I'm having a hard time putting into words how much I loved this book, so I'm going to tell you a story about it instead. I started reading Dominion right after getting home from work on a Monday night, and despite having to get up at 6am to go back to work the next day, I knowingly stayed up until 2 to finish it. No dinner, no breaks, I may not have even moved during the entire 8 hours. My dog thought I was dead and had already started selling my book collection on eBay by the time I was finished.

Worst book hangover ever? Possibly. Worth it? Absolutely.

Here's the thing about Life After: If you've ever struggled with faith, in anything or any one, really, this series will kick you in the back of the knees. If that's not your thing, this series will still keep you on the edge of your seat, howling with laughter and sobbing through an entire box of tissues. It's impossible NOT to fall in love with these characters and feel for what they're going through (*cough* Kevin *cough*). Also, mad kudos to Julie Hall for one of my favorite surprise endings ever, I did NOT see that coming you wily fox, you!

Stay hydrated and don't let the Kleenex run out--you're gonna need 'em ;)

Not Today Satan

*SPOILERS*
I'm not a big believer in faith and Him and the Holy Trinity. I don't often think about what comes after you die or if there even is an after life. On the very rare occasions that I do think about it, I'd like to believe that it's as Julie writes it. A beautiful andforgiving place and people.

I cried pretty much throughout this whole book. #noshame
The way that Julie writes just breaks my heart and puts it right back together. The conversations that Audrey has with Him and Joe and Hugo make me cry, every time. Audrey can't bring herself to ask for forgiveness for fear of being cast out. But she's already forgiven. He is always watching over her and is always with her, even when she doubts Him. It both breaks my heart and fills it with such joy.

There was a good portion of the book where I was hoping Audrey would die again because the thought of her and Logan not being with each other for a long time just killed Me!!! (Good job Julie on fixing that ❤)

I hate crying and every book in this series has made me do just that but you know what? I keep rereading them and coming back for me. 10🌟s and counting. I really hope there will be more to the After Life world, because there are still some unanswered questions.

From start to finish,  this series has been beautifully breathtaking in all of its heavenly awe moments.  Its been nail biting intense with those hold your breath scenes.  My heart has ached,  been overjoyed,  refreshed and enriched by the words that Ms. Hall has so lovingly placed before us. Dominion in particular was chalk full of twists that kept the tears flowing and the heart racing.  Audrey is such an imperfectly perfect character! She is fierce in protecting those she loves,  but possess these sweet and endearing qualities.  She's someone that you would feel so blessed to actually be able to call your friend.... And in a way, she is a friend,  a very close one. Logan is the guy that all the girls wanna catch! He's only got eyes for Audrey and interest in making  plans for their eternity together.  With Satan plotting and scheming it seems that any happy ending is impossible.  The conclusion leaves the reader hanging and holding our breath,  because that simply cannot be the end!! I found a character that pulled upon my heartstrings and his story made my cry all of those terribly ugly big fat tears, but his spirit and amazing attitude blessed me so very much and gave me a gift! There really isn't any character that doesn't evoke strong emotions from you.  They're all so gloriously fleshed out and each so uniquely individual ♡♡♡ Ms. Hall is so very gifted and so eloquently tells such a beautiful story! Her words comfort,  soothe, bless and touch you in ways that leave a lasting impression upon your heart and soul ♡

Dominion, the last of the "life after" series (however I really hope there is a spin off series) concludes the story of Audrey, and her journey once she finds herself in heaven. This book should really be read once the other novels in the series have been completed as there are characters and storylines that will not make sense otherwise. This conclusion is perhaps my favourite of the series, it brought me to tears several times, had twists and turns I did not expect at all, and answered some of the questions I had about the characters. Thoughtfully written, it will pull at your emotions from the first chapter right through till the final page, and I loved every minute of the dominion journey. I thoroughly recommend starting the book on a Friday night, you do not want life commitments getting in the way of this book! Five stars, I loved the entire series, but this finale is perhaps my favourite.

Talk about feels! This book put me through the paces and kept me in the edge of my seat for the entire read. Audrey goes to Hell to save Logan, but is that enough? Noooo... So. Much. More.
I will only say that I highly recommend this book, this series, this AUTHOR, for a fantastic and heartfelt journey. Enjoy the ride!

