"These poems could not have come about had I not been afflicted. I thank and praise God for those afflictions, and for His Spirit which works in me."

The author herself says that, "my goal in writing these poems, is to share Scriptural truths, and insights as the Spirit leads me . . . " Poetry is often a song of the soul, born out of deep internal struggles that only the Lord God Almighty can understand and interpret. Kari has used her struggle with mental illness to glorify the One who has saved her.

"Because He is the God who knows, The prayers within my mind. He says to go to prayer with Him, In things I want or need."

"Keep us safe Dear Lord, In the shelter of Thy wings. for Your mercy upholds us, Whatever life brings."

These poems are beautiful, loving, caring and heartfelt! I was very inspired. I read a few poems each morning during my devotion time. They were very encouraging to my daily walk with Jesus. I look forward to reading more poetry from Kari L. Greenway.
