NAVY
Going on a date with my roommate seemed like fun—until I friend-zoned him and ended up without a place to stay.

Enter Bodhi St. James—my brother’s best friend and the starting catcher for the Atlanta Strikers. Did I forget to mention he also broke my heart, ruining me for all men?

With no other options, he threw me a lifeline: a place to stay with no strings attached.

I hate to admit it, but even if I had somewhere else to go, the idea of spending every waking minute with Bodhi would be too tempting to pass up.

I just hope my heart can survive both hating and loving him.

BODHI
Navy Hayes, field reporter for the Strikers, my best friend’s little sister—and my greatest temptation.

When she shows up at my door, hurt and without a place to stay, all consequences flew out the window.

Not a thought about the repercussions with her brother, or the fact that I lied to her, making her believe she meant nothing to me.

But if she knew the truth…it would destroy us both.

After reading the first book in this series, I was excited to read Navy and Bohdi's story. I love a brother's best friend romance. This one had a lot of push and pull, and much like the first one, felt a little too long. As a whole, I enjoyed it. Especially towards the end.

If you love a good brother’s best friend, forced proximity romance with a heavy dose of SLOW BURN Drop Three is the book for you.

Bodhi and Navy fought their connection for the majority of this book which made the tension so freaking thick & add on the forced proximity and holy moly.

I truly loved these two characters. Navy marches to the beat of her own drum and I admired her fire. Bodhi had so much depth and I loved watching him overcome his struggles. My only critique is that I didn’t want their story to end!!

Thank you Indy for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy!

If you love a good brother’s best friend, forced proximity, and second-chance romance all wrapped up in a deliciously slow burn, Drop Three is a must-read!

Navy and Bodhi’s story is the perfect mix of angst, banter, and heart-melting moments. Navy is fierce and independent, but when she finds herself in a tough spot, she ends up staying with Bodhi—the one man who shattered her heart. And Bodhi? Oh, he’s the kind of book boyfriend who will have you swooning and screaming at the same time. His secrets, his protectiveness, and the undeniable chemistry between him and Navy make for an emotional rollercoaster in the best way.

The tension is so good, the romance is equal parts frustrating and adorable, and the Strikers setting adds the perfect sports romance backdrop. Navy and Bodhi’s journey from heartbreak to healing is filled with longing, misunderstandings, and moments that will make you clutch your heart.

If you love a story that keeps you smiling, sighing, and fully invested in the characters, this one is definitely worth picking up!

Now that the MLB season is in its Spring Training phase, Drop Three is perfect for the occasion. Indy Valentine created a compelling story that takes a look at the complexities of love, friendship and mental health.

This is my first book from this author, and I’m satisfied enough to read more from Ms. Valentine. The smart writing, the remarkable research work and the way Bodhi’s mental health issues were handled was fantastic. Looking forward to the next installment of The Atlanta Boys‘ series—just because I love the Boys and I LOVE BASEBALL!

add this to the list of sequels i like even more than the originals! what a step up! cal and kodi’s story will always be special, but navy and bodhi sure gave them a run for their money in this one! there was so much tension between the two of them that i couldn’t stop until i found out what happened in fiji. my girl navy just could not catch a break! i felt so bad, but i do feel like bodhi did a good job making up for it. i loved seeing how much they both cared for each other, even when they were hurting or being incredibly stubborn (i’m looking at you bodhi st. james). it was so nice seeing a broody, closed-off bodhi really focus on his mental health and start to open up over time. we love a man in therapy! i just could not get enough of these two! like last time, i do wish there was more on-page baseball, but i’m still looking forward to book 3!

I love a good brother’s best friend romance and when you throw in forced proximity and second chance, it takes it to a whole new level. Navy and Bodhi’s story brings all the angst, longing and tension.

Navy is so unapologetically herself and I loved that about her. She lives for herself and is currently in a jam when Bodhi offers her the spare room at his place.

Bodhi has so many demons and has dealt with so much. But he is genuinely such a good person. The longing he has for Navy is palpable but he feels he needs to stay away because her brother.