ALL. The. Feels!! This book was amazing and a great ending to the series, although I have to be honest and say that I'm hoping for at least one spin-off where we visit Audrey and Logan again... Can't say much more without giving anything away, but I will say that you will need to be in a room by yourself with lots and lots of tissues or your outbursts, laughter and sobs will draw attention... But SO WORTH IT

This book will make you want to punch someome in the face. And I mean that in a good way.

When an author has the ability to get that much under your skin and twist your emotions like a pretzel, that's a sign of genius.

At times, I wanted to throw it across the room. At times, I wanted to hug it and cry. At times I wanted to waltz around the house with it.

The descriptions of Hell are so vivid and gut-wrenching, you might need a hug and a cup of cocoa afterward to help you recover. Or maybe a pile of puppies. Something super high on the positive scale.

Julie's depictions of Joe (aka Jesus) are so close to the Jesus I know and love: tenderhearted, patient, but also snarky and a bit mischievous. It's obvious Julie poured a lot of her personal relationship with Him into the character.

And Kevin's story. Ho. Lee. Cow. Dude needs his own spin-off book. For serious. Make it happen, girl!

As for the rest, honestly, to say more would give away some of the best parts. So many twists and turns, you'll never want to put the blasted thing down. If you haven't read this series before, Julie DEFINITELY saved the best for last. I found myself never wanting to leave this world Julie has created, with its complex characters, breathtaking settings, brilliant plot and emotional tempests.

Seriously. Log off of this machine now, go get the whole series, lock yourself in a room with a warm blankie, a comfy chair, a huge package of cookies (or two, or three), and more tissues than you think you're gonna need, and don't come out until you've finished the whole thing. You'll thank me. Right after you punch me in the face, probably.

This was a great conclusion to this spiritual journey and war! After defeating the demons and ensuring her family’s safety, Audrey feels like she can finally settle into the after life until Logan is kidnapped. In order to save the man she loves, she and her friends have to battle their way through Hell, but the consequences could be dire. The descriptions of Hell were intensely vivid and I felt like I was on this journey with the characters. Without giving away spoilers, I honestly saw this humongous twist coming from the start, but I was still overly emotional about it. There were utterly heartbreaking moments, but I’m so glad that there was a HEA to Wrap it all up.

Best book hangover ever! Seriously I lost count of the times that I laughed, cried, cheered, and awwed through this epic finale! Not gonna lie there were moments in this book that I got mad at the author but her genius reigned in the end and I loved it that much more bc of the emotional torment it gave me. Audrey and Logan's story is absolutely breathtaking and I couldn't have asked for a better ending.

Y'all!!! That twist! What?! I was crying at the end, but rest assured, it does have a good ending. I'm still upset about my man Jonathan though. He deserved better.

Series content notes: the sexual content was a little much for me at times. The passionate kissing and roaming hands and being all over each other at times (this is Heaven Audrey, have some decorum.)

It's been three days since I've finished this book and I'm still unsure what to say. o_O

Well, I guess the first place would be is that the author definitely knew how to throw in a good gut puncher all throughout the book, BUT especially that last quarter of the book. I. Did. Not. See. It. Coming. I think I struggled wrapping my mind around everything just as much as Audrey.

However, that ending was absolutely beautiful! It was very much different then what I thought when first starting Dominion. (Goodness, I would say the whole series!) It was perfect in so many ways and definitely cried at that moment and leading up to it.

I will warn: If you think you know what's going to happen, the author most likely will surprise you immensely and leave you reeling but know it will be worth it. Brace yourself with a box of tissues.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. This book has left me speechless! Wow! I need a couple seconds to collect my thoughts.

… … … ... ...

Okay, I'm seriously struggling to find the words to describe how absolutely amazing Dominion was. It's breathtaking and emotional and oh so good! There were so many twists and turns and shocks that I didn't see coming, that left me reeling. And like many others have said, be sure to have some tissues handy because, oh my gosh, the tears were plentiful and flowing.

