Sterling is a Navy Seal and a member of the Dixie Wardens MC. He grew up in foster care after his mother abandoned him as an adolescent. He did make strong bonds with his two foster brothers, Cormac & Garrison, which was the only good thing to come out of that foster home. The foster dad was abusive and seemed to physically take it out on the boys. His life experiences have left dark scars on his soul.

Ruthie was in the women’s prison with Sawyer, Silas’ wife, and they watched out for each other and protected each other as best they could. Ruthie also grew up in foster care and had a best friend from the last home she was in. They were best friends and as close as sisters, even went to college together. But when Ruthie ended up pregnant, the guy’s parents forced them to marry. Ruthie’s husband became verbally abusive and then physically abusive, blaming Ruthie for all his problems and everything that went wrong in his life. After a horrific beating, Ruthie ended up killing her husband and spent years in prison.

Ruthie is very upfront about her past, she has no time to build something with anyone who will then turn against her. Sterling likes her forthrightness and while he is that way as well, he still holds some secrets close to his heart.

Ruthie and Sterling do have miscommunications that cause problems in their relationship and with outside relationships. They have to both figure out how to trust other people again and how to be in a trusting relationship. There are ups and downs, but I loved how this book ended.

First off... Lani Lynn Vale needs to stop killing off the characters I want to get to know!!

Sterling - navy SEAL, amateur baseball player, member of The Dixie Wardens, general grump and all-around nice guy (when he wants to be).

Ruthie - spent time as an abused wife, mother to a murdered child, convict for killing her husband. I respected the heck out of this woman!

Both characters knew what it was like to be abandoned and found it hard to trust. But for some reason, they were able to come to rely on each other, adding one more person to their small circle of worthy people. It started with friendship and bloomed into something romantic and beautiful. Nightmares and chilling suspense aside, what they shared was so sweet and sexy. Their shared darkness and search for the light created something truly magical.

Wow, the last two books I have read by this author have been outstanding!

I loved this book so hard. It was sweet and sexy, angst filled, but not over the top. I loved Ruthie, she was such a great character, sweet, but not a doormat. I wanted to strangle Sterling on occasion, but I still loved him. I always love books where the two main characters act like adults when problems come out, you know, actually TALK about stuff, not just fly off the handle and assume the worst. It's a refreshing change of pace!

As always it was nice to get a peek at the other couples from previous books. I wonder if this is the last in the series? I hope not, in any case!

This book gets a 5 star rating from me, and I'll just leave you with this sweet diddy...

"You're mine and I'm yours. We'll make our lives good together. We'll have babies. We'll buy a house. We'll grow old together until we can't see the other's faults. We'll be together forever. And then, when we're done on this earth, we'll leave it together, because I deserve happy, and so do you. We're fucking due, and I fucking love you"

I really almost gave up on this book like 10 times. But, then I wanted to see if he would get his shit together and stop treating her poorly. They had sex, then he gets broody and lets some bar skank hang on him!?!? He just ups and leaves multiple times without a word, then doesn't say a thing when he comes back from a mission. She doesn't even know he is home at one point! Ugh. I get it-he doesn't like sharing but come on. You don't get to treat the person you love like they are less than important because you don't like talking about your feelings. Thats some serious bs. My full review will be on my blog (when I'm not as angry at Sterling)! The Book Disciple

I am finding as this series goes one it’s not as much connected as the other books have been. We miss some of the previous characters and it would be nice if they and their wives were mentioned a little more. It might make the series feel like they are connected.

I enjoyed the story; I wished we had gotten more of Sterling’s baseball stuff and not just at the end.
I would have also liked Ruthie and her father to have had a little more air time.

It was good just not as good as some have been will I keep listening of course.

Again fantastic narration, I am just a fan always.

“Sterling, I’m one &*^@#! up mess.”
“Well, that makes two of us. …Trust me. My &*^@#! up mess could easily complete with your &*^@#! up mess.”

Ruthie was the hopeful, young bride when she entered into what turned out to be a loveless marriage with her husband, Bender. Unbeknownst to Ruthie, Bender had wanted her best friend, Lily, who was in love with his best friend, Dane. Ruthie was nothing more than a means to an end in Bender’s plan to make Lily jealous; a plan that seriously backfired on him when she turned up pregnant and his parents forced him to “do the right thing.” An enormous man, both in stature and in strength, the three-sport college athlete quickly turned his anger at the situation on Ruthie in the form of physical and verbal abuse. One day that abuse went too far, and after sustaining a particularly brutal beating, Ruthie was not only hospitalized but she also lost her baby. She returned home knowing that the abuse would continue. The next time her husband turned fists to her, though, she was ready and shot him in self-defense. Unfortunately, she was charged, prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and served every minute of her ten-year sentence, eight years of which had been spent as Sawyer’s cellmate.