Definitely a slow burn, as they didn’t get together until the end. At times I felt the chemistry was a little lacking, but it was still there.

Another absolute perfect, angsty, slow burn from Indy!!

Navy & Bohdi were absolutely everything I didn't know I needed. Bohdi was so broken and given his history didn't feel he deserved someone as giving as Navy. When Navy moves in the same house they start to become friends, but the minute she starts going out on dates Bohdi doesn't want any of it. Love seeing his jealous side, and love seeing the growth in his character & healing with his past

I absolutely love the Atlanta boys series so much!!!! Thank you Indy Valentine & the author agency for my arc copy!

Seriously I loved Bodhi and Navy so much. My heart ached so much for Bodhi and everything he carries. He was such a protective, loyal mmc and I loved that so much! Navy was a strong force of nature! I absolutely loved the nicknames in this book. Their stubbornness made me want to shake them for never just admitting their feelings but my gosh it was so good!

2.5 rounded up.

First off: This review is not a positive one, it's not even constructive criticism, it's just criticism and me being a little mean about the story, so if you are the author, please, please, please, I beg of you, don't read this. This review is not meant for you in any way shape or form. Your work has value and many people enjoy it. You deserve the praise and to continue to write with joy.
I got this as an ARC, so thank you to Indy Valentine and The Author Agency for it.

Since the moment that Bodhi was all apprehensive about Navy being his friend’s sister I was ticked off. She’s her own person and her relationship with you should not affect your relationship with her brother. So already pissed off the bat.

The pacing was a bit off at the beginning, whole chapters of simply inner thoughts that didn’t move the story forward.

The whole “reason” for Bodhi to not be with Navy was ridiculous. Her brother just said “keep her safe” not “if you touch her I’ll kill you” like some other brothers best friend books go. Bodhi did this by himself, he fucked up and kept fucking up. His reasoning was shit and all it did was make me more angry with him. Go date the brother because you care more about his opinions than hers.
But then he has the gall to act like he’s her keeper, getting mad at her keeping a guys number or where she’s staying! After HE broke her heart and her trust!!! He kept acting possessive or her and her time only to think “I need to go on a date” and then get mad when SHE goes on a date. He says he’ll give her space then he betrays that and crowds her…I just couldn’t deal with his hot and cold behavior.

And then he gets defensive about her parents caring more about her sister than her WHEN HES DOING THE SAME!!!

Also, Navy’s friends sucked… she’s way too nice and these people were disregarding her feelings, making plans for her when she didn’t want them or leaving her alone when she needed company. And god bless my friends because they would never set up a guy I had/have a crush on with someone else right in my face.

We were past the 61% point and all that happened was hot and cold confusing behavior. No progress, no mentions of telling her brother how he feels, no attempts to explaining to Navy why he did what he did, nothing. Therapy progressing was basically a lie, because the dude didn’t move forward an inch. The suddenly one epiphany and he decides to get the girl…yeah no. I’m so sorry, but this guy pissed me off and his reasons were not sufficient for me to feel any empathy towards his situation, because it was a situation he created himself by choosing Cal’s feelings over Navy’s.

I couldn’t even enjoy when things did become romantic because the 76% of the book I just read made me irrationally angry. What do you mean it took you 311 pages out of 408 to solve your shit and ATTEMPT to get the girl?

And Navy is not innocent in all of this. She tried to move on sure, but the moment you realize you have no feelings for that other person, let them know, don’t string them along as a buffer. And her petty actions as revenge(?) were just immature. You are telling me you’d risk your job just to stick it back at someone? Because that’s what she did. She’s a reporter, a public figure and knows that how she dresses matters, I wouldn’t have given a fuck if her job was something other than that, but as such her decision to wear what she did just to piss Bodhi off was so damn stupid.

The spice was mild. Maybe it was good, but i was just so disconnected from the characters at that point, mind you 86% in the book. I’m not someone who needs spice every other chapter or even need it early in the book, but reading about a supposed to be in love friends to lovers where they are not even friends for over 300 pages made me feel like there was 0 chemistry, so the spice was meh.

