Omg!!! Wow! This author just blew my mind. Her writing skills are amazing. This is not just a MC love story but so much more. I wanted to finish this read in one sitting. I could not put it down. I cried and awww'd. My heart was broken and put back together. The hot sexy sex scenes are blazing hottt!!! Dornan is scrumptious.

A MC book, with a strong heroine, great characters and sexy scenes, what's not to love?!
I'm always weary at first to start a new MC book because I never know which way it will go for me. I got to say that Running With the Devil was awesome! I'm so glad I read it. The heroine of the story, Maven, is one badass chick and it was so refreshing to see that in a MC book! I also found a new book boyfriend in Dornan. Love him! He's such a lovable alpha male! The scenes between Dornan and Maven were fantastic! Once I started this book, I didn't want it to end. I can't wait for book 2!!! No, seriously I need to read Skye and Drag's story ASAP!

Wow.….
This was my first book read by author Amelia Oliver and was not disappointed. Honestly wished I would have read your book earlier.
This book was unique and not your typical mc. Everything about it was perfect. The writing. The storyline. The characters. Just perfect.
It had its sexy , edge-of-your-seat, and heart breaking moments. I felt every emotion from the characters.
Maven is a strong willed character. I absolutely loved her and respected her. Being in an mc ,which is a man's world and no less a VP, she did a hell of a job. She is the strongest character I have ever read. She was unapologetic, sexy, and just straight up bad ass.
Dornan. Dornan. Dornan. Every girl's dream. The way he was an alpha but always made Maven feel as an equal was mesmerizing. Everything he did was for her and never thought twice about it. Just a total babe. We need Dornans in this world.
This is a story that will stick with me and definitely my top read.
& The icing on the cake. The playlist. I am a classic rock lover and that just sealed the deal for me with this author. My two favorite things in this world that I can't live without are books and music. And when an author is able to merge that you are instantly on favorites list.

I've been putting this series off for a while now...stupid useless TBR lol!! I finally gave it a chance and thank the book gods I did because Running With The Devil was great!!
I love a good MC book....one of my favorite types of romance. I don't really know what I was expecting but this turned out to be a bit different. I wasn't expecting it to be all about the heroine. Usually in MC based books a woman is not involved in the business side of it but Maven she was acting VP and she was a total badass and I loved her!! She ran the auto repair shop..she went on runs with the other men..she kicked ass and asked names later all while being a beautiful sexy classy ass women.
This was also a classic best friends to lovers book with motorcycles and shootouts in the background lol!! Dornan and Maven have been friends all of their lives but after years he can't hold his feelings back anymore and he goes for it and omg these two together is so explosive *Fanning myself* Dornan..omg Dornan. How to explain this gorgeous, sexy, caring, loving, Bad ass man..sigh!!! His love for Maven had to be the one of the best things Ive ever read..gahhhh!!!

Well I just found me a new author I love. I gobbled this one up in one sitting and I effin' loved it. I'm always a sucker for an MC read and I'm so happy that I stumbled across this gem. Definitely looking forward to the next book in what I know will be a great series. Great job, Amelia Oliver! Now, who do I need to talk to to find me a Dornan Frederickson? *wink

This is the first story I've read of Amelia Oliver's and it definitely will not be the last.
Maven, better known as V is a bad ass biker chick who is the VP of an MC, but is wishing for a simpler civilian lifestyle. She loves her MC and feels loyalty to them, but she's scared of how brutal the lifestyle is. She's dealing with an ex who did nothing but hurt her, and falling in love with someone who would only secure her future in the MC.
Will V let herself fall in love despite the risks? Will being in the MC finally catch up with her? Read this story and find out!

This was extremely well written and kept me turning pages to see what would happen next. So many things happened in this story that I did not see coming at all, but I loved V in all aspects. She was a great character! There were plenty of naughty bits in this story, and they were all hot. There wasn't much repetition in them either which takes some creativity, I'm sure! Most of the side characters were pretty interesting and I'm pumped to read Skye and Drag's story!
Quick read, well written, hot loves scenes, bad ass female MC. What's not to love?

Loved this couple. Maven is a strong heroine and Dornan, he's just damn yummy! I just happened to see some teasers a reader made for the author after reading the series, and I'm glad she did. If it weren't for them I would't have know about these books. I knew from the very first book I was going to be sad when I read that final book and I was right. I love books with multiple characters and this series has it. It a group of friends and family that live in a small town, but in the end the friends are family and throughout the whole series (even though each book is a standalone) they intertwine with love, laughter and tears.

