LINDA...

I dumped my jerk musician boyfriend at a party for getting with another girl, took off down the beach, and ran feet-first into a heartbroken rock star lying in the sand. The next thing I knew, I was in Jack’s bedroom.

JACK...

When I looked up and saw her in the moonlight, my heart leapt for the first time since my wife’s death. Every reason not to get involved with Linda was obliterated by what I saw in her eyes.

A Second Chance Love Story

Rock star Jackson Parker can have any woman he wants. But after the death of his wife and son he is heartbroken and alone, and wants nothing to do with anyone. That is until Linda Cray stumbles unexpectedly into his world.

On a beach in Santa Barbara, Linda finds Jack alone at night and in need of help. She’s a feisty, strong, independent woman seventeen years his junior with a troubling past of her own.

What happens next neither of them expects. They will love and pull apart, only to love again, staying strong and true to their hearts as they dedicate themselves to each other and the people they love.

The journey is far from conventional.
The obstacles between them many.
Their love enduring.

Wow

I just knew Jackson Parker had an awesome story to tell!! What a wonderful full life! He was such a cool guy and learning the hard way like we all have too! I don't know if I could have been as easy going about Linda for that many years! She drug that out about 25 yrs too long! In my opinion!

I loved Jack and Linda’s story. Jack’s POV was heart wrenching to read. He is complex but easy going. Linda is so angsty I groaned in frustration; why couldn’t she see what was staring her in the face. Encounters with Alan, I was routing for Jack. Before Jacks POV I was screaming because Linda’s story left us hanging.
All those missed years, love prevailed. Lena, well I just didn’t like her at all.
Worth the time to read and will definitely be on my read again list. Looking ahead to read Alans story.

A Great Read!!!

This box set took me on an emotional roller coaster. Just when I thought I had a handle on the situations happening in the book, it threw me for a loop. This series begins from the viewpoint of Linda up until the last book, which is Jacks viewpoint.

Linda is a young, strong, independent girl who is missing the love of her father. She doesn't trust easily and a lot of her choices are based on this. However, when she loves, she loves with passion and care, trying to take care of everyone. Jack is a man living in despair, trying to get his life together. He lives in regret almost always. He loves hard, completely and wholeheartedly. He's just like a typical man (sorry), really slow on the uptake.

These books take you through their journey of life. The good and bad times. There were a few times, during this read, where i couldn't understand the thinking behind certain decisions...and i probably never will....but the chatacters owned their emotions and truths honestly. Even if it was too late.
There is no intentional deception between Jack and Linda. Their personal stories felt honest as can be. You witness love, laughter, distrust, dislike, loyalty, commitment, despair, loss, and a happy ending.

The author was wonderful with character development and an ACTUAL story.....with lots of sex. The only complaint I have is there were to many misspelled words as well as a lot of missing words or incorrect phrases. There were times i needed to insert a word in order to keep sane and move on to the next line.

All in all, a great read. This is the first book I've read from this author and I'm pretty excited to read more.

Whirlwind of harmony

I’m speechless, I’ve stayed in bed all day to read and complete this entire series. It’s beyond fabulously written. It takes you on a rich journey of true love, life’s meaning, the waves of emotion in all forms of relationships, it’s a ride with tears, laughter, anger (and I mean I yelled out loud) good Lord it gives you the feels. These intensely individual and unique characters are so interestingly fit into each other’s lives. Like a super puzzle they are shaped and formed so beautifully into the well crafted books , so intricately designed. Wow! The feelings and emotions run so deep and across such a large amount of time, shared by multiple generations. I just couldn’t put my kindle down. Life is truly about loving, patience ,forgiveness, trust, choices and acceptance. I highly recommend this series. Susan totally hit this one outta the park ! There’s so much history webbed into the storylines, I found myself remembering details of newsfeeds and The Who’s who in history classes. This series makes you reflect on your own life choices, it reminds you what’s truly important in life, & makes you respect the intelligence in Susan’s craft and talents. It’s a ride you won’t regret getting on. Magnificent!

Love this series!

I loved getting to know Jack and Linda's story! Jack's lifetime of right love, wrong time was heartbreaking. Reading about Jack's great loves and how he loved them made me adore him even more. My only issue in the Malzone/Parker books is as the characters age, such as Jack, I worry because I cannot imagine a Malzone/Parker story where one of the beloved characters are no longer in them!

A story spanning decades

This book wasn’t what I was expecting. It at times frustrated me because of the lack of communication between Jack and Linda and I literally wanted to bang their heads together. Their story was decades long and it was actually really good having Jack’s perspective in the last book to have a better understanding of their relationship and his life both before and after he met Linda. It was definitely an interesting story that I liked.

DNF

I got through 20% of the series and I just couldn’t do it. Linda is quite literally the worst character. She’s weak, immature....hands down annoying! You have some fabulous man who is seriously perfect in every way and your stupid a$$ freaks out every two seconds about basically everything. The worst....seriously horrible.

I hate linda

I hated and I mean absolutely hated Linda i wanted to punch her she was so selfish through out the series it was always her way or no way. She didn't deserve Jackson and I think you made him into a sad door mat when he could have been so much more. Saying that I was sucked into the story and couldn't put it down.

Amazing! I loved the love story between Jack and Linda. I'm so happy with the ending for minute I that they would never find their way back to each other. It's an inspiring love story all they through.
