I received this book ARC. At first it start off pretty slow, but once you got a couple chapters in it wasn't that bad. I didn't like how Brielle the main female character kept on repeating herself about her fiance but otherwise good read. And I found Brielle and Patrick to be an adorable couple. As for Veronika and Keaton I just wanted to beat them with a bag full a bricks they were both horrible people. Sorry I'm so late with finishing up I had a lot things that needed to be done.

I was really looking forward to reading this book, because the Blurb sounded so interesting. Eventhough I was not looking forward to a reading about a love triangle.

It turns out that there was not much to worry about. I am soo soo sorry and writing a negative comment on a book is never easy for me, because I know how much of his/her heart an author puts into a story.

But this whole plot just did not work out - like at all. I can not go into details because of the spoilers but there was so much wrong for me in the plot and character development that I found myself skipping pages and somewhere in the second half of the book even whole chapters.

My biggest problem was that I could not connect to the characters and I felt eventhough the backgroundstory was well developed the characters themselves were missing depth.

Both men are not what I would have expected from the Blurb (again no spoiler) and Brielle would be better of alone instead of with any of those guys. The plot developed in a way that I can totally not agree with - and I am not talking abou if it has a HEA or not - that is not the question. The question is how the characters end up there.

I am really sorry about this - but from my very personal point of view I can not recommend this book to my friends.

Brielle's fiance Keaton is in a coma and has been for the past two years but she refuses to give up on him. Everyone around her is encouraging her to move on -- but she strongly refuses, so she sits in limbo -- week after week.

Her work life is great, though she was passed over for a promotion she was expecting. She meets Patrick, the man who got the promotion she coveted. He immediately acts like he knows her, and he does, but she has to be reminded with good reason, he no longer resembles the person he used to be. They reminiscence about old times and he plots to get her to date him because he's already half in love (since their school days) with her.

As the story progresses, we slowly discover that sometimes things are not as they appear and Brielle has to decide whether or not it's time to live her life, for her. Just when things are starting to heat up we're thrown a (no surprise) love quadrangle along with another life-changing event that an avid reader can see coming a mile away. The writer is talented so I will read her other book(s), but I only give this story three stars because it followed the formula to a "T."

NOTE: ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

This story is the second in what I am sure is a long line of beautifully written books by Janae Keyes.

The characters are complex and react in realistic ways. This story also deals with real issues like emotional abuse and depression. It does so in a subtle and thoroughly refreshing way.

The love between the main characters Brielle and Patrick is full of raw emotion, longing, and determination to overcome the many obstacles that stand in their way. Brielle is a strong female lead whose courage and drive you can admire while Patrick's kind and caring personality will endear you to him indefinitely!

Secondary characters also shine in this story. You will fall in love with Brielle's best friend April who has her girl's back through all the joy and heartache and who isn't afraid to speak her mind! She's a spitfire that will make you laugh at just the right moments! In contrast, you will be ripping your hair out with frustration over the villain Veronika whose evil intentions shake up the lives of our couple.

I give this story a 5 out of 5 stars because it absolutely deserves it!

Janae Keyes was a new author to me but the blurb really hooked me. I wanted to know how this author would take Brielle on this journey. And I definitely was not let down. It started off a little slow in the beginning but it picks up. When it did, some parts were off the off the charts HOT!

Brielle is dedicated person, whether it be to her work or her fiancé who is in a coma and has been for atleast two years. A tragic accident almost took his life and she doesn't stop continuing to believe he will wake up someday. Her life seems to be working to stop thinking about the "what ifs". She excels at everything she does for he company she works for.

Patrick is the new COO of the company Brielle works for but it also happens to belong to his step father. He recently returned from Germany to the states to work for him. He is extremely generous, thoughtful and good looking to boot.

Brielle is asked to meet with their new COO and discovers that it's "Paddy" from grad school. He was infatuated with her then and even more so now. Brielle is walking on new territory here when it comes to the feelings she is developing for Patrick. They are working a huge project for the company and Brielle has to test her limits.

Can Brielle still hold out faith that Keaton (her comatose fiancé) will wake up? Will Patrick open up to her about he's always felt about her? Will fate bring these two together?

This book had some many page turning things happening! I couldn't put it down once it picked up a few chapters in. Brielle and Patrick truly are a power couple and deserve so much. I was extremely happy for the ending Janae went with. Definite must read!

This was my first book from this author and I really enjoyed this story!!!
Brielle has been with Keaton since she was 16 years old. At 27 she has spent the last 2 years at his hospital bedside, whilst he lay in a coma!!!
Patrick is the new COO at his step-father company, a place where Brielle also works. They knew each other from college, and he has craved her from the very first time they met!!!
Can he show her that her life can move on? Will she give him a chance? With an attraction that is full on buzzing energy, will they give in to it? All these will be answered and a whole lot more!!!
A brilliant story with twists and turns that keep popping up, that you just need to continue reading... To see what happens next!!!
It was a wonderful light read, but with just enough of everything to keep you reading and not wanting to put the book down!!!

