Undying Affinity is my debut book.
For me, it is not a book but more like a baby.
I started writing this book in January 2013 and completed in mid 2014. The idea of writing this book struck my mind back in Nov 2012. At that point of time, I had no serious plans of writing it down and getting it published though I always desired to write a book one day.
However, with passage of time, my mind changed and I started taking the book seriously.

The process of writing this book has been really exciting. Every time I wrote it, I experienced the emotions driven out of the characters myself. Though the story has not been inspired from any real incident, it looks completely real to me. I was in love with the characters while writing this book.

One thing that I have to mention here is that this book could not be possible without the meticulous support of my younger sister, Ayesha. She was there throughout the entire process of writing this book. When I'd finished writing a sequence or a chapter, she would read it and point out the flaws. She has helped me to improve the plot of Undying Affinity. I could not have written it alone.

After completing the first draft, I felt relieved. After continuous re-reading and re-editing, the book came into a proper shape.
Even now when I read this book, I always tend to come up with new ideas and think ways of improving the story-line but everything has a time.
If I continued making changes in the book, it would never have got completed.

The story of Undying Affinity revolves around Zarish Munawwar.
At 22, she has everything in life she could ever ask for; an elite family, a high profile status, a bunch of good friends and a childhood sweetheart. Being childish, stubborn, imperious, extravagant and a bit impulsive at making important decisions pertaining to her life, is what perfectly describes her overall personality. She takes life easily and can get anything she desires. To her, life is a bed of roses. It is only when she meets, Ahmar Muraad, her mentor and finance professor at university, her perspective towards life completely changes. He looks quite young for his age as every girl at the university thinks he is attractive, seductive, intellectual and rather intimidating. This charming man is every girl’s fantasy and Zarish also finds it hard to resist him. But is he fascinated by her? Little did Zarish know how one little interaction could bring about so many twists and turns in her life. You have to read the book to know what happens next.

Today, I am proud to be the author of this book and I hope readers like it. The most important element of this book is the romantic chemistry between the lead characters. That is the USP of this book. :)

Plot was even worse than an Indian drama SERIAL!!!!! Before trying to write novels, you should at least improve your English. The grammar and sentence structure was HORRIBLE. Reference relating to this: Page number 1- the last line of the book.
Things about the book that were a let down:
Lack of a well developed climax.
Awful plot.
Extremely amateur use of grammar.
Run on sentences.
No use of pathetic fallacy.
No distinction between day dreams and actual events.
No coherence between paragraphs.
Pathetic punctuation.
Lack of character development.
Characters seem to have multiple personality disorders.
Background of free indirect speech is not developed at all.
In short, it sucks!!!!!!!!
IT FELT AS IF A FOURTH GRADER HAS WRITTEN THIS GODDAMNED LOUSY BOOK!!!!!!

My rating for this book would be 5/5 FOR SURE! Thumbs UP!

Like Sara Naveed mentioned in her synopsis, this book actually has encapsulated my mind and will definitely stay in my heart forever!
As it was Sara's debut novel, she has masterly scored well and didn't fail to impress me at all. She is extremely talented and skilled. :)

This book tells a love story which revolves around a student and her professor.

Zarish Munawwar

<a href= photo 147268-sanam-baloch_zps2d10fd2d.jpg

A rich spoiled brat, a girl with bumpy cheeks. She thinks she can woo any man in the world and is very much proud of her good looks and wealth. A complete brand conscious lady she is. She has no soft corner for poor people and is an emotional fool. She has a best friend, Haroon whom she can totally rely on. She doesn't follow romance at all as she believes it only exists in movies/books until she meets Ahmar.

Ahmad Muraad

<a href= photo a6BNTEw_zpsfd72f4b4.jpg

He is extremely intimidating, thick brows with big brown eyes, and wears spectacles *__* A very polite, private and introverted personanality. He pretends to act Sarrial(Impolite) but is truly soft at heart. HIS SIDE PROFILE AND CITRUS AND WOODY COLOGNE literally blows me away! He's a favorite to all the students of UBM, especially to Zarish.

