I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.
I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.
After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.
Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.
Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.
One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.
I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!
This book I reviewed has me a little confused on my feelings.
On one hand the story itself is really quite good. I love the plot and the great characters. Jax is super hot and the description of him is just yummy. Intense and oozing control, most of the time. And it is those breaks in control that make this man so steamy.
On the other hand, the author spends an excessive amount of time walking us through every single work out and event that Kat had to work through to hopefully get accepted to the team. While I appreciate and feel the bonding between the teammates, the story became a waiting game to see if anything would ever consummate with Jax.
Throughout the whole book you get mainly the build up and deep attraction but not so much on the physical act of their connection. That doesn't mean to say this isn't a sexy read, but the author dragged it all the way to the end. And for reader looking for the hot engagement, that became a bit frustrating.
Overall, the book is extremely well written but there is a lot of repetition in the paranormal versus human aspect. This book is also extremely detailed in the military action aspect so you really need to want to experience that on a day by day basis. Plus the deception issue Kat is bringing to the table is one you know will backfire on the entire potential relationship.
I'm still a little confused on my feelings about this book. I guess you need to decide for yourself.
When Danger Bites is my 1st novel by Heather Long and it definitely won't be my last! The 1st book in her Bravo Team WOLF series and it's thrilling, intriguing and sexy!

I loved Jax and Kat and can't wait to see the rest of the Marines meet their mates.
I am so stoked about this new series. I adore writing Marines, and wolves. Marrying the two in When Danger Bites was such a thrill for me. I can't wait to share this book with readers!
Stunning! This is a great book that held my attention from beginning to end and had me signing up to follow this author. She has the best of both worlds in paranormal and military romance.
When Kat is assigned to Bravo team to find their secret she has no idea what, if anything, she will find. But just the chance to go through force recon training has her excited. When she has a flat and a handsome guy on a bike stops to help her she doesn't want his help, after all, she isn't some helpless female. When he won't give up and talks her into a compromise she is glad she gave in a bit.
When Jax is on the way back to base from leave and runs into Kat having trouble with a flat his manners won't let him just keep driving. When she gives him a hard time he cannot resist the urge to help even more. So he talks her into a compromise. Little do either of them know they are about to meet in an official capacity.
A woman in special ops is not common, a woman on Bravo Team has never happened. But when the Colonel orders Jax to wash her out it doesn't sit well with him. It's his job to put her through her paces and he will very much enjoy doing that. What he doesn't enjoy is when she meets all the other guys on Bravo and how they react.
Loved this book.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I went into this not quite knowing what to expect despite having some experience reading different authors’ takes on the way they take on shapeshifters. Heather Long’s story however, is a nuanced one, pitting a strong, kickass intelligence officer holding her own in a secret pack of marine wolf-shapeshifters. But because Bravo wolf team is classified—their existence is a result of secret government pacts with several wolf alphas—, Kat Amador’s secret mission will compromise them all and put everything into peril.
Long’s own brand of wolf-shapeshifter mythology is part-Nalini Singh and part-Paige Tyler, a good mixture that subscribes to the wolf pack canon at least, with a lot of attention paid to dominance and submission which is admittedly part of this sub-genre of the paranormal universe which I don’t exactly like but something that seems necessary. It’s very well-written though, with dialogue that very clearly puts across the conflicts on varying levels: military command vs. pack order, a sole human woman needing to find her own footing amongst testosterone laden shapeshifters who are also soldiers and how Jax tries to reconcile his personal desires with how he was meant to make Kat wash out.
Overall though, ‘When Danger bites' is a good read but it’s also one that feels like an ‘establishing’ book, as Long sets up the context, the history and the Marine wolf team out for us, while juggling a pairing that spent most of their time training and trying to ignore the attraction that’s between them. While I liked Jax/Kat’s chemistry as well as the camaraderie between the other soldiers, I couldn’t exactly get into the pairing seeing as so much of the focus lay with Kat trying to keep up with the team while trying to rein in her own growing suspicions about their success.
