Emmy Violet's book offers a fresh straightforward approach to heal emotional wounds through energy practices. The book blends humor, compassion, and holistic insights to introduce methods like EFT tapping, breathwork, Reiki, PSYCH-K, and somatic therapy making them easy to understand for newcomers. The book stands out because of its style. Emmy writes as if she's a friend who has experienced similar struggles and wants to make you feel understood, backed, and even entertained throughout your journey. One quote captures the book's essence: <"Limiting beliefs are just bad roommates—you don't owe them rent, and you can evict them anytime."> Her personal story of overcoming autoimmune illness adds credibility, and each chapter includes hands-on exercises and real-world examples to help readers apply these tools in their everyday lives. What's the catch? The book skimps on scientific specifics and relies more on personal stories than studies. It could've cut some repetitive parts, and its lighthearted approach might not click with people facing severe trauma. Even so, this book offers a friendly encouraging start to mind-body healing. It's a great pick for anyone interested in energy healing but unsure how to begin.
I just came across Oops, I Packed My Trauma—and wow. Even from the blurb, I felt like I’d been handed a flashlight and a glitter wand for the healing journey.
There’s something so wonderfully rebellious and refreshing about your approach. Trauma healing with humor, energy medicine, and actual joy? Yes! It’s the kind of guide I wish more people had on their nightstand—not just for the insight, but for the permission to be human, playful, and powerful all at once.
I couldn’t help but wonder—when did you first realize this story, these tools, could really help others heal too? Because it doesn’t read like a simple guidebook. It reads like a soul-spark—a loving nudge to remember that healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but about coming home to yourself.
Thank you for sharing this. For making healing approachable. For reminding us that laughter and EFT can absolutely coexist.
If you’re open to it, I’d be honored to connect further.
If you put in the work with this book you learn a lot about yourself. I wasn’t ready for the intense thoughts this work provoked. I have an entire notebook of notes from homework that was assigned and different ways to recognize different triggers. Oops I Packed My Trauma is a great book to help through anxiety and doing serious inner work. I highly recommend!
This is probably the most comprehensive guide for overcoming the challenges of trauma that I have ever read. The detail and organization of steps and therapies is incredible. If you or someone you know is looking to overcome trauma of any kind this may be the guide for you. The questions, the reflections, the layout of methods and therapies is an incredible tool for finding what may help someone work through trauma. Well done. Ten stars.
Oops, I packed my trauma blends accessible energy healing wisdom with compassionate humour and practical exercises—perfect for those looking to unpack the emotional suitcases they didn’t realize they were carrying. As someone who likes the self-help genre, I was keen to access some new ideas that don't just revisit the basics. This one is a good'un.
This is a great one to dip in and out of, it’s written in a clear way, easy to follow and not full of psychobabble . I would recommend it to my clients
