Tidal Wave

Rate this book
Dark days. Long nights. Dead eyes.

Ever since Kris’s battle with Devon, a victory that should have brought her and the Chosen peace, she’s been on the run.

Kris has left the beach, and all the painful memories associated with it behind. She’s traded in cut-offs for leather and given up her surfboard for lead guitar in a speed metal band. She’s hell-bent on revenge against those who wronged her and left her powerless. But she’s running out of time, her body and mind deteriorating with each passing day.

She may be the only one who can end dark tyranny. Can she do it while she still has the strength to overcome her enemies, or will she only uncover secrets that wash her away in a tidal wave of misery?

My last name is pronounced Dick-ee (’nough said).

I left the lucrative-but-boring field of accounting to pursue my dream of having superpowers, or at least writing about superpowers.

I dig surfing (even though I’m not good at it). I also greatly enjoy needlepoint. Yes, needlepoint. It’s wicked relaxing (and tremendously embarrassing to admit)! I love reading and tend to bounce from one genre to another depending on my mood. Favorite authors are Christopher Moore, Janet Evanovich, Carl Hiassen, and Christopher Paolini to name a few. I live in the great Midwest with my man, two kids, and dogs.

This was definitely a very interesting and unique book. It takes a new approach to good vs evil. The author has a very pleasant writing style that reads at a great pace. The plot is captivating and has some very well placed and well developed twists that you don't see coming.

I had a little difficulty being able to related to the main characters. They were all in all good characters and I can't pinpoint why I had no connection, but that doesn't mean they are bad characters. I found they play well of each other.

All in all this is a good read. At first I was a little upset I didn't realize there was a first book, and was afraid I would feel a little behind, but the author did a great job bringing you up to speed.

I have received this book from the author for an honest review. (LoP, Lovers of Paranormal)

Received this book from Goodreads giveaways. Having not read the first book in this series I was sort of lost for the first 100 pgs., after that the book got interesting. There were quite a few grammatical errors.
