He always keeps his promises.

Angelina has sacrificed everything to be with the man she loves. Forced to abandon her family, and even her own identity, Angelina depends on Haithem as never before. With no more secrets between them, Haithem has become the source of all her needs. Sexually. Emotionally.

But not even Haithem can hide forever.

While they're sneaking across borders, avoiding persecution from everyone who would see Haithem dead and his prototype stolen, the media fascination surrounding Angelina's disappearance continues to mount.

For Angelina, it's a brutal reminder of what she's left behind and the pain she's caused to those who believe her dead or held against her will.

To Haithem, it's a warning: he stands to lose the one person left in his life he loves beyond measure. The hunt won't be called off until his enemies have destroyed him, his life's work and everyone involved—including Angelina.

He has only one choice. He's promised to protect her. And Haithem always keeps his promises.

She has given up everything for the man she loves, even her identity and he has become her world, the one person who can give her all that she needs, but they are on the run, hiding out from danger and certain death. Haithem is the target for evil. His creation is life-altering and for some, it will mean their financial and power hungry demise. It cannot to be allowed. Follow their desperate journey to stay one step ahead of death as they live each moment together with sizzling passion and his pledge to keep her safe.

Angelina’s disappearance is known globally, but no one knows the truth, it was her heart Haithem stole, not her person. One slip can bring their lives to an end, but does a phone call count?

Didn’t You Promise by Amber A. Bardan is raw emotion at its sharpest. Haithem will do anything to keep Angelina safe, but what happens shreds her will to live. Their love is almost too over-powering, but is it the need to compact a life full of emotion into an unknown quantity of time? Ms. Bardan does not hold back on the action, the tension or the passion with bold strokes of her pen and gut-wrenching scenes as she guides us through this maze for survival and love.

Didn't You Promise? is the second book in the Bad for You series by Amber Bardan. In the first book Didn't I Warn You? we met Angelina who is young and innocent and living vicariously through her friends encounters with men so when she sees a talk, dark, handsome and mysterious foreigner in the local coffee shop she's immediately intrigued with him. The two are from completely different worlds where Angelina is still the good girl living at home with her parents and Haithem leads a life of danger always looking over his shoulder.

Now that Haithem has shared his secrets with Angelina she has sacrificed everything for him leaving behind her family and even her identity after falling in love with him. The pair are still in extreme danger from those after Haithem and continue to stay on the run and in hiding before they are caught.

When reading the first book in this series I was completely surprised by just how intense the story was and how quickly I became hooked on the story. Now even knowing what the secrets were that Haithem had been hiding through the first book the intensity hasn't died down as the story continues, if anything really it became even more action packed and explosive in this second book.

Along with the intensity in this story there are also a lot of very sexy moments between Haithem and Angelina and if anything now into the second book those have become even steamier than in the first book. The relationship seems to have gone to a whole new level now that the secrets are out which had the steam coming from the pages while reading.

Overall, a sexy series with an intense, action packed plot. Recommend this one to the romantic suspense fans.

What do you say about a book that you're been dying to get your hands on since the first one ended? A book that has caused you to cry, laugh and yell, all within one chapter. A book that causes believable dreams. You know what I'll say? I. LOVED. EVERY. WORD. WRITTEN!!!

In the first installment, we meet Haithem and Angelina and watch them fall in love. In this installment, Haithem and Angelina continue to outrun those chasing them. But the love that Haithem and Angelina have for one another is seriously pushed to it's limits, over and over again. Not only by those they can't trust, but by themselves as well.

Just like in the first installment, there are twists and turns that pull you deeper and deeper in to the abyss that is Haithem. Although we watch the identity change (you'll understand later), there is always Haithem. There is always love and there is always some sort of awareness that is hard to miss (yes, I'm writing in code). We watch a young lady grow into a stronger woman than when we first meet her on that wonderful yacht. One that has learned from watching Haithem. One that, in the end, knows exactly who she is and what she wants.