“…with her arms wrapped around me, everything was right in my world.”

Sterling, an active-duty Navy SEAL and a member of the Dixie Wardens MC, was abandoned as an adolescent into the foster care system by his mother. There he met his two foster brothers, Cormac and Garrison, and the three of them managed to survive a hellish experience with their abusive foster father. Sterling enlisted immediately upon turning eighteen, and in his years as a SEAL, he’s seen, been through and survived a lot. All of it, coupled with the abuse he survived in foster care, has marked him deeply, and he’s got his own demons. He met Ruthie at an impromptu Dixie Wardens surprise party in his honor when he returned from a long deployment. He knew immediately that this woman was different, special and someone he definitely wanted to know better.

”Everyone here is so freakin’ mean. … They don’t even know me.”

Ruthie is having a very hard time assimilating into life in Kilgore. To say that she is unwelcome there is putting it mildly; she’s openly scorned, ridiculed and ostracized. She’s always on guard, and she feels very much alone. One of the few bright spots in her existence is her friendship with Sterling. It’s obvious he wants more, but Ruthie is determined not to drag him into the darkness of her life. Sterling is equally determined, though, and just when he finally manages to convince Ruthie to go on a date with him, Uncle Sam, the ultimate cock-blocker for a SEAL, suddenly comes calling. Sterling, under-the-gun to report on base, takes off without saying goodbye to Ruthie for a mission that turns out to be ill conceived and goes completely FUBAR once it’s underway. Ruthie is crushed thinking Sterling stood her up, but once the news breaks that a SEAL team is missing in Iran, that disappointment turns to distress as she, like the rest of the country, is glued to the TV waiting for news.

”… What do you call it when adults go on dates?”
“Foreplay.”

Both of them individually have more baggage than a Samsonite salesman, and together they could fill an entire store with it. But in each other, they find kindred spirits; Ruthie finds someone who makes her feel safe and wanted, and Sterling finds someone who is capable of not only handling his demons, but also chasing them away. As their relationship grows and progresses, they are both slowly unburdening themselves to each other. In the weeks Sterling and his SEAL team were missing, a lot was going on in Kilgore. Ruthie’s situation deteriorated, and someone from Sterling’s past showed up. When he finally returns, though, there is no rest for the weary, new couple as the hits keep coming and the drama and loss they need to wade through grows. Will they be able to stand strong in the face of all of the adversity around them? Will it unite them or tear them apart?

“We can’t see into the future and we can’t change the past. You’ll just have to learn to live with it, and hope you have someone… to see you through.”

I’ve been anxiously awaiting Right To My Wrong and Ruthie’s story since she was introduced in Counter To My Intelligence. As usual, Lani didn’t let me down, and she gave her readers an awesome ending to the fan-favorite Heroes of the Dixie Wardens series with Right To My Wrong. I absolutely adore Vale’s books; her writing style, the types of alpha heroes and smart, sassy heroines in her steamy, suspenseful plots coupled with Vale’s trademark sense of humor are always add up to a sure hit for me. Each month when her latest release hits my Kindle, I know I’m in for a treat. Ms. Vale is an immensely talented writer, and she’s at the top of her game when writing about every-day heroes like police officers, firemen and paramedics, and the evidence of that is in this wildly successful, much beloved series. While I’m sad to see this series come to an end, I am very excited about what lies ahead.

5 hard fought, ferocious, forever smooches for Lani Lynn Vale’s Right to My Wrong!