This book pulled me in right from the first few pages, and kept me there. Sleepless Fate was written in a very 'real' and 'down-to-earth' manner. I cared about Brielle and Patrick, loved Brielle's fiesty friend, April and a host of family members on both sides. Brielle and Patrick's story had many ups and downs, and had me exclaiming out loud at points when things really went kablooey. All in all, it was a good, solid story. I even read parts of it to my mother, who doesn't like to read as much as she used to, and even SHE was deep into the story as I was reading it to her. That being said, we are both looking forward to reading more by Janae Keyes and I am glad that I picked this one up.

The preview and the cover caught my attention. I believed I caught a nice little gem it was actually a shiny piece of coal. Good plot, but it was executed poorly. If she mentioned the love she felt for Keaton then daydream or dream about how wet Patrick made her one more time I was going to hurl my iPad across the room. It took forever for the story to pick it up so I found myself skipping chapters hoping later it would pick up. Nope! Lacking character development from all characters. Unable to relate to any of the characters and each chapter seemed like it was on repeat. This was not the story for me.

Sleepless Fate

Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg can I say this story was epic? Brielle and Patrick. Omg I was cheering for them from page 1. I loved how this story was written, especially Patrick. Can a man be anymore perfect???
Brielle. I liked her, but at times she irritated me with her waffling between Kenton and Patrick. I get she was engaged to Kenton, but sheesh. Oh I loved April. She was a great friend. Oh and I hated Kenton. He was unlikable. I couldn't even feel sorry for him being in a coma. Too bad he came out of it. Why she put up with him that long baffled me. It's respecting and loving yourself and believing you deserve better. I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Omg!!! Had me on The Edge!!!

This is a freaking awesome book from Janae Keyes and to see that it is her 2nd book. Wow.
Take an anxiety pill before indulging in this one. Had me on the edge.

You have a woman Brielle who is in love with a man who says he love her and wants to give her his all... One dreadful accident leaves him unresponsive for two years. Two years of Brielle being faithful. Indulged in her work, she runs into a blast from the past, my new husband... Paddy. The twists and turns and moments of sitting on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. This story had me riding on an emotional rollercoaster.

This is a freaking must read.

Too Soft. No Edge.

I really give this book 2.5 stars. It was sweet and all. But the characters are too nice and often times stupid. I just couldn't identify and connect with any of the main characters.

It was fate

This was the first book that I read by this author. I was pretty impressed. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the inconsistency in editing. I noticed some typos throughout like missing or incorrect words and errors.
I like the characters, they seemed real. Brielle was a strong, hardworking faithful, and loving woman. I don't know if I would have been able to do what she did for 2 years. Her fiance whom she had been with since highschool was in an accident which led to his being in a coma. Brielle held out hope that he would wake up. However she deserved someone who truly loved her. Patrick had been in love with Brielle since business school, but she had a boyfriend and he was awkward. The two start working together years later and sparks fly. This book was full of passion, deceit, miracles, twists, and turns. I would definitely recommend this book. I look forward to reading more by this author.

OMG grab tissues cause you will need them in this heart wrenching story. It makes you think if this happened to you what you would do? Could you do what Brielle did? Is it ok to move on or do you live hoping for your fiancé to wake up and you watch the world go on without you? If your fiancé woke up would they understand why you did what you did or do you stay for comfort are the questions you will ask yourself while reading this book.

Brielle has been with her fiancé, Keaton who has been lying in a coma for two years since she was a young one. They didn't have a perfect life and where going through a hard time right before the accident occurred. Holy moly I would be pissed if I found out about this and question so much, but could you really get answers when your fiancé is lying in a coma. She has done what most people would not do and remained faithful to him for the two years he has been in a coma. She is just going through life on pause and while her family has been there for her, they really want her to move on and begin her life again since it doesn't look promising for Keaton.

She meets Patrick again through her job, she first met him while in Business school. He always did like her, but she was with Keaton so he backed down. It seems fate had other plans for Brielle. Just when she finally realizes it is ok to move on from Keaton, the world comes crashing again. What do you do when you have a crazy ex that taunts Brielle at every chance she can get and what transpires with Keaton? I wanted to strangle Veronika (evil doesn't not begin to describe this women). I am so glad, Patrick woke up before it was too late cause I wanted to smack the heck out of him. Really, your past does not define you and you almost lost your fate there buddy.

I think I wanted to smack Keaton more though. Really I cannot believe what he says and does to Brielle after all the crap she endured while in their relationship and him being in the coma. My mouth dropped on the beach scene. My how you truly are blind when you think someone is the one and ignore all signs. This story is about fate and makes you think what would you do?