Will love win out in the end? Would I have loved this as much if it didn't? As much as I love the love story, I equally in love with...their STORY.

P.s. - The author gifted us with a little audio tease on Goodreads.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I am obsessed with this series. I normally draw the line at overly-possisive alphas, sometimes there is such thing as too much, but not with Haithem. Part bad guy with his secrets and part good guy with his love and desire to help the world; he's all the brooding, handsome, intelligent man you could possibly need. Angelina is a bit naive, overly-emotional, a bit obsessive, and the perfect girl for Haithem as it turns out. These two are unforgettable. Angelina has willingly gone along with Haithem's plan, her love of him strong enough to outshadow her home where he family and friends are with no knowledge of her whereabouts. Things aren't easy though, danger lurks at every turn as Haithem pushes to achieve his goals, working for the greater good against money hungry evil. They've exhausted all their options and when Plan D happens...let me tell you, I think I reacted just like Angelina did. This book takes insane to a new level, it's twisty and suspensful, exhausting and emotional, but also so very romantic and sexy.

He was here. We were together. It'd be all right, we just had to make it to the end.

As the follow up to Didn't I Warn You the life of Angelina and Haithem is just as intense, it's action-packed, and it's so unpredictable. I loved getting time with these two characters again, even though it's under less than ideal circumstances. Amber A. Bardan brought back these characters I love so much, but with more complexities and a lot of character development. Their relationship has evolved, but the dangers in Haithem's life has too and his desire to protect Angelina outweighs everything. The details are extensive, I could picture the streets of India, feel the heat of Malaysia, and I felt the emotions from Angelina as her life flipped upside down once again. Didn't You Promise definitely packs a strong punch, I couldn't step away from this book for anything and read it late into the night. I felt like I was Angelina, like I was there trying to pick up the pieces of my life and my heart.

I loved the lion that protected me, but I remembered the shark who stalked me. And I loved the shark as well.
That vicious animal was rising again.

The only struggle I have is at war with how much I love these two characters. While there's a lot of character development and growth, we also revisit just how possessive Haithem is and just how naive Angelina is. Both of these have major mood swings that are hard to keep up with and as a reader I got frustrated with the ups and downs of their relationship, especially after things settled down in terms of danger. The book takes place of a lengthly period of time, but unfortunately we only get a glimpse so I had to convince myself their changing emotions and constant acceptenace and forgiveness came with time, rather than the quick moments we had. It comes across as though Angelina's love encompasses her life and overshadows all other feelings, but we know that as untrue. Then Amber dangled Avner in front of us and I realized he was even more unforgetable, even while reading this book I thought back on him. Hard to follow a story when you're like, mmm that other dangerous man would be fun to have around. Now I want more and right now..not later!

His name repeats in my head like a siren-a sound that echoes over and over on a loop-until whatever meaning it has becomes a blur.
Haithem, Hiathem,Haithem.

You must read Didn't I Warn You? in order to read and understand Didn't You Promise?, trust me though, these are worth the read. These book come to life as you read, you'll find yourself as the main character, living the tumultuous sea of their emotions. It's action-packed, erotic, and such a great addition in the Bad for You series.

He pleads to me in his rough gorgeous native tongue. His lips bleed his heart against my skin. My body arches, the sound of his voice penetrates my soul.

From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Didn’t You Promise (Bad for You, #2) . . .
Anticipation may have clouded my judgement but awaiting for this one to come out was like waiting for 'American Idol' to come to an end and the new season to start again. After reading the first book in this series, I have been waiting like a good little reader for this one to hit the electronic air waves. You must read the first book before this one. You will got so much more out of it.

I don't see things exactly as other see them and what I found inside these pagers was just utterly emotional engaging. Tormented torture. Aggravating anger. Bitter/broken bite of betrayal. Understanding, acceptance, persecution, desolation, and despair. There were just touching a few steps of the emotional gambit entered, processed, claimed, and dealt as I read through this one.