Their amazing chemistry, perfect attraction and undying affinity is exceptionally alluring! I love their face to face interactions, inbox chats, phone calls, car communications, classroom gazing and last but not the least their RAIN SCENES! The most HOT part of the novel - The bookmark actually. :)

On the whole what I summed up is, Undying Affinity is not just about Zarish and Ahmar but also focuses around families and friends. It has a MAJOR turnover which takes you to an entirely different episode. I won't add any spoilers. You have read it yourself :D

Highly recommended for readers who seek romance, intimacy, and affliction in fiction novels! <3

A COMPETITIVE AUTHOR IN THE MAKING

There is nothing to say about this book but this:

"A Bollywood MASALA romantic movie in a bookish form / a story of a girl who falls for her professor"

POSITIVES:

- The author paid great attention to the character development of both protagonists' aka hero and heroine.
- The climax is good although it was a BEEN THERE,DONE THAT thing but still it was a little unexpected.

NEGATIVES:

- Too predictable.
- Author used so many words repititively which was annoying.
- The length of the book could have been half, some of the times it was draggy.
- The character of Haroon and his friendship with Zarish should have been given more space in the book.

I really appreciate the writer for her effort and my advice for her is :
Keep writing MISS SARA NAVEED you have that spark in you, it just needs some time to glow.

I read Sara Naveed's second book 'Our Story Ends Here' last year and liked it very much. A few months back Sara Naveed's first book 'Undying Affinity' was reissued again in a second edition. I was finally able to read it this week.

Zarish is twenty two years old. She is doing her masters at the university. She is good at her studies. She also loves hanging out with her friends. Haroon is her best friend. Zarish loves him like a friend, platonically. Haroon secretly loves her, romantically. One day Zarish is spending time with her friends at the mall when she accidentally bumps into a tall, handsome stranger. Food spills on her clothes. Heated words are exchanged. Zarish takes her revenge later. But the next day she notices that the tall, handsome stranger walks into the university. She is stunned and doesn't know who he is and doesn't know what to do. Who is he? Is he a fellow student? Is he going to be in Zarish's class? Or, more interestingly, is he a teacher? Is he going to be teaching Zarish's class? As lovers of romance, isn't that what we want? What is going to happen when Zarish and this handsome stranger bump into each other again? Are they going to hate each other? Are they going to be attracted towards each other? Are the sparks going to fly? The answers to these questions form the rest of the book.

I enjoyed reading 'Undying Affinity'. The story is fast-paced and makes one want to turn the page to find out what happens next. Sara Naveed's prose is spare and moves along the plot nicely - every word and sentence moves the plot forward or builds a character or sets up a scene. There are no redundant sentences and long-winding descriptions. The initial pages move at a fast pace, while setting up the story and the characters, and then the book moves slowly when the love story starts flowering, and then three-fourths into the book, the story gains pace again as surprises are revealed, twists happen in the tale, and the story hurtles into its climax. I loved the way the story changes pace across the book, depending on the story arc and the mood, like a beautiful complex piece of classical music. I also loved the way all the intricate story strands are woven together in the end into a beautiful, satisfying ending.

It is hard to resist comparing 'Undying Affinity' with Sara Naveed's second book, 'Our Story Ends Here'. I don't know which one I like more - both are love stories and both are very different. There are beautiful descriptions of the Swat valley in 'Our Story Ends Here', but outside of that, both stories are nice, beautiful reads.

If you like romance novels and love stories, do try this one. And also 'Our Story Ends Here'. I can't wait to find out what Sara Naveed is going to come up with next.

Have you read Sara Naveed's 'Undying Affinity'? What do you think about it?

