IT'S LIVE!

I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about a rocker storyline. Unfortunately they rarely work for me because of the way they are often portrayed as manwhores. I was so happy that was not the case with this book!
Levi was the lead singer of Stone Butterfly- sexy, charming and charismatic. Not portrayed as a manwhore but he hadn't been in many relationships because of his job. Thankfully we didn't see any other women or even have to endure any details of groupies etc. I really loved his character, even though he was human and made mistakes.
Brooklynn was a tougher nut to crack for me. To be completely honest, I spent most of the book on the fence about my feelings for her character. I was disappointed at first because of the amount of pushing away she did. I kept wondering when it was going to turn around. The answer is- 50%. Then we see a different side of her and she moved into the "she's ok" category for me. Now, this is just me. I'm often harder on heroines and I hate excessively long pushing away. So, she might totally work for others!
-no cheating - although it's never said outright that he was celibate after meeting her, it's sorta implied.
-no ow/om drama whatsoever
-major pushing away-the entire first half of the book which made the first half feel very long to me.
-secondary characters were pretty good. I'm curious how their stories will pan out. I'm not so sure about two of the secondary characters but we will see
-lackluster epilogue - I'm that epilogue whore who needs them whether it's a series or not.
All that being said, the second half of the book picked up for me and I enjoyed it. It had suspence, sweet and steamy love and it didn't have cheating. I wanted to shake both characters but they pulled it out. Levi made the story!

Levi Matthews is the lead singer of Stone Butterfly. One of the back up singers will be out for maternity leave and they need a new back up signer ASAP.
Brooklynn Hawk, a well known back up signer, agrees to travel on tour with the band for 3 months. The attraction is instant but Levi will find she's not going to just fall at his feet. Brooklynn resists Levi's charm even though she feels the same attraction he does. She's had a rough childhood and isn't willing to risk her career by getting involved with Levi while working with the band. What started out as a temporary gig, turns into so much more and Brooklynn must decide if she can keep Levi at arms length or take a chance and truly live.
This has to be one of the sweetest versions of a rocker romance I've read. The way Levi pursued Brooklynn was incredibly sweet. Levi è una famosa Rockstar, sembra un ragazzo irraggiungibile, bello e dannato, ma in realtà ha un cuore tenero, è generoso, protettivo verso la sua band, rispetta il manager e prova affetto sincero verso tutti i componenti del gruppo. Brooklynn ha il dono di una voce potente e meravigliosa, ha un'audizione con gli Stone Butterfly e grazie al suo talento diventa la loro cantante. Da subito scatta la scintilla col frontman della band, Levi, e inizia una bellissima storia d'amore. Brooklynn ha una ragione per cui non ama viaggiare, il suo intento è restare più vicina possibile a sua sorella minore, con la quale condivide un triste passato. Tanti colpi di scena che non ti aspetti. Ho fatto diverse ipotesi ma l'autrice è stata brava nel depistarmi. Una proposta non proprio originale, sul finire del libro, ma che mi è piaciuta, soprattutto perché Levi l'ha resa romantica e divertente al contempo, citando il contratto musicale che le aveva fatto firmare in precedenza, nel quale aveva, in modo subdolo, aggiunto alcune clausole "personali" che mi hanno fatto sorridere.

****5 ROCK stars****
I love music and I love when I get to see it be a big part of books. It is like a two-for-one sale for me. What I have struggled to find with heavily involved musicians in books is accuracy, but I am so happy to say that I have found that in Another Postcard. Christensen’s knowledge/research have gone above and beyond for this book. Although this is just one of the MANY reasons why I loved the book, it had to be the first mentioned because not once did I roll my eyes or cringe from wrong terminology/slang.
There is nothing more passionate then figuring out a riff, nailing a solo, or coming together as one with music. The energy these characters gave off was palpable through my screen. I felt their excitement, passion, and comradery as if I was right there with them. It is the same energy you get when listening to your favorite “pump up song.” It is like seeing your favorite band live for the first time. Nothing compares.
Levi. Well, lead singers have never been my thing but this guy is sweet, smooth, and sexy on and off the stage. To me, he is the heart and soul of the band though everyone has their place. His persistence with Brooklynn made me smile and giggle often in the beginning. His passion and love for her after “catching” her is what did me in.
Brooklynn is one of those characters that you hope you could rise to be if put in her family situation. The woman is tough as nails and an inspiration. Her resilience towards Levi in the beginning is nothing short of honorary. It is always so beautiful and satisfying to see someone like her break down the walls and let someone in because she is someone who needs it the most.
This book will take you on one rockin’ adventure with tempo changes that will lead you to an amazing build up and climax. This is a book you don’t want to miss out on!

