It's little bit different, no more side characters involved, rose sisters, may be they are too old, hundred years old, no more cousins n friends, they only appear a quick, and they didn't involve, the story only focus on Riley and Matt. Now another couples, the line is long long queue, I do think all the family at least get one story, Kenna n Paige, Daniel, Marshall n now Cy. The next will be Cade, we still have Miles, Pierce n Ahedm, may be The new owners of cafe too, the cousins of Rose sisters.

My favourite in this series so far. Matt and Riley were awesome. I usually avoid books about politicians, but this time I actually enjoyed all that stuff. And new characters DeAndre and Aniyah were just amazing. They were funny, especially Aniyah, but never ridiculous.

Riley became a Senator to stop a highway from destroying her town.

Matt is a police officer, deep uncover, trying to fight his demons of his past.

Will they find away to stop the bad guys or will evil win.

This book is not one of my favorites of this series. I get it politicians are back stabbing shits, but killing for the highway to become a reality just doesn't seen possible. Again, the romance is unbelievable as always.

2.75 Stars. This book started out exciting and grabbed my attention at first. Initially, I was on-board with the political suspense, but I quickly got bored. There were just one too many attempts on Riley’s life. I liked Riley and Matt together, but not enough to hold my interest. I found myself skipping through chapters just to get to the end.

I guessed it. Riley and Matt were a sexy team. They truly had each other six either naked or clothed. Stopped at nothing to serve and protect each other as well as their town. The covers were great and so were Cy defenses. The one-liners and hidden comic relief was needed to off balance the politics and threats.

Kathleen did the history and orgins of Kentucky justice on the names as well as some landmarks. She made Riley fierce but with a vulnerability that would have not been guest by anyone. Matt blew me away, his secret and his devotion to stand by his woman and for his relationship. Truly an enjoyable read that left me as dead as...... Another one-liner with a toe still in tact. Sorry Lincoln.

Forever Driven is the fourth book in the Forever Bluegrass series (Bluegrass Book #18) by Kathleen Brooks. ‘Bluegrass’ combines romance and suspense, with a touch of Southern charm.
A few years ago a friend recommended this author, and her many series, to me - as she had devoured every book and absolutely loved them, singing the author’s praises from high from the hilltops. So, being an avid reader who loves discovering new authors and enticing reads, I took my friends recommendations seriously, and started amassing Ms. Brooks many books, with the plan to have a huge binge session/buddy read with my friend. But with so many books on my TBR, and new, exciting ones releasing every week, I always seemed to get pulled into other books- as these just kept piling up.
Since part of my yearly reading challenges for the past few years has been to dust off my TBR pile/s and read the books that have been languishing there the longest, I decided to finally dive in and get the series read. While I did ‘enjoy’ the books for the most part- I didn’t fall madly in love with them as my friend promised that I would. But that’s ok, I am really happy that she loves them as much as she does. But for me, they were just an ‘okay’ read.
With plenty of small-town drama, intrigue, angst, chemistry, humour, community, family, friendship, charm, mystery, tension, danger, emotion, and suspense- the stories are about finding love unexpectedly and love conquering all.
The books can all be read as standalones if you wanted, without feeling ‘lost’ or like you are missing big pieces of the picture. This is because each instalment introduces its own ‘couple’- providing plenty of romance, a dash of suspense, and some sweet development to make your heart flutter.
But I have to be honest, I found there were a few issues which detracted from my overall enjoyment of the stories/series. Such as the ‘wordiness’ which really slowed the flow of the storyline at times, as there was such an overwhelming amount of detail which didn’t really ‘add’ to or propel the story in any way, except to perhaps distract from the plot. I love details, normally- but not when there are pages of descriptions, as things tend to ‘bog’ down and the flow/pace/plot gets lost amongst the detritus- and also leads to some ‘wandering’ storylines. There were also many loose ends, for me- threads that were left hanging, or not fully woven into the storyline- which I found a bit frustrating.
I really wanted to love this series as much as my friend did…. but instead, I was left a little disappointed.

I've enjoy every book by Kathleen Brooks! Forever Driven: is no exception!

