Danni is just your average college girl; enjoying workouts with hot men and old hangouts with her favorite handsome neighbor. But her life is turned upside down when her best friend is found murdered in her home. With the list of suspects rapidly dwindling, will Danni be able to solve the case before the murderer finds her next?
Debra Sue Brice lives in Ohio with her competitive show horses and a kitchen full of desserts. Her fictional characters closely follow the real life adventures of her and her best friends. When not riding, writing, or baking, Debra Sue is a first grade teacher and loves spending time with her family.
Danni is the typical college student, but seems to have a penchant for getting caught up in murder mysteries. The first book in the series involves her finding her roommate murdered. The detective on the case turns out to be a guy she met at the gym and was interested in. She sets about solving the case. The second story takes place on a boat, and the third is about a romantic interest. There is a romantic thread that runs through the novellas that comes to a satisfying ending in the third book. Danni's Mysteries are great Young Adult mysteries that are difficult, but not impossible, to solve. I recommend these novels for teenagers and young adults in your lives.
A good read that would have been even better if it had been a bit longer. As it just felt a bit short on details in places. When her best friend is murdered the question on everyone's lips is "why"? Can Danni find the answer to this question with the help of the detective heartthrob. A good plot and good characters but length would have built up the tension and answered all questions.
Read the second book (free) first, enjoyed it a lot got book one and three. A cute little read, sometimes needs a little more information concerning the killer??
Who says being in college is all fun and games? Running Into Trouble is the first of the Cozy Mystery Murder series by Debra Sue Brice. Fast pasted with twists and turns will keep you guessing until the end.
This is the second novel that I have read by Mrs. Brice and I am definitely still hooked on her work.
What can I say about Danni girl? She is compulsive, realistic, and caring; however, she doesn't know when to leave well enough alone. I worried about her safety throughout the entire novel due to the fact that she always seemed to place herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I am not typically a mystery fan; in fact, this is only the second mystery novel that I have ever read, and I was absolutely hooked- line a sinker. Whether you enjoy mystery novels or not, you will not be disappointed.