Angelina had given up much to be with the one man that made her feel completely alive. Haithem feels the weight of having the one thing in this world threatened because of him.

This read was one ride after the next of twist, turns, discovery, revelations, and much more. I wonder what is in store next for the author, the characters, and this series.

My expectations were high as I dived into this second book in the Bad For You series. Ms. Bardan didn't disappoint with Didn't You Promise as we continue the journey with Angelina and Haithem.

There's no doubting the potency of Angelina and Haithem bond in the first book so I'm surprised that their connection became stronger and more intense as their relationship developed. With an alternate point of view, we're exposed to the thoughts of both protagonists at crucial points during their dangerous, secretive expedition as the true magnitude of Haithem plan is revealed. Yet, the way's littered with insecurity, betrayal and deceit. Potential danger always at the forefront as Haithem wrestles with his conscience...should he leave and walk away from Angelina or stay?

Angelina's trust, love and devotion to Hathem are tested to the limits as she comes to terms with the sacrifices – not only her own but Haithem's too. She may have been a shy unassuming, naive young woman before that fateful night she went to Haithem's boat. However, as time moves on, she's more than capable of holding her own within their extraordinary coupling to the point where she is the one to bring the controlling-alpha Haithem to his knees.

The pace is fast, the sexy times are hot, the writing superb!

I strongly recommend you read Didn't I Warn You first to fully identify with the protagonists and their story...it won't disappoint. I highly recommend to fans of Romantic Suspense.

Check out more of my reviews on at Home. Love. Books. - The best place to find your next book! http://www.homelovebooks.com photo synopsisgraphic.pngThis is the follow up to the first book in the series, Didn't I Warn You, and it picks up pretty much where we left off, Angelina being made completely aware of who Haithem is, why is his running, and how dangerous his life is going to be for the foreseeable future. I think the thing that struck me the most when I first started this book is how different these two characters are. In the first book they still had this push and pull dynamic, going from being a captive basically to being two people who fell for each other, so I was more focused on that in the first book. But in this book, I really noticed the striking differences. I mean Angelina is very young, and not just in age, but also in I think maturity as well, her parents are very sheltering and a lot of her life was devoted to her brother who passed away, and she missed out on I think of experiences. On the other side you have Haithem who is older, much more mature, and very comfortable with who he is. He is a very focused man, he is super driven to get this one goal accomplished and he is very fierce in both protecting the woman he has come to love, but also in getting his goal accomplished.

To me while their differences really shined through in this book, together they just worked. Haithem gives Angelina a purpose she really didn't have before, and really just by simple interactions builds up her confidence in herself and really allows her to discover who she is. I don't think Angelina would be as strong as she is or have evolved like she does in these books without him, if you remember in the first book she was very kind of just going through the motions of life without really living.

As for Haithem, Angelina really changes the game for him. His purpose in life has been set for some time, he wants to bring this new invention out into the world, not just for the world, but also because it's something his father worked on. His family was murdered over this, so it makes sense that he is so driven, but he is so driven that he basically casts off anything but that, and in his own is just living by going through the motions to accomplish this one goal. Angelina opens him up again, reminds him that there is more to life and really allows him to feel again, to love her. For me this is most noticeable in the small moments, where she just places her hand on his face and says something simple and it seems to just bring peace to him. I liked that they both did so much for each other, in different ways, but it wasn't just one sided, it wasn't just one character coming in and changing the life of another.

The book itself is pretty fast paced I would say, I read it pretty quickly. The pacing really works for the story, after all Haithem and Angelina are on the run and you can almost feel the clock counting down, so I liked that. I liked that you never really knew what was going to happen next, it felt kind of like you needed to keep looking around the corner to see what was coming. These two definitely know how to heat up the page, which is nice, love a little down and dirty in a romance, which also provided some needed down time from the suspense of being on the run. Overall, I liked this book and I would definitely recommend it if you read the first book.

“Did you do everything I asked?”

Avner’s jaw set. “Of course I did.”