I love this series (and the Rogue series) immensely! The small town of Keeneston Kentucky is central to each story!. The Davies family and friends along with the quirky townsfolk create a community not to be trifled with!
With a law enforcement relative in virtually every agency, anyone dumb enough to threaten the community will face the collective and formidable citizens of this small town!
Matt and Riley find love while navigating the quagmire of Kentucky state politics! The corrupt politicians chose the wrong person to try to intimidate! Representative Riley Davies and protector State Trooper Matt are driven to overcome all threats to the people of Keeneston and find their HEA!
Well written, fun and suspenseful, this story pulls the reader into the tale and keeps the pages turning! A delightful novel by a talented author well worth your time!

Forever Driven introduces Riley Davies, a woman who will fight to protect her town and her family, no matter the cost. When a political threat puts Keeneston in jeopardy, Riley takes matters into her own hands and runs for office, while the local state trooper, Matt Walz, finds himself caught between protecting her and his feelings for her.
Brooks once again combines romance with suspense, building tension both in the political intrigue surrounding Riley’s campaign and in the relationship between her and Matt. The dynamic between them is electric, with plenty of sparks flying as the two battle against an unseen enemy. The small-town charm and tight-knit community of Keeneston provide a perfect backdrop for this action-packed, romantic story.

WONDERFULLY INTERESTING STORY!!!

As usual Kathleen gave us another great book!!! It was suspenseful and riveting! I love, love, love, that the whole Bluegrass crew shows up and is featured in these stories. The continuity is so nice ... It is like your family is there! I know that probably sounds a little wacky but I have enjoyed every character in these stories and also the adorable town and it's very unique residents! This book was very good with lots of interesting twists and turns! Lots of romance, heat and good friendships! It also has a lot of humor especially how cute "Cy" was as a protective father!!!

Riley and Matt make an excellent team as they both build each other back up after having gone through some difficult times. As a team they face some extreme political dangers and come out better together. With "retired" spy Cy Davies as her father, you know Riley is ready to face down the enemy.

I listened to this series a little out of order and now kind of kick myself for knowing outcomes of characters before they are introduced. Enter Ania and Deondre who we get to fall in love with alongside our favorite families in Keenston.

This one is a bit different than the others in the Bluegrass, Bluegrass Brothers, and Forever Bluegrass series. There weren’t as many appearances of the town folk as you’d expect. They also didn’t get very involved in Riley’s and Matt’s relationship, nor did they have much of a part in the “take down.”

That being said, there’s still plenty of Keeneston’s charm and character in this one. It focuses more on just Riley, Matt, and Riley’s family….OK, her overprotective dad, Cy. There’s political intrigue galore and devious plots all around. The fun continues in Keeneston!

Sexy state trooper??? Yes please!!! Another book that I love from Miss Kathleen, enough suspense and romance to keep the pages flipping and the reader interested until the end. Riley and Matt find each other and deny their feelings, at first, but once they grab onto each other there is no letting go. I really enjoyed this story, I hope you do too. Happy reading!!!!

Riley Davies is a State Representative. Her objective is to protect small towns like Keeneston and family farms like hers. The only thing standing in her way is the politics of money and power. Matt Walz is the state trooper who is in love with Riley. Her hot and cold signals keeps him in a state of confusion, leaving him frustrated.

Loved Rileys story! I can NOT imagine having a protective dad like hers. But in the end, between her dad teaching her how to defend herself, along with Matt being by her side as much as she will allow, she is one of a kind. I've enjoyed all of the Bluegrass series written by Kathleen Brooks. In this one, Riley goes to the Kentucky Legislature as a junior delegate to insure a road does not split Keeneston. A sort of Mr.Smith Goes to Washington type story.

Matt is a KY State Trooper that came to Town a couple years back and Reilly noticed, and Matt notice Reilly. Was it not their time? or Reilly’s protective father? This is another great story from the Community of Keeseton. Enjoy, now on to the next book.

Another great story with our favorite town. Lots of action and fantastic characters in Keeneston. Love the chemistry and the families as another couple finally get together. Riley and Matt were great! Loved it!!

Fun Summer Book

I love all the Bluegrass books. The characters are relatable and fun. This was one of the better storylines, very complete. I love the way the town of Keeneston always rallies around its own. Fun book to read in the summer.

Have read some of the books by Kathleen Brooks and like the characters. BUT there is too much sex, too many graphic sex scenes in this book. Could not finish reading it. Did I miss these in the ones I read or something? Anyway, won't be reading any more in case I can't finish a good plot book.