I was provided a free copy for my unbiased review. I've tried a couple of MC romance books but this is the first one I've finished and enjoyed the ride. Maven and Dornan's story introduces you to the Warrior of the Gods MC. Maven is a strong young woman who feels abandoned by blood and holds a grudge against her dad, and Dornan has wanted her for years. Once these two start there's no denying the connection between them. Amelia Oliver weaves an erotic love story through robberies, an angry ex-boyfriend, stories of debts of honor and how much a person will give up for who they love. Of all the themes the last one plays out multiple times in Maven's life. There were plenty of emotions felt through this book and by the second half I didn't want to put it down. The heart strings are tugged for different reasons throughout along with suspense and of course scenes that will make your heart race. Looking forward to more works by this author.

I love MC romances and this is the kind of book that makes me fall in love with the genre. It had everything from strong badass characters to guns and violence to smoking hot steamy scenes. Running with the Devil has the perfect mixture of both leather and lace. The characters had so many layers, they felt so real! You could really relate to what they're feeling or going through. And the way Amelia Oliver describes Dornan! I am literally swooning from everything that he says or does!! If only he could jump out of the pages of this book! I'm definitely looking forward to more of her work!

Maven - I really liked the concept where a female lead can be more than just an "old lady" in a biker world. That was one of the most amazing things about the book. Maven was sweet, got mushy feelings but was also a badass MC. And I loved that she didn't make the same mistakes again.
Dornan - I like that they were friends first. And that he is HOT, sweet and so damn caring. I loved how he respected Maven to be her true self.
Together - They were perfect and bad-ass. And its a thumbs up for me.
Looking forward to reading Amelia Oliver's next book.

Maven, oh Maven how I love your lack of waif ways. Such a strong, independent heroine, she was a leader from start to finish...and beautiful to boot. No wonder Drag wanted in. But alas Mavens heart was destined for another....Dornan.
Dornan, he's watched and waited, and now it's his turn to try win Mavens heart, but secretly I think it was always his, he just didn't know it yet.
A great cast to follow on this series. I'm looking forward to Drag, the bold are always the ones holding back secrets.

Unfortunately, this book was not what I expected 😬
It's a MC romance and the first book in a standalone series.
This book is actually completely different from all the MC stories I've read so far.
The main character is a woman, and yes, she is a member of the club and not just, as it's often the case, an "old lady".
What is also different, too, is how this club makes their money.
Yes, they are outlaw bikers and make their money from running guns, but they don't buy them, they steal them 😳
To be honest, the whole story is a bit strange.
The heroine is described as a smart and intelligent woman, but her behavior is all but intelligent.
Her relationship with her "best friend" Dornan is not normal either.
This whole book and story is like a hodgepodge of various little details that don't add up at all and don't make any sense most of the time.
Even when the story is over.
So no, I didn't like this one and/or the characters 🤷🏻♀️
All of this is of course, just my opinion.

5 of the biggest stars!!! I was hesitate to read a MC book but I read this authors chapter in the "Brothel" book and it was hot so I assumed this would be also. I was CORRECT, this is an MC book but the MC world is out in the background, what's front and center is Maven and Dornan love story. Their love story is so real and mature, there is suspense which made me want to finish the book in quicker to find out what happens. I can say that I really enjoyed this book and am excited to read the following books.

Dornan Did It For Me
There are plenty of MC romances out there. This isn't like most. There were relatable characters and a well developed storyline and of course, plenty of heat.
Dornan and Maven share a special relationship that both would undoubtedly kill for and that kind of passion and devotion hit me right in the feels. I truly felt like I was watching their relationship develop.
Literally felt a rollercoaster of emotions as I read this! From excitement when our heroes find each other to fear for them and sadness for their heartbreak. How many authors can wring real emotion out of readers? I'm looking forward to the next book and much more from Amelia!!!