“I needed to ask—” I held his gaze tighter than I’d held his shoulder “—because I need you to look at me now, and tell me that if the time comes you’ll do what has to be done.”

He took a breath, then his jaw pulsed.

There were few people close to me I didn’t fully own. Avner might have been my only true friend. The only man with whom I’d argue. We’d argued about this. He’d refused my requests. Avner had the balls for that. Perhaps that’s what made him so crucial.

“Yeah, I’ll do it.”

My spine relaxed a fraction.

“I still say there are too many things that could go wrong, Haithem.”

My gaze drifted to the door once more.

Yes, there were.

Far too many things that could go wrong with this plan. The one contingency I’d never repeated to Angelina. One that could only work if she never suspected. It’d destroy her, but if we ever found ourselves on that road, that terrible one-way road, we’d already be beyond salvation.

Nothing, no part of all the good I could only hope would vindicate our actions, trumped her.

She had to survive me.

If everything went to hell, I could live in hell, as long as she was all right. She’d never forgive me if I had to go through with this. I’d told too many lies already. Even this planning broke the honesty keeping us together after everything I’d done.

But better to be with and not need, then need and be without.

So I planned for the worst.

“Do you have that other thing I asked for?”

“Right here.” Avner patted his breast pocket.

The door opened, and Angelina stepped through. It took work to keep the air in my lungs. She’d never been sexier. Not because she appeared different—I’d love nothing more than to strip that disguise away—it was the way she looked at me.

Angelina looked at me the way a woman does who knew and owned her own self.

She knew and owned me too.

Yet, I couldn’t help the questions clenching my guts—what had it cost to get us here? How much of her innocence had been lost? And how much more was yet to be broken.

Didn’t You Promise is the second book in Amber Bardan’s Bad for You series. It’s a direct continuation from the first book, Didn’t I Warn You, so you really need to read the first book in order to truly understand the relationship between Haithem and Angelina. Of course, calling it a relationship is an understatement when it comes to the passion and intensity that surrounds the two of them. Haithem and Angelina have a twisted history that is based on a chance meeting that eventually lands Angelina on Haithem’s boat in the middle of the ocean. Months have passed since their odd romance began and Haithem is still trying to protect both of them from people trying to stop Haithem from crippling the energy business with an invention that he and his murdered father created.

As sequels go, this one is missing something. It seems that everything that happens this time around drags on in a continuous loop. We have come to expect Haithem to be overbearing and a habitual liar but it’s crazy that Angelina still believes him anyway. He lies to protect her but he never even seems to understand why his lies are hurting her so much. Haithem does everything out of love but he has no idea what it means to be equals in a relationship. Sure, people are literally trying to kill them but Haithem seems to be the real danger to Angelina. That being said, I just didn’t find Didn’t You Promise to be as believable as Didn’t I Warn You. I would have expected more of an evolution from both of them but that doesn’t happen until late in the book. The only evolution that does occur happens between the sheets where things become more pornographic than the first book. Their heat literally burns through the pages. I’m not sure what I expected overall but I hope that the author changes direction in the third book because I feel like this thrill ride is getting a little boring.

This sequel to the previous book “Didn’t I warn you” was ok. It was nice, seeing the MC’s finding their happy ending. Although I have to admit, that I can say after finishing the story, that I could have done without reading this second installment. Book one ended in a good place, with the promise of more to come. It was a pleasure reading it nonetheless, since the author’s writing is really good and the characters AND the plot were quite interesting and complex.

All in all, I rate “Didn’t you promise” with 4 stars and can recommend this duet to all fans of suspense romance. Readers should be 18+.

