You see how we invest ourselves every single day more and more into communicating over our devices rather than face to face. Shirly not in person so we can see each other’s emotions as they stream across our faces.
That is why having an internet non-relationship with a friend worked so well for Sophie Henley. At least I guess that is was you would call it at least she thought it was perfect. You see she lost Braden, her boyfriend, a year ago and being able to have an established relationship almost a year before that helped her cope.
Through her art, their talks, and him teaching her techniques. Lex as she called him, was her connection to staying sane. He also helped her set her goals higher, maintain her dreams to finish her final high school year, sell her fantasy art, and stay positive. You see he could always tell she was hitting the bottom of the barrel when her art became dark. No one else did.
Selling her art on the internet was gaining a great following and making her great money towards her goals for after graduation. One goal was to go backpacking across Europe.
Now that she was being commissioned to do her art it was getting better. Her last day of school was upon her and she was waiting for her ride her sister Sarah who was also the bride to be that coming week. Anyway, she was waiting at the craft store when a weird guy comes up to her as she is using a simple mindless coloring app. He starts saying you know that would make you feel better if you were really coloring.
She wanted to say Duh! But she said thanks but NO! So, creepy dude goes and gets markers and a pad and gives them to her and says just try it you will enjoy it. She looks at him and then looks around like she is going to beat the crap out of this guy. When her phone rings. Being her sister calling saying she is close to being up front. She tells him saved from the universe. Meaning he won’t die today.
Creepy Guy starts following her. She turns around and yells stop following me. He backs off. When she gets home she flies to the room. She knows that her elder sister, Jules and her husband, Josh will be arriving soon. They will be staying at the house. Along with Sarah who lives here and Aiden, her fiancé will bunk in my old room with his best man, Caleb.
When she hears all the screaming she goes downstairs. Once she says hello she goes to the kitchen to start the dinner her mom made that morning. When she bumps into the frig. When it closes there stands, you guessed it, creepy guy, Caleb, Aiden’s best man.
She is not happy at all. The thing that is interesting about this story, is even though they had this constant bantering going on there was something pulling them together. The author had it done in a tasteful way where it was not creepy. It is not like she had not grown up quickly over that last year that is for sure.
When she meets Caleb, the attraction does peek her interest but she had set her rules down and crossing them was hard for her. She had so much fear of relationships. The no more relationships ever! The rule was tough.

This is a fast fun read. Both Sophie and Caleb are fun characters that are likable. They have a loveable charm that works. I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com.

I loved this last book in the Trouble series. Read it in one sitting up on the beautiful Drakensberg mountains. The Caleb/Lex link was obvious but I love how Rochelle Morgan makes it believable by showing that it wasn't just a "coincidence" which would've been a long shot! I'm sad that there aren't any more trouble books but at least I still have a few Creepy Hollows left to read!

I really enjoyed this new book by Rochelle Morgan! I loved the South African setting and the characters in this book. It was a fun diversion that had me rooting for these main characters from the very beginning. Sophie is one hurt and angry girl. As the book progresses, you learn more and more of Sophie's story and I just dare you not to care. Caleb is pretty much perfect. He reminded me of sunshine (one of my favorite things!).

I think I've read every book in this Trouble series and I'm going to call this one my favorite.

Content: Frequent mild swearing, some talk of a sexual relationship outside of marriage but no details, just a mention.

A sweet, contemporary love story that will fill your heart with joy. Once again, Ms. Morgan has given me a charming story line with endearing characters…the type of book that puts a smile on your face and helps you believe in love. Peppered with humor, romance, and wonderful family moments, this is truly a great book for all types of readers.

Sophie is dealing with a tragic past, one that has made her shy away from others. She sworn off relationships and pushed both family and friends away. The only interactions she has are with Lex, her internet friend who happens to be an artist just like her. Her feelings for Lex are strong, but they’re also safe since they don’t know each other in real life. Enter Caleb, a gorgeous, outgoing guy who is a friend of her future brother-in-law. His easygoing personality rubs Sophie the wrong way…or does it? Caleb has a way of working himself into her life and, maybe, also into her heart. The banter between these two is fun and humorous. And the slow burn of their romance is fun to watch. Add to that a great twist that will have you smiling, and the fact that their chemistry is undeniable, and you can’t help but root for them.

If you’re looking for a fun, quick read that will leave you sighing and smiling, this is the book for you. Just like the previous books in this series, it’s easy to relate to these characters and the situations they find themselves in. The family moments and situations feel real…and the love story will appeal to the romantic in everyone. This entire series is wonderful…one great read after another!

Well...I wasn’t expecting something so dark. I almost quit reading the book early on because I thought the main character was a huge bitch. But I’m glad I didn’t stop. I was surprised and completely understand why Sophie is the way she is. It all makes sense now. So if you’re thinking of quitting the story because you may not like the heroine, continue on. There’s a reason for it.