When it all finally comes out, the conflict and resolution are somewhat blurred lines, with mentions of mating, an unknown, faceless alpha and ‘turning’ a human—all of which felt like teases that were never really elaborated upon, let alone seen materialised. Instead, the ending bit, which was really Kat’s triumph in yet another survival course, felt like a let-down and I couldn’t really tell what would happen with Jax and Kat past their agreement to go ‘steady’. These loose threads curtailed my enjoyment somewhat of what could have been a very solid read, seeing as I would have liked to have seen a greater development of Jax/Kat’s relationship. But it’s something to hope for in the next few books in the series as the other wolves finally settle into their skin.
I reached out for this story because I love shifter romances, and I’ve read so many It is difficult to find one interesting enough to draw my attention. Thankfully, this combination of tough Marines and alpha shifters is a gold mine!
All I can say is be patient, since this story is a bit of a slow burn, but believe me, it’s worth it. I am in a middle of a Team Bravo hangover, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
Review! When Danger Bites (Bravo Team WOLF #1) Heather Long!

When Danger Bites is a thrilling read that bites back! The story starts off with some intrigue that catches readers’ interest and holds them hostage until the very end. The story is fast paced and while there isn’t a whole bunch of shoot ‘em ups or knock down drag out action, the story seems to be full of adrenaline pumping excitement and there is not a dull moment to be found. The story also has a bit of realistic feel because it takes an all too human issue that our women face today – the one about women in combat – and of course the way the wolves ended up in the Bravo Team WOLF unit sounds like something that would definitely happen in real life. And just so you know the intrigue keeps the suspense building throughout the story not only to do with unit but it affects the romantic side of things as well.
Speaking of which, Jax and Kaitlyn are two strong characters that have a chemistry full of electricity and has sparks flying from the pages from the very first meeting. They easily draw readers in and build a connection which has readers dying to know if this couple’s happily ever after will work out. There is quite a bit of emotional turmoil as well as some smokin’ hot passion throughout the story to add depth and a spice to the story.
Heather Long did a great job of creating her military world and made it very lifelike which made it easy for me to picture each and every scene as it played out and her fascinating characters are full of a vibrancy that ensures I get to know the whole Bravo Team WOLF unit, so I can’t wait to read the next book which is due to be released soon.

Ms. Long has combined the best of my favorite genres into one astounding book and I can't get enough! Wolf shifters and military special operators, all the action and suspense, really kickass characters, a very exciting plot, what more could a girl ask for?
Captain Jax Raymond's Bravo Team WOLF is the best of the best, with good reason. It's completely made up of wolf shifters and their military skill complements their paranormal abilities. Their assignments are classified at the highest levels and very few people know their secret, but their success rate and low number of casualties have been noticed.
Enter intelligence analyst, Corporal Kaitlyn Amador. The first female Marine try out to join the team, she has orders to infiltrate the team and uncover the secrets behind the team's extraordinary success. As distasteful as her assignment is, Kat is a Marine through and through and orders are orders.
Having Kat on their team is a double threat to them. As a human, they can't let her find out their secret and as a woman, Jax and his wolf are irresistibly drawn to her and with every passing day, it gets harder to stay away from her. Even though he has orders to wash her out, he is rooting for her to succeed even though it could put the entire team at risk. But Kat doesn't know how to quit and pushes herself every step of the way, excelling at every task and earning the respect of the entire team.
The first book in a series can make or break it and this book has me eagerly anticipating the rest of the series! I enjoyed it because while Ms. Long laid the foundation for more to come, the entire story revolved around the main characters. The attention to every detail, even the most mundane, brought the story to life and the buildup of passion and suspense was worth the wait it took to finally get to the climax. Jax and Kat's struggle with duty and doing the right thing, and even the impact of a relationship between them on their careers was meshed very well with the rest of the story.
Jax was everything you expect a team and pack leader to be - dominant, fair and commanded the respect of his men, but the vulnerability he exhibited with Kat, the conflicting urges to protect her and respect her skills endeared him to me. However, Kat stole the entire show in this story. She was formidable, smart, skilled and very much a match for Jax and his wolf. As a human among shifters, she kept up well with them and was an asset to the team in many ways.
