'Into His Command' by Angel Payne is book two in the "The Cimarron" Series. This is the story of Brooke Valen and Samsyn Cimarron. I have not yet read book one 'Into His Dark' yet so I did feel this was a standalone book.
Brooke and her family had fled to the island of Arcadia after threats/bounty was put on them. There Brooke met Samsyn and from the very first time she knew she would love him. But him being the Prince, a few years older and his playboy reputation she thought she would love him from afar.
Samsyn felt very strong feelings for Brooke the first time he saw her too. But Samsyn has turned away from believing in real love since he found his parents were cheating left and right on each other. Also to me it didn't see as he grew from a family that really knew what love was so he didn't really learn about love.
But know Brooke is older and Samsyn is giving into his desire for her. Brooke knows this won't last as she knows he never stays with a women and also Samsyn as pretty much said that they can never be. Can Samsyn overcome his loveless pass and see what is right in front of him?
Loved this book and will be trying to find more books by Ms. Payne!

Loved this couple a lot and their story as well!!! The author has created a very interesting world like a tv series and every book each like an episode of it at least that is the way i imagine it..the characters have gotten into the list of my favorite book characters, Brooke is an intelligent woman definitely a minx with temper, she is also brave and very bold for a female character (that is one of the reasons i liked her character) she knows what she wants and goes after it straight away, he was a little hard to get but only Brooke could with the quite unique personality. Samsyn on the other hand is a possessive, strong-head (!!!! a lot), with dominant personality and a little savage some times... "Get this off. Your bra, too. I will have you bare for me, woman. Now." (you see what i mean??)...
They got into the skin of each other from the moments their eyes met... "His adorable, brave little refugee still trembled like a star readying to fall from the heavens. A star." She is his bright star or Starlight and he is her protector, her love... i found their dialogues very sweet and fascinating, as for the sex scenes, they were extremely hot and one of the many highlights in this book.
"I wanted to laugh- but his voice arrested everything in my body. There was a new element in that masculine husk. An ache. No.. a need, Like he was in pain."
I definitely recommend it, i'm certain that you're going to find it as interesting and enjoyable as i did and i'm looking forward to read the next book of the series.

INTO HIS COMMAND by Angel Payne was so good, it's SQUEEL-WORTHY! I have a big grin on my face right now! It felt so good to dive back into this beautiful mystical world that Payne has created. And these characters....GAH! I love them so hard! It's Samsyn Cimarron's turn to get his Happily Ever After and damn it if it didn't come easy at all for him. Brooke Valen, she is our heroine, and she is a little firecracker, that one. The PERFECT match for Syn. Her light to his dark. Her softness to his grit. Her moxie to his calm.
"Her beauty destroyed him. Her love transformed him."
There is an instant connection when Brooke meets Samsyn for the first time. It was not under great circumstances as Brooke and her family was brought to Arcadia for safe haven. She adored from afar while moving up the ranks as a warrior. He admired from afar, because he knew she deserved far better than him. When a mission brings them closer together, there is no stopping the connection between them. They are combustible! They are primal! They are like one! Nothing has changed for Samsyn, or so he thinks. Brooke can have his body, even his mind, but he can't give her his heart. What he didn't know was that he already gave it to her, the minute she stepped off that aircraft years ago.

This is the type of romance that makes you feel all gooey inside. It warms your heart and soul, and brings a smile to your face. The character, primary and secondary alike, were amazing. The storyline was exciting. The sex scenes were explosive and down right naughty! The banter between the two made me laugh. Syn could be harsh at time, so gruff, and Brooke would just come in with her 'hey big guy' and I would just melt! I LOVED it! What an enjoyable read!