My sole reason for buying Undying Affinity was Fawad Khan since the protagonist of the novel had been written keeping him in mind. Fawad Fever can make you do crazy things which might not always yield the best consequences. This is what happened with me after I bought the book.
Pretty excited to read it, the first setback for me was that the book was 400 pages thick. I had always believed that a book that long is bound to lose track somewhere or the other making it difficult to keep the readers engaged. And the belief still stands.
Anyhow, I started reading it without any preconceptions. I felt that the character introductions were really long. Everything had been described in so much detail that I lost interest quite a lot of times. For instance, the description of Amhar's house when Zarish visits him for the first time could have been done away with.
The "romance" doesn't start properly until about the 200th page, which makes for a major hitch.
Undying Affinity had too much filmy touch to it. The whole fun part about reading a book is that it isn't a movie. That was a major factor that proved to be an impediment in my liking of this book. It felt as though initially the content had been thought of for a serial/drama/movie script but then was made into a book midway. Haroon being in love with Zarish since their childhood, the twist where Ahmar's college friend is brought in and Zarish mistakes them to still be in love, the fight sequence between Ahmar and Haroon and the ending which resembled Jab We Met's (Indian movie) so much were, well, simply disappointing to read.
The English seemed to be a little off at some places too, which might be printing mistakes or editing ones (as I had earlier pointed out to Sara, the author).
I think that's all I feel Sara could improve upon and I really hope she doesn't repeat these mistakes for her second novel. I'm happy to be one of the first ones to read her book and it would be awesome if she could gain something out of this review. Afterall, constructive criticism is needed too, isn't it? :) All the best for your future endeavors, Sara. May all the luck be with you. x

5 UNDYING STARS

This was a beautiful book. It was really well-written and the character sketches were also quite perfect and close to life. I have seen such people, i have been around them.

This book managed to build a special connection with my heart because throughout the time my feelings were, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!
Apparently, this book will stay with me for a long time.

One of the reasons of loving this book was that it is written by a Pakistani writer, a writer that belongs to my own country, there was a feel of ownership and pride.(that doesn't effect my review at all, no biasing) Sara Naveed has, undoubtedly, done an excellent job.

The story was plotted perfectly, with appropriate amount of emotions, humor and feelings. The book felt so close to reality that i could feel the emotions, the tension moving around in the book.
And yes This Book Made Me Cry !! So it earns some extra points :)

Zarish Munawwar, a spoiled brat, only daughter of a rich family. She gets everything she wants. Boys just can't ignore or reject her.And she knows that. She is arrogant and proud. She is the princess in her world. But you can't stay a princess forever, because sometimes you fall in Love!

Ahmar Muraad, a young, handsome, charming professor in Zarish's University. Ahmar's personality was described well enough to fall in love with him, in just two pages :)

The story builds up gradually, a bit slow in the beginning but the pace and curiosity increases with every turning page and it's just impossible to put the book down. The chemistry between Zarish and Ahmar starts growing with the passage of time and with Zarish's efforts to win his heart.

"What do you tell your family when I drop you home?"
"Nothing special." She bit her lower lip."Just that a friend of mine dropped me home."
"Am I your friend?" He sounded amusing to her.
"Make that clear to yourself first. Are you my friend or just my tutor?"she asked frankly.
"Don't cross question me."
"Well..I am not. I just wanted to know what you feel, because it doesn't really matter what I feel anyway."
"Well, it does matter Zarish. You just won't understand."
"Then make me understand."
"This is not the right time."
"Why not?"
"Because you're sleepy."

There is good and bad side to every human being's personality as nobody is born perfect. Zarish had imperfections too but even I have my own. If some of her bad qualities are improved and well advised, she can become a better person. Maybe I can help her in this process. But...there is no chance that I can let myself get close to her.

description

The book was beautifully written. it felt like the author has poured her heart out through words.

"Don't you ever cry, Miss Zarish," he said in a strict but mild tone. "I would rather die than see tears in your eyes."

