8 • Sidehunter • 38 pages by Rajnar Vajra
Excellent/VG. Dr. Susan Artab, now a hybridim, has come to Parson's planet to get specimens of an endangered species. Her mission is hampered because the planet is extremely dangerous and she isn't getting much cooperation from the staff at the base. Action packed and the plot gets thicker as the story continues.

64 • Irena's Roses • 17 pages by Marissa Lingen
Very Good. The doctors prescribe environments with low stimulation for patients with Irena's condition. When her doctor sees her home she is shocked at her husband's disregard.

81 • Tongue-Tied • 13 pages by Grey Rollins
Very Good. Victor and Martin are called in to help with solving a murder that looks like it may involve aliens.

98 • Forget Me Not • 8 pages by Amy Bechtel
Very Good/Good. A doctor is second guessing himself, checking and re-checking diagnoses and treatments almost to the point of not being able to function. Ever since the loss of one of his patients.

106 • Ships In the Night • 10 pages by Jerry Oltion
Very Good/Good. The astral astronauts chase after the ship that they briefly saw in the last episode. This leads them to a ship the size of a small planet.

116 • Finding Myself • 16 pages by Brenda Cooper, Larry Niven
Very Good/excellent. Christa is living in a virtual world with other people whose organic bodies have died. When she goes in for backup she learns that there is another copy of her. This could lead to both of them being deleted. Nice mystery, neatly done.

"Sidehunter" - Rajnar Vajra

Very much enjoy the writing on this one so far. Descriptive, good characters, moves along nicely with a minimum of info dump. A solid story.

"Irena's Roses" - Marissa K. Lingen

An interesting story examining changing how changing the treatment of a disease can be hindered by outmoded beliefs. Characters are well drawn.

"Finding Myself" - Brenda Cooper & Larry Niven

Well written and interesting. About existence after death in a virtual reality, with its own laws governing existence.

"Tongue-Tied" - Gary Rollins

A mostly forgettable piece of fluff. A humorous detective story with an alien protagonist, and a future milieu that still has outmoded stereotypes of women reminiscent of what you would find in early Noir.

"Forget Me Not" - Amy Bechtel

A poignant story, about the reasons why even painful memories are important and must be retained, they are quintessential to our humanity.

"Ships in the Night" - Jerry Oltion

Well written, with interesting characters, but the plot is rather hackneyed - giant ark of ship seeding worlds - and ultimately, this one doesn't really go anywhere.
