stars is the second book in the He's Out of This World series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is the story of Ezra.a human and Titan an alien. The blurb gives you the basics of the story. This book was funny and also made me cry a few times. I love this series so much. I love the writing style and the characters. I can't wait for more books in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Unplanned pregnancy in men is a new favorite thing. But even with that, it's the dialogue that really made this for me.

So that screenshot from The Mindy Project where she tells Danny, 'My body is very attracted to your body but when you speak my brain gets angry.'?

Pretty much the dynamic between Ezra and Titan. Made Ezra falling for Titan THAT much funnier.

"This thing.....you have much of it."
"Are you calling me HAIRY?!"
"I am calling you beautiful."

To be clear, I got the attraction. Titan says the STRANGEST things that then turn out to be kinda sweet?

I get it, Ezra. He's annoying and full of himself (what else would he be full of, right?) but he's very hot. And absurdly sweet. In that deadpan way.

"I want you."
"I know."
🙄
"But you need not worry. I will give myself to you."
😒Dammit, Titan.

"I genuinely can not stand you." but you just let him cum buckets inside you.
"This was one time only."
"That will not be the case, Ambassador Ezra. Wait and you will see."
😂😂😂😂A certified menace.

"I thought humans found it customary to have unconsciousness together, after engaging in sexual congress."
"Nah, man. That's only if you like the person. I don't like you remember? Now seriously. Get up. I don't want anyone to know you were here."
💀
Wooooooow, Ambassador Ezra.
"I don't fuck with you."
"But you did fuck with me."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nah. Titan is my MVP.

"I have come to your room so that fucking may occur."
—Titan. Having been ignored in every way possible to ignore a person.

"How about we NOT talk about my masturbatory habits at 7 o'clock in the morning."
"When would be a reasonable time to talk about them?"

Honestly, Ezra should mate with Titan purely for comedic relief.

He lives in constant fear that this guy will mention randomly to others that "Ambassador Ezra finds me to have superior mating abilities." and then the whole world would know that he's an ALIEN FUCKER and honestly that's so real because what a valid concern.

😂😂😂😂😂
There's just no good way for people to find this out.

'The possibilities were endless and the horrors eternal.'

💀I'm so glad Ezra worries about this because you never read about people be worried about others discovering their deviant sexual urges.

People might have done the most but fucking an alien?! We literally just made first contact. We don't even know these aliens like that, how are you already getting creampied by them?

Yep. Premium Pervert. You could NOT convince people otherwise.

Forever be Ezra the Alien Fucker™

"Just pee on it and if two lines appear, you're either pregnant or have testicular cancer."

💀 And I KNOW cancer is not funny but the cackle I let out when the thing had two lines and Jude said helpfully, "Maybe it's cancer?"

I just love Titan's over-inflated sense of self importance because he simply can NOT compute that Ezra isn't into him. He's the best of the best. So why on earth would Ezra not be into him?

His ways of trying to woo Ezra had me cheesing.

"Humans appreciate receiving flowers even though pulling them out of the ground results in their death. I killed these flowers for you."

Yeah. Hard to see why the wooing is not going as planned.

"You are very wise and beautiful, Ezra. I admire these things about you."

And Ezra just going "Yeahhh.....Okay, man."

Pregnant for this man and you're being nonchalant.

"Why do I keep hooking up with this guy who makes me homicidal just by speaking?"

A great example of something to ponder BEFORE pregnancy.

I swear Titan is annoying and determined enough to have manifested this bond into existence because Ezra could NOT understand why they kept ending up in bed together.

"He is with egg."

Without a doubt the funniest thing I've ever read, in a book full of many of the funniest things I've ever read.

Titan is so sweet during the pregnancy but also such an enabler. Wdym yes those pants of yours that no longer fit deserve to be fed to a shredder and are there any other clothes of yours you'd like to meet a similar fate? Also, what is a shredder and where can I acquire one?

Top tier Intergalactic Baby Daddy🥰

That pregnancy was simultaneously the worst thing to happen to Ezra and the best to happen to Titan. Bet man was like yassssss now I can woo you without you trying to leave me.

I swear, to read all these quotes, you'd absolutely not believe that Titan is the emotionally mature one, the emotionally vulnerable one, the romantic AF one.

"Ezra is the best human on earth."

And he really believes that. This, coming from a man who has only superlative thoughts about himself. Took one look at Ezra and decided only he would do. What more can you ask for in an MC?

Re: The Great Slut storyline - I am speechless 😂

One complaint-

"I don't give a fuck about money, man" - a man that got pregnant ONCE and had THREE SETS of TWINS.

Baby, you should give a fuck about money.