This was long awaited read for me. I really wanted to read this book. And as happens when you get into a series if you wait too long for a next book you kind of get over it.
So I have nothing smart to say.
I was a bit annoyed with heroine because even if something obviously happened to her in the past she still was way too bitchy for my liking which put hero in the opposite direction of being way to happy and patient. Characters from previous books are there but don't worry this could be read as standalone.

New adult book with out the drama and angst but with a lot of predictability.

I LOVED this story so much. And for so many reasons. I think it's my favorite in the Trouble series. And one reason why is because I felt so emotionally connected with Sophie. At first I was worried that her grumpiness/negative attitude was going to be too much for me to handle throughout the book. But then I recognized myself in her grumpy slump and wanted her to find happiness, knowing she could find it if she made some changes. Another reason why I LOVED this story was because of Caleb and Lex. I suspected their identity from the beginning and that made their interactions with Sophie so much fun! The romantic tension in this story made me stay up until 1:00 in the morning needing to know what happened. I especially LOVED the email/Artster interactions between Sophie and Lex even though a creative writing professor once told me to avoid writing important character interactions in emails, texts, or phone calls. BUT, Rochelle Morgan has proven that that idea is totally outdated. Not only are some of my FAVORITE conversations between Lex and Sophie not in person, they are where the reader learns so much about the characters and what they need to do to change or become vulnerable to the other person. Another detail that I loved about this story, and all the Trouble books, is that it's about changing what we can and learning to let go of things we can't change, and learning to accept help from others. There are so many other things I loved about this book. But I'll finish up by saying I loved the kissing in the rain scene. I need to recreate that scene for reals with my hubby. I also LOVED the ending. Caleb is my favorite. There should be more Calebs in the world. Oh, and this story totally made me want to draw and create art the way Sophie and Caleb do. LOVED this story all around. Grateful for the advanced read for an honest review.

4.5 this one was more on the darker side but nonetheless I still liked it a lot. At first, it was really hard for me to connect with Sophie, considering her attitude and just overall rudeness, but as the story went on, her character development was spot on. she was a very honest character and when I say that I mean she was honest to herself most of the time which was good to see. it was nice to see Sarah and Aiden again, livi too. I really liked Caleb's character, he was an interesting character, to say the least. one thing I didn't really like was the age gap between Caleb and Sophie, but other than that, I can say I really really liked this story. I really grew a connection to this series and I'm just overall sad to have to leave it. but rereading is a thing..so..yeah. until next time 🧡.

Not teenage-apropriate

This book is about romance, but I wouldn't recommend it to a younger audience. It talks about things that most people don't want to get into such as body language, and bad language in general. It is a sweet romance, but honestly, I wouldn't recommend letting teenagers read it.

I received an advance review copy of this book in return for my honest review.
I was so thrilled to finally read this book. I've been waiting for this book to release since last December and it certainly didn't disappoint.
Sophie has sworn off love after her last relationship went bad. She has feelings for her online friend, Lex but it doesn't matter since she and him will never meet. Or will they? As Sophie and Lex grow closer, Sophie meets Caleb. Caleb is the best man for her sister's wedding and he is annoyingly happy all the time. Caleb's bright friendly personality is the exact opposite of Sophie's sarcastic, not-always-polite nature. As they're forced to spend time together Sophie starts to develop feelings for Caleb while Lex suggests that he and Sophie meet.
My favourite part of this book was that I knew how it would end. Rachel Morgan's books always have a twist and it delighted me to no end that I managed to figure it out. The actual ending was a bit predictable to me but I loved it nonetheless. I found the character of Sophie easy to relate to. Unfortunately since I saw so much of myself in Sophie I ended up hating Caleb's happy nature. (Seriously dude, why are you always happy? Are you eating Happy Pills for breakfast?) I thought Caleb made a great love interest for Sophie especially since they were so different. I loved how Lex's character was pretty well-developed even when he was a million miles away and all the you could see of him was his messages to Sophie.
This book captures perfectly the delights and chaos that occurs when family come together especially during the magical time of a wedding (am I the only one who finds weddings magical? Coz I really liked the way the wedding festivities were done in this book). This book was well-written and I loved seeing characters from previous books. However I wish I had seen more of Adam from The Trouble With Flirting. I don't know if this is the last book in the series or not but I really want to see more of these characters. This book was sweet but left a hole in my heart when it ended. I think all fans of contemporary romance fiction should try reading this series.