Finally meet the mysterious Sterling! We've heard his name in previous books but have known he's overseas in the military. When he comes home for a break between opps the MC throws a party for him where he meets our beloved Ruthie. She, as we learned in the last book, was recently released from prison after killing her husband and is still trying her best to deal with the scrutiny and judgement of strangers who have nothing better to do than try to cause her pain. If you know the Dixie Wardens at all, then you know they don't let that crap fly for anyone, let alone a woman they're attracted to. Sterling likes Ruthie right away and for the first time in her life someone stands up for her.
She's spent too long being the "protector" for those she loves and has never felt herself worthy of being protected herself. She's not weak....far from it, it's just that she puts everyone else above herself. Sterling is just the person to be the one to watch out for her. He doesn't judge her past even before he knows exactly what happened. He knows what it's like to have his own actions judged by people who don't know what they're talking about and he's not about to do that to anyone else.
As if they didn't have enough drama to deal with already, there's a piece of each of their pasts that comes encroaching on their present lives and disrupts the peace they're working so hard to find with each other. Long buried feelings are brought back up and demand to be dealt with.
There's not a dull moment in this entire book. Between Ruthie's problems with locals, Sterling's problems overseas, and their mutual problems from their childhoods they just can't catch a break. Be prepared to laugh, worry, be proud, cry,...every emotion you can think of.
Then cry again because this is the LAST Dixie Wardens MC book! Yes, I know there's plenty of other new books and series coming out but I don't care. I can still be upset about the end of this one. I'm going to miss these guys and their families. If you haven't read any of them yet, I suggest starting at the beginning of the series. I think they call these standalones but I don't see how you could read them out of order and not miss out on the bigger picture.
If it has to be the last of the series, at least it went out on such a high!

I really enjoyed this one! What was weird for me was I was a little disappointed in Silas' story (because it didn't address any of the stuff I wanted it to i.e. all the stuff with his exes) but I loved him in this one. Like seriously! I loved how supportive and protective he was of Ruthie without it sliding into some weird "if we were both single we would be together" attraction thing going on (like some authors do...which can be annoying). He was there for Ruthie because he was his wife's best friend. And he genuinely liked her. End of story.

Oops...this isn't a Silas review. Sorry!

I wasn't sure whether I was going to like this one because I thought Ruthie's storyline was going to be too similar to Sawyer's (previous heroine), but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I got sucked into the story and really enjoyed the first half. Towards the end, the drama and pace seemed to slow down and I found myself skimming a bit. And i still had unanswered questions at the end

I know Sterling is going to be a hero that doesn't sit well with everyone. he had some major mood swings going on and I got a bit annoyed by all the hot/cold treatment he was giving Ruthie. What saved him for me is he ALWAYS came back. He didn't know how to do the whole relationship thing and he screwed up (a lot) but I liked how he kept coming back and didn't just give up.

Overall, it was a goodie and I'm glad I read it. Looking forward to the next one!

I didn't realise until I was a few chapters into this boom that I hadn't read Silas's story so I was a little lost I the beginning. I have loved Lani Lane Vale's books since I first picked them up and this one was no exception.

Ruthie just gets out of prison after serving nine years for a crime that was whole heartedly deserved in my opinion. I really liked Ruthie, she had been dealt such a sh!t hand all her life, I loved her strength and determination to make it through anything it threw at her!!

Sterling hasn't had a great upbringing either, my heart broke for both these characters and I instantly loved them both!

Lani Lynn Vale takes me for a ride in the world of the Dixie Wardens every damn time and I hate when the ride is over. There are always plenty of twists and turns in her stories to keep you hanging on to see where she is taking us.

The emotions these books bring out in me are pretty embarrassing, one minute I'm laughing next I'm ugly crying! The characters all have a special place in my heart.

I can't wait to see what we get next from the hot alpha men from the Dixie Wardens and their Kicka$$ ladies!!

Just when you think Lani can't top the awesomeness...BAM! Enter Sterling and Ruthie.

A Navy SEAL war hero and an ex-con? No way will that work. Well...You're wrong. It works. It works SO incredibly well.

Both Sterling and Ruthie have alot to overcome. He has to leave sometimes with out warning and without goodbyes - sometimes for months at a time. She will never believe that shes good enough for the likes of him. He needs someone who wont be tortured by her past or shunned by the only place she has to go. But shes wrong. She is all he needs. Shes all he wants and he will do anything to get it.

This is my confession: Right to my Wrong is SO RIGHT.

A good ending to the Dixie Wardens series! It had two sweet, albeit broken, main characters who when they came together made the most beautiful of matches. There were lots of appearances from some of my favorite Dixie Warden men & their women, some sizzling chemistry & several surprises!

Ruthie... Oh, I felt for this woman so much. I admired her strength & independence. LOVED her relationship with Sawyer! Their banter was hilarious & I looked forward to their every interaction. Her relationship with Mr. Adams was downright adorable. I have to admit that I wish she would've stuck it to Sterling a time or two; especially when he turned off his emotions with a blink of an eye & ignored her, but I was happy she supported him through everything & loved every piece of him.