The ending was really appreciative, exactly how I wanted it to end. This book touched my heart in more than one ways and I am glad I got my hands on it.It was a complete tearjerker, it just captured my heart.

"I know you can't complain about this..."She paused. "Because.. I trust you."She looked into his eyes.
He felt a strange feeling when she said that she trusted him. He could see something tantalizing in her eyes. Something unusual. Something dark and unknown. An unspoken emotion.

The book was very heart-warming. Highly recommended to everyone.

One of the more charming aspects of this book is that the city of Lahore felt like an individual character, I enjoyed how Lahore was brought to life here, um but that's it. Like many others, I felt Haroon was the strength of this novel, very likable and his motives seemed real like he was more than just a one-dimensional character.

If this novel had worked as anything other than a love letter to a media figure, it would have achieved its literary purpose at least, if not actual greatness. But however, I do understand the allure of muses, though maybe next time a little more subtlety would go a long way. I don't grudge that lovelornness too much. For I have been there and sometimes I feel like I haven't come back from those winterlands.

For I understand, appreciate, and accept that this book is not aimed at me. But as I look around I realize I don't see that many contemporary Pakistani novels, or even novelists for that matter, despite the vast amount of talent here, so I definitely applaud Sara Naveed's efforts. And you cannot deny the passion Naveed has for writing and the amount of work she puts into her craft.

So kudos to her. I am really looking forward to her next novel. I hope she does better the second time around. She does have the potential to shine. Goes for anyone trying to write here. But remember kids, it is the possibilities that kill us.

*My review about Undying Affinity*

I am not going through the characters description to let readers discover them themselves, but i will give my general view about it.

Undying Affinity is a well written love story of two opposite characters Zarish & Ahmar, how being in love can change the lover's attitude and behavior, and how destiny can change our plans and the whole life.
It is unusual to have such feelings between a Professor and a student, which actually can happen in reality ,this point gives some originality to this story..

When i started reading this novel,i was totally amazed by the description of every detail, you imagine the scenes in front of you as if you are watching it on screen in real, i also enjoyed dialogues and interactions especially between the main characters...

Though it's the first book of an emerging writer but Undying Affinity can be an ideal script for a cinematic film due to its originality and perfectness...

Being her inspiration to write her first book, the writer gives us the opportunity to imagine Fawad Khan as her main character Ahmar, which added more charm and charisma..

Bravo to Sara Naveed,The Writer, for creating such beautiful love story which gives to the reader the passion to feel the beauty of being in love.I expect to you a very shining future in writing..keep the good work and may God Bless you..

For me Undying Affinity is a Five Star book,it's highly recommended for readers who appreciate romance and being in love.

After reading romances from authors like Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood, Undying Affinity was definitely a refreshing change. Set in Lahore, Pakistan which is actually my hometown as well, I could very well relate to the surroundings of Zarish. The author did justice to the characters as well as the settings. I felt drawn into the book from the very first page and couldn’t put it down until the very last one.

Without giving out spoilers to the story, I would like to say that this is what eternal love feels like. The chemistry between Zarish and Ahmar was smoldering hot from the start and its pace increased gradually as they got closer. This is a story worth reading for there are many surprises awaiting those who have a rather different opinion about Pakistan.

This book is a job well done by the author! I look forward to reading more of her works.

“Everything is a part of destiny’s plan and I believe true love awaits its destiny.”

Undying Affinity is a sweet love story about 22 year old Zarish who is a beautiful and self obsessed girl. She loves being the center of attraction and can make anyone fall in love with her. Zarish's childhood friend Haroon is madly in love with her. Their parents dream of seeing them settled together but Zarish doesn't feels the same about Haroon. She is still looking for the one and her search ends in her college with an unexpected new addition to her life. But will this man be her best man?