By the time the ending rolled around I was more than ready. I’m sorry to say this book was not it for me.

Navy showing up on Bodhi's doorstep late at night was her last, desperate move after her temporary roommate kicked her out for not reciprocating his feelings. But what about the feelings she and Bodhi share? Becoming roommates is not going to do anything but increase the tension between them. Something's gotta give, will it be her or Bodhi, or will it be their friendship?

Navy and Bodhi's story is filled with angst and tension that gets thicker with each day. Though Bodhi had a past, once his backstory was revealed, I wanted to give him a big hug for what he had been through, what damage he still suffered from, mentally & emotionally. Then there's Navy - she lives her life for herself, unafraid of what others think of her, and I love that about her! Too many female characters are written to be people pleasers and it drives me nuts. I love the brother's best friend trope, for the forbidden deliciousness and angst, and Drop Three offers these in spades, plus two lovable characters and an excellent supporting cast. I'm really excited to read the next Atlanta Boy who falls in love.

Thank you Indy Valentine and The Author Agency for my copy of Drop Three. 🤍 I received this book for review, all opinions are my own and given freely.

Reading a baseball romance was so refreshing! I’ve been reading mostly hockey romance so it was super fun to dive into baseball for a change. Drop Three is my first read by Indy Valentine and absolutely will not be my last. Drop Three is book 2 in The Atlanta Boys series. I didn’t read book 1, Endgame, but I absolutely have it on my TBR and Amazon wishlist because the way I devoured Drop Three, I know I’ll feel the same about Endgame. Endgame was Indy’s debut novel and I can say Drop Three does not read as though it’s written by a relatively new author. It’s so good! The plot, the spice, the slow burn, it was all very well written. I didn’t feel lost reading Drop Three even though I haven’t read Endgame yet so I do feel as though it can be read as a standalone if you haven’t grabbed Endgame yet either. 5 stars, hands down, no question.

Drop Three is a delicious slow burn between Bodhi and Navy but also mixes in banter, angst and swoon. I loved both characters as well as the side characters. I’m hoping all of the side characters get their own books. I’m super pumped for the next book specifically because those characters really caught my attention and I need to know more about them! Bodhi went through a traumatic event that leaves him very mentally and emotionally scarred and he’s in the thick of fighting his own demons. Navy is the only sense of calm for him. I really loved them together, their banter was top notch, their pining but trying to deny and hide their feelings, the way they are each others person even when they’re on the outs, the spice when it finally hits was so worth the wait. The tension leading up to when it finally hits is sooo good. The sweet acts of service Bodhi does for Navy had me swooning. He’s setting the bar for book boyfriends!

We’re almost to the weekend! Wrapping up the last half of the week with another ARC review! Y’all are definitely gonna want to grab this on release day!

Drop Three is the second book in The Atlanta Boys, but can be read as a standalone. This’s a slow burn, high angst, second chance, brother’s best friend, forced proximity romance between Navy, a field reporter, and Bodhi, an MLB catcher.

I really loved Navy and I felt for her on her journey throughout this book. There’s a lot keeping her and Bodhi apart, but I loved that when he pushes her away, she stands her ground and makes it clear that she knows her worth. She knows that if a man can’t handle her at her worst, they don’t deserve her at her best, and I think that’s something we all need a gentle reminder of when it comes to dating and love. She makes it very clear that she wants someone to treat her like she’s their world and to mean it, and no one should ever settle for anything less.

Y’all are not ready to swoon over this man! I loved how Bodhi noticed every single thing about Navy, making little adjustments in his space and his routine to make her feel seen and cared for without hesitation. There’re so many beautiful moments where he wants her so badly that it’s as if when they’re in the same room, no one else exists. Even when he’s trying to respect her and her brother by staying away from her, he can’t stop himself from being drawn to her every time they’re in the same room, and he knows deep down at every second of this book that she’s his soulmate. This man would do anything for Navy, and their love is a healing journey for him as he accepts how unconditionally they love each other, trusting that they’re endgame for each other.