Sterling... There were a lot of layers to his character. He went from intense to playful to Mr. Sexy Pants to frustrating as hell in 2.5 seconds flat. How he managed to avoid the whole "Naughty Audie" situation, I'll never know... Ruthie must've been playing that VERY HOT first time sex scene with Sterling on repeat in her head or something that next morning. ;) His decision (where his career was concerned) at the very end was actually a tiny bit surprising to me but I loved it. It was different & fun & kept him close to home... most of the time. (The tight pants were definitely a bonus too!)

I really liked Sterling & Ruthie's story but I just wish that it had a little less going on in it. It is great when you get to see your Hero & heroine overcome obstacles but man... the crappy treatment Ruthie received from select townies, Sterling's foster situation, the non-townie trying to harm Ruthie, Sterling's blood relations, Ruthie's blood relations, the Navy SEAL drama, the "teary-eyed" moment... Gah! This couple didn't really get a chance to catch their breath & I really wanted to see them be able to romance it up a bit. (They still are super cute together though.)

I'm sad that this was the last book in the Dixie Wardens series but am very much looking forward to more Lani adventures! :)

The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, secrets, suspense and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading these first:
Lights to My Siren (The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC, #1) - Sebastian & Baylee
Halligan to My Axe (The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC, #2) - Kettle & Adeline
Kevlar to My Vest (The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC, #3) - Trance & Viddy
Keys to My Cuffs (The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC #4) – Loki & Channing
Life To My Flight (The Heroes of The Dixie Wardens MC Book, #5) – Rue & Cleo
Charge To My Line (The Heroes of The Dixie Wardens MC #6) – Torren & Tru
Counter To My Intelligence (The Heroes of The Dixie Wardens MC #7) – Sawyer & Silas

This is Ruthie and Sterling’s story. Ruthie is out of jail after serving time for killing her husband. What the people of the town don’t know is exactly why she killed him. Sterling knows about her serving jail but that does not matter to him. He wants her and is determined to have her. Can he convince her that he is different than the men she knew before him? Sterling goes away on missions that he can’t talk about. When he finally gets a date and does not show he knows that he will have to fight for a second date after the mission. When the mission goes wrong will he even make it back the same as before? With the neighbor’s out to get Ruthie will she have to move in order to get some peace from them? When the threats around Ruthie escalate can Sterling get the club to help him protect what is his? When the threats turn to murder will Ruthie run? Will Sterling be able to get her to believe that people are behind her and love her even after hearing about her past? Can Ruthie believe that Sterling loves her? Or is she just too damaged to believe?

I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I know that I have mentioned before that my husband served in the military so I tend to hold characters who have also in a special place in my heart, as well as the women who stay by their side during their service. Sterling and Ruthie I think may be one of my favorite couples from this series for more than one reason. The first being that Ruthie never once asked Sterling to stop serving his country, even when the separation between them was long, uncertain and sometimes had started with one or both of them acting like assholes before he would leave. Another reason was that Ruthie, who may have been in prison for murdering her abusive husband did what I would hope any woman would do when in that situation, now you have to read the book to get the full story but just know that it will ultimately break your heart. The third reason being that Sterling, while at times screwed up, he stayed true to Ruthie even when you might think he wouldn’t. He is a SEAL, he has gone through and survived things that most people couldn’t even imagine and you know even if it isn’t mentioned has PTSD, my husband has it as well and like Sterling he hasn’t let it take over his life, he’s learned to share more even if it means me chewing his ass out when he shuts down to get him to do it.

Out of all the books in this series, for me this one felt the most realistic when it came to their relationship. It had more problems than most and not always just between them. Both of their pasts have molded who they each are today, events occur than will make you cry, have you angry at how some people truly can be so petty and feel the love of what a true family is. I honestly am falling in love with Ms. Vale’s works again, I had felt separated from them but this one and the previous book has renewed that love and this time I have a feeling it is here to stay!

“Dates are for teenagers,” she answered. I nodded. “And what do you call it when adults go on ‘dates’?” She grinned. “Foreplay.” – Ruthie to Sterling

Lani Lynn Vale knows how to write a kicka$$ MC and even more bada$$ Alphas! I have loved every single one of the Dixie Wardens. Her characters are strong, Alpha men and women and Sterling and Ruthie rank right up there with the rest.

After Ruthie and Sterling meet in Counter to My Intelligence, I knew they would have their own book. Sterling is a highly decorated, active duty Navy Seal, who can come and go on a whim. Ruthie is an ex-con struggling to find her place back in the world. The demons from her past keep her from believing in herself and in others, and after her last relationship ended with her going to prison for 9 years, she has a hard time trusting too. Sterling knows she is special and worth everything he’s feeling, even if she doesn’t believe in herself. Ruthie wants to believe in him and in her feelings for him, but can she handle him up and leaving on a moment’s notice and not hearing from him days on end?