Sophie Hensley wants to focus solely upon her art, but she must get through her sister’s wedding first in Rochelle Morgan’s The Trouble with Falling. A heart-breaking end to her first relationship leaves Sophie more than just bitter about love. She refuses to fall in love ever again. Being alone is the only way she can’t get hurt, but an Internet relationship with a fellow artist and meeting her sister’s fiancé’s best friend are making her reconsider everything she’s felt the past year. I understood why Sophie felt the way she did when it came to relationships, and it was sweet and beautiful as she found a way to be happy again. Caleb is also completely adorable with how he strives for happiness and making friends, despite his background. I loved how we saw the characters from the other Trouble books as well as more of South Africa, where the books take place. I recommend The Trouble with Falling by Rochelle Morgan for anyone who enjoys sweet uplifting romantic stories.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the magic Ms. Morgan has once again created in the latest Book of The Trouble Series?!

This book revolves around the youngest Henley sister, Sophie, who is very sarcastic, moody and as she puts it, "guarded." Sophie is trying to deal with the trauma post her tragic breakup and due to the hurt and pain she has experienced, decides to lock her heart away from the world to try to avoid herself from getting hurt again. However, with Sarah's wedding just days away, and an infuriating new housemate, Sophie finds it very hard to not let the wedding fever affect her.

This is one of those "feel-good," light hearted, innocent love stories that just sucks you in from the start. It is highly recommendable for hopeless romantics who just enjoy sweet, clean romance.

These squishy, sweet romances are the perfect pick-me-up. Easy to read and easy on the heart, they renew the feeling that all is right with the world. The Trouble with Falling has the same weaknesses as its sister book: the dialogue is a little flabby and the descriptions of character movements over-used, but the online chats helped this one rise a bit above. As in most sweet romances, the circumstances are totally unbelievable, but completely sigh-worthy. I loved this particular artsy romance, it personally, resonated because of the theme. The author even managed to make me like the bad-girl main character and to root for her during her ups and downs. More please.

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. *

I have read the previous 3 books in this series and I loved them all, however, this one is my absolute favorite!! You don't have to read the previous books to be able to read this one, however, they are amazing, so you should! This could be read as a standalone as the author catches the reader up quickly so that they know what is going on throughout the book.

Sophie is the baby of the family and the one who is feeling left out of the wedding festivities for her sister, Sarah, not because she is excluded but because she doesn't believe in happily ever after, or love or guys anymore. She has pretty much decided that she needs no one except herself and her online fellow artist friend Lex.

Is it possible to be in love with someone that you have never actually met in person? Is it possible for a relationship to be taken to the next level? Lex asks Sophie to meet in person and that spells trouble for their relationship...enter Caleb, one of her future brother-in-laws best friends and Sophie may find out there are still a few surprises left for her.

This is an amazing story and the author grabs the readers attention right from the very start! The reader becomes hooked and can't wait to see what happens next. This is a roller coaster of both emotion and the plot as the author keeps the reader guessing throughout the entire story! Sit back, grab a cozy blanket and be prepared to find your new favorite book of the year!! It's a must read!! Enjoy ~

The Trouble with Falling is a very sweet/teenage love story, following The Trouble series. I have read first book The Trouble of Flying, but missing 2nd and 3rd doesn't destroy the read as each of the books are dedicated to other character.

Having said it's a sweet contemporary teenage read, by having read 1/3 of the book the outcome who will fall for whom is pretty predictable. Witty humor and falling in love.

The main character Sophie have had a bad love experience and she is absolutely not into having a relationship now, when school is over. Besides she has a crush on her best online buddy Lex, being friends with him for over 2 years they are chatting now. But she is 'thrown' in the middle of wedding preparation of her eldest sister at the time when she is absolutely annoyed by "LOVE" topic in the household, plus their family home is having a wedding guest around. Celeb is the guest they are having over, he is a little older than Sophie and from the very start she has decided not to like him, as they have met before in an art shop and the mutual likeness failed.

Celeb, once introduced to Sophie is acting funny and tries to tease her as he sees she doesn't like him. His mission is to make her smile, but he fails every now and then.

What was conflicting - the very start, she was having a chat with her sister, but it felt as she's having a conversation with a friend, and had no idea who each of the people in her house is.
Otherwise I enjoyed Celeb's and Sophie's developing romance, funny scenes and dialogues, family issues. I enjoyed her sister lecturing Sophie about ruining everyone's mood with her spiky childish "off love" remarks. This action was so necessary for the main character to achieve a personal growth.

I understand growing up isn't easy for everyone and most of us has gone through it at some stages of our lives. We all can have a bad day and we all can ignore best friends once we get swiped by sparkles of romance and in Sophie's case, she has to choose between two guys...but sometimes she was acting as a drama queen and everyone else had to just get going with it.

Having said that, and returning to my first paragraph, I will still say, it was a nice, interesting read.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Eighteen year old Sophie doesn't want to fall in love ever again because her last relationship ended horribly. Sophie has an internet friend named Lex, they met on an art website and have stayed in contact for two years. I kind of thought it was odd how they talked almost daily for two years without knowing what the other looked like. Anywho, Sophie has feelings for Lex, but she won't do anything about it because she's afraid to get close and fall in love again.

