Xavier, the Order's Alpha male, is the strongest and brightest of the brothers. Dealing with a crushing loss from his past, he is focused solely on defeating the shifter supremacists of Toltec. Safe inside his world of logic and reason there is no room for a female.
When Rose Sato, a Harvard professor, is attacked by hellions, Xavier comes to her aid. Unable to resist the mating call, they give in to their passion. But Rose has a secret. One that neither strength nor intelligence can fix. One that hits Xavier too close to home.

She is currently writing ETERNAL CALL, NEW BREED BOOK 6, to be released Spring of 2016.
This the fourth installment of the New Bread Novel Series. The succession continues with all the brothers of the Order with the fight with Toltec and hellions. This book focus on Xavier and Rose Sato. Xavier would the last male of The Order to mate. One night when Rose's life was threaten, Xavier could not fight his feelings anymore. There is something else threating this happy couple. It is was nice to see Pax admit his feelings for James. I can't wait for the next book. This is a new series for me and I have really enjoyed discovering a new series (because yay more books to read!). “Fatal Call” by Martha Bourke is the 3rd in a series and it made the first couple of chapters a bit tough as I floundered with getting to know the world and the specific language. I have read JR Ward and Gena Showlater so I get the whole Paranormal/alpha male genre and so I got into the swing of the story. Bourke could have spent a little fabricated time filling in the backstory. The story focuses on Xavier, one the Orders lead fighters and his mate Rose Sato. Rose is interestingly a survivor of Hiroshima – she has a very long life since she is a shifter – looks like 30 even though she is 70. She is a There is also a second story of the love affair between James and Pax – I love the addition of gay romance stories to paranormal novels something that has only happened in the last couple of years(?). Romance is romance no matter who is involved. Plus Pax is just a rocking fighter and there is a scene where he is trapped by some enemies that is amazing action scene – also there is more tension is the romance between James and Pax so it becomes more interesting immediately. At the end Rose’s story becomes interesting and crazy – I don’t want to spoil it but it was very moving. There are lots of interesting characters introduced in earlier books and they all make an appearance. The dialog between the characters is awesome between the characters – very natural and helps drive the story. I would like some more description of the environment – more “establishing shot” descriptions to ground me in the story and the wonderful dialog but is this because I am new to the series or because it is so interesting, I want to learn more about it? I am totally going to go and read the first 2 books.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and although it is the fourth in the series after reading this book I will be going back to read the rest of the books in the series. It was obvious that the other books are based on some of the other couples that are secondary characters in this book which has made me want to read them all.
The main characters are Rose and Xavier these two characters are brought together due to the fact that they are each other’s mate. This book was all about them two finding each other and getting through the issues they face together.
There were a lot of characters in this book which added to the story brilliantly giving helpful insights into problems the main characters are facing. I am very much looking forward to reading more of the books in this series so that I can get a better understanding of the other characters in this series.
The pacing and storyline were great and they worked perfectly together. The pacing kept us guessing what the outcome of the story would be until the very last minute. And the storyline for me was brilliantly original and it was brilliantly written keeping readers hooked and invested in the storyline.
4 stars a really great read and I will definitely read the rest in this series
Fatal Call by Martha Bourke ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)***
Having read all of the books in the New Breed series one after the other, I was up to date on all of the characters and major events. Having said that, it was still a little bit of a challenge to keep all of them straight in my head. For people who have never read any of the previous books in the series, I would not suggest reading them out of order. This series is truly unique, and the previous books lay the foundation for book four.
Xavier and Rose’s story is another fast paced and well thought out novel. Even though this was not my all time favorite book in the series (I love Troy), I still really enjoyed the ever evolving storyline and new challenges. While Xavier and Rose are the primary focus of this book, there is definitely a very present side love story occurring between two male characters, James and Pax. Although I have never read M/M romance before, I still felt drawn to their relationship. Their story will probably be book 5 in the New Breeds series :P . I have truly become a fan of Martha’s books. I’ve read all 4 books in the series and have found each and everyone of them fresh, unpredictable, and inventive. Another great read!