Didn't You Promise is book 2 in the Bad For You Series, so let me be clear, you MUST read Didn't I Warn You FIRST, otherwise you lose a lot, and it's not quite as powerful. Angelina has disappeared on her family to go on the run with Haithem, as it's not safe to even tell them that she's safe. They are crossing border after border, as they can't stay in one place long enough as his genius prototype is worthy enough to be murdered for, but the media sensation of her disappearance is everywhere. However, she doesn't look at like a big hardship, because she's with Haithem, who is everything to her. And Haithem will do anything to keep her safe, even if it breaks both of their hearts. Amber Bardan has been one of my favorite authors since the first book that I read of hers. Her brilliant writing style has me all kinds of addicted, like I am for my coffee, and I'll never get enough. This story is action packed, while swirling with loud f-bomb worthy twists that kept me on my toes. On the side, the fiery flames of sexy scene goodness nearly melted my kindle, and my drawers were destroyed. Added to all of that awesome, is the angst level that nearly brought me to my knees, as I'm so invested in Angelina and Haithem, that I could physically feel their pain, despite wanting to throat punch him. I LOVE this series, and author, so I'm impatiently waiting for her next masterpiece to wow me, as it's a given now. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“My heart beats like a sparrow trapped in my chest. I lean into him. My body misses this-wants this warmth. Needs touch. Needs affection.”

5 promise filled stars!! In love with Haithem and I don’t care who knows it!

I fell in lust with book one, but I’m not in love with book two!! And after the way book one ended I knew I needed to see what happens next!! I’m in love with Haithem and his dark brooding ways. And don’t get me started on Angelina!!! She’s perfect in every way… yes that sounds so cliche’ but it’s so true!! This book will leave you gasping, screaming and crying!!! And I’m so excited there will be more to the series!!!

Now now ya'll, before you pick this gem up, go get the first book in the series. This can NOT be read as a stand alone!

When we last left Haithem and Angelina, the two were poised to make life altering sacrifices for the greater good. Angelina gave up everything in her former life for Haithem, and now the two circumvent the globe to remain out of the clutches of the men who would kill for what Haithem has in his possession. When Haithem realizes that these men will stop at nothing to prevent him from producing his life's work, he makes the decision to protect Angelina at all costs, even if it means letting her go. Too bad he neglects to let her in on the plan...

DIDN'T YOU PROMISE? Is book 2 in the Bad For You series, the follow up to the exciting and erotic Didn't I Warn You?by Ms. Bardin. I was salivating to get my dirty, kinky paws on this story, as book 1 left at such a pivotal part of the story, and I couldn't wait to find out what Haithem and Angelina would do to protect the technology that Haithem is determined to bring to market. I loved both books, though this one was a completely different story than the first one.

I have a love/hate relationship with these two characters. On the one hand, their obsession with each other borders on all-consuming insanity, but on the other hand, their whirlwind romance really lends itself to the desperate feel they have for one another. I found myself liking Angelina so much more in this book as well, she really came into her own and gained a strength she never had before. I enjoyed the fact that things didn't come easy for this couple – they really had to work for their love and even though it gave me "the feels," they were well worth it in the end! I'm excited that there's going to be a third book in this series featuring Angelina's BFF Emma and Haithem's business partner Avner.

Bottom Line: Giving too much away in a review wouldn't be fair to you, so I'll just say PICK THIS SERIES UP! DIDN'T YOU PROMISE? is a first class erotic romantic suspense for fans of just about any genre! - See more at: http://www.theromancereviews.com/view...

Amber Bardan has made me a reader for life.

Why? Well, she created Haithem, that’s why!

Didn’t You Promise? is the second book of Ms. Bardan’s that I’ve read, the first being Didn’t I Warn You?, which is the first book in the Bad For You Series.

For a series that is Bad For Me, it certainly feels real, real gooood…

Okay, let’s see if I can get my mind unscrambled enough to give a clear and concise review.

What I liked about this book:

I LOVED Haithem and I sort of liked Angelina. Haithem is the sexiest damned stalker I’ve ever read! Yes, he was a stalker there for a bit, but he had his reasons, and his obsession with Angelina was gawt damn hawt. I loved that he was willing to risk his life to bring clean, sustainable energy to the world. I loved that he thought of every contingency, and made sure that, no matter what, Angelina would be safe.

