If I Only Knew may very well be my new favorite Corinne Michaels book. It was emotional, sexy, funny, and I loved everything about it!
Danielle is a widow. In a surprising tragedy, she lost her husband and her children lost their father. Adjusting to life without him has not been easy for any of them. Danielle is surviving. She is doing the best she can for her and her kids. She's working, spending time with them, trying to keep her teenage daughter in line, and that's about it. She recently got a promotion at work, which is great. Love is the last thing on her mind.
Milo is in America to take back what is rightfully his. A head position in his brother's company. The position Danielle is now in, to be exact. At first, Milo seems like a bit of a spoiled brat. But he's not, not anymore anyway. When he first meets Dani, he is struck by her beauty, but knows he can't go anywhere with it. Getting his job back has to be his priority.
This book is a work-place romance and has a bit of that enemies to lovers troupe we all love so much. I loved watching Dani and Milo work together and get to know each other more. Seeing Dani come out of her self and her grief and realize maybe she can love again. Seeing Milo realize there are more important things out there than his job and being willing to sacrifice anything and everything for Dani. It was a truly beautiful thing.
The group of friends in these books... they're amazing! I love all of the girls, but I think Dani and Kristin are the two that are most relate-able to me so I was really happy to get this book. Dani has a lot of strength. She's a great mom and a fabulous heroine. And I adored Milo. I mean... swoon. He was the best. And listening to his chapters on this audio book with that accent... sigh.
Corinne did an incredible job with If I Only Knew. It was heartwarming, steamy, passionate, intense, and emotional. The writing was great as always, and listening to the audio was amazing. If you love audio books, be sure to pick this one up!

I am happy to report going in blind once again, has mostly paid off ;)
Hottie and confirmed bachelor, Milo, and co-worker, Danielle, are at constant odds. He is determined to take what she has, and she is determined to keep it, no matter what.
Tension and hostility builds both professionally and personally, as well as intense chemistry, but both refuse to give an inch.
"I mean what I say. I've seen the downside of marriage, and I want no part of it. However, when I find that girl who knocks me on my arse and makes it unbearable to be away from her, she'll know I chose her. I chose to love her against my will to be single. That's the girl I'm looking for, but I don't think she exists."
The blurb does not indicate this is part of a series, but there are many characters within this storyline who have already been featured in three other previously released books. I have not read them, and felt this one stands quite well all on its own.
If you are a Corrine Michaels fan, you will most likely love this read. If you also don’t mind potty mouth women, whose language I found tedious and distracting, this is a steamy, humorous second chance romance with a rather swoony “H” and an independent, take no prisoners “h.”
Danielle’s children, ages sixteen and five, stole the show, IMHO!!

“If I only knew the man who wanted to ruin me would end up being the man who put me back together, I would’ve never fought it to begin with.”
I AM SMITTEN! Complete and utterly smitten. God, this story swept me off my feet and the audio was just sinfully delicious! Both narrators—Sophie Eastlake and Shane East—captured the characters so perfectly well, and they had the British accent down pat. Especially Shane East narrating Milo’s POV—it was like this rich, decadent chocolate you won’t ever want to get enough of! I don’t even know how I survived listening to the entire thing without combusting. All I know is that this book was so vividly riveting and incredibly good.
“Why do you always say the perfect thing?”
“Because you’re the perfect woman for me. Our hearts aren’t two beating as one. They’re the same heart that finally found its rhythm.”
I loved Milo Huxley. It was so gratifying to finally see his true colors. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from him, knowing what I did after reading Not Until You. But after listening to this, I’m a complete goner. He stripped down his walls, peeled off his layers, and bared his heart and soul for all of us. He definitely proved that he was so much more than just the younger, happy-go-lucky brother of Callum’s who didn’t have a care in the world. He might’ve not been looking for love or a relationship or anything more than just random hookups, but he didn’t see Danielle coming either. Or how much he’d be taken by her so quickly and fervently—baggage and all.
“I see you. I wish I didn’t sometimes. You can continue to push back, and that’s fine, but I’ve been dealing with people doing it to me my entire life, Danielle. I’ve gotten bloody good at fighting back and I’ll fight for you.”
Danielle Bergen is the last in this amazing group of friends to get her own book, and it was damn worth every single second of the wait. Recently becoming a widow with two kids, Danni’s trying to get back on her feet and still give them the life they deserve. This woman was like a warrior princess. I can’t even imagine having to handle your rebelling teenage daughter alone, along with the most adorable, superhero-loving five-year old kid. But with the help of her friends, Danni was able to get back up, get a better job, and even meet a man whom she never expected to embrace her little family the way he did in the process. She was fierce and badass, and she deserves the life and happy ever after she finally got with Milo.
I wanted, more than anything, to be loved so deeply that it gave me life.
And I must say, Parker—Danni’s five-year old son—is the absolute sweetest! I just want to snatch him up and keep him for myself. I loved the sheer innocence he has, but at the same time, he’s so deeply connected and in tune with his mom. It was just so heart-melting and endearing to witness!

