So, yeah. The title is self-explanatory and the story was slightly derivative.
Liana, 28, works as the executive assistant to Jackson, 31, a manwhore-wannabe, who is the CEO of Man Magazine. He needs access to his Trust Fund but to do that, he has to convince his father that he's in a serious relationship. I'll be honest with you. Jackson was a Mimbo. No, seriously. The words that came out of this guy's mouth was deserving of many eye-rolls and several head-shakes. I happily obliged.

Enter Liana, who agrees to fake-date Jackson in exchange for an undisclosed sum of money. Throw in a quick misunderstanding, an even quicker resolution and "The-HEA-End".
**Note to Kendra** There is an error in chapter one, at the birthday party scene when Liana takes a picture with Peter.

2.25 👎🏽stars. I listened to Jen Matzan narrate this story and he did an mediocre job-he used the same voice for most of the characters. Although his performance wasn't good, the storyline and dialogue between the characters was worse. The male protagonist of the story, Jackson Fisher, created a hostile work environment my making sexual advances to his subordinate female employees. The author spent a great deal of the book describing Jackson as a vain man "hooking up" with women who workfor him as well as those who do not. The female protagonist, Liana Turner, is the polar opposite of Jackson. The author conjures an angelic, dog loving, hard working, caring, home body who has been jilted by her lover of 4 years. Twenty-eight year-old Liana agrees to help thirty-one year-old Jackson deceive is father to get his billion dollar inheritance; in exchange, she gets thousands for her mother's medical bills. Although Liana had been Jackson's secretary for 4 years, they had a professional relationship until he offers her the deal of playing his girlfriend, they have sex and fall in love over night. Sorry story. Slow. Dull and boring story. **(2 of 11 ) **completed.

Give it a chance!

At first, the story was moving kind of slow and Jackson was a womanizer. He has sex with models. Hell, they don't even spend the night with him (love them & kick them out kind of man). He wanted to be single but his parents wanted him to settle down before he cans received his inheritance money. Jackson came up with an idea to get the money. His secretary Liana will fit the bill of an perfect wife. Liana was funny! I really like her. As the story move on to the trip to his father place in the country you see another side of him & you see their relationship grow for the better. Lost a star because of the beginning but still a 4 stars.

Good

A very good storyline but the ending was a bit abrupt and too easily resolved. Good character development and backstory.

Cute Book

This was a cute story. The author spent in some places too much time explaining some of the backstory. Otherwise, premise was interesting. Was a quick read.

Ok

This book was just okay. It was predictable and something I have read a thousand times. I did feel any real chemistry between the two main characters.

I never connected with this story. The writing style didn't appeal to me and the premise for the contract was unbelievable. I just couldn't continue reading this story when I have a long "To Read" list calling me away from this unsatisfying book.