Man, I wish all men were as over-the-top protective as that… without being total possessive assholes, of course.

I loved how the story took me on a journey around the world, and I thoroughly enjoyed how well-traveled I felt while reading Angelina’s POV of India and Malaysia and The Maldives. Man, I really wanted to be there with her—in bed with her sexy ass hunk of dark, brooding man.

I loved, loved, loved how much Haithem loved Angelina. Ms. Bardan did an amazing job writing a depth of emotion into his character that made every obsessive thought and motivation sexier. I really felt his need and devotion to Angelina, and it really pulled me into the story and their plight to be together while the world was trying to tear them apart.

What I didn’t like about this book:

I wasn’t too keen on how EASY Angelina made it for Haithem to apologize for his obsessiveness. Yes, I know, I’m nuts for WANTING him to be possessive but also wanting him to be punished for it. What can I say? I like it when a man fights tooth and nail for his woman!

She should’ve made him walk through fire with sticks of dynamite tied around his neck… instead, after his TV interview where he vaguely mentions her, she is jumping from his skin trying to get to him. Damn, woman, at least make him come crawling to you on all fours, naked… Mmmm… What was I writing about?

Well, all this to say that I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read Emma and Avner’s story in the next Bad For You book!
Amber, can I have that in advance, please?! I’d love to be our beta reader!

At the start of Didn't You Promise with find Haithem and Angelina changing their looks in order to hide in plain sight. With her parents going on world wide media claiming she was kidnapped, because they thought it was the truth. But in truth, Angelina had given up her whole life in order to stay with Haithem, despite his lies and secrets.

So with their disguises in place they start their trek though India, with Haithem leading the way, trying to keep them safe, so they don't suffer the same fate as his parents. Along the way they meet Haithem confident, hacker and security extraordinaire Avner, who gives her a spy worthy watch, with the promise to come to Angelina when ever and where ever she needs him, just by pressing a button on the watch.

So they continue their cloak and dagger journey skipping from country to country, with their end goal in sight, until one night they are attacked and Angelina gets hurt! Which is unacceptable to Haithem, he blames himself because all he can think about is her and keeps messing up! So he betrays her to keep her safe, he just prays that she will forgive him when the truth is finally revealed.

This is the second book in the Bad for you series by Amber Bardan series, now I will admit that I didn't read the first book Didn't I Warn You, which I have to admit was a mistake, because even though you can read it as a stand alone, you really miss out on all of the back story which honestly drove me mad, so I'm going to snap up that first book and re-read the second.

Despite not reading Didn't I Warn You; Didn't You Promise plot was a gripping and thrilling read that give me goosebumps, made me cry! The writing was smooth and I love the way it was written from both points of view. When it came to the characters, I absolutely fell in love with Haithem, Angelina and Avner! I loved all of the characters strength and determination. But I will say that I found Officer Hannah Goodman just a hairs breath away from being creepy!

I give Didn't You Promise a very well deserved 5 stars! I can't wait to start the series all over again

Wow! I thought Didn't I Warn You was amazing, but Didn't You Promise was even better! Ms. Bardan just completely blew any expectations I had out of the water. This was an outstanding read and I can't even tell you how much I loved it!

I loved Angelina before, but I love her even more now! She's become such a strong woman, it was impossible not to admire and respect her. I knew she was strong before, but it was so amazing to see her transformation from the woman she was to the woman she is now. Angelina is one heroine who will make you proud, I know I am very proud of her!

Man, that Haithem is a heartbreaker - I love him but it's not always easy to do. He's such a good man with a great heart, but he will make your heart ache both for him and because of him. Haithem is extremely protective and he will do whatever it takes to make sure Angelina is safe even if it hurts him to do it. I wanted to be mad at him for that, but I could understand where he was coming from and it's so obvious that she is his whole world, so I just couldn't be mad at him. Haithem's not perfect, he makes mistakes, but he's so sweet and pure in his love for Angelina that he completely stole my heart.