If you want to laugh out loud and be entertained by the best squad of friends you’ll ever read about… If you want to fall head over heels, swoon your heart out, and be filled to the brim with spine-tingling feels… then I highly recommend you read this. If I Only Knew was definitely a heart-fluttering, soul-filling must read that will leave you begging and craving for more. Another phenomenal read from Corinne Michaels!

If I Only Knew is my first book by Corinne Michaels. I have heard good things about her books, but hadn't previously had the opportunity to read any of them yet. And then I got the opportunity to listen to If I Only Knew on audio. Now I find myself in that place that fellow book lovers can sympathize with where I wonder what the heck was I thinking holding off so long.
This story was everything I love about romance and had me completely caught up in it. I loved the main characters Milo and Danielle. I loved their hate to love relationship. I loved Milo's sense of humor. I loved Danielle's strength after a horrific tragedy. I loved everything about them including the fact that they were a little more relatable to me as a woman closer to 40 than the early to mid twenties of the couples I'm usually presented with in romance books. Danielle knew about the ups and downs of marriage even if Milo was just really learning about relationships. And Danielle understood the daily joys and headaches that come along with parenthood. Again, there was quite a bit about this book I could really connect with.
This book made me laugh and tear up and just get that happy feeling once it was all over. The narrators did an amazing job. These are two voices I will be looking for in future listens because I know that I'm going to enjoy the way they tell a story. And Corinne Michaels is an author I absolutely have to read more of to experience what I have clearly been missing out on.