When coming across this book on Netgalley I was immediately intrigued. I'm a sucker for romance and rockstar romance in particular is an element I always enjoy immensely. So I didn't hesitate a second when requesting this book. The publisher was so kind to approve the book and sent it to me and I'm very thankful. I'm soooo happy this book held up to it's expectations and didn't disappoint me. Let me tell you more about this incredible rockstar romance by Elle Christensen..
STORY-LINE.
Brooklynn is one of the most sought after back up singers in the industry. When Stone Butterfly is looking for a new one she can’t pass up the opportunity to try out. Right from the start the band is enamored with Brooklynn's singing capability and she's over the moon happy they want her to be a part of their band for the time being. She knows that it is a bad idea to get involved with a band mate even if this is a temporary gig, but the immediate attraction between her and Levi, the lead singer, is extremely intense and hard to ignore. But she's determined to not give in when he keeps asking her out on a date. But the more she pushes him away, the more she finds herself drawn to him and keeping him at a distance becomes nearly impossible. Can the two of them find a way to a lasting relationship or will all of Brooklynn’s fears push her to run away? A story about finding an unexpected love that's so real it shakes you to the bone, dealing with trauma's from the past which are coming back to haunt in the present and demand for the characters to grow
CHARACTERS.
Damn, did Elle write some amazing characters in this book. Levi, the lead singer of Stone Butterfly will melt your heart and set it on fire.. He's down to earth which I really loved given the fact he's one of the most well known and most successful rockstar singers around the world. You'd normally would expect to find a spoiled brat who expects people to kiss his feet, but he's anything but.. He and his team members of Stone butterfly form the most amazing friendship and I lovedddd reading about them. I love male leads who are not necessarily bad boys and are 'down to earth', still have an amazing bond with their family and are just heart warming and lovable. And Levi is definitely one of those characters. You fall for him, hard.. Take with you the fact that he's also a great singer and a lead singer of a rock band with a bossy and dirty mouth; Yep, I could totally picture this character in my mind, very vividly hehe. So you should definitely make room on your book boyfriend list for Levi because that man......whew....that man is definitely a delicious addition. He is so yummy!
I really liked Brooklynn right from the start. She's made something of herself, despite her traumatic past and the fact she had to take care of her sister so much. She's a great singer/songwriter and knows it and I really like that she owns that recognition. But underneath that bravo she's a traumatized person as well because of the things that happened with her parents in the past and she keeps walking around with these demons. She buried them deep, but falling for Levi and automatically opening up more to him, makes the demons resurface and I liked seeing this side of Brooklynn as well; a bit scared, doubting and hurting inside. I loved how Elle wrote this character.. the way she wrote Brooklynn's feelings and expressions and her development throughout the book were so well developed and it contains such powerful writing. Brooklynn experiences an amazing growth in this book, despite having some major set backs every now and then. She's so strong and in need of a man like Levi at the same time and she just deserves this chance for a beautiful romance.
Aside from Brooklynn and Levi we get to meet Brooklynn's sister for example, who was a great addition to the story. And then there are the other Stony Butterfly members. Each one completely different from the other one but I loved them All, really. This rock band stole my heart. I love their amazing friendship, the way they live as being rock stars and all.. How they face everything together and come out stronger, how they support one another and give each other shit as well when the need arises. You definitely need to meet the Stone Butterfly group ASAP!
ROMANCE.
The romantic, swoony and sexy scenes between Levi and Brooklynn made me so incredibly happy. Because damn! Who hasn't had a crush on some hot actor/musician/athlete one time or another in their life? And if said crush did/said the things that Levi did/said to Brooklynn ... OMG. So yeah, I was a melting puddle of swoony fangirl a lot of the times while reading this book, lol.
Even though you might think it's insta-love when you start reading, it really isn't. Sure, the main characters have an insaneeee attraction towards one another right from the start but I've experienced such a thing myself in the past as well, so I definitely didn't see it as insta-love but just as a intense first reaction to someone. It doesn't mean you instantly love someone, but you can sure as hell have such an insane attraction from the first moment you set eyes on someone and that's what's happening with Levi and Brooklynn and I liked it, prr.
I really think the whole singing and writing elements in their story helps a lot with their romance development because listening to someone sing, especially in a closed room, can be really intimate and touching and I thought it was really beautifully written in this story. You definitely feel the romance growing when Levi and Brooklynn spent more time together in the studio and start writing and singing duets together. To me, the build up of this romance was really beautiful and in a nice pace. They start with having this insane attraction to one another but Brooklynn decides to keep Levi at a distance because she's afraid of the consequences if things should go bad between them. But while spending more and more time together with Levi she falls for him and he falls for her, so in a regular pace their romance develops into something much more intense, deep, steady and something worth exploring.
CONCLUSION.
I loved this book so much! This was my first Elle Christensen book and I have fallen completely for her writing and these phenomenal characters. Levi, Brooklynn and the rest of the characters are so great. You really can’t put the book down until you find out what happens with them. The mixture of their romance and the little bit of intrigue really gave this rock n roll romance a unique spin. Elle Christensen has a great way of writing. No matter who’s point of view you're reading, you truly lose yourself into this story and feel as if you are right there with the characters. This book is touching, emotional and funny. If you haven’t read anything by Elle Christensen yet, you need to pick this book up asap. I guarantee you won’t regret it!! This book brought a smile to my face the whole time reading it, it melted my heart into a puddle of goo and made me fall in love with the characters, the story and the writing. It left me craving for more.
If you like romance stories and especially romance stories with music elements/rock stars, this is THE book you need to buy. Finding Forever
Omg the feels delivered in this read will tear you to pieces and slowly bring you back to life.
Brooklyn has never had anyone to lean on, it’s been her responsibility to look after her sister Baylee. Their parents were not fit for that title. An abusive father and a mother lost in her own world. But she’s managed to take on the care of looking after someone with Baylee’s needs.
An accomplished musician, Brooklyn is given the opportunity to go on tour with Stone Butterfly is like a dream come true. Meeting and working with lead singer Levi Matthews is something she or her heart was not prepared for.
Levi fell for Brooklynn in that first moment. He’d never thought about forever but with her that’s what he wants.
A gripping read that’ll consume you. Engaging characters who in their own right shine just as bright.