Didn't You Promise will stab you in the heart, punch you in the gut, and make you want to cry and cry and cry. It's not an easy book - it will make your heart hurt and pound and ache and it will make you long and yearn for Haithem and Angelina to be together and for everything to be okay. I know I haven't made this seem like a fun book to read and that's because it isn't really, but if it was easy, it would be as good or as special. Every ache, break, and pain is worth it to get to the beautiful, heartwarming, heart-melting ending.

Didn't You Promise was just incredible and I'm so glad that Haithem and Angelina got their happy ending. I'm a little sad that it's over, but I can't wait to see what Ms. Bardan comes up with next!

Didn't You Promise me is the second book in the Bad for you series. I was so eager to get my hands on this book especially after the events of book 1 so when it came time to read it I dived into this book and it was wonderful.

In this book we follow Haithem and Angelina I loved these two together . You could honestly see how much these two cared for each other.I found that Angelina was alot stronger in this book she really came into her own in this book and Haithem was just as mysterious as he was in the first book but at the same time we definitely got to learn more about him in this book. The romance in this book was fantastic I enjoyed every steamy , sexy , emotional moment between these two and Iam so thrilled with were we left them at the end of this book . This book like the first book in this series took a lot of twist and turns. There were some points where I would be like what is going on here? how did this happen lol ? did I miss something ? who is doing x and y ? or did that just happen ? but I enjoyed every minute of this book.Between the steamy hot swoon worthy romance , the beautiful settings and thrilling plot . Amber Bardan has created a very very very!! good story and sequel with Didn't You promise

Didn't You Promise was sexy , thrilling , suspenseful , emotional read .I cannot wait to see what Amber Bardan writes next. If you love all these things in yours books I suggest you pick up a copy.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.

I couldn't wait for this book, I needed to know what happened to Angelina and Haithem. They were running for their lives but at times it seemed as if they were only running. Who was chasing them? When Angelina learned his secrets, some of them anyway, she knew that she could not tell anyone or it would put people she loved in danger. Secrets and lies will destroy a person and both of them will learn the hard way what it will take to maybe win back the others love. Or will the ones after Haithem finally catch him and kill him before he can give the world his prototype? What happens if love, betrayal, denial and heartache comes crashing down on Angelina, will she give up on Haithem? Will there be a happy ending for them?
I loved this story and having both point of views was even better because it helped us see what Haithem was going through too. Looking forward to book three, about Angelina's BFF Emma.

I can't deny it any longer. I am addicted to Amber Bardan's books.

Didn't You Promise kept me on my toes the entire time!

Angelina has given up her identity to be with this guy. I can't say that I blame her though, he sounds tremendously hot! Anyway, through a twist of undesired fate, things are not as they seem.

Haithem and Angelina lead intriguing lives, which Bardan turns into an outstanding series. The book picks up right where Didn't I Warn You left off. As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to have it. The anticipation was too much! This book took me on a rollercoaster through various emotions, and I felt (at many times) I could not get enough! My eyes couldn't read the pages fast enough. I couldn't get my Haithem fix! Until, bam! Another twists leaves you wanting more and more.

Hands down, one of the best books I've read this year! Amber, please hurry up and write another installment in this series! I need more of your writing! Much love, and thanks! ;-)

"Didn't You Promise" by Amber Bardan. So, once again, Ms. Bardan has taken me by surprise. After reading the first book of the series, "Didn't I Warn You", I was thrilled by the intensity of the story and the characters and was anxiously awaiting this book. Well, she's done it again! Ms. Bardan has me wrapped around her little finger when it comes to this series. Our characters - Haithem and Angelina work so well together. He's the type that I really shouldn't like but absolutely love and she is sweet and a touch naive yet her ability to love and the strength of that love is mind blowing. They don't have your typical relationship but, Ms. Bardan works her magic, and, as the reader, I don't care. Together they are perfect - their love is intense and passionate. "Didn't You Promise" is filled with action, secrets, sexy scenes and love. I couldn't put it down and read it anxiously turning each page to see where we would go. Don't miss out on this if you enjoy a bit of mystery with two very sexy characters that live and breath only for each other - but highly recommend you read book one first. First, a disclaimer: I just realized this is a part 2, which explains the “jump in already running” feel and why the relationship was hot and heavy from the start. I’m still posting my review, though, because even without the first book to set things up, I found Didn’t You Promise compelling.