OMG, this book just completely swept me away! Fun, funny, sweet, emotional, romantic, functional and so, so swoony, it’s a beautiful love story and I freaking loved it!
This book is the fourth in a series of interconnected standalones about four girlfriends – each of whom are absolutely fabulous! You don’t have to have read all of the previous books to enjoy this one (you can find the reading order here), but if you’re an OCD reader like me who likes to have all of the backstory and read books in order, I would definitely recommend it.
Danielle’s world was upended when her husband was tragically killed. Now raising their two children on her own, she is trying to balance being a mother to an adorable five year old son and a hell-raising 16 year old daughter, supporting them through their grief, dealing with her own grief and gearing up for the upcoming trial of her husband’s murderer. On top of that, she’s just been given a promotion at work and is finally stretching her legs in the business world after being held back for so many years. It’s hectic, but she’s managing to keep her head above water – just.
Milo Huxley is the brother of Callum from Not Until You. Wealthy and privileged, when we were first introduced to Milo, I thought he was an entitled, irresponsible douche, and we get to see a bit of his spoiled nature in this book when he arrives in the US from England to claim back the job that he believes is his – the very job that Danielle has just been given. And when his brother (and CEO of the company) gives him a job as Danielle’s Assistant as payback for his slacking off, he makes it his mission to get rid of her so that he can take what he believes is his rightful place.
It’s a fantastic dynamic from the start, and there’s a delicious enemies-to-lovers vibe as Danielle and Milo battle it out. Begrudgingly, they do acknowledge each other’s skills and they work well together, but it’s not until Milo sees Danielle in a vulnerable moment and he is there to support her, that things begin to change. A friendship forms that very quickly becomes more as they naturally and unexpectedly develop feelings for each other, and then it’s all on!
OMG, the feels! The chemistry! The sexual tension! It’s all fantastic as Danielle and Milo laugh together, open up and share their lives and fall hard. Neither of them saw it coming, they didn’t want or expect it, but it happens and they don’t fight it, they just let it happen, and I loved every moment! It’s sweet, fun, sexy and swoony, and so freaking functional! There’s no game playing or unnecessary angst, and though they both have personal things to work through, they accept the changes that a relationship brings to their lives, realising exactly what it is they could have together and openly embracing it.
It’s a swoonfest that had me absolutely captivated, but life has more surprises in store for them, and they will be pushed to the limit as they figure it all out. I cried both sad and happy tears as it all played out, and I loved watching them deal with it all honestly and functionally as they fought for their much-deserved happy ending.
I love these characters! Danielle is so real and relatable as a grieving widow and a mother trying to do the best for her family. She’s smart, fun and funny, and I loved her journey. And Milo absolutely stole my heart. The arrogant British hottie is full of charm, and his character progression throughout the story is just fantastic. He has a lot of growing up to do, but he proves to be an absolutely incredible romantic hero – supportive, loving, romantic and so freaking sexy. Shout out, too, to Danielle’s kids who bring so much the story, making me laugh and swoon all over again.
The characters from the previous books all appear, in particular the girls, and I love this group of friends! They are loyal and supportive without fault, and their absolute honesty with each other is hilarious! They have such a fun dynamic, and seeing them together is a real treat.
I listened to this as an audiobook and the narration is just fantastic! Sophie Eastlake and Shane East do a fantastic job bringing these characters to life – even including the English accent! Usually with an audiobook I’ll listen while driving or doing housework, with this one I also just sat there doing nothing but listening intently so that I didn’t miss a thing, and I finished it in a day. Definitely one I recommend listening to!
So, so beautiful, I love this book so much and look forward to many rereads in the future.

This author has the uncanny ability to make you tear up in one chapter and have you in a laughing fit the next. Be prepared to have your emotions go every which way because Corinne will make you work for that happily ever after that we all crave.
I don’t know if you all are ready for the likes of Milo Huxley. He will charm you and exasperate you in the span of a single chapter. He truly is a great guy when the walls come down and you get to experience the bond that forms with our amazingly strong heroine. Danielle has been through hell and back and tragedy and experience has taught her to be strong, to be a rock for her children. It’s not always easy, as we get to see in many scenes in this fantastic book, but she does make it look like it. I absolutely ADORED Milo and Danielle together. They fed off of one another mentally, emotionally, and sexually, of course. It’s not always an easy road for these two, but Ms. Michaels doesn’t dissapoint with their happily ever after.
I’m a HUGE fan of all things Corinne Michaels, but there was something about this book that was a cut above the rest. It has her beautiful brand of emotional storytelling, but the storyline and these characters hit me square in the chest. The feeling that I experienced throughtout this book was amazing and truly unforgettable. Beautiful cover to beautiful cover, this charming and emotional romance was EVERYTHING!

5 “Made Me Smile” Stars
The 4th in a series of standalones about a group of forever girlfriends. I absolutely loved this one. From the very beginning to the very end, this author made use of all my emotions. I laughed, I cried, I felt pain and grief, and I felt hope for Danielle Bergen. And while the story had a sadness to it, it was love that ultimately brought back joy and life to a family that had lost a husband and father.
Enter Milo Huxley. He has a beef with the person who has taken his job and he has come to do whatever he must to regain his job. But Danielle has no intention of giving up her job. And when these two meet, they are adversaries but have a quick and witty banter. There is a push and pull from enemies to friend to lovers.
Danielle is surviving her grief with the help of her family of girlfriends, Nicole, Kristen and Heather. They are fiercely loyal to one another, they speak the truth to one another, and they ferociously mettle in each other’s lives. They have the best banter and it is just very fun to read and be a part of these ladies lives. I absolutely love these 4 ladies.
As Danielle and Milo work together and get to know one another, the sexual tension starts to climb and eventually skyrockets. But Danielle has lots on her plate.....her children, an angry teenager, a looming trial, her job, her grief, her friend’s concern for her and Milo, who has somehow given her hope once again.
This a great enemies to lovers, office and second chance romance. It is beautifully written and is packed with lots of emotions. From crying to smiling, this book just made me feel good and I loved every word. I’m a little sad that this series is over but so happy that all these girlfriends found love and that they keep their friendships like family.
Thank you Corinne Michaels for Heather, Kristen, Nicole and Danielle. Oh and I can’t forget all their yummy husbands too!! And also, the extra bonus epilogue was really nice......just an extra cherry on an already wonderful, fabulous delicious sundae.