This is Brooke and Samsyn’s story.
Brooke and her family are whisked away to the island of Arcadia to avoid terrorist’s that burned down their home. Brooke meets Samsyn and can feel an instant attraction between them.
“This draw he felt toward her...this pull of raw connection, fueled by fires he’d never experienced before. This...need...to get nearer to her, though not in any way that would harm her or frighten her”
We jump ahead six years, Brooke has joined the security team to try and get closer to Samsyn. She has been in love with him since the day she met him. When she is assigned to a mission involving Samsyn they can no longer fight their attraction and finally give into temptation and boy do they ever. Hot Hot Hot.
When they are forced to take their relationship a step further than friends with benefits will they be able to keep their hearts out of it? Brooke continues to try and get into Samsyn’s heart and head, trying to understand the beast underneath. Will she be able to help him?
He’s not your man. He won’t ever be.
Into his command was a thrilling, mysterious, sexual read. These two have such a connection. Brooke was a sassy strong willed woman who went for what she wanted no matter what. Syn always tried to keep her at arm's length, but couldn’t resist her temptations. The sex between these two was off the charts hot. There were also a couple of surprises I didn’t see coming. We do get to see a HEA for them however I feel like I could use a little more from them. I look forward to Shiraz and Nicasia’s story in “Into her fantasies”.

This is book 2 in Angel Payne’s exciting Cimarron Series and wow I LOVED this book. It is hot hot hot. I have a new book boyfriend. I fell in love as well as lust with Samsyn Cimarron, a true alpha, a take no prisoners’ male. From the moment Brooke Valen first set eyes on Syn, she wanted him, despite all she had recently been through.
The lust and attraction sizzling between them is obviously mutual, but Syn continues to be stubborn and although a fierce warrior, refuses to see what is so very obviously in front of him. Brooke on the other hand is not afraid to admit what she has known for years; that she loves SYN.
Forced to marry and rule Arcadia, due to circumstances, Syn and Brooke are helpless to resist the passion that ignites whenever they are together. Throw in unrequited love (didn’t see that coming) and wow what a story line. Can fate be so cruel as to bring these two together, only for duty and honour, to rip them apart?
This may be my favourite book written by Angel Payne to date. I was riveted from the first page to the last. I was so anxious to read that I read this book almost straight through. I couldn’t (and wouldn’t) put it down. I was so invested in Syn and Brooke getting their happily ever after that I just kept saying, just one more chapter.

I read the first book in this series, Into His Dark a while ago. I really liked it and was waiting to read this book. When I first started reading it I had to go back and forth a little bit so I remembered the characters. So it was slow going for me at first, but once I remembered who I was reading about I really got into this book and could not put it down. I think the book can be read as a standalone, but I had read the first in the series and was glad I went back to reread it.
I LOVED both of the main characters. Samsyn is godlike. He's built, he's sexy, he's alpha, he's smart, and most of all he's perfect for Brooke. Brooke is also fit, sexy, strong, and smart. She's not a pushover. As a matter of fact she helps with the country's security.
Brooke first met Samsyn six years earlier when her family took refuge in the country of Arcadia. Samsyn convinced Brooke that she would be safe and that he would guarantee it. They were drawn to each other then, but Brooke was too young and Samsyn himself was only 21. Now 6 years have passed and the attraction has only grown stronger.
When there is a breach in the country's security, Samsyn and Brooke have to work together. The attraction that they've always felt explodes and the two come together.
Syn and Brooke are the perfect team. They like the same things and want the same things. Once Syn works past his trust issues nothing can stop them. A true mating and love story.
All of the brothers in this series are hot. I can't wait to read the next in this sexy series. I give Into His Command 4.5 Stars!

My first thoughts about Into His Dark (The Cimarron Series #1) by Angel Payne were, that it felt like something out ouf a fairytale. A little touch of mystery, a little Beauty and the Beast, adding a touch of Hollywood and all of this in the setting of an island. So yes this is a great summer holiday novel.
The second book in that series confirmed that feeling so I can still keep my thoughts alive here.
Think the opulence of historical romance but its contemporary (even if you sometimes wonder how that can be – given the storyline). Think Wizzard of Oz without the red shoes. Think Phantom of the Opera without the music. Gosh I have so many thoughts swirling in my mind. This is such a different book from others. I would not even know with what kind of novel to compare it.
In any normal case I might have been annoyed with the slow pace and writing style but with this storyline it worked beautifully
Still this book could not capture me in the way that the first one did... but I think this is only due to the fact that by now this magical island became more real.

