Timothy Short is a young computer hacker. For him its just a hobby, something to laugh about. Inadvertently he hacks into the UK GCHQ security system and following the Snowden affair they are not amused and throw the book at him. He is tried, convicted and held on remand awaiting sentencing. In prison he meets Harry Savage, a career criminal on a murder charge. Savage engineers their escape and they start new lives with new identities on the Spanish Costa Blanca. There Harry sets Tim to work hacking into offshore bank accounts. They amass a small fortune but ultimately Tim's hacking has deadly consequences.