I was completely and utterly sucked into Dominion from page one, not wanting to put it down for anything because, seriously, there is no good place to stop. (I do need to apologize to the person who kept interrupting me, though. I'm sorry for the grumbling and nasty looks I sent your way. I promise you'll understand when you read the book.)

I'd highly recommend this series to everyone, even those who aren't usually fans of this genre. It's powerful and full of so much goodness! It's the best! It's definitely a series that I'll want to reread again and again and has found a permanent place on my favorites list.

I'm not gonna say much more because I don't want to accidentally spoil anything. I'll just say, go grab yourself a copy. You don't want to miss out on this awesome thrill ride.

I read the boxed set Life After. Although it was 800+ pages 😮, I finished it in a little over a week. I loved Huntress, Warfare & Dominion--while I enjoyed Logan & his POV, it wasn't my favorite part of the series.
The world building was fully developed and the depictions of the Trinity, angels, and the unseen realms were fun to read. The unexpected twist in Dominion kept me flipping pages and made me stay up way too late.

Same as all the other books in this series, I just loved it so much. I definitely did not expect to reread the entire trilogy in 3 days, but that's what happens when a book's that good, right? Was the end a cliffhanger though? I feel like it was. And I may or may not be really hoping for some spinoffs including Kaitlin and Morgan😜

Julie Hall is one of my favorite authors. Her books are incredibly refreshing. This series had so many aspects that made a person stop and think as well as relating it to their own lives.
I enjoy fantasy/science fiction books that have some romance in them. I try to find clean reads, but in the romance genre that is pretty hard, and having to skip and jump through a book just to enjoy the story without having to read a lot of steamy scenes takes the enjoyment of reading away.
Julie’s books have the right amount of romance and story telling that you aren’t left wondering what happened to the story. This book has an incredible finale for the main characters. Her character development is astounding, each character is well described and we get to understand each of them.
As always amazing job!

I think the romance is so well written... one word love! ❤️

Julie's books are always well written in my opinion. If you've gotten to these reviews hopefully it means you've read the other life after books as well.
When you read this one I guarantee you are in for extreme shock and plot twists that you wouldn't have seen coming. I don't want to get too detailed because otherwise I'll spoil the story.
But I will say this, and its more a question for the author. there is going to be more right? maybe a spinoff or another book cuz you can't leave a cliffhanger in the epilogue without leaving people with these expectations. 😂😂

This 3rd book in the Life After series provided some great action and very unexpected twist to finish out the series. The book continued the story in a beautiful way I would've never imagined; while keeping true to the other 2 books evoking plenty of laughs, happiness, and even tears! A satisfying ending to a series of an interesting glimpse of the afterlife. Julie Hall paints vividly beautiful images with her words to transport you into every described scene of the book. The entire series is very a very enjoyable and fun read.

Julie Hall's final (for now - hopefully she'll write more!) Life After installment is full of all the feels! Julie masterfully writes in plot twist after plot twist provoking tears and laughter and amazement as she wraps up Audrey and Logan's stories. There are amazing fight scenes, deep thought provoking conversations among the characters, beautiful imagery woven throughout the book, and an overall satisfying conclusion to the main characters' stories. She leaves it open for more world building and I certainly hope she continues writing novels in this wonderful series she's created.

Disclosure: I am part of her advanced reader group. I get no compensation whatsoever for reviewing her books other than the sheer joy and pleasure to read her stories before anyone else.

Just finished reading Dominion. I have a lap full of a sleeping cat and a pile of tissues with my dog at me feet. Julie would feel right at home except for the cat. I've been in my PJs all morning because I couldn't walk away from this book! Julie has exceeded my expectations! I thought I was getting a sweet, romantic adventure, but this is soul gripping, emotionally shredding, and gut wrenching. There were several points I hated the author for what I thought foreshadowed a wretched ending, but the unexpected twists and turns kept going to an end I couldn't see coming. This is the best book of the entire series. What a ride!

