Rate this book
Light years away from home drifts a cold, bleak ship; seemingly void of all life.......
Markus Clyde woke from Stasis in a lonely, dark room; dimly lit by the emergency power.
Without another soul in sight...
Confused, frightened and alone he desperately tries to seek answers. Why was he drifting through space on what appeared to be an abandoned ship? Where were the rest of the crew? All the while, more than aware that someone or something watches from the shadows.
With power rapidly failing and disturbing events occurring throughout the ship, he finds himself in a race against time.
To get the ship home.......
Or die trying.

A Dark tale of isolation and fear. Far away from home, deep in the abyss.

I am this close to DNF-ing this bad boy at 28%.

Although the storyline is fraught with tension, I keep noticing errors in the text - grammatical, spelling, typos, etc. I found myself making notes of them in the Kindle, just for sheer obstinacy.

I will push on. The reviews for this story urge me to finish . . .

May 2021 Update - I finished this book on a windy Monday morning - the eeriness of the chimes on the back porch paying tribute to the spookiness of the ending of this book. Much better the second time around.

Eerily creepy....

This book will certainly put a shiver up your spine. The fear and tension builds page after page as you descend into a hellish nightmare that is both subtle and gripping.

Very much in the vein of Algernon Blackwood, the author sends you on a frightening roller coaster ride that will grip you through great storytelling rather than explicit gore and violence that is all too common now days.

Well worth the read!!

That was reeeeeally good. I usually get a little frustrated or disappointed with short stories. But this was exceptionally well done.