Loved, loved, loved! This series is one of my favorite things EVER!! 🖤
Corinne Michaels has scratched herself on my last of favorite authors. Gah! Milo did it for me in a very big way. I listened to the audiobook via Audible First and was absolutely blown away.
Danielle and Milo’s story is SO GOOD!! She’s recently widowed; he’s dealing with family drama and internal struggles. She’s recently been promoted to a job that he considers his. To say their initial meeting didn’t go so well is an understatement. I was beyond humored by his antics.
What I loved:
Both main characters. They both made an impact. I’m not typically a lover of the heroines, but she spoke to me on an elemental level. She’s a mom, wife (widow), busy career woman, who is just trying to do the best to hold her family together. Her drive to care for her kids while also dealing with their shit entertained me so much. Especially her daughter! Fingers crossed my little stays as sweet as she is now. 🤣🤣
Milo is a sweetheart! Though he didn’t initially start out that way. I thought he was a flake while reading the last book and never considered I’d love him this much. But alas, I fell hard.
The secondary characters are my favorites. I love this ladies and their bond.
As also, I just dig this authors writing. I love the way she sets up the story and she delivers on making me feel and thoroughly entertaining me throughout.

The perfect ending to my favorite series from Corinne Michaels! This group of ladies own my heart. Their friendship, their support of each other, their love for one another is the epitome of what friendship should be, and I loved this part of the stories as much as I loved the romance.
Danielle and Milo have the best chemistry. They start out as a bit of enemies to lovers, and I loved the moments of antagonism and the grit Danielle showed to keep Milo in his place. Milo has that cheeky charm that draws you in, and his handling of the family dynamics is so spot on that readers can’t help but love him.
The story has many subplots running that all work into the overarching romance, creating a truly flawless story of a family healing and finding peace with a brand new future. It is quintessential Corinne Michales romance, heartbreakingly beautifully and ending with hope and love and happiness.
The narrators are fantastic! So fantastic! Milo’s accent is delicious. For me, with audiobooks, the narrators doing the other character’s voice is hit or miss for me, but these two nailed it!
I love this book and series of stand-alones. Definite rereads. Definite need to have it on my shelf. Definite must read.

I fell soo hard in love with this story. I started this book with some background knowledge of Danielle and Milo since they were introduced in prior books of this series (a group of 4 best friends). I will say that the character development was incredible because what I thought I knew before was nothing. Here I was able to REALLY get to know them. AND I loved every minute of it.

Corinne literally just wrote my favorite book. I can’t say enough about it. I loved Danielle so much. I want to be in her tribe. She’s a rockstar mom who was dealt more than she thought she could handle but she was so much stronger than she ever thought. And Milo. My love. My favorite BBF. Amazing, arrogant, cocky, sexy beast with a heart of gold. This book gave me all the feels and left me with the biggest smile ever!