I absolutely loved this amazing story showcasing rock star Levi Matthews and super talented, Brooklynn Hawk. It had everything: super sexy singers; out of control family members; and sit on the edge of your seat, page-turning suspense! Which makes me wonder why all of the over the top sex scenes as well as the excessive profanity? 2-3 sex scenes okay but after 6-7, now I am skimming the pages trying to get back to the REAL story. It certainly didn't enhance the story, rather it distracted from it. So disappointing!

I'm a fan of the rockstar romance trope and I really enjoyed this book! :-) This is my first book from this author and I was pleasantly surprised with it. Here's why:
> Levi, the H, is not your typical manwhore rocker which I appreciated. There's more to him than banging groupies, drinking booze, and being chased by paparazzi. In fact, he's about the most even keeled rocker hero that I have encountered. LOL
> I loved that there are a lot of behind-the-scenes moments between the MC's collaborating on music and them in rehearsals with the rest of the band.

Levi, a member of Stone Butterfly, and his bandmates are listening to auditions for a new backup vocalist as Sheryl is preparing to begin maternity leave and may not return after. When Sheryl informs them she'd talked a long-time friend of hers, a highly sought after singer, to come in. The name is one they all recognize, trying not to get too excited that she'll join them.
Though she's been in the business a few years, Brooklynn was having trouble containing her inner fangirl upon meeting the band. When she shakes Levi's hand, not only is he reluctant to let go, he's giving her this look that her body can't help but notice. But Brooklynn knows how dangerous sleeping with a member of the group could be and tries to convey a business only vibe. Brooklynn agreed to the contract simply because of Sheryl's obvious affection for the group, and the family like atmosphere surrounding them. The latter being something Brooklynn never really experienced, aside from her younger sister, Baylee. But even that is different due to the mother-like role Brooklynn's always had with her because of her limitations.
From the moment he saw her, touched her hand, Levi was smitten and instantly became determined to make Brooklynn his. He also had no qualms in letting the others know he was staking a claim on her, though his reaction to seeing their perceived interest wasn't planned, it was instinctual. As Levi and the others begin a song, one Levi had written full of hope, wanting to see how Brooklynn's voice harmonizes with theirs. Levi is blown away and doesn't realize until afterward that everyone else had stopped, leaving he and Brooklynn to blend beautifully, as if they were born to sing together.
Over the next couple weeks, Brooklynn and the band work together, and she continually turns Levi down every time he asks her out. But as they're spending a lot of time with one another, and even more so as they're about to essentially sing a duet, a love song no less titled "Sanity," Brooklynn is finding it harder to keep her desire for him hidden. Plus, their friendship is steadily growing stronger, as is the connection and attraction.