@indyvalentineauthor is a new favorite author for me after reading this book, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Thank you to @indyvalentineauthor and @theauthor.agency for this beautiful ARC! Be sure to grab this on KU tomorrow, March 28th💗

The Atlanta Boys #2

Navy Hayes is 28 and is a sideline reporter for the Strikers baseball team, she's also the little sister to the pitcher Callaway. When she goes out with her roommate/colleague and he thinks it's more than it is, he ends up kicking her out of the apartment so she ends up going to her brother's old place and staying with his teammates until she isn't.

Bodhi St. James is 30 and the starting catcher for the Strikers. He has had to overcome some things that happened in his past and he's just trying to get through each day especially since he feels he doesn't deserve to be here or to be happy.

Bodhi and Navy have been good friends especially since her brother is Bodhi's best friend and teammate. They kinda hook up at her brother's wedding but it all comes to a halt when Bodhi gets a text message to take care of Navy from Cal. At this point Navy has no clue what is going on and kind of hates Bodhi for his actions. She moves out of the guys house only to be brought back by Bodhi.

The tension and sparks between them is so heavy and they really do like each other but they can't cross that line or at least Bodhi thinks that so it's hard for them to move forward and for Navy to get past the hurt of what happened at the wedding. The sparring between them is hilarious as well as emotional at times as they try to figure out their lives.

4.25 stars
This is a new author for me and one that I enjoyed. Bodhi really has a heart of gold and is there for his friends even through his internal struggles. Navy was just her own person, loved her fashion/lipstick but had a huge heart for those she cared about.
The bathroom scene with Bodhi trying to get out of the tub had me in stitches.

✨ARC REVIEW✨4⭐️ I loved finally getting Bodhi’s story! He seems so mysterious and closed off in the first book and now I absolutely understand why!! Navy is Bodhi’s best friend’s sister and has always been off limit, partially because she has always been in a long term relationship. But everything changes when that relationship ends and they find themselves to get her in Fiji for Navy’s brother’s wedding. Things heat up and almost boil over but somehow the weekend ends in heartbreak for both of them . Fast forward a few months. Navy is currently staying at a hotel after turning down her current roommate and coworkers advances, that is until BODHI finds out and insists she takes the extra room in their house. After being in prison for a few years Bodhi is dealing with so many demons from his past. He has so many walls up, but he knows Navy is still off limits because he promises her brother he will always look after her. But with so much hurt and so many obstacles between them can they overcome it all and finally give into their feelings? Navy is such a dynamic character and I love how much she just wants to be herself unapologetically. She finally living life for herself and is truly thriving. My heart breaks for everything that Bodhi is dealing with…he’s been through so much and while his actions lead to the consequences he dealt with there is still so much good in him that you just want to see him succeed in fighting his demons. The chemistry they share is undeniable and you know it’s inevitable for them to give in to it. I love how raw and real this story was. Can’t forget all the appearances from the Atlanta boys. Their family of players brings so much joy and excitement to the story too!! Would definitely recommend picking up this series!

⚾️ Slow Burn
⚾️ Second Chance
⚾️ Brother's Best Friend
⚾️ Angst
⚾️ Mutual Pining

If you love brother's best friend, forced prox, angst, emotional depth, and the slowest of slow burns, highly recommend!

Bodhi St. James, our tortured and guarded MMC. Catcher for the Strikers. Best friend to Callaway Hayes (classic. Pitcher and Catcher are besties). Walking definition of the sought-after book boyfriend - ridiculously protective, doting from a distance, attentive, loving - in his own way.
The man makes a pitcher of iced coffee for her, so it's prepped for her daily - without any expectation of appreciation. Notices all the little things without ever having to be asked. But also one of the most wounded men, who has spent a solid year working on bettering himself after tragedy struck.