Actually, going forward, Titan should only be allowed to approach Ezra while wearing a full bodysuit condom.

Honestly had THE best time listening to this. Great work as always by Michael Ferraiuolo.

Also, brb off to get seasons 3 and 4 of Resident Alien. This reminded me of how much I loved Harry.

I need to know if book 1 was this good. I'm worried it may not live up to the hype this one has created for me but the FOMO will not let me rest.

3.5⭐️ Story
5⭐ Narration

*I received an ALC of this book, all opinions are my own*

This was a really fun audiobook that came at the perfect time because I have been in a bit of a slump recently and needed something that was low angst, a bit silly, and it had been ages since I'd read an alien/human romance!

I personally haven't read book 1 (I will do now!) and I did not have any problems keeping up with the plot or overall world-building of this book.

I also love when the Alien MCs take every single thing the humans say in English completely literally and at face value. The humor in this book really hit the spot.

For me, the focus on their relationship was totally lost in the second half of the book, as things really shifted to being about all the side characters, and it felt like their HEA was quite rushed in order to fit in the mpreg/clutch parts of the story.

But overall, the world-building was really fun, and Michael Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job narrating the huge cast of characters!

Just as funny and entertaining as the first, and a good lesson in not judging a book by its cover. Titan looks and acts like a smug arsehole, but deep down he’s kind and loving. He has to unlearn what he’s been taught in order to find out who he really is, and he has set his sights on Ezra and won’t give up.

I love Ezra just as much in this book as I did in the first; he’s lush.

Great book. Laugh-out-loud funny. Unique and an interesting read.

I liked this book a lot more than book 1. The enemies-to-lovers trope was handled great here and I loved the push-pull of being physically attracted to each other but also finding each other so annoying. There was a playfulness in this book that had me chuckling. Liked it a lot.

Titan is as smug as they come and Ezra hates him and wants nothing to do with him. When Ezra gives in to Titan he expects it to be one and done but Titan is persistent and won’t give in until Ezra says yes. I am hoping the next book will be Corbin’s book after listening to the ending of this book.

2/5 … overall, it wasn’t better than the first book, but this one did manage to get a tiny bit emotional near the end, which can often inspire me to bump up my rating. In this case though, that bump was marginal, because, all-in-all, it felt like a lot of the same when compared to the first book. Also, honestly, given how Ezra was portrayed in the first book, it felt like his original portrayal was quickly (conveniently?) morphed into a very different character. I guess both of the MCs’ voices didn’t quite match up with or live up to what you might expect based on the first book.

He’s Out of This World, Book 2
By: Piper Scott, Renee Fox
Narrated by: Michael Ferraiuolo

Piper Scott and Renee Fox went and did it again, penning another amazing novel set in their “He’s Out of this World” series and, like the first book, it is absolutely brilliant. This book picks up soon after the first book, “Crash-Landed in Love”, Jude and Al’s story ended, and is Ezra and Titan’s story. Ezra was Jude’s roommate in the first book, and Titan is Al’s brother. To get the most out of the incredible world building and character development, I recommend starting with the first book. Titan caught Ezra’s eye the moment he saw him, admiring his human form and smoking-hot body, but then he opened his mouth, coming off like a full-of-himself jerk. Though that did not stop them from having a steamy one-night stand, a one and done. When Titan gets a new job assignment on earth, he gets to work side by side with Ezra and wants to pick up where they left off. There was an undeniable chemistry between them, and they could only deny each other for so long. It was great watching these two together and seeing their relationship turn into something more, despite of the surrounding complexities, his brother and being co-workers. The banter, witty dialogue and play on words lost in translation was hilarious. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, only a touch of angst, charming humor, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. I also loved how much Titan grew into his own by the end, also loved the twist with Ezra’s father. This story hooked me right in, had me cracking up and tugging at my heartstrings too. Thanks for another wonderfully entertaining story and the out of this world ride!

🎧📚🎧 Michael Ferraiuolo continues to deliver an outstanding performance with character voices that are amazing and a perfect portrayal of each. I love how he takes each role and owns it, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. As Titan, he was a natural in the role, flawlessly embodying the character’s suave arrogance, quirky lines, and distinctive personality traits. His Ezra was just as fabulous, grasping every aspect of his personality, including his fierceness, and did the same for the side and secondary characters too. His pacing and tone were just right for the story and he conveyed all the characters’ emotions into his performance, having you feel them all. Ferraiuolo is an entertaining storyteller and his captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.