I'm looking forward to more of this series and ooh, I hope I know which couple is next because I've been watching them. LOL For those concerned with safety like I am -- Levi was not a manwhore, had not been with anyone for months prior to Brooklynn, was all about her from the second they met (his love and devotion to her were beautiful), and there is no om/ow drama. I will say, for the record, unless Simon, a bandmate, changes his ways prior to his book, or at least a long time before meeting his heroine, I don't know if I'll be able to read his story. It's very obvious he's a manwhore and I do not like that in a "hero." It's not heroic, it's tacky and disgusting and truly lessens what he's meant to find with his one.

I am a total sucker for a rock star book! I typically devour them in one sitting, and Another Postcard was no exception. Elle Christensen immersed me into Stone Butterfly’s world and I didn’t want to leave.
I loved Brooklynn Hawk and Levi Matthews. Brooklynn has been a steady behind the scenes force in the music industry and her talent is insurmountable. She’s purposefully stayed out of the limelight, but with an opportunity to tour with one of the best bands in the business, Brooklynn wants to take the chance to finally fulfill her own dreams. One dream may include Levi as more than the lead singer in the band, but as the leading man in her life.
Sigh. Give me just a minute to get over the swooning here. Levi and Brooklynn made such beautiful music together, I couldn’t get enough of them. I loved all their interactions as they started as friends and then moved onto lovers. I adored how they worked so well together—making music together, their sexy times together. *fans self*
Each member of the band was amazing too! Simon, Matteo, Cooper, and Sasha… man, I’d love to hang out with all of them. Ms. Christensen made me feel as if I was in the room as they rehearsed and wrote music. It was awesome, so damn awesome. I loved the twist too . . . completely unexpected and gripping. So hard for all involved.

Looking for a Rock Star Romance that will steal your heart and give you all the hotness you can handle, well Another Postcard is that Book. I love rocker love stories. And Stone Butterfly 🦋 Rocks. Levi and Brooklyn are definitely amazing characters. You come to find that there is more to Levi ,than hot Rockstar. He makes a very yummy book boyfriend! And Brooklyn...wow!! She is strong and caring . Fighting for her family and her dream. The story has more than just lovers . The book opens your mind and heart to life and real struggles. And the battle you have to fight to make your dreams a reality. Believe when I say this amazing story will make your ride a rollercoaster of emotions, that you be thankful for. Plus the band and the side characters are addicting. Definitely need more of the series.

Brooklynn Hawk ha un dono. La sua voce è magia, assoluta e potente. Vibra, avvolge, accarezza, scuote, innamora.
Quando gli Stone Butterfly hanno necessità di sostituire una delle loro coriste, il manager della band, Noah, vuole la migliore, e Brooklynn è la migliore.
Bastano pochi attimi in uno studio a provare e gli Stone Butterfly hanno deciso di volerla.
E, ancor di più, la vuole Levi Matthews, il frontman, imbrigliato nella rete di quella armonia vocale purissima e da una visione di dolcezza, calore e forza in forma di donna. Una donna bellissima, occhi e capelli scuri, pelle ambrata e zigomi alti da nativa… Un brivido, consapevolezza, luce, musica.
Levi Matthews ne è immediatamente attratto, ma Lynn è prudente. Schiva. Ha un segreto, una responsabilità, e non sa se potrà mai essere pienamente libera. Di vivere per se stessa. Di amare.
Le cose evolvono, complice l’amore di entrambi per la musica e la bellezza, ma qualcosa, qualcuno, minaccia Lynn, e le cose precipitano. Fanno male, ma spazzano via i dubbi, le incertezze, gli errori, i sensi di colpa. Perché non c’è niente di più limpido e chiaro di un cielo dopo i venti di tempesta.
Una storia dolce, a tratti romantica, a tratti sexy. Non immaginate i belli e dannati del R&R, questi Stone Batterfly sono bravi ragazzi. Ricchi e famosi, vero, ma bravi ragazzi americani, che nutrono sani sentimenti americani.
Una lettura senza drammi eccessivi, scorre ben scritta, ma… A me è mancato qualcosa, forse la parte suspance non mi ha trasmesso il giusto brivido, era chiaro fin da subito chi fosse il responsabile dello stalkeraggio e delle minacce e le conseguenti azioni della protagonista sono state abbastanza senza senso…
Una lettura piacevole, comunque. Non si rinuncia mai a leggere di giovani e bei rocchettari. Non credete?