I enjoyed the second book in the Cimarron Series. Samsyn the hero was definitely a force to be reckoned with. The connection between him and the heroine Brooke dazzled me. Angel Payne has a unique and quirky way with words that I find refreshing in this modern day fairytale. I have fallen in love with the Cimarron Royals and look forward to reading all of their delectably sexy tales!

With the cover of the book, the title, and past enjoyable reading experiences with the author I expected much more BDSM than was given. It was a nice enough book, but definitely not on par from what I've read of this talented author- and I've read quite a few of hers.

Brooke has been in love with Syn since she first arrived on the island and when she is hurt protecting defend the Kingdom he can no longer keep his feelings at bay. Seeing what happened within his own family he wants to keep Brooke at arm’s length, but can he? This is a fast paced action packed read and the sex is off the charts steamy. Great story and wonderful read. Loved it!

Another 5 star read from Angel Payne. Book 2 was so steamy! I loved Brooke and Samsyn's relationship. He was her protector and she knew what she wanted. They were a perfect match and brought each other the light they needed in all of the darkness.

I can't get enough of this series! I knew Syn was going to live up to his name, and Into His Command is a wonderful return to the island of Arcadia with the Cimarron royal family. Prince Samsyn made me swoon, and I wanted to go back to re-read this book as soon as I finished it.
As the commander of Arcadia's military forces, Syn is laser focused on the safety of his people, especially his brother King Evrest and his fiancée Cam who we met in Into His Dark. He doesn't believe he can have a relationship without being unacceptably distracted from his duties, and he lost his positive outlook on love and faithful commitment years ago anyway with the catalyst for it hardening his heart toward love permanently afterward. Into His Command is a wild ride ranging from sensual to frustrating to heart (and panty) melting mixed with a little mystery and danger. I loved both these characters for their fire and obvious connection with each other, and Brooke's humor infused with American references amused me even as it confounded Samsyn from time to time. Familiar faces fill the pages too as we get more of Cam and Ev as well as a few unexpected appearances from one of Angel's other series! I am so looking forward to learning more about Prince Shiraz and Princess Jayd, and after some of his comments in this book, I can't wait to see Shiraz go down like a domino when the right woman knocks him on his butt!

Into His Command is Book Two of Angel Payne’s The Cimarron Series. I loved this book even more than its predecessor, Into His Dark, and I didn’t think that was possible. Angst and action? Ohhhhhh yeah. A massive warrior, commander, and prince, and a beautiful and seemingly delicate though immensely strong and tough American seeking refuge in Arcadia? Wowza.
Brooke Valen is a young woman who has experienced terror in her life, through no fault of her own. She finds herself in seclusion on Arcadia due to a terrorist threat to her family. She becomes a trained Arcadian warrior. She becomes hopelessly in love with the first Arcadian she meets once she lands in Arcadia, Prince Samsyn Cimarron.
Prince Samsyn Cimarron is the second son of Arcadia’s king father. Samsyn, or Syn as he’s called by those close to him, is the commander of the Arcadian military and the head of royal security. He is a man with the burden of familial secrets that force him to deny that love, much less true love, exists.
Will a woman hopelessly in love with a man who doesn’t even believe in love ever find her happy ever after? It is a book with HEA, but the journey to get there is one that you have to read to truly understand how it happens. I loved this story so much that I am struggling to keep from giving more away and sharing my favorite parts.
Brooke and Samsyn are thrown together due to a high security job. Little do they know just how bad it would get. For me, it was bad enough to have me muttering, “No, no, no, this is not happening!” Then, “Oh my God!”
Brooke is one seriously tough cookie. Many women shy away from difficult things. I don’t blame them. However, Brooke is one that takes difficult things and makes them seem like it’s all in a day’s work. I would like to think Brooke and I have a lot in common. She’s definitely one woman that I would stride into a fight with side by side. While I like to protect others, she’s one that I could enjoy a good fight with. Sounds weird, I know. Brooke doesn’t back down and always thinks of others first. My kind of woman.
Samsyn is a very conflicted man. I believe that the heart that he denies that he has causes him to treat and react to Brooke very differently. It isn’t just pure lust that brings him back to her time and again. It truly is his heart. To see what I mean, read the book! There were several times that I wanted to reach in and just knock him upside his head as much as I wanted to hug him. As expected, Samsyn is an alpha male (Gah! I love alpha males!) and is possessive. I love that. No, really, I love that!
I really and thoroughly loved reading Into His Command! It is definitely on my re-read list. This particular book had my heart racing in several different scenes, breaking in a few of them, and finally sighing in contentment. From beginning to end, it was hot, hot, hot! Thank you Angel Payne for another fantastic story!