I also enjoyed the camaraderie among the wolves and the cohesion within the team. I really hope that the rest of the team each gets a book because I would love this series to continue. If you have enjoyed Paige Tyler's shifter series, then this is another you definitely will enjoy!

Werewolves in a special military unit, I couldn't resist. I liked the characters and their interactions together and with the rest of the team. I liked seeing the heroine fighting to get better in the very demanding trainings, and the hero trying to resist to the attraction he doesn't understand and goes against the mission he was given. However I was missing explanations on some points and an epilogue.
3.5 stars I liked this military romance. I also liked how heroine stood firm in her ideals, not choosing to give into her hormones over a career she had worked her ass off for. She was tough and determined.
Jasper (Jax), a Marine Captain, is part of a special forces unit, emphasis on special as they're all wolf shifters. When the alphas of the nine packs in the United States asked for volunteers to protect their people by the serving their country, Jax stepped forward. He is the leader of his unit, Bravo Team. After returning to base from a leave spent visiting his family, he comes across a woman, in full dress uniform no less, preparing to change her car's flat tire. The gentleman in him insists on assisting, while the animal inside him in intrigued by her.
Kaitlyn (Kat), a Marine Corporal, though she initially declines, is grateful for Jax's help. Unfortunately, her spare isn't suitable for more than a few minutes drive, which is thankfully the distance to the garage. She agrees to buy Jax lunch while waiting for a replacement tire. As they do, the mutual attraction is obvious, and they're enjoying one another's company. However, there are strict no-fraternization rules, and Jax is leader of the team Kat is about to join. A fact neither are aware of yet.
As an intelligence specialist, Kat is temporarily reassigned to the team led by Jax. Some questions regarding his unit's exemplary record have been raised and it's her duty to investigate. Upon entering the base, Jax is summonned to his CO's office where he is informed he's responsible for signing off on her performance, and if she should fail...Well, let's just say the CO won't be at all disappointed. Heck, he may buy the round of beers afterward.
It quickly becomes apparent it seems as if failing her won't be an option as Kat continually excels at each obstacle thrown her way. Something that makes Jax and his wolf proud because both agree Kat is theirs. As much as Jax already yearns for her, he fears any chance they had is ruined as he now has power over her while she's there, and, regardless of how tough she is, she's human, therefore, her chances of passing are slim.
"Off duty, she would be his Kat, and he’d take his time then to discover what made her purr. On duty, she was Amador, and he’d keep it all business." - Jax
Kat knows failure isn't an option, as evidenced by the direct threat to her career if she were to do so. But Jax calls to her on some many levels.
As Jax takes Kat, and the rest of the team, through training, she continually surprises him, not only by completing each task, but also by steadily improving every time. She's also won the respect of Jax and his unit. They're rooting for her, and have even grown protective of her, though her presence means they train almost doubly so as they can't be true to their natures while she's around, therefore requiring they do so when she's sleeping. But regardless of what she's accomplishing, Jax still has his orders, of which his commander keeps reminding him...Kat must fail.
"Lusting after him on the roadside hadn’t been proper. Lusting after him on base? Dangerous." - Kat
When the commander demands Jax have Kat begin survival training, a week earlier and with less rest than the usual schedule calls for, Jax can't help his irritation and his worry. So much so that he bends, okay, breaks the rules, and observes her the whole, on the off chance he needs to step in. Upon their return to base, Jax's unit is given a rescue mission, Kat included, and his displeasure, covering his concern, is obvious, which hurts Kat. During the mission, the team's secret is revealed. But the main question is, will it now become Kat's secret also, or will plans need to be made?
"She knew too much. He was far too attached." - Jax
Will Jax have to choose between his duty and the woman he's fallen for? Will Kat protect Jax and his unit, even at the cost of her career? How will Jax react upon discovering Kat's secondary purpose for being there? Will it change how he feels for her? Will Jax let her go? Or fight for her, finally understanding she's his mate? Can Kat accept Jax and all that he is? Can they find a way to be together? Is there a HEA for these two?
One-click now and follow along as a wolf shifter and a human overcome the odds, including secrets and their differences, and discover a love meant to be.