Navy Hayes, our fiercely independent, confident FMC. Also guarded and tortured in her own way - much moreso on an emotional level. Hasnt had the best luck in the love department. Strong willed and trying to now step up to the plate and put herself first. Her desires and goals. After a rough situation leaves her a bit stranded for a place to crash, showing up at Bodhi's house sends everything into motion. She's not afraid to stand up to him (or anyone, for that matter) and lay down the boundaries.

The memories and secrets from Fiji.
The underlying draw to each other.

Really enjoyed their story - healing, rekindling - both in friendship and more, Bodhi's growth and overcoming his past. Lots of push and pull between them. I was rooting for them to work it out between them. Will say, I did enjoy the build-up more than the last 1/4 of the book. Lost a bit of the momentum and chemistry.

Bodhi and Navy. Wow. What a book! The pining from these too.. jeez.. I had a ball of anticipation coursing through me for most of this book, because my goodness do these two love each other fiercely but can’t quite get on the same page.
They share a moment in Figi, succumbing to their attraction to each other, but Bodhi puts a stop to it because of what he fears Cal, Navy’s brother and his best friend will think. He hurts Navy deeply but he spends their time apart attending therapy and working on himself. He’s got deep scars, PTSD from something that saw him do jail time for 2 years and he’s not ready to love her properly when he doesn’t truly love himself. Navy can see he’s deeply affected by something but it doesn’t stop her from hating him momentarily, whilst also caring so deeply for him. She’s so conflicted, she tries to move on but he stole her heart when he was there for her after the break down between her and her long term partner Luke and she’s never got over him.
Wowser… these two go through a hell of a lot to get their happy ending, and despite Bodhi worrying about what Cal thinks, he needn’t of, as Cal can see how much he’s grown as a person, how the therapy has helped and how deeply he loves Navy. Navy is unapologetically herself, outgoing and fun and Bodhi lifts her up when she doubts herself on that, he also goes a little caveman possessive which was hot at hell too! 🤣
It gives such a good spotlight to men’s mental health and how therapy and the surrounding of people in your corner can help. This was a perfect second book to the series, I loved it so much, and I cannot wait to see what Gus and Tenleys story has in store for us next! X

BOHDI ST. JAMES • B • CATCHER.
Sweet, broken, too guarded… but perfect in every single way. The way I wanted to wrap Bohdi up, a million times over… it’s indescribable. This man is far too good for the world and one that is worthy of so much. You my sweet, Bohdi, are not a burden. One night changed his entire life, and he felt like he’d never recover.. until Navy Hayes came in like the pretty little earthquake she is and calmed his storm.

NAVY WILLOW HAYES • TERREMOTO • BABY
The wild, carefree, most loving, beautiful redhead you will ever meet. When you initially meet Navy in Endgame, you love her and continually root for her happiness… then you meet her and you want to remind her every single second how worthy she is of a love SO big, only one that comes from THE Bohdi St. James.

I’m trying to accurately write my feelings about this book but I don’t think there are enough words to do so. When I finished Endgame, I wondered what happened in Fiji… and boy oh boy does Drop Three provide. The obstacles, the jealousy, the inability to move on, the growth.. it’s all the perfect bit in this book. You are rooting for Navy and Bohdi, the whole time. I loved that we didn’t rush into Bohdi’s healing and how therapy doesn’t just heal you by going, it’s the push to heal yourself in the ways that are necessary for growth.

Now, this book is absolutely a SLOOOOW burn, but honey.. when it burns, watch out for the flames. 🔥 Bohdi in the sheets… whew, good lawd.

Did DROP THREE completely get me hooked on baseball romance books? Yes. Was the tension and anticipation frustrating but adorable at the same time? Also a big fat yes!!

Bodhi is a top mlb catcher that struggles with self worth after a terrible accident when he was first signed by Atlanta nearly took all of his dreams and the life of someone he cared about away. He may have served his time but the scares are definitely internal, and because he struggles he doesn’t feel worthy of Navy. Navy is his best friend, one of the only people to stick with him through his difficult time, little sister. She is a field reporter for the team and is a fiery red head who has a ton of self confidence it’s contagious. After a moment of weakness between the two of them, Bodhi sabotaged any chance of them being together. Let the angst and pinning begin!!