I actually liked the second book more than the first one in the series. Samsyn was dark and you understand his trust issues. Brooke amazingly stands by his side throughout the book. I love how the series is linked to the WILD Boys series. I had to put the book down a few times frustrated with Samsyn, however, that is one of the reasons this book is so amazing. Samsyn and Brooke drew me so much more into the series than the first book, Into His Dark, with the charachters of Evrest and Cam.
The book is one crazy ride from start to finish and extremely hard to put down unless extremely mad or frustrated with Samsyn and wanting to throw your tablet. This is a book with an HEA and one that is very well earned. I can not wait for the next in the Cimarroon series. This has become one of my favorites written by Angel Payne!

Samsyn Cimmaron has to be the hottest Prince/Warrior I have come across in a while. Brooke is in hiding with her family and one of Arcadia's fierce soldiers who wants nothing more than to serve beside Samsyn and melt under him. These two soldiers must fight hard together to save their King and his future Queen from the radicals who would see them all dead because they don't like the changes coming to Arcadia. All the while they battle against but then give in to their fiery passions.
I loved how this story built up in terms of the relationship between Brooke and Syn as well as the drama unfolding behind the scenes. There is a jaw-dropping encounter with the Royal parents and more surprising encounters after. The ghost from the past is climatic!
I adore this Royal family and will continue to follow their exploits.

Ahhhh! Yet another amazing book by the very talented Angel Payne. I absolutely loved Samsyn and Brooke's story. I love how they were friends first and it took a lot of fight on both of their ends to finally be together. Their connection and chemistry are both unmistakable. I loved all of the danger and excitement this story brought. It definitely had me turning the pages dieing to know what happened next. And the Epilogue was absolutely one of my favorites ever. Thanks for another 5 star read Angel.

Omg it keeps gettinh better anda better. Evrest anda Cam fake their death. His brother Samsyn anda Brooke end up getting married anda become king and queen. God the sex scenes are good. This book keeps me on muy toes for sure. Cant wait to start Into Her Fantasies. Angel always amazes me with every book. This is a must read everyone please read this.

The beginning was good and quite intriguing, and the ending was great...my challenge was the middle 1/3 to dare I say the next 50%....a real struggle for me.
Over complicated plot line and way too many supporting characters, that I began to lose interest in Brooke and Samsyn and just started to look forward to the ending. The author is a talented writer and has a knack for snarky humor and sarcasm, creating banter between the h and H, but for me...this book did not meet its potential. Book 1 set the bar high...it was fantastic!

Story good but issues with the book
I really enjoyed the characters and the story overall. I got into the Cimarron saga after reading the Honor Bound series. I got pulled into the drama of this book but was really disappointed with the issue of the book when chapter 16 and 17 were exactly the same. There is a part of the story line missing and then suddenly you have to pick it back up. I wanted to rate this higher but can't because of the technical problems.

This author is an author I have a high standard for because I know what amazing writing she is capable of. Into His Command didn’t meet my expectations, it exceeded it! This is a beautiful, sexy, emotional, action filled story that will have you on the edge of your seat one minute, so in tune to the story line that you can’t help but wish for not only Brooke and Syn to get their happily ever after, but that all the characters will in the next. I still want to visit this beautifully described island, even if only in my dreams. Please make sure you have read book one, Into His Dark that you read it before starting Into His Command so that you can full appreciate the setting and circumstances that take place in this book.

Which may last as long as it takes me to finish typing this review, ha.
