Have you ever wished two men fought each other over your affections? Now, it gets a little better, depending. One of those men is a rock star. Fame and fortune, right? The other is a sweet, sexy and funny math teacher.
Okay. Let's stop right there. How much of a win do you think this is?
I don't know about you, but I'm rooting for the 'underdog' so to speak. Not that Dave is an underdog, mind you.
Let's back up for a second. and talk about the next STUD book from Kylie Gilmore.
We've got the heroine, Steph, who is in a relationship with Dave. There's one little...no we can't even say little- problem and it's in the form of a rock star named Griff.
Without giving any more away, this book is a hilarious series of encounters gone wrong to the extreme. It might make you think twice of ever wishing you were being fought over. I loved this next installment of the Studs. I was stoked when two of my favorite previous characters, Amber and Barry made several appearances in this story.
Kylie Gilmore delivers another hilariously sexy romp, but she brings out the emotions as well. There are characters to love, and characters who get on your nerves *Cough Griff cough* (Though I do admit, up to a certain point, I kinda felt bad for him)
Readers are in for a treat with this new series by Ms. Gilmore. It was a pleasure to be able to read the STUDS. Need a laugh? Need a feel good read that delivers on the emotions? Stud Unleashed has you covered, whether it be Dave, Barry or Will.
HOT. That is one adjective I would use to describe this and every book in the Clover Park series so far. In the STUDS series, the guys start off as mild-mannered citizens, then transform into nearly polar opposites of how they began. Trust me, you don't want to get between these guys and their women, or look out! (Don't worry; they still retain some of their non-stud qualities too!)
Like 1970s TV detective Lieutenant Columbo and his rumpled appearance, Dave the Math Teacher is more than he seems. I enjoyed reading his relentless quest to win Steph's heart, even when rivaling her rock star suitor.
Although I found it hard to hate the villain in this book (not necessarily a bad thing), it was a very low-stress conflict and an awesome resolution. (I would LOVE to read Griff's story, Kylie!)
As always, Kylie's books are an absolute pleasure to read; the characters are realistic, the situations plausible, and she throws in just enough humor to make the story believable. Also, she routinely brings back previous characters and introduces those from the next book, which creates a nice transition through the series.
I can't wait to read more!!!!!

I give Almost Marries by Kylie Gilmore five stars. This is book two of the Clover Park STUDS series and it is a must read. This book can be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading them in order because the previous characters show up in each book. If you like romantic comedy books you will LOVE Kylie's writing style. She will have you laughing out loud and she will make you fall in love with each characters. She had me hooked on her books after reading the first one.
Stephanie Moore has finally found a sweet and sexy man to call her boy friend but there is one major problem she is already married. Stephaine really believes this new man is husband material so she decides to ask for a divorce from her estranged husband who is a rock star. The kicker is she hasn't seen him in five years until he shows up asking for a second chance.
Dave Olsen, a Math teacher at the local school, has finally found the woman of his dream and he is totally in love with her. He has already started to look for diamond rings and then he found our her shocking news. Dave wonders if he can really compete with the Rock Star Griffin Huntley. Griffin is pulling out all the stops to win his woman back but Dave refuse to give up. Which one of these men are going to win the heart of this amazing woman? You will have to read it to find out!
Kylie Gilmore's knack for creative, interesting and fun plots is evident in this enticing novel of brains vs. brawn!
Stephanie Moore is in love with her eye glass wearing, mathematically minded, joke telling boyfriend Dave. She knows their relationship is getting serious so she can't wait any longer to tell Dave about Griffin, her husband. She hasn't seen the man in 5 years but every attempt to get him to sign the divorce papers has resulted in silence. Now it's time to get serious.
Math teacher Dave Olsen is so in love with his girlfriend he is researching diamond rings. They are both teachers, love spending time together and want to raise a family in small town Clover Park. With so much in common what could go wrong? But finding out Steph's secret and meeting her very famous rock star husband has him puffing up his chest and ready to battle to keep the woman he loves.