On a side note, I find it hilariously ironic that Jax, a wolf shifter, would fall for a woman nicknamed Kat. LMBO. Also, the struggle both have in regards to the situation was very well written. I found the premise of this story intriguing and look forward to the next book. Safety information - no ow/om drama, a little pushing away on both parts, and I don't recall any references to past sexual histories. If there were, they weren't at all specific, just more of an overall mention.

For lovers of military romances and werewolf romances, the new Bravo Team Wolf series by Heather Long can only be interesting. With this first volume I’d say that begins quite well, even if I thought there are at the same time enough details on some points and not enough on others.
We meet the Bravo team’s members who are all werewolves coming from the different packs of the country. They have an exceptional success rate in their missions, which begins to raise interrogations in different Army corps and Intelligence services. The heroine is sent to discover their secret under the guise of being the first woman trying to be incorporated to the team.
Jax, the hero, is the team’s captain. He got this post through his dominance on the other members. There are by the way a lot of references to the dominance relations in the team, reminding they are werewolves before being Marines. Jax is dominant without being overbearing, he’s honest and dedicated to his pack and his team. He’s immediately attracted to the heroine, but he tries to resist because his commanding officer tasked him with washing her out to protect the unit’s secret. I must say he does a bad job of resisting and of washing out. I liked that there’s no notion of predestination in this novel.
Kaitlyn is an intelligence specialist especially gifted and who has a lot of willpower. From the start she finds difficult to spy on the team, and it bothers her more and more as she learns to know them. She’s also attracted to the hero very wickly, but she tries to resist in order to respect the no fraternization clause in the Marines. She also has a capacity to adapt to the trainings quite surprising for someone who’s most often behind a desk, even if the author makes sure to talk about pains and sore muscles.
I really liked seeing the interactions between Jax and his unit, and also between the unit and Kat, and how she finally gains everybody’s respect. However to get there we spend a lot of time following almost as if we were there the diverse training, and if I lost track of time I must warn that we have less time with the couple development strictly speaking.
I thought too bad not to have more explanations on the unit creation, we know it was done to protect the packs from being attacked by humans but I would have liked more how and why. I also found the ending and the couple resolution a bit rushed, as if n epilogue was missing. However the action scenes are well described and grabbing.
All in all I wasn’t completely convinced by this first volume but it introduces the series in a sufficiently interesting way for me to want to read the rest.
What happens when you make a hunky team of werewolves into Marines? Hotness overload! When Danger Bites is military paranormal romantic suspense at its finest. I look forward to seeing where this series takes us. In this story we meet Bravo Team WOLF who come under suspicion because they seem to be too good at their missions. A classified unit Bravo Team WOLF is made up of werewolves from various packs and they are very good at what they do. Military intelligence specialist Corporal Kaitlyn Amador is human and assigned as the first woman in the Marines to be assigned to a recon team to Bravo Team WOLF. She has also been assigned to find out the secret to their success. I LOVE Kat. She is squared away and a total Marine. She is determined to succeed. Can she help it if Marine Captain Jax Raymond is the hottest thing she has ever seen? The attraction between them is incendiary. The fact that he is her Captain and she a corporal should put the kybosh on them acting upon their attraction. The fact that they each have secrets should put the kybosh on them acting upon their attraction. But oh when they finally give in it is explosive and very well may cost them both their careers. This book grabbed me from the first page until the last and I didn’t want to go. I received an advanced copy of this book and chose to review it. I also bought a copy.

When Danger Bites by Heather Long is part of the author's new Bravo Team WOLF series. I've read some of the author's previous shifter series a few years ago and I have to say I pleasantly surprised by how good this book was. I especially love how Kaitlyn is written as a kick arse Marine wanting to be accepted by the team of wolves.
Being a Marine is part of Kaitlyn Amador's life as she's a daughter of her father who is a career officer. But when her current boss asks her to spy on Brave Team Wolf, she reluctantly agrees because she knows if she doesn't he'll find a way to end her career quickly in the Marines. When the team goes on a hostage rescue she'll be shocked when she finds out why the team is always successful at what they do best; hostage rescue and retrieval. But will she keep their secret or tell the CIA and her boss?