Meanwhile, Sophie's sister is preparing for her wedding, which is when she meets Caleb, the best man. Caleb is WAY too friendly and happy, and he doesn't understand personal space at times. Sophie—who is very guarded, cynical, and sarcastic— is really hateful to him at first, but after having dancing lessons for the wedding, they start to warm up to each other.

I will admit, I had a difficult time getting into this book at first because I'm bitter and don't like reading about weddings, but once I figured out where the plot was going I couldn't put the book down. Plus, Rochelle/Rachel Morgan has plot twists in all her books, and I needed to know what it would be this time.

Overall, this is a well written, light-hearted, and clean romance that will leave you with a smile. I highly reccomend this series if you're looking for quick romance novels without sex.

this book completely surprised me.

Sometimes I pick a random book and I expect it to be just another story but this one took the best of Morgan Matson, Jenn Bennett and Elizabeth Scott and created a really fun, entertaining and sweet story about a girl who has an online friend, her sister's wedding, the annoying best man and her past.

the story is so well written, giving each character a personality and truly seeing them as more than 2D characters.

there are many scenes I remember so vividly. the monkey and the jams, the dancing practices, when two characters paint each other's faces and the bedroom conversations.

there's the trope of "age difference" between someone who is 18 and someone who is 25 however both characters felt to be at the same age level and the MMC was not pushy or making her uncomfortable so it was handled well.

I honestly think this is a great book for 16+ and if you're not a teen you'll feel all the butterflies for the cuteness and sweetness.

I wish this series would never end! At first I was really upset to see Sophie so sad and negative and guarded after how sweet and funny and playful she was at the end of The Trouble with Flying, but it made her character development back into that girl or someone similar all the better. Caleb was such a great and loyal and brave character, I loved that art and traveling was such a big part of the story, the side characters like Isabella were awesome, I loved that Sophie's friends and family never gave up on her and sometimes harshly shook her out of it, the whole wedding aspect and everything surrounding it was cute and funny and beautiful(!!!!!), I loved Sophie's growth the most- it was beautiful and inspiring and relatable. I loved this series! Hopefully someday I'll get my kiss in the rain like Sophia;)

Loved it!

So sad to see this series ending! I really enjoyed this book. It started off with Sophie being a total grey rain cloud and we don't know why. It's not until the end do you find out what happened to her. I did wish it came earlier in the book. I won't ruin the surprise. Anyway, it was great to see her slowly changing and brightening up. It was a super sweet romance story about falling in love over art. I absolutely loved the ending. Perfect for the book. I would have liked an epilogue of a year later or something. Just to see where everyone was at. This is a clean romance but I wouldn’t call it a squeaky clean book since it does have some mild language.

I think this series is a brilliant one. It deals with a host of issues that teens face and brings up solutions which one would not have though of. Sophie is happy for her sister and the wedding is taking up a great deal of everyone's time and effort. Unfortunately Sophie is not in the mood for celebrating life, the reason is revealed in the book. She's feeling too guilty to live, except online with a friend who is as talented an artist as she is. Then Caleb shows up for the wedding as the Best Man and refuses to be put off by her attitude. He's found out her secret and loves it, but will she forgive him when he reveals his own?

Enjoyed it

I know what would happen in the plot and yet it didn't stop me from wanting to keep reading. That's one way to know it's a good story. The herione has some things to work through so don't be turned off by her eyore-like moments, one of the reasons she and the hero work so well together. The end did feel a little like:poof, I'm ready to do this now, but no real complaints. Contains some lanuage

Simply stated, this is the way romance should be written. Why Sophie is so guarded and afraid to get close after Braden is slipped into the story so smoothly. Even though readers catch on to who Lex really is early on, watching the two of them spar and spark is so satisfying. Highly recommended for teens and adults who like appealing characters and a happy ending.

Sad it's the last book in the series. I really love Rachel's writing style so much that I even enjoy sappy romance. I'm glad the "coincidence" was made believable otherwise I would have seriously rolled my eyes.

I never realised she has background information like art, music and photo journals for the books on her website, check it out!

Artsy & romantic

Growing up is hard to do. Sophie has many opportunities in her future, but she didn't think it would include falling in love with a guy she meets online. Could it be real? Can she get past the tragedy still haunting her?

It was fun to have Sarah and Aiden back for this story, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as their story. Sophie was a darker character (I understand why), and I guess I was anticipating a fluffier read. While this was technically a clean read, it did have some mild language and questionable elements.

This was beautiful and I loved Caleb and Sarah. Seriously! I liked Sarah the most out of all the females, I think. As far as the masked go, I think Adam was my favorite...

But each couple was special in their own way. Such a cute series!!
