This thought-provoking collection of Christian Poetry has 22 narrative-style poems. The words seem to dance, as the author delves into having a personal relationship with Jesus.
Hope, rooted in Faith, is a key component to many of the poems.
The book starts with poems about the author and what brought her to a writing life and then progresses to Christ focused poems.
With a heart for the believer and non- believer, she uses rhyme and scripture to encourage and make a point.
Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
I live in Central PA. I love this area and many of its customs.
I enjoy many different crafts, reading, cooking, writing, and spending time with family or friends.
I would love for you to stop by my site and check out my forthcoming children's books and my devotional poetry. It will give you a good idea of my style. Also, you can learn more about me there. If you drop me a note, I can learn more about you.
"These poems could not have come about had I not been afflicted. I thank and praise God for those afflictions, and for His Spirit which works in me."
The author herself says that, "my goal in writing these poems, is to share Scriptural truths, and insights as the Spirit leads me . . . " Poetry is often a song of the soul, born out of deep internal struggles that only the Lord God Almighty can understand and interpret. Kari has used her struggle with mental illness to glorify the One who has saved her.
"Because He is the God who knows, The prayers within my mind. He says to go to prayer with Him, In things I want or need."
"Keep us safe Dear Lord, In the shelter of Thy wings. for Your mercy upholds us, Whatever life brings."
Enjoy this inspiring collection of Scripture based truths.
I received a copy of this book from the author. The opinions stated are entirely my own.
A short sweet collection of poems. Yes, they are faith based and I enjoyed them very much. They all had a little something different in them. * I received this book from the author---this is my honest review*
These poems are beautiful, loving, caring and heartfelt! I was very inspired. I read a few poems each morning during my devotion time. They were very encouraging to my daily walk with Jesus. I look forward to reading more poetry from Kari L. Greenway.