Ahmar Murrad is a person with his own charm. He joins as a finance teacher in college and Zarish happens to be her student. He never gives her much attention and ignores her. Ahmar soon realises that Zarish has a soft corner for him but he brushes off the thought of falling in love with his student. Zarish tries her best to make Ahmar feel her presence . She supports him when his father falls ill . They argue and disagree on certain things and their argument has no end. Ahmar sees Haroon's closeness with Zarish and feels insecure. That's when he realizes and accepts his love for her. But will they have a future together or part ways due to destiny?

Honestly , the book feels like one of those pakistani serials that aired on Zindagi Channel. I loved the character of Zarish. She is the perfect representation of girls who goes to all extent for the one they love. Ahmar is the man of every girl's dream. The family drama and disagreements seem too real which I loved. The writing is lucid and lovely. Also , loved the foreword by Fawad Khan.

I really want this book to turn out in a movie or tv serial.

A love story with jealousy , care and family drama. Loved it.

When I first saw this novel on Goodreads I really got fascinated with its cover then I read it's blurb which attracted me towards it. They say don't judge a novel by its cover only but for this Novel it would be wrong to say because it is beautiful outside as it is inside.
I liked the way it started, you can enjoy university life if you haven't been to university yet and if u already done with ur university then you can imagine your time while reading it... its story is about a relationship between a student and a professor and I think it's natural to have a crush on your professor if he looks like Fawad Khan I wish I had a teacher like him LOL, its not a simple lovestory but a romantic tragedy where they had to struggle a lot for their Undying affinity for eachother.

"True love awaits its destiny"

I really like the original quotes of this book, no doubt it's a very well written book.
While you read any book you feel bored at some point and just wants to close it but Undying affinity never gets boring at any point in fact it urges you to read more n more... every scene is beautifully described specially that red umbrella scene ;) which is one of my favourites.

I think anyone can write but only few knows how to capture their readers attention and make them feel it for real, this book lets you mesmerised in every sentences and it's quotes are wise about love. I loved the advice which is written on the last page. it's her debut novel which is beyond perfection I wonder how she's gona surprise us through the second one. After reading Undying affinity you can't hold yourself back from reading more of her stuff. I hope her second novel love, an affliction will be published soon.

I got into this book quickly. I was suffering from a reader’s block and this book proved to be a block breaker and in full throttle as I have to suffer from cold sleepless nights hooked with this book. It started amazingly. I was inspired by the way things were moving, the pace was set to an absolute perfect speed and the detail of everything is highlighted in a superb manner. The characters were both loving and annoying. Sara wrote the book in a way that reader is a mere puppet and she made the reader dance on her direction. The book both made me laugh like crazy and I was smiling like an idiot most of the time. The story was full of suspense which makes you crazy off curiosity. It was original and interesting story not like most of Pakistani books that appears to be boring. It is hard to not get yourself indulge into the story.
The detailed picture of Dresses and brands and places defined was very attractive and complete. The book was an absolute stunner; you just can’t put it down once you pick it up. It will blow your mind off and you will find yourself not as a reader but an active character in the book. It is a must read book for vacation. It’s a mixture of true feelings and reality of life which will make you understand the various sides of our scenarios including the main idea which might appear taboo to some but is part of our society and will open your mind toward a whole new level.

Undying Infinity is centered on two extremely opposite but passionate lovers. Apart from the cliches, it was well-written and definitely captivated me. As her debut novel, Sara's book is compelling and revolves around a strong plot.
It begins with the introduction of Zarish, who is a typical spoiled girl with no care in the world. Having been born in a filthy rich family, she is an irresponsible and strong-headed young woman. The story beautifully describes her transition into someone who is extremely considerate and down-to-earth, after her encounter with the protagonist, Ahmar Muraad. There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that both of them disliked each other at first but we all know how that turns out in most romance based novels. A huge chunk of the book also involves the hardships they have to face regarding the disapproval of families and society along with personal conflictions.
Sara’s forte regarding her book would definitely be intimacy; she describes the interactions between Zarish and Ahmar with such realism, one almost feels like he’s part of the script himself. It is difficult not to like the author, given her amazing talents. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who is comfortable reading romantic fiction.
I sincerely wish Sara the very best for her book launch and hope you all provide positive feedback.