I was hooked on page one and throughout the entire book. I felt my heart breaking for Ruthie as she deals with all the hatefulness from not only her neighbors, but everyone she seems to come into contact with, the exception being the Dixie Wardens. The struggles they both endure are real and I totally related to Ruthie’s concerns and worries with him being gone. I could feel their pain, suffering, sorrow, and finally their love for one another.

I completely enjoyed this book. I highly recommend to read the previous Dixie Warden books before reading this one, otherwise you’ll be lost as a goose.

Okay I loved it, but....

I actually wanted a bit more. I wanted more interaction with the "siblings" and more conversation with their "parents". I liked Sterling and Ruthie, but there was something missing compared to the other couples...not sure what. One other thing I missed....the humor. I usually get a "what" from my hubby because I giggle or laugh out loud during my Sunday morning read. I didn't read any parts out loud to him. Not a complaint, just something that has usually be part of my Lani reading experience.

I would still highly recommend this author. Start with Boomtown and keep on going...you won't be disappointed.

Right To My Wrong
Dixie Wardens MC #8
Lani Lynn Vale
5 plus stars ...

Meeting Ruthie in Counter To My Intelligence was more than a delight and I knew that we would get a story with her in it before Lani ever confirmed this at the end of the book. Ruthie was too good to leave hanging out in the wind and did we get a story … a story that also includes (my favorite parts of these books – all of them) Ruthie’s Secret Thoughts or aka the short little blurb before each chapter. YES! These blurbs alone in all Lani’s books will have you laughing hysterically with your family looking at you like you are crazy.

Sterling and his foster brothers, Cormac and Garrison always came in and bought the same thing before a workout. Ruthie knew the exact time the three beautiful gods would walk into the convenience store. Ruthie felt lucky to have the job and even luckier to have snagged a part time gig at Halligans and Handcuffs. Knowing her best friend Sawyer had something to do with that, being married to Silas as and -- she at those times at least felt like she was worth something unlike what her dead husband Bender had told her. At 32 she knew there wasn’t time to go anywhere in life anymore so she was grateful for what she had. Sterling was also something she couldn’t have. He was too good for her but looking and wishing she could do at least in secret.

Sterling “Kraken” doesn’t know what to do with the beautiful woman Ruthie. He knows she is special but he also knows she thinks she isn’t worthy. The problem isn’t her .. its him. Sterling is a part of the Dixie Wardens yes but he is also a part of and elite team .. seal Team eleven. Finally getting up his courage to ask her out on a date events unfold that keep him from making that date. Time passes and it looks like the chance is lost ….

Tragedy, the past and the dark corners of these two characters mind play a huge role in this story. I was devastated for both characters at different times. This was a very emotional read but also another brilliant read. We get to see how Sawyer and Silas are doing, we hear from Loki, Trance and a few others. Again I warn you though that there were times my soul cracked. Be prepared.

The part about this book that was so real to me was life with a man who comes and goes through no fault of his own and no fault of his chosen “job.” I felt Ruthie’s sorrow, her worry, her pain and her joy. I love the families we get to be a part of in every single one of Lani’s books. I want to sit in Halligans and Handcuffs .. I want to go to the Dixie Wardens Clubhouse … I want it all and that my friend is why this is another 5 star plus story. As I read a movie is created in my head and it seems so real. Bravo once again Ms. Lani …. Bravo!

Make sure you grab up Lani's other series as well ... you cannot go wrong. Sometimes those characters pop up as well in other series and its fantasmic!

I was excited to get Ruthie and Sterling's story after meeting them in Counter to My Intelligence, and while I felt like I had whiplash with Sterling's split personality, I loved being back in Lani Lynn Vale's MC world and her alpha males who get things done.

I can't imagine the pain Ruthie has gone through since her childhood; her life was never easy, and it just got worse when she made the decision to protect herself and kill her husband. She becomes the town pariah, and they take advantage of any chance they can get to show her how they feel about her crime. But nobody truly knows what Ruthie went through and what her husband's abuse cost her, and no one will know except those closest to her because she refuses to bare her soul for a bunch of people who refuse to accept her for who she is not what she’s done.

