For many years now, people have enjoyed the "soap opera." Soap operas have indeed been considered a prime source of family drama entertainment. They have been structured in episodes and aired via television, on certain days, at certain times, and for certain periods of time.
Down through the years, soap operas have amazingly appeared in forms of written text, with the name being tweaked to "saga." A saga dealt with specific areas of family drama, specific people and their specific problems. All, of course, aimed at highlighting life and its different issues.
Lots of times, especially with Christian character, we don't see ourselves, or our situations, from a "real" standpoint. It's quite comical to witness people who say, "I don't read fiction books--nothing but mess." Yet they watch "fiction" TV-- mega-mess and definitely not all Christian character.
Christian fiction can actually be a teaching tool, especially if we're aiming to live godly lives. Similar to entertainment from television soap operas and written sagas, Real Quill writer, Saundra Kay, has now unearthed a new Inspirational Soap Opera Saga.