Ezra and Titan's romance was so much more than a quirky alien love story. Their journey may have started as a hot as heck fling, but oh how the two of them grew over the course of the book. Titan was almost insufferably cocky when he first landed on Earth, demanding respect for his greatness and not at all understanding the way his arrogance pushed people away. It was no surprise that Ezra bemoaned the fact that he found him attractive, but there was no substance that could lead to an actual relationship. It was only after experiencing rejection that Titan started to reflect on the way he treated others and seek out advice on how to better himself, and I was really pleased to see him make a genuine effort to woo Ezra. Ezra had deep fears of abandonment from both his father's absence in his life and a string of ex-lovers who never chose to stay with him, so to say he was a commitment-phobe feels like an understatement. When a whoopsie pregnancy forced Ezra and Titan to couple up and support each other, I was cautiously optimistic that they would give each other what they needed to grow their feelings into a love connection. Titan blew me away with his earnest effort to change, and it was impossible for Ezra to go on hating him when he was doing so much to show that he wasn't the jerk older brother that Al despised being around. As the two of them stood by each other through goofy alien shenanigans, familial tension, and more than one surprise reveal, I believed in the love building between them. Whether or not they were True Mates wasn't important when both Ezra and Titan actively chose to be with each other every day, and their compatibility was out-of-this-world good. By the end of their journey, not only had Ezra and Titan professed their unwavering love for each other, they'd grown into the best versions of themselves, resolved their interpersonal conflicts, and taken the brave first steps into the world of fatherhood. I couldn't be happier with the conclusion of their book, and I'm thrilled to see that this series is continuing with another of Al and Titan's siblings!

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted the audio version of this book.

This is book 2 in the He's Out of This World series. I have not read/listened to book 1 and while I don't think it is strictly necessary to have done, I am left with a few questions about Jude and Al's story which means I want to go back to that one!

Titan is Al's clutch mate and is destined for great things. Ezra is Jude's best friend. While Titan and Ezra have super hot chemistry, Titan is a big headed, arrogant being who looks down on most. But he wants Ezra as his mate, and Titan never backed down from any challenge.

I loved this, absolutely and completely!

The level of emotions that both Titan and Ezra have, is deep and complex but I loved that they really did manage to talk about things, rather than gloss over them. Titan especially. At the beginning, he is about as emotional as a wet fish, but he learns, changes and grows and I loved that!

What I particularly loved about this, was even though Titan wants a bond with Ezra, he will take him any way he can and he makes sure Ezra knows that, and eventually, Ezra does believe that Titan CHOOSES him, for him.

Michael Ferraiuolo narrates and I honestly believe, I might not have enjoyed this quite so much if I had read it, and that is entirely down to the narration.

His voices for Ezra and Titan are very different, and clearly defined. Titan's especially, becuase of him not being of Earth. His language is proper and correct, and there are no shortening of words. Indeed, there are a good deal of words taken out of context and mixed up, but it leads to some hilarious moments.

Ferraiuolo gets over all of Ezra and Titan's emotions and feelings and reactions to some very life changes things here!

And the kids?? Oh thoses kids get upto some stuff and it lead to some very laugh out loud moments while I was on the train and got some funny looks! But it's the delivery, the narration that really made those moments.

Thank you, to the authors for writing this book but thank YOU Mr Ferraiuolo for making this book what it is.

4 stars for the book
5 stars for the narration

📝 Review & thoughts:
This book is funny, cute and sweet. These aliens are just so quirky and funny. I don’t know how many times I found myself snorting or laughing at something.

It’s definitely a lighthearted feel-good story. While I loved this second installment, I remember loving the first one more. Although I appreciated that the plot lines were different from book one, making the two stories distinct with their own traits.

Read for: funny, fluffy, cute, sweet and quirky vibes, with some hot smut and a generally feel-good story. Totally recommend!

💬 Quotes (possible spoilers):

Barely awake, he reiterated, “One-time thing.” “This will not be the case, Ambassador Ezra,” he heard Titan mumble from beside him, almost more to himself than to Ezra. “Wait and you will see.”

The audience shuffled to their feet as music began to play. Titan did not recognize the melody, but he had heard his parents mention that it was performed by beetles, which made the arrangement much more impressive.

“Thank you, Ruth the Elder,” he said anyway, to be polite. “I assure you, I will remember all you have said and continue to live life exceptionally.” Ruth the Elder nodded solemnly. “Yas, king. Slay.”

“Your fairy-moans are really quite pungent.”

“This does not matter. When I see you, I do not see you as a finite moment. I see you for you.”

* Fyi about 🌶️ levels: I rate spice on a combination of quantity, quality, length, intensity and explicitness of the scenes. K!nks are listed separately and generally do not directly affect the steam level to keep it fair for non k!nky books.