Levi is part of Stone Butterfly. A popular band with its own mix of different genres. Brooklynn is a vocalist with a troubled past.
I wanted to love this book. This is the first Christensen book I've read. So I really didn't know what to expect. Levi is pretty abrasive and stops at nothing to get Brooklynn. The whole time I was not sure if I even liked Levi. He was too cave mannish even if he's scorching hot and supremely talented.
The steamy sexy scenes were just that steamy. It kind of came off a bit corny, if that's the right word. I felt also that there was a lot of descriptions in the book, that weren't necessary. But it didn't stop me from enjoying their story. I just didn't come emotionally invested, as much as I wanted too.
But the way that Christensen described the music, I wish it was a real song that I could listen too.

Non so se ne siete al corrente ma, nello stesso periodo, in Italia sono usciti due volumi che aprono due serie differenti dell’autrice Elle Christensen.
È la prima volta che leggo qualcosa di questa autrice e, non conoscendola, ero davvero curiosa di scoprire i suoi scritti.
Il volume di cui vi parlo oggi è “Another Postcard”, che apre la serie sui ragazzi della band Stone Butterfly, edito Triskell Edizioni.
“Another Postacard” si concentra sul leader della band, il bellissimo e sensuale cantante Levi Matthews, e la corista Brooklynn, la nuova arrivata nel gruppo.
La band ha bisogno di una nuova corista dopo l’uscita dal gruppo di una di loro e Brooklynn, la protagonista femminile, sembra fatta apposta per loro.
Lei è sensuale, dolcissima e con una voce pazzesca.
È una ricchezza per il band, ma ancora di più per Levi, che, non appena la vede, capisce che deve essere sua.
Un solo sguardo e sa che lei è la donna per lui, il suo per sempre, ma Brooklynn ha così tanto da perdere se le cose dovessero mettersi male.
La Stone Butterfly più che una band è una famiglia molto unita, e questo è ciò che Brooklynn desidera di più: essere parte di qualcosa e sapere che ci sarà sempre qualcuno a prendersi cura di te.
Una relazione con Levi potrebbe mettere a rischio la sua presenza nella band se le cose non dovessero funzionare, distruggendo il suo sogno, ma Levi ha tutta l’intenzione di non arrendersi e di conquistare il suo cuore.
Tra baci rubati, canzoni dolcissime e passione rovente, Levi e Brooklynn inizieranno la loro storia d’amore, una storia destinata a durare.
Nel corso del romanzo non mancheranno imprevisti ed episodi che rendono questo romanzo davvero imprevedibile.
Non è infatti un romanzo scontato, anzi, ad un certo punto prende una piega, per me, totalmente inaspettata.
Nonostante questo é una storia che non sono riuscita ad apprezzare al massimo.
“Another Postcard” è un romanzo che scorre molto veloce, senza troppi dettagli e approfondimenti. Coinvolge il lettore, ma mi sembrava sempre che mancasse qualcosa, anche se non so dirvi cosa.
L’amore c’è, la passione anche, ma il contorno non è proprio perfetto.
Avrei voluto più approfondimenti sul resto della band, ad esempio, ma so che dovrò saziare la mia curiosità con i prossimi volumi dedicati a loro.
E se, come vi ho accennato, il contorno di questa storia non è perfetto, lo è invece l’epicentro.
Tutto ruota intorno a Levi e al suo amore per Brooklynn, e di questo non posso assolutamente lamentarmi.
Rimarrete affascinate da lui, dalla sua gentilezza e dal suo fascino; si rivela un protagonista sempre a modo, realistico e mai esagerato.
Brooklynn, invece, è il personaggio che impareremo a conoscere meglio. Le sue debolezze, le sue paure e i suoi sentimenti sono sempre molto curati, tanto che il lettore riesce a comprendere ogni sua scelta.
Brooklynn ha solo sua sorella, lei è la sua unica famiglia e farebbe di tutto per tenerla al sicuro. Rinuncerebbe a tutto per lei e io non posso che giustificare il suo comportamento.
Dunque, questa storia raccontata a PoV alterni sarà anche una storia d’amore di una rockstar che s’innamora perdutamente della sua corista, ma sono sicura che la apprezzerete nella sua semplicità.

