You Ain't The Only One, Trying To Be The Only One

Rate this book
Since the moment Quincy laid eyes on Gia, all he wanted was to protect her. From their initial encounter, it was obvious that life had dealt her an unlucky hand. Knowing that no one else would help her, he proudly took on that responsibility.

During one of his attempts to aide Gia, the two have a falling out, resulting in them parting ways for the moment. Once their issues get resolved a while later, it becomes difficult for the pair to ignore the lingering feelings that they have for one another. Beginning a romantic relationship would be the sensible thing for them to do, but there was one thing standing in their way; Quincy’s wife, Raquel.

Ava is a young woman who knows heartache all too well. After being emotionally damaged from her last relationship, Ava was desperate for love. Sleeping around with any man offering her just a fraction of their heart, she unexpectedly ends up pregnant. Deciding it is for the best that she raises her daughter alone, she completely isolates herself from any man wanting her attention. Especially the ones involved in the streets, like her ex was. That is until she meets Zac.

Although he is everything she was hoping to avoid in a mate, she can’t deny the chemistry the two share. Despite his rugged exterior, Zac has a heart of gold. The last thing he expected after doing a two-year bid was a serious relationship. Meeting Ava changed things for him, though. The two fall for each other but due to Ava’s past pain, she is afraid to completely give all of herself to Zac. Especially after a chance encounter with her baby’s father.

With Quincy and Ava both dealing with their feelings for two different people, there is sure to be a ton of chaos. What they don’t know is that it will be coming from those they think are closest to them. Find out what happens when emotions get out of control, ultimately leading to more conflict than either of them could imagine.

Strange

They all had some strange ways of showing their love to each other. Ava finally started to wake up and I just know she's going to tell Zac that she's pregnant....at least that's what I think. Raquel is evil and Quincy and Gia needs to figure out what they're doing!!

What a page turner!

I find myself searching for the discipline to not immediately dive into part 2 of this series. Finally, a book where the main female characters aren't physically fighting over the male character and it's refreshing that the mistress has a conscience. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and love the fact that it draws attention to the reality of abuse, promiscuity, and many other topics. Ash Ley did a wonderful job at creating a story that draws the reader in with little to no drama as opposed to other novels.

*Reader beware*

Wow!!!

No other words but Wow. This was so good. I was confused bu some things but I've already gotten them cleared up. I really hope Zac and Ava get it together. As for Quincey and Gia... I have no words. I want them to be together but I feel like she deserves better. If he loved her like he said he did he wouldn't have done her that way, period. Off to read part 2. This was amazing by the way!

Great read!

Gia needs to stay away from Quincy he means her no good. All he does is use her because she is young and naive. I love Zac and Ava's relationship in this book. I hope that Isabella's father coming in the picture does not destroy their relationship. For some reason I think that Sean is Racquel's baby daddy.

So much lies & deceit

Quincy wants his cake & eat it too he knew exactly how Gia felt bout him but yet he kept stringing her along. I wish she would she'd stop giving into him & let him go. Can't wait to see how all this plays out for all involved

Q Dog

I knew Quincey was a dog; I just did not think he would go that low with Gia. And Ava's situation wasn't any better. I hope the ladies can find peace in the brewing storms coming their way.

Excellent

Ash Let did a wonderful job! This story is so petty and funny! Zac was my favorite character as he was a stand up man! I feel like Qui cy played on Gias naivete and she was dumb continuing to sleep with a married man! Raquel is a gold digger and her skeletons will come out! Sean I suspect is a full snake and I think he's sleeping with Raquel! Don't start me on Rodney!! I cannot wait to see the fall out in part 2!