The blurb and cover make it look dark. There’s no question Angelina and Haithem are on the run and in constant danger. Some horrible things happen to them. Still, I’d say that’s the smallest part of the book. Often, we find ourselves pausing within their love nest to treasure the moment.

The book is an answer to every thriller romance or epic love story. This is what happens next, after the fireworks of their first meeting, when they start to work on true commitment.

Despite all the pieces in play that others might consider worthy of the main focus, saving the world with enemies in tight pursuit is little more than a complication and barrier to achieving the love they were born for. This is a co-dependent, obsessive love story. Haithem and Angelina are self-aware and embarrassed about the fact, though, which smooths out the twinges of stalker, and leaves only true love and harsh sacrifices in the name of that love.

Don’t get me wrong…there is action, tragedy, betrayal, forgiveness, and rebirth along with tangible character growth and pain. This is no sappy love that makes everyone else fade away. In many ways, it’s about collateral damage. About the people on the periphery whose lives are changed forever by events they didn’t know were going on.

I made a comment that I wish I could have seen the five scenes before this book begins. I said that because the lust and sex came before I knew the characters enough to feel the depth of their love. The way it starts makes sense now, knowing it’s a second novel, but the wish was more curiosity than dissatisfaction. I didn’t need to see how things began to come to know them.

I quite enjoyed this odd story running beneath an explicit beginning. The book is compelling and encourages the exploration of deep concepts. It teased me with hints of the bigger picture that were so intriguing I kept going in the hopes of understanding the whole. Obviously, had I started with part 1, I might have known more of the set-up, but if so, you’re still left with a tense conflict between the needs of the many and the desires of the few, namely Haithem and Angelina. They don’t make all the right choices, but you’re right there with them when they stumble as well as when they fight to make up for their errors.

It may be odd, but the book grew on me and turned into something quite powerful.

P.S. I received this novel from the publisher in return for an honest review.

WOW!! I loved book 1 and couldn't wait to see where Amber took Angelina and Haithem. Amber blew me away even more in book 2. This book is full of action, suspense, lies, betrayal, heartbreak, and oh so much more. I couldn't put it down until I made it to the last page.

Angelina is growing into this strong as hell woman that is beyond impossible not to admire and love. This book shows all her strength even in the worst of times.

Haithem is one of those men you love no matter what but hate at the same time for some of the things he keeps hidden. He's protective of those he loves and thinks that if he protects them then nothing bad can happen.

Can he realize in time that even when protecting someone you love you can push them away? Will he finally open up and spill all of his secrets?

This book... Didn't You Promise will have you on the edge of your seat, holding a box of tissues, and have your stomach flopping around like a fish out of water.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK/DUET.

Wow!! I mean mind blown, I did not see that ending coming!! This is the second book in the bad for you series and I need to get my hands on the third book ASAP!!!

I’m totally in love with this series, at first I was annoyed with Angelina in the first book as she left everything behind for this man but now after reading the second book I’m totally in love with them both!!

She basically gave up her family and her life for the man she loved but i was so happy when she got back to her family (which I also didn’t see happening) and Haithem made his way back to her in the end, I’m so keen to read the third book and continue reading about their life together. So many emotions in this series and I am in love with it.. Recommend 10000%

Amazing....I can't even think after this one. An amazing conclusion to Haithem and Angel's story. It is absolutely amazing! Everything is tied up in a nice conclusion with a short epilogue. I am looking forward to Avner and Emma's story!
