The Four Corners have been defeated, and Phoenyx and her friends are free...or so they thought.

Lily has been taken, and Phoenyx and the others have five days to save her, and themselves. But Phoenyx has a new friend, Ayanna, who has the power to bring back the memories from all of Phoenyx's past lives. The knowledge that is unlocked sends the Bound Ones on a several-millennia-long journey for an ancient artifact that might free them once and for all. Can they find it in five days, or will they all face death once again?

Following The Bound Ones again was fun. I felt anxious when Pheonix felt anxious. This one was even more action-filled than the last. The adventures they went on this time around were really inspiring and cool. I loved the twists and turns of the places they went and the plans they formulated. It was really nerves filled following them again and when I realized danger was nearby I got anxious and nervous for them all. I was so happy for Pheonix when she figured things out and braved her fears. Poor Lily. This was just as entrancing as the first one. Can't wait to find the next one.

Tantric by Tricia Barr is a great continuation of her first book in this series Caloric. This book has a huge flair of "Indiana Jones" and is very well written that way. The plot is very well developed and keeps you glued to the pages! The pace of the book is spot on and never feels dragged out nor rushed, which to me is important. There are lots of neat little twists hidden within that really give this book a nice little air of freshness. And this book ends on a high, yes there will be more and gosh I can't wait for the next one!!!!

In this book each character learns more about their gifts and even though you are captivated in their story, their characters actually go through some development. Their friendship gets tested but also strengthens through all their adventures. They also find a new ally who is very important in this part of their journey. There are of course also new enemies and some you are not sure which side they truly fall on.

This book really has it all. There is lots of action, some romance and a fantastic plot. I can really recommend this series to any lover of the paranormal!

The second book in The Bound Ones trilogy picks up exactly where the first book, Ignite, ended. Phoenyx and the other Bound Ones have escaped from the Four Corners and think that their problems are over. However, when Lily is kidnapped once again, her friends have to try to save her before it's too late.

This was an enjoyable read for the most part. The addition of another character named Ayanna explained a lot about the history of the Bound Ones and their powers. It seems that these four young people have actually been reincarnated for thousands of years, sometimes meeting in their new lives, but usually not.

I did find myself skimming parts of the book. Some of the action was fairly repetitive and I soon got tired of all four characters going into dangerous situations instead of leaving some behind to watch the others' backs. Phoenyx is deathly afraid of water (not a surprise since she is Fire incarnate), but yet she is dragged along on a deep sea adventure. And, how are all of them great divers when the need arises?

But, it was a good second part of the trilogy and I look forward to seeing how this whole thing ends.

Waiting on the next book.....

Phoenyx, Sebastian, Skylar and Lily have found Ayanna. They believe they have defeated the Order and they can get on with their lives. But nothing is as it seems. Just when life was looking good, they realize they are in so much danger. A phone call to Lily, the only one of the four not together, and they find that she has again been kidnapped.

What's the next step? They can save Lily and themselves if they can find the three gems that belong with the dagger and kill on of them. If they pull it iff, they will all become immortal. Right now, if one died they all die. They will have to remember all of their previous lives in order to find the stones. Can they do it?? They have a specific time period to turn themselves in. What happens will astound you.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

4.5 stars of goodness and fantastical adventure! I really enjoyed the first book, but unlike that one, Tantric takes us all over the world, to meet just a few of the many magical communities out there hidden in plain sight. I liked the plot, the writing style and how it just came off as a really light, fun adventure with undertones of dire seriousness. Their relationships were a little deeper, the world was broadened, and the end left me wanting more. An overall story that left me satisfied and feeling good. Definite recommend.

The plot was really interesting and fast-paced and the writing style matched with it. The magic system was expanded and explained well. We were able to travel to different places in the book and each of them, I could easily picture.

All of the main characters, Lily, Sebastian, Skylar and Phoenyx, were fleshed out as we learn a lot from their past lives and just how deep their connection to each other was. Ayana was an interesting character and I’m glad that she was introduced in the second book.

I received an ARC from the author. I thank her for sending this wonderful book for me to review.

I enjoyed Caloric, but I LOVED this sequel. The first book hinted at the past lives of the characters, and I was hoping the following books would explore them, but this was so much better than what I was expecting. I loved the intrigue, the action, the passion, it had all the aspects of a fantastic book!

Looking forward to starting the next one. If I’m not careful, my inability to put this series down could get me into trouble, lol.

They've defeated The Four Corners and Phoenyx and her friends are free. At least they thought they were free. Lily has been kidnapped and the others only have five days to save her, and themselves. But, Phoenyx has a new friend named Ayanna, who has the power to bring back the memories from all of Phoenyx's and the others' past lives. The knowledge that is unlocked sends the Bound Ones on a several-millennia long journey for an ancient artifact that may have the power to set them free, once and for all. Will they find the artifact and save Lily in five days?

I really enjoyed this, the sequel to Ignite. The adventure really continued the story of The Bound Ones so well. It fit with where everything in book one left off and it was really great getting to learn more about the five Bound Ones. I loved reading about their past lives and how well Ayanna fit in with them. Their past lives and adventures were inspiring and imaginative. I was so happy that Phoenyx was able to overcome her fears and get better at controlling her powers. She and Sebastian are such a cute couple. This series has been absolutely amazing so far!