But it seems rocker Griffin Huntley has other ideas. Knowing someone else is interested in his wife has him rethinking his decision to leave her. And when he meets the mild mannered mathlete all he can think is, GAME ON!
How can a math professor win over a rock star? Well, when this all husband material, Clark Kent look alike, shows he can fight fiercifully for the love of his life, it is possible. Steph is already elated by Dave after 6 weeks of dating, even though she wishes he was more daring on the sexual advances. Dave on the other side, being burnt by past girlfriends who have used him as a rebound, wants to be sure Steph is the one before taking things further. When she tells him she is married but haven´t seen her husband for 5 years, it seems the end for their relationship. More so, when said husband is now a famous rock star with a legion of female fans running after him. Will Steph hesitate when Griffin wants to get back together with her saying she still is his muse? As all Kylie Gilmore characters, their have their own history and personalities and finding their true love isn´t a walk in the park... Nevetheles, it´s exactly why her books are so magnetic and we can´t put it down. It´s an easy and fun read and a garanteed nice time!! ;)
Kylie Gilmore always gives you a great storyline to go with the romance, and it usually ends up keeping me up all night. Almost Married was no exception, take two teachers, a hot rock star husband, put them in a pot and stir, and you get a steamy romance with a crazy twist that only Kylie can work out. You will laugh as the crazy gets out of hand, and will want to shout at Steph, the heroine, to grow a pair, as she lets the rock star, her husband Griff, push to stay married after five years of ignoring their marriage. Dave will have you panting as he stakes his claim, and his sister Christina will have you scratching your head as she pushes Griff around. All in all a very entertaining story you won't be able to put down. A definite five star read!
Almost Married by Kylie Gilmore was a great story. It was fun and enjoyable. This was a romance with a touch of drama and some fun twists with a secret or two. The characters are interesting there is Stephanie her boyfriend Dave the sexy math teacher, the famous rock star husband Griffin and Christina Dave’s interesting sister. Dave has been in love with Steph for a while and is ready for the next step, but there’s just a bit of a problem she is still married. Thats just the start of an intriguing story. I enjoyed this book and the interaction between all the characters. There are a few ups and downs that keep you hooked from the beginning to the end. I recommend this very enjoyable story.
Stephanie Moore finally meets a geeky nice family oriented teacher, Dave Olsen. She has a secret that she is married and abandoned for 5 years to the well known rock star Griffin Huntley. Stephanie seeks a divorce from Griffin and it's game on of macho between Dave and Griffin. You will enjoy reading all the one upmanship they go through to convince Stephanie to pick them and Stephanie to convince Griffin to give her a divorce so she can remarry Dave. I received this book for free for a honest review.
What a great story about 2 people who are dating, Dave is a math genius, Stephanie is also a teacher, they hit it off and started dating but have yet to take it to the next level, she's dying to go there, yet he's forever the gentleman! She's got a secret she needs to tell him, will he stay with her or let her go? Follow their story in this amazing book, their banter is funny, you'll love Dave!! 5 stars for this one, looking forward to the next book in this series!
This is a complicated and very steamy romance. Stephanie is in love with Dave but she is married to Griff, who she hasn't seen in five years. When she asks Griff for a divorce he doesn't want to agree. Dave and Griff get into some full on male posturing which is fun to watch but not for Stephanie. This story does have a HEA.
I really like this series but this book almost felt a little rushed. Pretty good read overall, but too many leaps with little fleshing out of the story. It was like the story was just hitting the highlights. Only really talking out a few of the times. Like I said though, pretty good read overall.
Loved this book! Stephanie is trying to move on with her life and trying to get a divorce and her husband decides he wants her back. Dave is such a sweet guy and very possessive of Stephanie. This book had some drama and the guys antics were funny.
One woman with two very different men fighting for her attention. Will the rockstar or underdog maths teacher win out in the end?
