Was recommended this book by my professor during my degree. The way it transformed my community development practice in real life is astonishing. Great book becoming raising your consciousness in politics and society. It teaches you how to become a critical thinker rather than a decile listener of the capitalist world.

Very helpful for theory and general understanding of global issues. Also very inspiring and idealistic. I'm unsure, however, how helpful it is for preparing for the actual work of community development at a local level.