The tension between theses two, combined with the “will they won’t they surprise someone else has entered the mix” vibes in this book are unreal! I wanted to just hug these two or slap them to get them to see each others longing and understand their mistakes.

This book will definitely keep you smiling, will get you a little frustrated (I feel like the best slow burns accomplish this), but I promise you when they finally get their act together their feelings towards eachother just float off the pages. Totally worth picking up!

Indy Valentine is a new author to me but this won’t be the last of her books that I read! I love baseball romances, they are my favorite of the sports romances by far, and while this one provides all the team dynamics and none of the actual baseball I loved it! Navy and Bodhi have chemistry from their first scene but they also have a strong friendship, that has been splintered due to Bodhi’s past and his fear of losing Cal, Navy’s brother but overall their friendship and feelings never disappear. Navy puts a lot of boundaries down and doesn’t let Bodhi prevent her from living her life, and I like how much she pushes back against him, especially when he gets a little ridiculous and over the top, which is the one thing I hate about friends to lovers romances. I hate when one party doesn’t respect the other due to their feelings, it shows the feelings for them outweigh the friendship and I always like friends to lovers a little less as a result, but that doesn’t mean this book was so good I couldn’t put it down! I wanted to see how Navy and Bodhi figured it all out, got together, when Bodhi finally opened up to Navy and let her in, and finally gave into the amazing chemistry between them and none of that let me down at all! I need to go back and read book one cause I’m so interested in the rest of this series!

This was such a surprisingly deep and emotional read. It follows Bodhi and his path to healing not only himself but also his relationship with his best friend’s sister, Navy.

The therapy sessions was truly captivating, I found myself completely immersed session after session. The more I read, I felt the weight of Bodhi’s struggles but also felt happy when he showed tremendous improvement. I loved his character growth so much.

“I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m starting to believe I can be happy. I don’t know what it looks like yet, but I’m excited to find out.”

Also... this quiet and reserved man is pierced? Lol like whattt.

Okay on to the romance… it was so slooooow but HOT. The yearning and the back-and-forth, omg it was worth it. Navy was such a chaotic character but she suited him well. Their love story is a combination of REAL friends to lovers + second chance. They shared a ton of sweet moments even before and after they got involved with each other. I loved their relationship, it felt organic. They simply … just fit.

“Navy is the eye of my storm.”

What to Expect:
* Baseball player ⚾️ x Field Reporter
* Bestfriend’s sister
* Friends to Lovers
* Forced Proximity
* Second Chance
* Slow Burn
* Tortured Hero

Drop Three is my first Indy Valentine’s book and it will not be the last.
It's Navy and Bodhi’s story and I was hooked from the start.

Navy is a field reporter and she is independent and strong, but she has had her heart broken by her brother's best friend in the past and now she is forced to have him as her roommate. She was a force of nature, but was she stubborn!! Oh boy! I wanted to shake her sometimes 😂.

Bodhi is a baseball player who has his secrets and carries a lot within him. He is the typical broken hero, who has a lot of struggles to overcome. He and Navy have history and when she finds herself in a tough spot, he accepts to be her roommate.

I’m a sucker for second chances, high angst and a broken hero and this book had all I love. Mix all this with sports romance and a good dose of slow burn and you have the perfect combination.

I really love reading about characters that have depth and are complex with something to overcome in order to shine even more, and Bodhi was all of that, and even if sometimes I wanted to strangle him😂, he finally reached the emotional maturity that he deserved.

I will definitely read the first book in the series to catch up and I will wait for the third one.

I really wanted to thank Indy Valentine and the author agency for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance.