Where do I even start? Can I just send a bag of D to CM in the mail and call it a day?
I think what I loved most about this series is that while it falls into the rom-com genre, it was packed full of emotions. I can sometimes struggle with the straight, by the book, rom-coms out there, while fun, I need to have some major feels tear me apart while reading. Corinne Michaels is the queen of tear your heart out writing. I think she may actually use our turmoil for substance to keep her black heart beating.
If I Only Knew (IIOK) is the fourth in a series of standalones that follow a group of friend and while each book can be read independently, I encourage you to read them all. These four gals are amazing and are all paired with equally amazing men.
I've felt like after the prior three books, I've gotten to know Danielle - develop a little girl crush on her. And well, man-child Milo from the last book was a hero I just had to meet. There was something about him that just screamed, FIX ME, I'M BROKEN - WHY WON'T SOMEBODY LOVE ME?!?!?!
Don't worry Milo, I'll love you.
Danielle's world has been ripped apart, losing her husband, dealing with two kids (one who is taking out all her anger on her mom) and starting a new job. A job that Milo wants. But when he's put in his place and forced to be her assistant, his devilish plan to reclaim the VP title is put on the back burner as he watches her struggle with her loss and the landscape of her new life.
I think what I loved the most about this particular story was that the angst wasn't driven by the characters. Danielle's life was enough. Milo and her were just so easy together, it was effortless.
There were some amazingly funny parts to this story - I loved that that my emotions were all over the place. It made the experience feel all that more real. I am sad to say goodbye to these characters.

Oh my gosh you all! One click this book right away! This book was my favorite Corinne Michael's book to date and I loved them all! I couldn't have fell more in love with the characters in this book. The friends feel so relatable . Witty one liners, sarcastic crazy and I may have shed a tear or two. From start to finish this book had me head over heels, Milo and Dani and the kids swoon worthy! Honestly I have such a book hangover. I couldn't put it down but then I didn't want it to end. Corinne Michael's can write like no other!!! ONE CLICK WORTHY EVERY DAMN TIME!

I'm in awe of this story. If you have read this set of stand-alone books in this series, you know all about Danielle's life, children and heart break. Leave it to Milo to come in and change the way she thought her life would go.
We know a little about Milo from Callum and Nicole's story, but not why he is the way he is. When he meets Danielle, his entire purpose changes. He truly is a perfect Brit, full of sarcasm and the ability to be there for her, even when she doesn't realize she needs him.
Trials and tribulations occur, throwing Danielle into a life changing stage, and the only place for Milo is to be there for her. As in most books, there are things that happen that puts a spin on their growing relationship. How will her children adjust to their mom dating? How will Danielle accept the fact that she's relying on Milo more than she should? Is this change worth all of the heart break she had endured in the past? Please read/listen to this book. It's a life changing moment for all involved.
I voluntarily reviewed this from the author. I'm sad this is the end to the series, but so thankful I can read or listen to these awesome characters anytime I want. And if you love audiobooks, The narrators in this audio portion of the book are 100 percent on point. Perfect in every way.

This is Danielle and Milo's story. It is sweet, sexy, sassy, and heartbreaking. Danielle is navigating a new chapter in her life after tragedy. Milo is coming to terms with how people perceive him outwardly. They are forced to work together and through the journey learn about themselves. I really enjoyed all the heartbreak and sassiness that both characters brought to the table. The narrator obtained for Milo...OMG his voice just melts your panties with every word he spoke. I will miss these ladies oh so much!!

I read 3 books from this series and it seems they are not my cuppa because I only loved one of them. This was again just an OK read but I must say I got bored and tended to skip pages.