Have you ever experienced a hole in your heart when you finish a book? You read epilogue passively because you don't want to end it. Sara Naveed's debut novel was a nice and addicting read. I bought it just after reading these words in blurb: ROMANTIC TRAGEDY. I love to read melancholic stories. And I don't like happy endings that is the reason I removed one star from my rating (plus some others)

Undying Affinity is when two people are like:
Breathing in your grace, breathing out your grace.

I do not liked Zarish in the beginning. She was rude, immature and a typical high-class girl. I was like: God, what type of heroine she is? Later, I liked how she transformed into a painful and mature person.

Truely speaking, I am not Fawad Khan's fan either. I am not the one to fall for super stars like crazy, immature girls. But I liked Ahmar Muraad. Not because he is stunning but because he is a true icon of man: Calm & Composed, Traumatized & Caring.

So now imaginary characters in my mind,
Zarish Munawwer:
description

Ahmar Muraad:
description

Whole story in one quote:
Love didn't ask me questions 'Why'or 'When'. It came straight with the answer 'You'

Flaws:
Being a debut novel, it was a nice package of laugh, think, cry and cheer but I want to mention some things that irritated me:

1. How a 22 year old girl be so childish and stupid? [I am talking about beginning. Her fullish act of childish revenge] She seems to be nineteen that time. Ughh.

2. There was some cliche. Some things and even sentences were repeated again and again. May be to meet the word count.

3. True love never dies. FINE!
True love always finds destiny! NOT FINE!

4. It was a tragedy. Why it ended happily? (sad face) [I know I am getting out my personal frustation over happy endings..]

Favourite quotes:

1. She wanted to remain in state of bliss forever. [Author]

2. How can I get a person out of my mind just because you said me so? [Zarish]

3. I have to leave him in order to save him. This was the most selfless thing I could ever do. [Zarish]

I am not going to naarrate whole story as readers already know that.
To Ahmar Muraad:
description

I swear it would become an awesome movie. I request Sara not to reject the offer if she gets one. And one thing more, I know Sara will get an offer for movie soon once the novel is more popular than present state. Tiny details are amazeballs.

Some clips of imagination in my mind:

hi sara, it's me, u remember? ;) i finished reading undying affinity on the very first day. it cost me a sleepless night and a day :p. & yet i am not done wuth it as i think i'll read it few more times, then revise it a few more times and then will end up memorising each and every verses of it.

throughout the first half of the book, i kept smililng, laughing like a stupid or sometimes blushing harder than zaarish even. to say something about the characters, u left no stone unturned to make zaarish an imperfect yet adorable girl whom every guy will cherish to love. and about ahmar, its better not to tell anything as i don't think there can be a girl who won't fall in love with him...and i am not any exception to that too..crushed hard on him :p

the conversations between zaarish and ahmar brought me the sense of butterflies in my stomach all the time, as in i were zaarish & ahmar was right infront of me!!! yes, i lived that moment with them too!!!

u did justice to the other circumstances as well, specially the versity, students, classes etc.. they seemed quiet real. but it was a fiction, so there were the protagonists and antagonists and some melodramas as well. it forced the readers interests to know what happens further.. to me, it was a genuine hit!!!

no doubt every fawad khan fan will imagine the great hero every time ahmar comes on their way while reading undyng affinity, but unlike others my eyes couldn't imagine sanam baloch as zaarish. it was mahira as zaarish in my view all the time. it might be the effect of my craziness about the duo :p

as a rising writer, u were far beyond excellent. wish u all the best for undying affinity and for your every ventures that r in the pipeline..

