This is a good "Beginner's Book," as the title says. If your goal is to make the basic shapes this is the book for you or your children.
If your looking for something more educational, advanced, or provides spreadsheets outlining the number of pieces of paper you will need for each shape, then read, "Marvelous Modular Origami," by Meenakshi Mukerji.