My first book by this author. It was pretty good I did enjoy the characters. They were very likeable and since I did not read the first book I will say there was a whole lot of back story going on with other characters. Bodhi was very likeable. His past made him very vulnerable.
I honestly tried to like navy but I could not warm up to her character. You really wanted to root for her but her character lacked something. She was just not your typical female romance character.
I think this book was just about bohdi.
When I read the trigger warnings on the beginning I was thinking wow did I sign up for a dark romance. I don't know about you but I found very little things that really made me as a reader find these triggers.
I really don't like to leave negative reviews because I know authors try hard. But I think this book could have been cut to 300 pages. Not over 400. It was way too long for the story that was told. And let's talk about the misattempts at the physical connection between the two characters. It did not get spicy until the end of the book. Which normally I don't have an issue with but being the length of the read it just seemed will it ever happen.
Overall I enjoyed the story of bodhi and Navy. They were two good characters.

Navy Hayes, a field reporter for the Atlanta Strikers, Navy is headstrong very sure of herself, and an independent woman who knows her worth!
Bodhi St. James, her brother’s best friend, and a professional baseball player, our tortured hero and a fear of letting himself be happy slow this burn down to an ember.
Their growing feelings & undeniable lust took off fast and ended in Fiji abruptly. The witty dialogue will drag you in. I found myself rooting for them as a couple but at the same time ready to kick Bodhi’s ass for being so stubborn.
Overall, Drop Three is an awesome story of second chances, finding love, self-healing, and an oh-so-slow burn. I do wish there was more spice all the tension and build-up was killin me waiting for Bohdi to get his shit together!

Am I a fan of angst? Yes. Did this book satisfy me? Also yes. Bodhi and Navy (such a cool name by the way) were so hot together and I loved the drama that came with it. He wants her but can’t want her? Give me more. Honestly, I was just so entertained by these two. They were chaotic and dramatic and absolutely insane sometimes, but I loved how it worked out. Sure, there were times I was frustrated by both of them, but that made the situations that much more exciting and left me wanting more. I will say, however, that I do not support Navy's outfit choices. Ever. But it was a nice character quirk.

I loved the therapy representation of course. The fact that it was scattered throughout the whole story and not just used once as a plot point was a nice bonus and I think it was done in a really healthy way. I applaud you, Indy Valentine! Another thing I appreciated was that while our MMC was a baseball player, they didn’t dwell on the specifics of the game. Instead they focused on the team. Since I am so character driven, this was amazing for me. Definitely read the book to find out what the title means to these two! (Hehe) All in all, an entertaining read and a great series.

⚾️Arc Review⚾️

This was my first time reading Indy and I absolutely adored the second book in her The Atlanta Boys series DROP Three!! Slooow burn with all the tension, chemistry and feels add in forced proximity and a grumpy hero and I ate this up!!

Navy is fiesty and fiery super relatable and a woman who takes no shit. I loved her and her chaos. Bodhi my tortured grumpy soul who's dealing with some trauma from something that happened a few years ago. I was rooting for him the whole way through. He had so many layers and such a deep soul. Bodhi being best friends and teammates with Navy's brother though makes Navy off limits so you know the tension between these two was off the charts. The push and pull was top tier and the banter had me cackling so much!! It hit all the check marks for me and I highly recommend this to anyone who loves slow burn second chance romance💓

My rating:

This book was wonderful !!!!! This is book 2 of The Atlanta Boys series. This book is a slow burn, brother’s best friend baseball romance ⚾️. This book was a little bit emotional, sweet and yes spicy 🌶️ 🌶️.

This story is about Bodhi St. James. He is the staring catcher for the Atlanta Strikers baseball team. He is best friend’s with Navy Hayes’s brother. Navy Hayes is the field reporter for the Strikers baseball team. She is Bodhi’s biggest temptation. When she shows up at his door, hurt and without a place to stay all consequences fly out of the window. Bodhi doesn’t think about the repercussions with her brother or the fact that he lied to her. He made her believe it meant nothing to him. Bodhi had demons and issues he is working through in therapy. He doesn’t want to burn bridges with Navy’s brother over his feelings for Navy. She ends up staying with Bodhi and they come to have serious feelings for each other. This story was definitely a slow burn romance. I liked how Bodhi was with Navy but he did push her away which was maddening in my opinion. I did love this story and the romance.
