LJ Amodeo was born and raised in New York. A wife and busy mother of three, LJ juggles several jobs as an author, owner/founder of BizzyMom Productions, and a devoted NYC middle school foreign language teacher. LJ, always had a flare for writing and attended St. John’s University with hopes of someday becoming a journalist. Her passion of working with adolescents, inspired her to become a public school teacher. LJ always knew that working with kids would be her greatest reward and joy.
LJ first started her writing career on a whim of imagination, subliminal messages in 2009. She is enthusiastic about her first novel DESCENDANT, scheduled to come out in the spring of 2015 with Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing. Long hours and many sleepless nights, LJ’s thoughts are transcribed into this high paced, dark young adult/crossover paranormal romance. This epic novel is the first book in a series. Book two, THE CONCEPTION released in August, 2015. The final book of the Descendant Series is a work in progress. Stay tuned for Transcendent Soul...
This is the 2nd book by this very talented author.
Can Elizabeth manage to escape what fate has store in for her by carrying the child of Satan. Or can she change this unwanted desire.
Freddie hides Elizabeth at a safe haven not only that is off the grid but will b protected by the Legion of Light. This means watchers is strongly forbidden.
Whilst Elizabeth is there she is left alone with just her thoughts. Will Michael ever return? Does she thinks about the love she has for Michael who is the embodiment of the Archangel. It is also here Elizabeth starts battling her feelings for her long time friend and guardian Freddie.
I feel so bad for Elizabeth as each time she has found love it has cruelly taken away from her and goes ashtray.
The battle of age comes around and Elizabeth characters decides to do the unthinkable.
Awakening the Dark Realms fiercest warriors and betrays the trinity. The destiny of all of this is and will be decided by the birth of this one child
Yet again LJ has done it with this book and made my hand not only glued to my kindle but I simply couldn't put it down.
The Conception by LJ Amodeo is the second book in the Descendant Series. This story was a lot like the first, interesting for the most part but dragged in some parts. I disliked Elizabeth even more in this one and Freddy didn’t really stay consistent with his character. I didn’t recognize him half the time. He just wasn’t Freddy, even when he was Freddy. It has the potential to be amazing though. It was an enjoyable read.
The Conception starts right where The Descendant left off with Elizabeth and her mother careening in to the water from a crash and Elizabeth being saved by Freddie. After Elizabeth is saved from death she is taken to a secret place only the Angeles know where it is. She has to live there because she is the key to a prophecy that was written a long time ago. While Elizabeth is in seclusion she's having to deal with all the things that is going on with her and to her. She is having premonition of the future of her having a baby with Luca the son of Lucifer. Luca and the watchers are trying to get Elizabeth because Luca wants what he deserves. While all this happening Elizabeth keeps getting into situation that are dangerous to her. Michael and the blue legion has come back to save Elizabeth from Luca and his minions. While Michael is with Elizabeth at Eden(secret place) they comes together in one magical way and change the prophecy. Now that the prophecy has changed Elizabeth, Michael, Freddie, and the rest of the Angels have to fight to stay alive.
Whoa! From one epic situation to another, we continue Elizabeth’s viewpoint from the cliffhanger of book 1. This part of the story we glimpse multiple events that keep the intrigue alive. Leave it to Beth to make rash and catastrophic decisions, although it is done out of love and good intentions. Afterall she is still a teenager not quite 18 nor experienced as an adult. I don’t wish to release spoilers but keep in mind book 2 does exceed book 1. Definitely worth reading. Onto the conclusion of this trilogy.
Overwhelmed with loss and confusion clarity seems out of reach.
With so many overwhelming circumstances bearing down. Conflicting information from many sources. It is difficult to find trust and truth. Between disorienting visions, contrived deception, and weight of making the wrong choice where can her path be found. Who can be trusted.
I enjoyed the plot of the story. Angels and mortals put into a fantasy story . Top that with hidden words of wisdom, a war between heaven and hell. Between Satan and Archangels. Between the sons of Lucifer and God's chosen one Archangel Michael. There's love, hate, war, death, self perseverance, sacrifice, birth, death. Well written. Only con for this book is the author did not decipher the Latin that they use. We as readers were suppose to understand what was said but it was not repeated in English. Throughout out both books is quite a bit of Latin . I feel it took away some understand of the story.
