Using more than 40 recipes and illustrating each point with full-color photography, this how-to guide teaches any reader to get organized and live more efficiently and effectively. Understanding that organization is an accumulation of small, individual decisions, sections include the cleaning up of a number of locations, such as work, on the go, paper, living spaces, kitchen, and kids rooms. Organization is a skill that can be learned, and is crucial to personal and professional success; from finding shoes that match to ending the cycle of late payment fees, readers can use this book to simplify and better their life.
I am the constant organizer that never is organized. That being said, I have read a lot of books about getting organized and this had some new ideas. i liked the way it was presented and I felt like it was very easy to follow her suggestion.
I’ve had this book for over a decade. Thought I’d re-read it and see why it hasn’t helped me organise my life “once and for all” as it says on the cover. There’s some good tips, which I will follow up on, but many are outdated with the move to digital bill paying. Also some tips are rather simplistic. (Wish we could give half stars ‘cause I’d give this two and a half.)
This is almost the only book you need to get on with decluttering your environment. The author utilises no nonsense and non irritating language. Content that challenges you to change.
English text follows Wajar kan kamar kos laki-laki berantakan?
From this small book, I have learnt some quick techniques to organize everything in my room: books, letters, accessories, and even digital files. Well, I just realized that being minimalist is wonderful!
maunya sih terorganized, tapi kok baca tips-nya ribet banget ye, tidak cocok buat orang simpel kayak gue.. trus ini buku jadi beriklan-iklan merek pulpen yang bagus, selotip apa yang bagus, dll.
nih salah satu contohnya:
Notes Berperekat Pilihan terbaik adalah 3M Post-it Notes.
This is a pretty good book about how to get all your stuff organized. The first part of the book covers her general philosophy of organization and bulk of the book is made up of what she calls recipes for putting certain things/rooms in order.
It's written for a British audience so occasionally a little translation is needed.
My takeaway from the book is that the question you should ask yourself when trying to decide what to get rid of is this: would I pay to replace it? If not, throw it out.
This book has more wonderful ideas than you can poke a stick at. But particularly I like the project for organizing those receipts you have to keep for tax or expense claims or whatnot. If you have lots of "stuff" you need to keep and your systems aren't working for you, (or you don't have any method to your madness!) this book has some revolutionary ideas for controlling and managing things so you can find them again easily.
This wasn't a bad book, not at all. But, it definitely wasn't a particularly good or creative one either. Over and over, on every organizing project she mentioned, she used the exact same four steps, plus maybe one or two others.
I did find a few neat things. For example, she breaks goal setting down into easy steps. SMART = specific, measurable, achievable, reliable, timed. Good, hunh?
Some good points and tips. Very clearly laid out and not too much waffle. A couple of good products mentioned. I suppose I already do the organised things mentioned in this book and I thought the rest of it was irrelevant, but nicely spaced and laid out. Overall, fairly lightweight, but good if you have no idea where to start. This is a book for slightly disorganised people, not hoarders.