Sterling is a Navy SEAL, and he's experienced a shitstorm of evil trying to protect the innocent, and he has the physical and mental scars to prove he's done his job. His past is just as awful as Ruthie's, and he's never truly dealt with it because it's not anything he wants to talk about even though it's easy to tell the damage it's done to him.

Both Ruthie and Sterling are fighters, and both have demons that must be worked through if there’s any hope of them being together. Sterling’s broodiness and inability to communicate put a strain on their relationship; there’s fear on both sides because neither can deal with being hurt again…neither will survive another person treating them like shit and using them as a punching bag.

Fighting for themselves and each other is exactly what Ruthie and Sterling need to do in order to deal with their pasts and wade through the fucked up messes they feel they are. Ruthie may not understand what Sterling sees in her because she’s a convicted killer, but what she doesn’t get…what she needs to, to make things work…is that because Sterling is a SEAL…because he’s an honorable and righteous man, he knows how to read people and see through the facades they create, so Sterling absolutely knows who Ruthie truly is…now he just has to show her what he sees.

Right To My Wrong is a suspenseful, sassy, and sexy read with a few twists that I didn’t see coming. I loved Silas and Sawyer’s role in Ruthie and Sterling’s lives, and Lani Lynn Vale continues to prove how important the brotherhood is to these broody bikers. I don’t want to say goodbye to the club members, but I’m excited to begin Vale’s new series, and I’m sure I’ll see these characters again!

I'm struggling with my rating on this one. Mostly because I was not a big fan of Sterling for most of the book. He ignored Ruthie, not just on one occasion, but over and over again without any real reason and it was so annoying. I get that these men end up ignoring their women for their own safety on occasion, but it wasn't even like that for Sterling. He was just being broody, pouting and getting drunk. By the end I liked the guy, but for the first 80% of the book, I wasn't feeling him. The only good thing about him was that he was hot in bed - I liked that domineering quality he had.

Ruthie broke my heart so often. She was treated so poorly by everyone in her neighborhood and I just wanted her to stand up for herself so that they'd stop judging her. True, she killed her husband, but he killed her baby after nearly beating her to death, so what do you expect?

Have your tissues handy in this one. There are a couple incredibly heartbreaking moments. This author loves to write in funerals to the series, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I certainly wasn't prepared.

The suspense is pretty low-key. It's not like the previous books where the H/h are constantly in danger. That was a deviation from the author's previous plots.

Then there's the crazy family relation that's revealed. I mean, seriously? It seemed completely unnecessary to the plot.

Overall, a disappointing end to the series, but the last 10-20% of the book wasn't too bad and held my interest.

I couldn't wait to read Ruthie's story. I loved getting peeks of her in the previous book. She's Sawyer's bestie and they have been through so much together. Ruthie is broken, but I loved that she was so strong and sassy. She isn't looking for love because she doesn't believe that she deserves it. But she so does. And Sterling is just perfect for her. He too has a past that has damaged him. But he sees Ruthie. He will just have to fight for her heart while at the same time going away to serve as a SEAL. His absence is hard for Ruthie wondering if he will come back to her. I so loved these two together. Both healing and learning to let love in. I so enjoyed their story and can't wait to read more in the series.

I give Right to My Wrong 5 hearts!

4* read.
What Ruthie has been through in her life is heartbreaking and as a reader I felt every emotion she did. Sterling was the perfect match for Ruthie, strong and alpha enough to match Ruthie's personality. I loved how they were friends first and they built up the romance side and how at points through the book they were there for the other one through the real hard times. I found myself invested in their story and gripped till the end wondering what would happen next.
So many ups and downs and a real rollercoaster of a read that will have you gripped throughout.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and more!! It took Ruthie a while to figure out just how right she was for Sterling but boy did he work to make her realize it!

Sterling has been intrigued by Ruthie since he met her. Ruthie spent years behind bars for killing her husband, she makes no excuse for what she did and now just wants a quiet life. Sterling knows as he gets closer to Ruthie she is it for him, but he disappears for months at a time can she handle being apart and does she even want to try at another relationship?

This story was one of my favorites in this series thus far. I liked that there were so many layers to Ruthie and Sterling. Heart wrenching in some spots while in others hopeful, another wonderful read from Lani Lynn Vale.

This book reminded me a soap opera. I shit you not. You're in love with your sister. *duh duh dum* And I loved it. I really did. It had so much fun—Sterling and Ruthie were so adorable together—and the action was good too. There were a few frustrating moments I wasn't fan of but fortunately, they didn't ruin my enjoyment of the book at all.
