Classic text. I read it a long time ago, but I pull it out now and then to review certain things.

This is a very solid introduction to proper probability theory. It is at a level similar to Casella Berger but more friendly and with a bit less material. The third edition, which is the one i read, is more than 50 years old and it still very modern in the way it is written. It is chatty, provides intuitions and motivations in the right places and has plenty of examples.A course in calculus and some matematical maturity is enough to go trough the entire book. It is truly a pleasure to read. Strongly recommended!

Reading for a class on the Theory of Statistics.

This is true math-ese. Don't read unless you like lots of variables. I like math and didn't like this book. The classes are easier to learn from than the book.