A 5 STAR MUST READ MC SERIES!!!!!!
I have FINALLY gotten around to reading this series, and let me tell everyone, you HAVE to read it!!! OMG, I love it!! MC books are always one of my favorites, but this series took it to a whole other level! I'm also a huge music fanatic, and as you can guess from the titles of this entire series, music plays a big part in them and each one comes with an awesome playlist, so that definitely made me happy!
I will tell you a little secret, though...I had a friend suggest to me that I should read book 5, Free Bird (Sven and Missy's book, but also Owen, Shine, Jasper, Gwen, and Joseph's story) first, but ONLY part 1 and 2, and then go to beginning of series and read in order, including the novellas, which are 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5, then read part 3 of Free Bird when you get up to it! I am soooo glad I did this because although you don't have to, it definitely helped a lot to know the back story of the parents/grandparents and the MC so that you better understand everyone's relationships and how they all came to be a family!
With that said, this book is about Maven (Owen and Shine's daughter) and Dornan (Sven and Missy's son), 2 kids raised together in this massive MC family and then becoming members themselves. This story took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I never wanted to get off of it! The friends to lovers journey was amazing to read! Maven is a total badass that I fell in love with immediately, while Dornan is a total sexy as fuck alpha that I really fell in love with!! Both of them together were explosive in all the best ways!! The heat level is way up there, and that combined with the drama, twists, and turns throughout kept me enraptured and always wanting more!! I got all the feels from these two and loved their story!! Can't say enough how much I love this series and how much you need all of these amazing people in your life!!!

I've had my eye on this series for a while (the covers are very different and eye catching - not your typical alpha MC male but women) and I'm glad I started it. First time read for me by this author and its really good. Its not the usual MC read due to the fact a woman is in an important position - unheard of - but it was an interesting change. Maven the main female character is very strong, intelligent, sexy but also has vulnerabilities. Dornan the main male character is all around awesome. Together they are perfect. Great characters all around, great story lines and great sex. If it continues this way this is going to be a great series.

I love a good MC book and this story was absolutely incredible. Maven is a strong confident bad ass don't mess with me kinda woman and I LOVE HER! Now when it comes to Dornan, oh my my my Dornan. There is not a single thing about this man that I don't enjoy, hot sexy alpha male? I'm yes please! The chemistry between these two is off the charts and will leave you aching for more. I couldn't put this book down nor did I want to, it flowed beautifully and I can't wait to jump into book 2 of this series. Highly recommend reading this story, you will not be disappointed. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Great ride
This was my first by this author and definitely will not be my last. Loved the characters and the storyline was paced well with drama, action and a little bit of suspense as to what was going to happen next. I cannot wait to start on the next book and catch up with these characters some more.

First time author for me. There were a lot of things I liked about this book and it certainly takes a different approach from so many of the other biker/MC books I've read. It's available on KU and I do plan to read book 2 in the series. It's a story about Dornan/Maven, children born and raised together in the MC environment and have always been best friends. Dornan has always wanted Maven but he has let her live her life because he thinks she's not interested in a romantic relationship. Maven makes some really bad decisions and at first pushes back on the love between the two of them. I definitely consider it erotic because it has a lot of really hot, descriptive sex scenes. No cheating and it's available on KU.
The following may include spoilers for the story .............................................................................................................
Dornan and Maven finally get together and I loved the way Dornan let Maven be so independent. Maven's father is the VP in the club but he's in prison after taking a fall for the club. When her father goes to prison, the club president (Maven's father's best friend) agrees to let Maven sit in the VP chair until a new one is picked. Maven is a participating member of the club and goes on runs with them. She's a technical person and knows a lot about security, etc. She works for the club also keeping their books. So she's a real participating member. Tough but soft also. I really like the core love story between Dornan and Maven. There's suspense, intrigue and a medium level of grit. The Feds get involved and try to get Maven to turn on the club. Dornan says he will do anything to protect Maven and subsequently they both go on the run, leaving the club, their family and their whole life behind to protect Maven and keep her out of prison. They stay gone 6 years. There is a HEA.

The Feds get involved and try to get Maven to turn on the club. Dornan says he will do anything to protect Maven and subsequently they both go on the run, leaving the club, their family and their whole life behind to protect Maven and keep her out of prison. They stay gone 6 years. There is a HEA.

A beautiful debut novel that perfectly combines suspense, plot twists and drama with sweet romance and scorching hot sex scenes, and takes you on a wild journey with two great characters.
Even before reading the book I knew I would love Dornan, but I was honestly surprised how much I loved Maven. She was so strong, independent and levelheaded but also caring and full of love. Even amidst drama and so many unresolved questions, she managed to stay reasonable and keep her feelings under control. Dornan was not a typical character either. Underneath his tattoos and bad boy appearance is a sweet, loving man who has given his heart to just one girl and is patiently waiting for her to notice his unconditional love.
I really enjoyed reading this and I can't wait to read book 2!