Sono così eccitata mentre vi scrivo queste righe! Mai avrei pensato di finire questo romanzo e trovarmi con così tante emozioni che fanno a botte fra loro, dentro di me, per prevaricare una sull'altra. Avete presente quelle storie che si iniziano senza aspettative? Another Postcard è una di esse e mi ha sorpresa e conquistata!

Vorrei potervi mostrare la mia espressione in questo istante per farvi vedere la luce che illumina i miei occhi. È risaputo che io amo i romance in cui si ha a che fare con la musica ma Another Postcard non è solo questo! È un insieme di tutti i componenti che ricerco costantemente in un romanzo, messi lì in un vortice di suspense e phatos che rende il ritmo quasi selvaggio. Sono stata investita da uno tsunami, o forse da un caterpillar, ma questo solo per spiegarvi che la potenza di questa storia mi è piombata addosso lasciandomi completamente senza fiato. Non ricordo da quanto io non leggessi un romanzo - non è nemmeno breve - in meno di una giornata. Non sono stata in grado di staccarmi, nemmeno per un bicchiere d'acqua; mi sono dimenticata di ogni cosa perché ero totalmente assorbita dalle vicende e ammaliata dal fascino sfacciato di Levi. Mie care lettrici, mi rivolgo soprattutto a voi, dimenticate di avere un cervello funzionante perché dopo averlo conosciuto non capirete più nulla. Sarete solo investite dal suo sex appeal e dalla sua carica erotica. Levi sprigiona virilità da ogni poro e incarna alla perfezione il ruolo del bello e dannato tutto sesso e rock 'n' roll! Ma non è solo questo, Levi mi ha avuta ai suoi piedi quando ha mostrato tutta la bellezza, la grandezza e la dolcezza del suo cuore perché potrà anche essere un Dio del rock ma Brooklynn ha saputo estrapolare da lui la sua parte migliore, portandola alla luce, perché quando ci si innamora è così, o almeno dovrebbe esserlo.

In questa storia ci sono dei colpi di scena che non mi aspettavo, avevo capito che qualcosa vibrava nell'aria ma l'autrice è stata brava a depistarmi con i suoi indizi ambigui. Avevo già avuto modo di leggere Spring Fling di Elle Christensen, ma le due storie non hanno nulla a che vedere fra loro. Sono completamente diverse e, nonostante la penna sia la stessa, ho ritrovato nel suo stile la passionalità del linguaggio, sì, ma anche degli elementi differenti che mi hanno mostrato l'autrice sotto una veste del tutto nuova. Beh, avrete capito che ho amato tantissimo questo romanzo e quindi, non posso che consigliarvi questa che per me è una bellissima lettura e sperare che Brooklynn, Levi e tutta l'intera combriccola, vi emozioni e vi rubi il cuore come ha fatto col mio.

Si dice che dove non arrivano le parole, arriva la musica, ed è ciò che accade sin dalle prime battute di questa storia.. dove la passione per la musica diventa un tutt'uno con i sentimenti in un intreccio indissolubile, tanto che nella mia mente, durante la lettura, una vecchia canzone mi ha cullato dolcemente sino alla fine...

