Well, I read the Greek translation of the book so this might have had an effect on my rating. I found it to be "inconsequential, irrelevant even to a certain extent. The characters I found to be unrelatable, the portrayal of fear both overly simplistic and exceptionally easy to overcome. The main character, a woman constraint by her own - not really excusable fears - who as it turns out really just wants a man around and not be alone - it almost reads as if she can only achieve the freedom she seeks through the existence of other people. I don't know... Wouldn't really recommend it.
Tragically underrated. It helps you get a new perspective in life in the most gorgeous plot ever. So,interesting that the writer is part of the narration.
“Not the End” by Odin Dupeyron is a philosophical novella written in a very engaging way, where the narrator becomes one of the main characters, and the so-called “fourth wall” is broken. The book reminds me a lot of “The Little Prince,” except instead of a prince, we have a princess, a dragon, and many other wonders. The English version of the book is written in very accessible language, making the reading smooth and enjoyable.