With Almost Married I was slightly torn having loved Almost in Love. I experienced moments of loving the book but then at times got frustrated with it in some parts, especially with the female character Stephanie. However, overall, I did enjoy reading it and would recommend the book. Almost Married focuses on having to question what is truly important with two men fighting over one woman, one her famous rockstar ex-husband, Griffin, whom she never divorced, and the other her new love, Dave, that may have an unknown dominating side to him other than the sweet maths teacher she thought he was.
Adding in Griffin’s POV alongside Steph’s and Dave’s added another dimension to this story and I will admit, one scene towards the end of the book really pulled on my heartstrings for Griffin with his pain. Griffin is one of those kind of love/hate characters where he has moments of sweetness and honesty, especially in regards to Joey (Steph’s brother, and other moments where you just want to slap him. You know when you feel that way an author is really doing a great job with connecting readers and characters.
As always, the book is well written, with a witty style of writing that I just love and can be read as standalone (I would say read them in order to avoid potential spoilers from pervious books), with no cliffhanger and a happily ever after (HEA). It is written from dual points of view, allowing the reader to see developed, complex characters. There are plenty of sweet and steamy scenes and some surprising twists and turns that will completely draw you in as a reader. The epilogue gives the story a well rounded finish to complete the HEA for the books main characters.
I recommend this book and series to any contemporary romance or small town romance fans.
*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
Game on, indeed! HOT. That is one adjective I would use to describe this and every book in the Clover Park series so far. Stephanie Moore has been waiting for Dave to take their relationship into the bedroom and has had enough. Just when she is ready to take things into her own hands (literally) and move their relationship to the next level, her estranged husband comes back onto the scene. Dave has been burned by a couple of women in the past, including one who was married, so he quickly backs off when he finds out that Stephanie has neglected to mention that she is married.
After years of basically pretending Stephanie doesn’t exist and fooling around with too many women to count, Griffin suddenly wants Stephanie back when he finds out that he is about to lose her permanently. Ugh, Griffin was so immature, it was ridiculous. Stephanie loves Dave, so she needs to do something to make sure she doesn’t lose him. When
Stephanie convinces Dave that her divorce is just a matter of technicality and will be taken care of quickly, she and Dave start planning for their future together. But Griffin is not about to fade into the sunset quietly and throws one wrench after another into the mix. Things are not looking good for Stephanie and Dave. If Stephanie can grow a backbone and see beyond Griffin’s machinations, she and Dave may just find their happy. 5 stars.
Stephanie believes she found the man of her dreams, Dave, and is ready to talk marriage with him. She only needs to tell him she is married and find out why her husband has not signed the divorce papers yet. Griffin, her husband rock star, has not spoken or seen Stephanie in years, but has enjoyed his rock star lifestyle of too much alcohol, parties, and women. He is also not ready to divorce Stephanie and shows up wanting a second chance after she continually contacts his manager. Dave wants forever with Stephanie and is ready to fight for her. Stephanie compounds the conflict between the three because she cannot stand any conflict.
Dave is beyond sweet and is ready to Stephanie she deserves someone who will treat her right. The only question is how long can he go up against the rock star husband before it is too much. Stephanie wants everyone to get along. She does love Dave, but avoids conflict enough to cause more. Griffin realizes how much he misses Stephanie and believes her to be his muse. Hot Studs all around in this steamy love triangle. Math-lete Dave verses rock star Griffin.
Dave & Steph have been in a relationship & its getting serious. When they begin to discuss marriage, Steph has to tell him she is already married but her ex, Griffin, hasn't signed the divorce papers yet. Dave isn't sure how he feels about this since she wasn't honest with him. Steph is contacting Griffin's manager constantly, trying to get him to sign the papers. Even though Griffin has been enjoying the rock star live, he thinks he wants to give the marriage a second chance. Steph hates conflict & does everything she can to avoid it, even if it ends up hurting Dave. Will Dave keep giving her chances? Will Griffin give in?