Another Postcard is a book that draws my attention because of the cover. I knew I want to read it when I saw the cover. And the title, Another Postcard, was making me curious. The title isn’t a cliché title in New Adult.
And ofcourse: the summary was making me curious. The story is about a band and I love band stories. I’m not really musical, but I love to listen to it and read about it.
Elle Christensen isn’t a name that rings a bell. Never heard of her, so no expections. I found this book during browsing at netgalley.com.
In the first part of the book, I don’t like it. Don’t know why. Maybe because of the writing style or the characters, but I don’t like it. But in the end, it was okay. The last part of the book was better.
Another Postcard tells the story of Levi and Brooklynn, from both their point of views. I love stories from two point of views, because you know both of the characters. And at this point: it’s true. Levi is so cute, I want him. But they are a bit flat, not really individuals.
Some things are a bit too fast for the book and especially at the end. There were a lot of opportunities, but not all of them are used. Things feel too hasty, too fast. Or at least: that is my opinion. And it makes me sad, because I like the story and the characters. Lucky for me there are unexpected happenings, because I like them.
There is a Spotify list with this book and I love to know on what music other writers write or which music is the right one with there story.
Another Postcard was okay and want to read the next book, but it isn’t the best book i’ve ever read.

I love a good rockstar romance and Elle Christiansen hit all the right notes with Another Postcard! (Okay, yes that sounded cheesy and I'm not ashamed to admit it because it's 100% accurate!) It's funny, sexy, emotional, suspenseful and a definite must-read! Levi and Brooklynn are sizzling hot, their chemistry immediate when they first meet. Love at first sight? Kind of....however, their romance burns slow as Brooklynn refuses to give in to her feelings. Eventually, these two can't stay away from each other and their romance ignites. As mentioned above, there is suspense and intrigue as a mystery unfolds revolving around postcards that Levi starts receiving. Just when you think you know what is going to happen, Christiansen masterfully takes the story in another direction and surprises her readers with more bombshells, making the story one that you will not be able to put down!
Another Postcard has a colorful cast of characters that are fun and interesting. The small taste Christiansen gives in this book about each one was just enough to whet my appetite while leaving me wanting for more. Oh and for the record, make room on your book boyfriend list for Levi because that man......whew....that man will definitely be a delicious addition. He is truly yummy!
Overall, Another Postcard is a truly spectacular story. You'll laugh, you'll swoon, you'll get hot and bothered and you'll be hit with all the feels as the story unfolds. With a happy ending, there's so much to love about this fabulous book. This is a definite must-read!

Famous rock ensemble Stone Butterfly need another member. Brooklynn is famous for her amazing vocals and is quickly snapped up by the band. Where she meets legendary heartthrob Levi there is instant chemistry. As the charming and oh-so-handsome lead singer of the group, Levi is used to getting his way with women but faces quite a challenge winning Brooklynn's heart. He's determined to convince her he's not the usual rocker manwhore or player.
The group itself is interesting I loved the idea of changing members to increase the sound. Stone Butterfly reminded me of a smaller version of The Polyphonic Spree (who I'm a big fan of) and I loved the composition elements of the plot.
With Levi's position comes a lot of attention and fame. This also means MANY groupies, some of whom seem determined to come between Brooklynn and Levi.
Oh Brooklynn! I honestly wasn't sure what to make of her. I respected her dedication to her sister and her loyalty, but her constant back and forth did annoy me. I did find her a little wishy washy at times. Don't get me wrong, I did like her most of the time but just wanted her to display a little more sass, to kick some butt.
I'm not going to discuss the title because it's a MASSIVE spoiler. I will say the mystery element kept me guessing for a while and I liked the unexpected twist. For me the interaction between Levi and Brooklynn seemed a little awkward at times. I kept wondering whether people really do say some of the things they did (yes Levi I mainly mean you) but I did enjoy their story. Plus perhaps this is more about me being a stuffy Brit than anything else.
Another Postcard is a dramatic, musical story which will make you want to find your own rocker and join a band.

My lord! I do not know what it is about rockstars but they make me sweaty and tingly! Holy mother of Levi....... he took my breath away! Another Postcard was my first read from this author and it was amazing! I am stalking for book two lol. This book is more than just a concert tour.... it's pure love, drama with a twist and of course the concert scenes where I felt like I was in the audience! Levi and Brooklyn are soulmates, they belong together without a doubt..... Levi is determined and knows Brooklyn is the one, but her emotions play a good game with her head and it takes a bit for Levi to open her up and know she can trust him. Finally she can't resist her feelings...... but Brooklyn has some baggage that gets in their way! There is only one way to find out what that baggage is and the twists and drama that unfolds...... No spoilers here..... READ IT! Definite must read- I fell in love with the characters and the story..... you won't be disappointed ❤️