Undying Affinity is a story of Zarish and Ahmar. Zarish, a Student, a confident and fun loving girl, whereas Ahmar, A Finance professor, A serious and a strong personality. Will love happen between them? will he accept her love? A student and professor love? Will it ruin his career? Read this sweet love story.

Well, first of all, I liked the cover of the book, It’s colourful and attractive. The title is also different and impressive. This story is a sweet story of Ahmar and Zarish. What happens when complete opposites attract. The story is plotted beautifully with some suspense and romance in it. It’s a simple, interesting, full of romance. One can easily connect with the story well. The language used by the author is simple and attractive. The characters that the author built, are just amazing. Each character had it’s own personality, be it Haroon, Zia, or Muraad. I loved the character of Ahmar and Zarish. They are the strong and favourite personalities. There are many emotions witnessed in this book, like love, hate, jealousy, Friendship, ego, Relationships. The tempo of the story is also good full of twists and turns and many surprises. The pace is also good as it’s smooth and connecting.

"And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." The book starts with this beautiful quote. The undying affinity by Sara Naveed is an amazing book. It is a tale of a twenty two year old Zarish Munawwar who fell in love with his finance teacher Ahmar Murad. Zarish has everything in life that she could ask. An elite family, a bunch of friends and a childhood sweetheart, Haroon.

The perspective of Zarish about love and life has changed when she met his mentor and finance teacher, Ahmar Murad. Ahmar Murad is described in the perspective of Fawad Khan. She told her family that she was interested in Ahmar but her family opposed her as they wanted her to marry Haroon.

I really enjoyed reading it as it is a beautiful tale of love, romance, drama and tragedy. The story was good in the start than story was more like a typical asian family where a girl is forced to marry someone they choose for her. But overall the story was beautifully written.

If you love to read romance than this book is a perfect recommendation. The beautiful romance of Zarish and Ahmar will melt your heart and the tragic peaks in the story will made you tearful. And in the end Sara Naveed beautifully knotted the loose and confuse threads in the story. "Remembering you is like breathing. If I cannot forget to breath, then how do can expect me to forget you?" I really enjoyed reading it and if you are romance loving person than you will enjoy it too.

i loved it so much that i can't express it in words but still i will try it...
it is an amazing story very very well written and thoughts r well executed while writing...
for me a story is only good when I am able to find the characters mentioned in the story right in front of my eyes and that is exactly what happened with me when I was reading it...
i would recommend it for the people who have been in love and especially to those who have not been in love at all as they will get to know what exactly it feels when u are in love this is what happened in my case now i truly believe in love.. i would also recommend it to the non readers as they will definitely be hooked by it and will fall in love with reading...
not able to get out of the thoughts of zehris and ahmer n don't want to..
i would cherish this book whole my life and keep it with me forever...

This is a compelling story of two very different people and how love can overcome odds and make one a better person.

Initially, I had mixed feelings towards Zarish. As an arrogant, spoiled girl who is used to getting what she wants, it was very difficult for me to come to like her. At one point, I got really worried as to whether the author would be able to redeem her or not. It was really admirable how Zarish later became a prime example of how love and life can change a person, humble her. Kudos to Sara Naveed for making me believe in her story and for making me root for Zarish.

And while, this was a really well thought out story, the detailed descriptions about what Zarish ate, what dress she wore to college every day and what she did after waking up in the morning were very distracting. I think it is important for the readers to feel a connection with the characters that they are reading about, but with so much of descriptions, that emotional connection is likely to get disrupted. Nevertheless, except for a few innocuous mistakes, the writing was very engaging and quite dramatic at times.

My thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Last night 3am I finally finished the book.
Review.
The book itself is a complete package. As a reader I never confined myself to that Fawad Khan image for Ahmar & Sanam for Zarish, instead I preferred having my own opinions about it.
For me personally Ahmar & Zarish & all others are purely of my imagination that exist in my mind only. The character traits made me link them with ppl that surround me.
In Ahmar usually the traits given reminded me of my dad a lot,
When Zarish becomes religious & changes reminder of my mom when that change came in her life years back. Undying affinity may not connect to my life in all ways but yeah the characters do in someway or the other.
The influence of alcohol I know we live in a society ppl usually do consume it, if this book maybe was set abroad I don't think I would have said anything but yeah being set in Lahore makes it uncomfortable. And then the conflict when he's religious as well as dwells on such stuff, I found it odd.
And then the intimacy before marriage just set set off the record for me atleast.
The language (consider it healthy for the next book

Just completed reading. So here is my detailed review about your first effort
I shall start with the positive points which I got while reading. Most important thing is to be aware of the fact that how to play with a readers mind. Undoubtedly, you are blessed
with this talent.
I like your way of portraying things. Plus you have enlightened the fact simply and beautifully ; sufferings enhance the real and best shade of nature. Plot was not that strong but as it is the first effort ; its excellent.
Negative points.
Try to eliminate the element of monotony while writing. You can write beyond excellence by avoiding to put the element of typicality . some scenes were as I have read or seen many times in movies.
Transformation of Zarish a childish girl to a mature women actually depicts your mature approach but still it could have elaborated more deeply. Focus on explaining human complex temperament as it is the flesh and blood for any author to prove the ability.
I know its too lengthy paragraph but I always feel its a responsibility of reader to make the author know about views;)
I loved reading it. Best of luck for future. Tc

hei sara... I want to rate this book with a trillion rather zillion stars by leiu of goodreads' app. restrictions I have to rate this book with only 5 stars. emmm the book was just amazing. . the word "Amazing" is so tiny if I compare the word with the story of the novel.
the story throughout the epilogue leads the different kind of human nature. every character possesses unique personality as well as thoughts.
as we find in the novel "Pride and Prejudice" the first impression is not the last impression same here we find in ur Affinity.
I really appreciate your efforts :-) If you compile this book into a movie or some drama stuff I believe that it will go beyond. in the end, I would like to say that Sara u did a great job. May you become the greatest writer of the Asian countries and break the record of Shakespearean Age, Augusten Age.. samuel Beckett age etc.. bestest luck :-) i will be awaiting for ur next masterpiece. :-) and the last thing this story will remain in my mind forever. A great romantic tragedy by a Pakistani young talent

Undying affinity is good romance novel. This novel grasp the attention of reader and keep him/her focused on it and try to visualize the scenes in his/her mind. I must say everyone must give a try to attempt this novel as it shows the love story of two different persons with their different thoughts. In this novel writer writes "everything is a part of destiny's plan", it basically is because everything comes on time. Our creatures has already decide what is good or bad for us if a person is good for us then surely HE will give you. and when HIS will comes then in this world no one can that person from you because HE/SHE is only made for you.
P.S. With respect, SARA NAVEED your thoughts are good and your way of writing is too good as it grasp the attention of reader. Personally i have never read novel in my life, this is the one i have read first time. I really enjoyed reading it. Keep writing with your good thoughts.
Thankyou

Oh my, this book. I loved it from beginning to end. I even loved the acknowledgments and the picture on the dedication page of some Fawad Khan - probably a known personality from Paki-land. While reading the book, I could only picture that person as Ahmar Murad.
I started it yesterday, in the subway, when I was coming back from German class. And then I got home, took a shower (if only they could make waterproof Kindles) and got back to it. I literally couldn't put the book down. Today I spent the entire day reading and here we are. I haven’t read a book this fast in a while, and I haven’t loved a book this much in a while. I’m head over heels in love with this book, seriously.
I adored Ahmar and Zarish as they reminded me of my BF and I. Lol
THE ENDING OF THE BOOK! ^_^

Sara, I would love to read more of your work. I love your idea of writing romance!