Kylie takes ordinary situations & makes them out of the ordinary. A nice couple falls in love & wants to get married. Ok. How can we make this more difficult? She has a way of engaging your emotions with every story & pulls you into the plot. Really enjoyed this book & the twists it took.
A sweet story of Stephanie and Dave. Their relationship is threatened by a blast from Stephanie's past. Rock Star Griffin, who decides he wants to win Stephanie back. She is his muse, after all. Dave is a middle school Math teacher, a bit of a geek but sexy as hell. Griffin is a Rock Star. How can Dave compete? I laughed my way through the story as Dave steps out of his comfort zone to keep Stephanie's heart and claim her as his. I also cried a bit as some insecurities arise. Kylie does a great job of drawing out emotion. I was immersed into the story from the start. To me, this is a sign of a great read. Kylie's STUD series is a MUST READ! The best part is, although these books stand alone, they are intertwined as characters from the series appear in each book. I am now starting the next book: Stud Unleashed: WILL.
Dave and Steph are so ready to talk marriage, only one small problem, she is still technically married. Enter the absent for 5 years husband/mega rock star Griffin. A mathlete vs. a rock star?
Dave and Steph are so good together you can't help but root for them and kinda hate Griffin at the same time you feel a little sorry for him. Loved Dave's Sister she so makes me want to be more bad ass. I was so into this story that I completely spaced on my house work all day yesterday. ( have to make up with the hubby now) This was a fun battle to read about and so loved how it all works in the end. Looking forward to more Clover Park Studs to come.
Very hot and steamy book! Dave and Steph are both teachers dating for awhile now and the book starts off with them admitting they love each other, which is unusual for a romance novel, but I loved it! The problems arise when Dave proposes and Steph can't marry him because she is still married to Griffin, the rock star. Griffin shows back up and he and Dave fight over Steph, it is quite funny at times but it also pulls at your heart strings. I really didn't like Griffin but I also felt bad for him at times. Of course you root for Dave throughout the book! As always with Kylie's book there is humor, romance and lots of steam. This is a great series!
Just like 'Almost In Love' this was so much fun to read! I love the H/h - Dave and Steph. Reading about their relationship as it went from pretty normal to crazy was a riot; with a rock star husband who refuses to divorce Steph, a bat shit stalker tabloid reporter, cool friends, Dave's not-so-sane sister Chris, and an evil cat named Loki, this was one rollercoaster ride! Even with Steph's irritating brain farts in regards to her handling of her ex Griffin, this was a sweet, sexy read. Kylie Gilmore is a great voice in the romance comedy genre. 5 stars!
This sweet story has humor and steamy romance. Dave is sexy and geeky math teacher. He's ready to commit and have a future with Stephanie. There's one problem, Stephanie technically still married. Stephanie's estranged husband comes looking for Stephanie wanting a second chance. Can Dave compete with a sexy rock star? Will Stephanie give Griffin a second chance? I enjoyed this story and the humorous parts. Great read. Received copy for honest review
Yes, I loved this and laughed my butt off. Dave seriously did the geekiest things that won my heart and had my #TeamDave from the beginning. Shrek really, EPIC!!!! I am happy for Steph and Grif because his love was misguided. Chris gave him the realist advice ever. He just had to hear what she was saying. Now I have to finish smiling from the press ploy. Great job Kylie you truly make geek sexy.
What would you do if you were in love with a man but never divorced your husband? That's what happened to Steph. She fell in love with Dave and never divorced Griff. After asking Griff for a divorce he comes back to fight for her. Who will win, the geeky math teacher or the rock star? This book will make you laugh out loud. I loved visiting with previous characters. This is a must read book!
This surprisingly hot story has lots of funny moments. The Shrek ears that pop up occasionally are so hilarious! Dave is such a cute nerd. But Griff's presence in Steph's life turns him into an animal in bed. I really enjoyed this.
The second book in the series was just a fun as the first! I knew that the couple was willing to fight for their relationship & with the different characters made it a great book!