Rock star romance with a lot of heart, Another Postcard is an angsty, slowburn of a book!
Levi is the lead singer of Stone Butterfly. He is sexy and intense. Enter Brooklynn, the new backup singer for Stone Butterfly. Brooklynn resists Levi’s advances… for half the book! No joke. When I said slow burn, I was not kidding. I love a good slow burn, so for me this worked. The story wouldn’t have worked as well if they gave in right away, in my opinion. I thought Brooklyn’s concerns were valid and while Levi isn’t your typical book rock star (read manwhore), he is rather intense.
The thing that made this work for me was Levi. He was so sweet and the way he pursued Brooklyn was great! When he did have her, he was protective and nothing was going to hurt his Brooklyn.

This story rocked my world. I was so excited when I heard about this book. Elle is a go-to author for me. I love her work and rarely read the blurb before one-clicking. I am never disappointed. This storyline was incredible, I devoured it like a starving person. The characters have quickly become some of my favorites, and Levi is MINE!!!! I adore Brooklynn. She is sassy and headstrong, yet so very compassionate and caring. Her life is not the easiest, but when opportunity knocks, she makes the difficult calls. Levi is persistent. He is a great man, very humble in the face of his star status. He works very hard for what he wants, and what he wants is Brooklynn. I loved every minute and word of this story, and I know you will too. I can't wait for the next book!

Is their love strong enough when things get tough?
I really liked this book. I read it in one sitting - I couldn´t put it down.
Another Postcard has great emotions, beautiful words and great characters.

I love music and I love when I get to see it be a big part of books. It is like a two-for-one sale for me. What I have struggled to find with heavily involved musicians in books is accuracy, but I am so happy to say that I have found that in Another Postcard. Christensen’s knowledge/research have gone above and beyond for this book. Although this is just one of the MANY reasons why I loved the book, it had to be the first mentioned because not once did I roll my eyes or cringe from wrong terminology/slang.
There is nothing more passionate then figuring out a riff, nailing a solo, or coming together as one with music. The energy these characters gave off was palpable through my screen. I felt their excitement, passion, and comradery as if I was right there with them. It is the same energy you get when listening to your favorite “pump up song.” It is like seeing your favorite band live for the first time. Nothing compares.
Levi. Well, lead singers have never been my thing but this guy is sweet, smooth, and sexy on and off the stage. To me, he is the heart and soul of the band though everyone has their place. His persistence with Brooklynn made me smile and giggle often in the beginning. His passion and love for her after “catching” her is what did me in.
Brooklynn is one of those characters that you hope you could rise to be if put in her family situation. The woman is tough as nails and an inspiration. Her resilience towards Levi in the beginning is nothing short of honorary. It is always so beautiful and satisfying to see someone like her break down the walls and let someone in because she is someone who needs it the most.
This book will take you on one rockin’ adventure with tempo changes that will lead you to an amazing build up and climax. This is a book you don’t want to miss out on!

This is a new author for me. I have never heard of her until some my Goodread friends had wrote a review on this book. So naturally I had to read this book. I love it from the beginning. I can figure out the who dun it, but it twisted on me, which is a nice surprise. Brooklynn is a great character and I wouldn't have done and thing different about her. Lexi was the alpha lead singer without the ego that you read about in other Rock n Roll romances. I like there wasn't any other the top drama with him.

Another Postcard (Stone Butterfly Rockstar Book 1) is written by Elle Christensen. In this story, we have Brooklynn Hawk and Levi Matthews. Brooklynn is talented, but she stay behind the scene. Until one day she gets a chance to tour with Stone Butterfly. Brooklynn feels like things are finally starting to look up from the darkness that she has been living in. She never expected to fall for the lead singer Levi. Levi is a great singer, very talented. Brooklynn and Levi together make beautiful music. Levi is strong, sexy, great personality, and Brooklynn is sweet, smart and caring. I enjoyed Brooklynn and Levi. Elle Christensen did a great job on this book. The story is well written. I couldn't put this book down. The book is filled with many emotions. Loved Levi and Brooklyn together. They are a perfect pair. They chemistry between Levi and Brooklyn is sweet and sexy. This is a great story. I really enjoyed it. I recommend it. 5 Stars. Thank you, Elle Christensen. Great work :)