Captain Jax Raymond's team is very good at what they do and the top brass is now wanting to find out how they are always so successful. But when his CO tells him that he must wash Kaitlyn out of the team who immediately accept Kat as one of their own even though she's human. Will he follow orders or will he give into the attraction that they both feel when Kat is injured on the final test? When yet another group of hostages are taken by the enemy so quickly after their previous rescue, he knows that something is wrong. When he tell Kat the team's secret and reveal why they are so good? He knows that she can pass the test but will she make the decision to stay or go before his team does?
The story is a very good one and even though I haven't read very many paranormal/shifter books recently I'd give the book 4.9 stars and look forward to the next book.
When Danger Bites is book 1 in a new series. As with most first books, there’s a lot of set up of the story, the characters and the setting. Unfortunately, Ms. Long, got mired down in the details quite a bit in When Danger Bites and the story line dragged quite a bit for me.
I did really like the main characters. Jax with his alpha tendencies. Super hot, in control, broody, oozing sex appeal. Coupled with his wolf and the rest of the Bravo Team, I knew I was in for some serious sexual tension and intensity. Add in Kaitlyn and her “never give up” attitude—she’s a Marine after all—and I could feel the heat of their desire for each other through my Kindle. But it took a LONG time to get to that point.
This is where Ms. Long got hung up. We were walked through every work out, every thing that Kat had to deal with. Every decision. Every emotion. Every comparison that Kat was human while the Bravo Team was not. I get it. It’s a paranormal book—shifters, not human.
While I did enjoy the teambuilding aspect, this level of detail didn’t move the story along. I’m hoping book 2 in the series will be better now that the background of the group is established—I’m very intrigued by some of the men on the Bravo Team and would love to read their stories. ~ Missy, 3 stars
When Danger Bites shows you that even the shadowy part of the government want a piece of the action when they learn the existence of shifters. to keep their pack safe from annihilation a band of wolves must join the services. Captain Jax Raymond’s special Force Recon unit, is known as one of the best. Now the MIS wants to know their secrets. So, they send in MIS Corporal Kaitlyn “Kat” Amador to infiltrate the Force Recon unit to uncover the mystery of why Bravo Team is so successful. Romance took a back seat in the 1st title in Bravo Team Wolf. All focus was on building the back story of this elite band of men. Which was totally okay, because without a backstory this series will never take off. Not to say that there wasn’t chemistry between Jax and Kaitlyn. That is what made this storyline work because normally I would complain that there wasn’t enough romance and that is what this genre is about…. Right! But the slow building of their growing attraction made it seemed somehow more real, than having them confess their love from the beginning. Initially it was Jax training Kat to become part of the TEAM, but it really turns out it was Kat teaching Jax that not all women need a rough bunch of men to protect them. All in all, I liked When Danger Bites and looking forward to see where this series is heading. I would recommend this book to readers whose into shifter, and military romance.
Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review
I loved this book! Yet another series to suck me in by Heather Long! Wolves and Marines! Oorah! Although a standalone, we meet a group of alpha males that I cannot wait to see meet their mates. The camaraderie between the team made me laugh and the fact that although from different packs, the wolves all work together, and the nuances therein, made for good reading.
Jax was strong, hardheaded, but a good male. He was a good match for Kat, who I loved because she was strong, but still feminine. The quandaries they both faced separately were very well written, I could feel their confusion and distress and kept me wondering how they'd resolve them. And I was pleased with how they did.
Only problem is that I now have to wait to hang out with Bravo team again. Looking forward to reading about Kurt and his Tabitha, Silver, Cage and the rest of them. Thanks Heather for the start of another great series!
This is the first book I've ever read by Heather Long. I loved the cover and when I saw her publisher offering it as arc read I decided to try it. At the time I know no idea what it was about, I only knew I liked the cover.
I've done this before and it's not always for the best. Not all books are as good as their covers. Sometimes you have to ask yourself why you picked it.
Thankfully that wasn't the case with When Danger Bites. I happen to have really enjoyed it.
I totally loved Jax. He was written so well. I found him loyal, sexy, tough and sweet all at the same time. A great character. I also enjoyed Kaitlyn just not as much. What can I say, I loved me some Jax!