The secondary characters are just as awesome and make this story as well. I would love to see more on her BF, April.

It was okay...

Not sure if this was the author's first book attempt, but it was okay. I liked the characters, especially Brielle's best friend April. I felt little sparks of love between the 2 characters, but their story could have been written a little better.

I would have liked for the author to have taken us back to when they were in college and explained how they met and what about Brielle made Patrick fall in love. Show us some of that chemistry they had and why Brielle wanted to say yes to dating him, but couldn't because of her boyfriend. I wanted more of that history, but the author only gave us a few paragraphs on their college days, but it wasn't sufficient.

Also, the author spent a lot of time telling us how both characters were so attractive and how everyone stopped and stared at Patrick and blah blah... The author overdid it. That time could have been used to build their chemistry. She could have used that time to build up their relationship and give us the reader time to get to know them. To cheer on their relationship.

Ronnie was a useless character to me. Brielle's comatose boyfriend was enough drama. She could have gotten him out of the coma earlier and have him actively pursue Brielle and have Patrick fight to win her love. She seemed so passive to me. After her ex woke up, he was completely written out of the story after 2 short interactions with Brielle.

I would definitely give this author another chance. I'll keep an eye out for more of her books.

I received an arc of this book in return for an honest review.

Brielle has been with Keaton at 16 and has been with him ever since, even though at times the relationship was rocky at best. Now at 27, she is at a cross roads in her life. Keaton has been in a coma for 2 years and Brielle has been at his side the whole time.
Patrick the new COO where Brielle works is a friend from her past in college, but unknown to Brielle, Patrick has always craved and had feelings for Brielle.
Can she move forward in life? Can she let go of her internal emotions that she should remain faithfull to her Fiance? Can she ignore the depth of her feelings for Patrick?
I really enjoyed this story, at first it seemed to be a little slow, but its beautifully witten with all the right amounts of passion, angst, and humour that keeps your turning the pages. The relationship that develops between Brielle and Patrick is simply beautiful, both finding a love they just can't ignore. We learn of Brielle's past relationship with Keaton, and i really did not want her to choose him, Patrick was her true love. Everything turns to tatter when both of their pasts collide, with
a few twists you don't really predict come along and i got pretty worried this couple wouldn't make it, so many things to tear them apart.
Definitely worth a read, is a light and emotional read !

(4 stars)

Sleepless Fate is the story of Brielle Elliott and Patrick Bailey. The two knew each other back in college, but they were never more than friends as Brielle had a boyfriend. A boyfriend who turned into her fiancé... a fiancé that has been in a coma for the past two years!

As the two year anniversary of Keaton's accident arrives, with it looking unlikely he will ever wake up, Brielle's friends and family urge her to move on, and live her life. Determined to stay devoted to him though, Brielle refuses to face a future without him.

That is until she meets her new boss, Patrick Bailey; someone she previously knew as the 100lb heavier, glasses wearing, beard sporting "Paddy" from college. Immediately her body reacts to him in ways her heart and head can't handle and Brielle is torn in how to handle the situation.

When Brielle's decision is made, the path ahead isn't smooth, as relationship issues and both Brielle's and Paddy's pasts do their best to come between them.

This story was a nice little drama, with some romance and angst thrown in. I'd certainly read more from his author and I give Sleepless Fate 4 stars.

Oh man! I loved this book!! If I could hop in and marry Patrick I would do so in a heartbeat; and Brielle, that girl is strong and fierce and I'm pretty sure we would be best friends if she was real. If you're looking for a steamy romance filled with drama and love, and sexy, sexy scenes of passion, THIS is the book you're looking for. I loved this as much as I loved Broken Politics. Janae Keyes- an up and coming romance author you should DEFINITELY check out!

AMAZING

I have never read this author before, but this will not be my last book by her. I Loved this plot, the storyline, everything. I knew the Ex's were going to put a monkey wrench in things. This story was perfect and made me ask myself "What would you do, if it happened to you?" LOVED IT!!!!!!!

Didn't come together

I appreciate that the author took the time to edit this book, however, Something was missing . The story didn't have a good flow. The characters were not likeable. This one wouldn't be on the top of my to read list.

Very predictable.

The writing was good, but the story was too predicable and I was unable to sympathize with the H and h. I actually scanned through most of the book and skipped to the end. Everything happened just as I knew it would. Absolutely no surprises.

I think I fell in love with Patrick myself. The story of Patrick and Brielle is amazing. Fate is something that most people don't believe in. Fate was in this book. Read this book to learn how fate brought Patrick and Brielle together.

Not bad......for me it dragged a lot in the beginning. But once it got rolling it was pretty good. I'd have liked to know what happened with her ex. Some scenes repeated themselves. Not sure if that was intentional or not. But keep up the good work
