This book was very stereotypical of what a teenage life is known to be; losts of partying, alcohol, drama, freindship and relationships. I was not impressed by the authors use of characters or theme. It is all of what many of us have seen previously in movies, other books, and television shows. However, if you are a person interested in this kind of material, this book is for you. I feel that these themes have been overly exaggerated and should be changed.

If you are looking for "old rock days", you can read this book for "recommendation".
I'm joking.
You know sometimes, the nicest people have the darkest side. The prettiest is the one who's insecure. The one whose got the "sharpest" tongue is the "sharpest" mind. The only boy feels like he's being dramatic and he loves all those girls.
Sigh. Teenage life is full of drama..

I really wasn't happy with this book. It was an easy read but just very fake. I would just cringe most of the time I read stupid stereotypical lines throughout the book. I was really bummed because the back of the book describes it as being very different from the way it really is.

I suppose you shouldn’t read this at 26. This is the second book from my teenage years I revisited. If you’re 13, go ahead, it’s okay. If you’re 26, go find a job.

Wynn que em uma festa de final de ano no escritório de advocacia do padrasto descobriu - após alguns copos de champanhe - que tinha jeito para tocar bateria;

...like a lot of other books of this genre (or ilk if you will), I liked it for what it was and for the reading experience it gave me, and really that's maybe, sometimes, the most we can ask for from a book....

6X is told from 4 perspectives. It is the story of a band and their rise to fame. You have 'The Body' - Wynn, a spoilt rich girl with a body most girls would kill for. But it doesn't go to her head, she is actually quite quiet and reserved, until she picks up her drumsticks that is then she can rock it out.
Then it's 'The Voice' - Kendall, a nice Christian girl, strict up bringing but the voice of an angel, not used to rock star living, but willing to adapt. Quiet and a bit chubby but mostly happy with who she is.
The it's 'The Boss' - Stella, a sassy black girl who knows what life is all about. You've got to work for what you want and not take no as an answer. She is fierce so watch out.
Then lastly 'The Boy' - A/B the only natural musician, gone through many bands with no success but taking off now mixed with the girls, if only he could keep his mind on the music.
The book is split so each character has a chapter, they take it in turns and it's written in first person. It is supposed to be that they are doing a video diary of their journey to stardom. You have to remember who is narrating each chapter but I found that quite easy (it does tell you at the start of each chapter) and the characters are so different personality wise that you can keep track quite well.
I liked Stella best - she is so upfront and no nonsense. The sort of person that will turn to you and say 'stop moaning, get on with it!' which I have been known to do. It's no insensitive just practical!
Kendall is the most surprising and changes the most throughout the book.
I didn't think I was going to enjoy this book, but I ended up really hooked. It is a great idea and really works. It's quite an easy read, I read it in about 3 hours. It really does read like they are talking to you so makes it flow better and read quicker.
I m curious about book 2 but this one does come to a fairly good end so I'm desperate to get the next one.
This book is great as a beach / lazy summer read. Witty and funny in places, it deals with al sorts of things but doesn't shove it in your face, you've got body image, first love, sex, friendship, trust, loyalty, family issues. But it is all dealt with honestly and just as part of the plot, like a normal life story. Because it has a couple of references to sex I would recommend for over 15's but there isn't anything graphic so I wouldn't worry too much.

This book I would not recommend to much people though. It was be improve greatly by some but would not satisfy many people. It goes in the point of view of four teens who lives are entangle in this Rock and Roll band business. One person cares much about style and really selfish. The other is involve in sex and some other girl is all about looks and money.
The one thing that seem interesting was that it had multiple point of views so that you can see more sides and have an accurate judgment on whose right and whose wrong. Some questions I would have for this book is what kind of lifestyles the girls and the boy have when they were not in the band.

An advertisement featuring excepts from each character in a magazine had me rushing straight from the dentist office to the bookstore to buy 6X: The Uncensored Confessions. I was drawn in by the ties to the music industry and loved the idea of the book being told by four different narrators which really lets you get to know each member of the band.

Thinking about it now 6X is a bit of a fluffy read with some of the major issues not being that much of issues, others being obvious and some being a shock. Loose ends are left and are picked back up in the sequel. Personally I like 6X much better than the sequel, but still it's a good series.

I just read this book, 6X: The Uncensored Confessions, and it wasn't bad but it left me hanging in so many ways. It was told from 4 different people's perspective, and there was some obvious disconnect in the writing. And I thought I knew one character, and then they'd go off and do something that I found uncharacteristic.. andthe ending was abrupt and made no sense.. and the summary on the back was very misleading, promising a potential scandal between this one girl and this guy.. but that never materialized.

This book was horrible. It was like every other generic mainstream "oh woe is me my life as a teenager" novel. It just makes me want to gauge my eyes out and use this book as a device in said gauging. DO. NOT. READ. Unless you like horrible teenager blonde drama. I would not wish this horrible death upon any of my enimies, let alone a friend.

Told in the 4 voices of the band members - the body, the voice, the boss and the boy (not particularly delineated, but it ain't great literature people!) this would be a dishy summer fluffy read.

There's some drama - some you don't see coming, some that's painfully obvious, and some that's unresolved (and presumably continued in the sequel.)

Four kids on the fast track to pop-rock superstardom reveal the unfiltered truth about the glamorous, backstabbing world. Kendall, Wynn, Stella, and A/B love the passion for rock 'n roll. Up and Downs have happened a lot but over all this is a pretty good book. This is the book for you if you like the higher level types. This book is a Non-Fiction book. Hope you like it just as much as i did!

Despite of the fact that this book is a nothing-new-kinda-story thing, it's not that bad to read especially when you're just looking for something light to read in your spare time. Quite enjoyable and absolutely "pop corn".

Now here's a book that's quite amusing. I love how it flips through 4 different views ( the black chick/The Boss/ I can't remember her name is my favorite!) and how it's portrayed as the band's video diary. ]:) Great book with some laughs and plenty of 'I know how many people who would loooove this book'. Great stuff! Hahaha!

This book is quite funny, sometimes boring. However, I never really got bored reading this kind of book, I always wanted to know what would each of those teenager say next, so it was kinda hard to put this book down after I started reading.

I borrowed this book from someone and as it's short, I decided to finish reading it. The premise sounded good at first but it wasn't as enjoyable as a story. Some of the characters are either kinda boring for me to care about or unlikable especially by the end.