What a great way to end a series! Wow! Fast paced and hard to put down! I laughed, I cried, I hung on for dear life! I think that this was the best of the series (loved them all though!!!) I hope that there is a spin-off or two with the different characters, if not, that's ok. I may live..... I could (and probably will) read it again. Enjoy, have a tissue or two hanging around, and be prepared to finish in one sitting. I wasn't strong enough to put it down...

For as much as I loved the earlier books in this series, I have to be honest that it took me a little while to get into Dominion. The depiction of hell was fascinating, but I missed the social interactions that make Audrey's experience among the hunters so fun, and Audrey's internal monologue just seemed a little off. But that middle section! Audrey's secret was so intense, and I loved seeing the gang back together again, even though things had changed. And Logan was just so swoon-worthy! He'd shown hints of it in Huntress and Warfare, but in this book I absolutely adored him. So tough and sweet and loyal and affectionate. *happy sigh* Plus, I found the spiritual truths in Dominion incredibly moving. Joe was such an amazing character - the perfect blend of compassion and wisdom with a little sternness and humor thrown in. I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending, but it made me think and definitely took the story in a different direction than I anticipated.

Let's just say, if you've read Huntress and Warfare, you really need to see how this series ends!!

Volunteered to read for honest review

Dominion wow where to start? I’d have to say is definitely a powerful read.
I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that is able to reflect so much human emotion so effectively without being cliche. I literally felt Audrey’s turmoil.

For example (and this might sound spoiler-y but it’s not because no one except those who have read - or wrote it - would know the context behind it) I did a double take with L. London sign and I swear I almost had a heart attack.

There is much more suspense in this one and the plot twists are like a punch in the gut!!!

I could go on and on, but the best reviews are short ones, because i don't think people really want to read that much fangirling... please tell me if I'm wrong! :)

Julie Hall has done an amazing job with this series. It’s relatable, funny, romantic and heart wrenching.
Can’t wait to see what she (and her exceptional team of both humans and dogs) writes in the future!!!

Dominion was quite a thrill ride. Julie Hall took me to the depths of hell, up to the heights of heaven, and then back to Earth. When reading the synopsis, I thought majority of the story was going to take place in Hell and have a big stand-off, but the story only took place in Hell for the first twenty-five percent of the story. Not that the story wasn't well-written and captured my imagination. I just thought Audrey and the gang would have hung out there more. The romance between Logan and Audrey comes full force in this addition. So be prepared for more kisses and time spent together. There is a huge twist in the novel that I didn't see coming, which was a good thing because I was surprised. I really enjoyed the story, and it was a nice ending to the series. I anxiously await what Hall decides to write next.

Woah! I'm still emotionally decompressing from the end of this book. There was just so MUCH to this book. This book took the series to a whole new level! As an avid reader, I can often see plot twists coming or at a minimum guess at endings and things with a decent amount of accuracy. Julie threw me for several loops throughout this entire book. There were definitely several points where I can honestly say (unashamed) that I definitely didn't see that coming; I always love it when an author can shock me or surprise me.

It was powerful and emotional and I can honestly say I had an extremely hard time putting it down (to the point where I was reading at work instead of you know working...).

Despite the darker tone of this novel and despite all of the emotional overload that I experienced there was still the familiar and well-timed humor throughout. Julie dragged me into Audrey's world once more and kept me with Audrey every step of the way as she made her journey.

This is the final installment of the Life After series, and it was by far my favorite of the series. Normally I can read a book in a couple of days, but this one made me take time to research myself and my own walk in life. Audrey's relatable struggle of trusting God and keeping the faith... the true struggle in making a decision about the one you will spend your life with... the reminder that Satan will NEVER win no matter what it feels like. Julie Hall amazes in how she is able to take a romantic fiction and allow it to minister to your heart and soul while you're rooting for your heroine. Please read the series from the beginning to the end... you WILL NOT be disappointed!

I hate that I love bitter-sweet conclusions sometimes.

You know, the ones that pull on your heart-strings. I was not expecting the plot twist at all and I do like how this book deals with the concept of shame. I think Julie Hall was able to balance out the message of Christianity while not preaching but rather, telling a good, action-packed story. While I haven't absolutely loved the series (and that's mostly because of the romance that took me forever to root for), I do think this was a strong finale for this series and I'm content with it.