I loved the first book in this series, Crash-Landed in Love, when I first read it- and even more when I listened to Michael Ferraiuolo's superb narration, so I was very excited to get Ezra's story- even if he was paired with Al's brother, Titan. lol

Great world building and wonderful characters. The story was amusing from the start at Jude and Al's pre-wedding rehearsal dinner with the aliens in completely mismatched human clothing and odd food/drink combinations. I was hooked from the very first page with the quirky characters.

Like Al from the first book, Titan took words literally- sayings and expressions going completely over his head- and was probably one of the most confident/arrogant/sure-of-himself characters I've ever come across. Confident enough it's arrogance even when he's not purposefully arrogant. For example, Ezra corrected him when he used the wrong word, and Titan claimed the word he'd used was right because he was good with words- apparently knowing better than a native speaker. I could completely understand Ezra's frustration with him.

I found him very annoying and kept chanting no at Ezra not to give in just because he thought he was hot lol The chemistry between them was sizzling, and Ezra's 'absolutely not' faded into 'just this once,' and then...

I really liked Titan's character growth over the course of this book. I couldn't wait to see how their relationship developed and what would happen. I loved all the supporting characters. The humor, the "lost in translation," the shenanigans. This book can be enjoyed without book one, but I definitely recommend both!

Of course I had to get my hands on the audiobook this time, too! Michael Ferraiuolo was fantastic bringing all these characters to life. They all had different and distinctive voices. Titan's calm, suave, arrogant-confidence was voiced so well and perfectly. I love the emotions he put into everyone.

I absolutely cannot wait for Corbin's story and to meet Mercy and Luckless (who I found utterly adorable). I'm so excited to see what happens there!

The authors have been blessed by some God because they landed the amazing Michael Ferraiuolo as the narrator for this book. I'm going to be completely honest and let you know that I only read/listened to this book because I received an ALC. Had I just been reading this on my own or gotten a traditional ARC I would have added it to my DNF pile halfway through chapter two.

Luckily for all Michael Ferraiuolo does such an amazing job making this ridiculous book entertaining that I pushed through and by the halfway mark I was actually enjoying myself quite a bit. Turns out, once I started listening to the book for what it is and not what it could be, I really enjoyed myself.

This book is the definition of "I said I liked it, I didn't say it was good." It is absolutely off the walls crazy. There are dorky aliens, cats holding great positions of power, mpreg and some seriously cringy and questionable slang used. In the best way possible. This story is okay with making fun of itself. Which makes it easy to get into and laugh at all the hilariously over the top jokes.

I usually don't like mpreg. Mostly because it is usually done as regular human men just being able to get pregnant with no explanation as to why. I don't mind it at all in Omegaverse situations where the author more or else explains a biological difference from regular humans to justify it as fact within the story. But this one I absolutely loved! It makes a lot more sense that an alien species would be able to make mpreg work. It was fantastic for the storyline and everything fit together so well.

I actually do highly recommend this audiobook but the audiobook alone. I don't think anyone would get the same level of enjoyment if they read it on ebook or paperback only.

Narrator Performance 10/5 ⭐
Overall 4/5 ⭐

Humor in the form of a Darvrokyan (an audio review)

I adore Piper Scott and this new series she’s writing with Renee Fox is a hoot. Instead of dragon shifters, I’ve got aliens who come from outer space, who land in the south western US, and who try to integrate seamlessly into society. Given the quirkiness of many Americans, these aliens fit right in.

First to arrive was Al. He fell in love with Jude and, as fated mates, they were able to conceive a clutch of baby aliens. Uh…okay. Ezra, Jude’s friend, witnessed some of the birth and knows no one’s every making him pregnant with eggs that eventually hatch into lizards that can take on human form. Uh…hard no.

When Ezra meets Titan, Al’s older brother, he’s struck by the man’s beauty and his conceitedness. The guy’s ego can barely fit in the room. They have a one-night-stand and that’s supposed to be the end of it. But fate intervenes and the men are soon working together and living in the same compound. They can’t avoid each other – and don’t…at least in the bedroom.

You can guess what happens next. As Ezra discovers thing about himself that he’d rather not know, Titan begins to re-examine how he’s been living his life – the expectations heaped upon him, the desire not to disappoint his parents, and how he can love the least appropriate person in the solar system and beyond.

This is just a fun romp with lots of quirky humor, alien children with wicked senses of humor, and the notion of how love can flourish even when it shouldn’t. I loved Titan and Ezra’s love story. Just loved it.

I also love Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration. He does such a great job with this whacky cast of characters. He is so talented and this is him at his finest. Well worth the listen and can’t wait for the next one.