As it has been quite a while since I read the previous books in this series it took me a little while to put everything together. There are so many characters in this book and all living together that the first few pages were confusing. I caught up and enjoyed it.
I remembered lots from the previous books and the back stories of some of the characters. I would strongly recommend that the books are read in order but that's not to say that this can't be read as a stand alone, just that you would be missing out on so much information if you don't.
Xavier was great and really deserved his chance to be the focus in this book. All the characters are really well written. There are so many little sub plots going on at the same time you don't know who, or what, you will 'pop in' on next.
Wow. There is a lot going on in this book. Since I have not read the preceding books, I did not know about this author or her style of writing. The way she switches from one person’s perspective to another is refreshing. It kept me on my toes while reading, so I didn't get sucked into a safe read. I had no idea what would happen next or to whom. It was great! The mating call sounds intense for each of the characters it’s happening to and I find myself needing to know what happened in the first 3 books. This isn't just the story of X and Rose, but James and Pax as well. The ending will be a good flow into the next book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review LoP (Lovers of Paranormal).

I have to say that this wasn't what I thought it would be. I enjoyed the Goddess and Seer and the Warriors but the rest of it wasn't interesting to me. Too much focus on the finding of one's mate and the ones that did have a mate the saying of my male was annoying to me. The focus given in Rose and her condition was just too depressing and the area of James and Pax was a turn off for me. This was actually a 2.5 star rating for me, the ending made no sense to me at all. I thank you for giving me the chance to read and review your book.

I was given this book to write an honest review from the goodreads group LOP lovers of paranormal. Having read the other books in the series this one did not disappoint! It was a very busy book with alot going but this did not cause issues with reading it. The characters were great as with the other books, I really want more Pax and James.... I was so please how the book turned out for X and was gutted too!!! Sat here shouting at the kindle "No that can't happen!!!"(not giving anymore away) This book was well written and the plot followed on from the previous books. Thanks for a great read!!!
I read all the books back to back and non-stop. I am not new to this genre so I recognize the pattern. What I REALLY liked about this series was the non-stop, in-your-face action. By the end of each book I felt battered and bruised physically and emotionally. It was delicious! The trade off being that there was just enough character interaction to link one harrowing situation to the next. At one point it got so hectic I had to write a spreadsheet of who's who. 5 stars for the series as a whole and bated breath as I wait for the next installment.
There was so much going on in this book. The new breeds have so much to contend with, rebellions, mutants and all there personal problems.Every one was surprised when X found h
This book was great but it almost ended in a bad way for one of the characters.Every one has their own problems and they all know something bad is about to happen. The New Breeds can only do so much, now they need all the help they can find.Start at the beginning with number one and read all of these books, they have a great story about love, friendship and friends.
You must read this book because it is amazing. The characters were awesome and was glad to read about the other characters from the previous books. It was hard to put down as I got farther into it? I recommend this book to anyone who likes books with strong alphas, action, and romance.
If you haven't read the preceding books first, then this one will be confusing and disjointed. At least, that's my experience. Otherwise, the editing is clean and the dialogue snappy. I did not finish the book because, without adequate background, it's like being thrown into a party without knowing any of the guests.
I love the New Breed Novels and Fatal Call is no exception. Once I started reading I was totally hooked - couldn't put it down. I love the way the author has created such great characters while writing a captivating and gripping story.
This book was amazing. All of the twists and turns. Wow ,I am kind of bad figuring things out before I read further into the book. I pay close attention to the point I start figuring things out.It is crazy how some people are intertwined with each other. I just can't wait for the next book.
While I like the story, I really don't like feeling like I'm left without a complete ending. Each character gets a story and all are woven together, but all must be read in order to get the complete story.
I have fallen in love with all of the new breeds and their mates. Martha Bourke know how to weave a great story and keep the reader on the edge of their seat. Now I need to go after book 5 of this series!
