This book provides examples of real companies that have already successfully implemented the practices discussed in the book. It is critical that companies invest in having an intrapreneurial culture or else they risk being unable to retain millennial employees and losing out financially. Companies rely on innovation, and millennials are clambering to provide just that. With successful innovation, companies can move past their competitors who may lack millennials and new viewpoints. In order to succeed, you should be creating an innovative intent, an inspiring workplace and a diverse team. Encouraging employees to feed their passions with side innovations is an extremely effective tactic – it fosters personal growth and increases enthusiasm and feelings of fulfillment at work.

How to deal with millennial employees. Quite interesting, but not my cup of tea since I just retired, so I only skimmed the book.

The stories and hints were very surprising to me and I almost want to go talk to some mangers and see if this is true. Like the story that millennials prefer bosses that almost hover, since that is the kind of parenting they are used to. I am a baby-boomer and wanted the exact opposite!

If you are having trouble with your millennial employees, the hints in this books will be well worth the price.

Debbie Wooldridge's writing makes you want to stand up and start implementing the tools she prepares for you throughout the book. As a millennial I could relate to the way that she was explaining my attitudes toward the work/life balance, and, I feel, will better prepare me to manage peers in the future. A must read for anyone wanting to create successful work cultures today.