The happy part of this book is that it was very well written and enjoyable. I liked the story very much and read it pretty quickly. What got a little tiring at times was how much information the author gave you about everything they did. Sometimes it was just too much. We didn't need all the description to understand what they were doing.
Even with that I enjoyed the story enough to read the second one in the series. So that has to tell you something.
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from IndieSage PR*
This was great. It's my second story that involves shifters working for the military, but because they're a big government secret, things are far more complicated. Jax and Kaitlyn played their parts out well. I loved seeing her meet and exceed the expectations in the training, striving and managing to do beyond her best among the shifters. The writing style was great as well. It took a few chapters for me to get into the pacing but once I did, I was hooked. I loved how it especially flowed in the end, loved the guys, and I just don't know how to explain what I loved except that the author really built on the angst and struggle between morality and duty, played up the romantic connection well, and told a great tale. I'd definitely read more of this series or the author.
I love how Heather long mixed romance, action, drama and humor!!! As always she gave us a stunning array of characters. We have Jax, Captain, Marine and above all an alpha wolf. He is all what an alpha wolf should be: strong, protective and honest. A little bit overwhelming in his relationship with Kat, buts it comes with the territory and being alpha. And then we have Kat, strong, steady, persistent, level headed. If there is something, I admire about Ms. Long is her female main characters..they are stunning, strong characters that I really love. This is a fabulous first book for a series and I can't wait for the installment.
I've read a few series about werewolf or shifter Black Ops groups, but Bravo Team Wolf is the first one I've seen to feature active military. The political and chain of command elements gives When Danger Bites a slightly different feel from anything else I've read.
For most of the story, the obstacles to Kat and Jax's relationship are orders and regulations. When they do encounter an actual villain it wraps up quickly, and I felt like a little too neatly. But I found the intense romance story compelling all by itself. It kept me riveted! However, I felt like the ending was a bit cheesy and cute given the intensity of the rest of the story.
I enjoyed When Danger Bites even more than I thought I would (though I still think the title is silly.) I'm looking forward to more stories about Bravo Team, especially Silver who's my favorite so far. And without being too spoilery, we're going to need an update on Kat and Jax in the next book.

When Danger Bites has two of my favourite things Marines and Wolves. A great start to a series I loved concept and the character dynamics. I look forward to reading more of this series.
2.5 stars because it wasn't great but it wasn't horrible...it just was...
I'm kinda torn on this. I liked the MC's and the supporting characters but I scanned a lot because a lot of it was primarily military talk. I'm not military so a lot of what was going on went over my head. I respected the strength that the heroine displayed and I liked that the H and his team were repeatedly impressed by her skill.
BUT....it was really lacking in the romance department. The MC's met before they realized who each other were and once they realized the romance had to be put on the back burner. The problem is that it stayed on the back burner for almost 85%.
Finally...the other item that kept the rating low was the ending. The secret is revealed, he gets the ok to mate and turn her, she wants time to think about mating and being turned (completely understandable), she completes the field test, she agrees to date...THE END. That's it. Nothing more...
Overall, I just needed more. Like I said, I liked the characters but that like wasn't enough to stop me from scanning frequently just so I could get to the end.
Now all of that being said...will I continue with the series. I don't know.
I'm always in the mood for a great paranormal romance , so I was excited to read When danger bites. I really liked Jax and Kaitlyn. Both were strong willed well written characters and the storyline center on two equally stubborn as well as determined leads piqued my interest. I liked how Kaitlyn took every challenge head on because she was no ones wilting 🥀 flower. My only issue was how the story seemed to drag on a little. Jax and Kaitlyn danced around each for a little longer than I would have liked. Overall It was a good read with great detailed descriptions that made the story that much more enjoyable and I give it 3.5 stars
Heather Long has an amazing way of combining the wolf pack with military. Kat who is serving in the military is sent in undercover to find out the secret of The BRAVO unit. She is not prepared for what secret they are hiring nor is she expecting the attraction she feels for Jax. Jax is ready to make sure the incoming female will fail the training. But his wolf is not having any of that. Love watching Kat interact with the other men in the unit as she slowly wins them over one by one. A fun read!