The plot & the characters:
This is about Danielle whose husband was killed 16 months ago. There are scenes from the trial of the suspect in the book and I thought it would go somewhere interesting but nope, all were just ordinary scenes of trial until he is convicted and sentenced to some jail time; thus, without anything interesting about it, they felt like a page filler to me.
Danielle has two children, a daughter and a son. She is about to be 40. And our hero Milo is 41 years old. He is single and he never had a relationship. His life was all about fun.
Milo comes from London to America to get his job back in the company he and his brother own. However, because of his absence and his reckless life, his brother Callum has already given his job to Danielle. Therefore, Danielle and Milo first start their relationship as enemies. Callum says he can be her assistant (most probably until he earns his trust?) and Milo accepts it, all the while thinking how he can kick her out and take his position back.
Now, there was a bit of banter between these two but then, they got close and affectionate all too quickly. I just didn’t get how they fell for each other so quickly.
The character of Milo wasn’t convincing, it all felt like a cartoon character to me. Once he was a playboy but as soon as he sees this widow with two children, all his character, his way of life and his plans for future change. Well, I wasn’t convinced. He was too perfect all of a sudden… way too perfect. He did not make even one mistake.
Milo's complete 180 would be more natural if it were gradual but it was too quick and too smooth to be real. Maybe the character development was lacking so it all felt too unbelievable to me… too superficial.
Milo was so sweet so affectionate, so sexy and so perfect that it forced the boundaries of cheesiness to a great deal!
Danielle first hesitates about going into a relationship with Milo but then when she does, she has sex with him for the first time in her office on her office desk. I didn’t like it. And also I didn’t like it when their second sex was in her house and in the very bed she had sex with her husband for so many years. Well, it’s me, I can’t help it; the time, the place matter to me… the “where”s, “how”s and “why”s all matter to me. If the writer wants me to take it as “romantic” or “sexy”, she should never use the bed where she slept with her husband before. It spoils the whole romantic and hot atmosphere for me. It could have been a different house or it could have been a redecorated and renovated house. Oh, even a redecorated bedroom would do it for me but the very same one was so not romantic at all! And it was a scene of romantic love-making.
The teenage daughter was really problematic at the beginning but then she was all good after the magic Milo touch – again, I didn’t get how?!
As I said, Milo was way too supportive and understanding to the whole "widow with two children" situation. He even suggested that they put the box that contains the ashes of the dead husband on the mantelpiece in the house where they lived after getting married, which melted Danielle's heart to a puddle. And I was yelling, "WTF? Why did the writer need to include such a scene?" OK, maybe I am the bitchy one here, not being able to see the value of this particular scene and appreciate it but I started to read this book for the romance between Danielle and Milo and I was reminded the ghost of the dead husband way too many times! Weren't all the scenes of the trial enough?
Writing & Safety:
The writing is dual point of view and the book is totally safe with no cheating. No OW/OM after they meet.
I read books by this writer that I loved and 5-starred (The Consolation Duet) but except for "We Own Tonight" to which I gave 4 stars, I guess this series didn’t do it for me. Sorry.. But I’ll keep reading from this writer in the hopes of finding another epic love story as in "The Consolation Duet".

'If I Only Knew,' is a super sweet and lovely story with a heart-warming enemy-to-lovers romance at its core.
A tragedy in the heroine’s life is the catalyst of the story. It showed her strength of character, her resilience and made me feel invested in her thoughts and feelings. The scene is then perfectly set for the enemy-to-lovers aspect of the storytelling to shine bright with the arrogant and very, very sexy Milo Huxley.
I very much enjoyed the way the story and plot develops within this standalone, easy to read romance. I have to add that the last 20 ish% was particularly wonderful and the bonus epilogue, a real treat.

I cried....I mean literally cried when I started reading. Danielle and Milo’s story was pure perfection of two people who are lost and are searching; for Milo, he isn’t sure yet what he is searching for; but for Danielle, it’s how to live the new life that she has been handed.
With every book that Ms. Michaels writes and brings to us, the readers, she gives characters with so much depth, feeling and flaws that you are able to actually read the story of the characters and imagine that YOU are there, YOU are experiencing everything that those characters are feeling.
If you are looking to read a book about two people that are in for the ride of their lives, then If I Only Knew is the book for you!!! It is a must read!!!

I have read every book by Corinne Michaels. She has wonderful series, s tandalones and now she has outdone herself with If I Only Knew!
If I only Knew brings youg so much heartbreak for Dani and Milo is so full of himself. Dani and her children lost their husband and dad and they are still trying to get past everything that has happened. Poor Milo just wants a job that should be his and is willing to do whatever is necessary to get that job OR so he thinks.
The sparks and chemistry are off the charts between Dani and Milo. We’ve loved Dani in the past books, but in If I Only Knew we get to see the real Milo. Holy Crap - the real Milo is so adorable and hot.
This is a must read book by Corinne Michaels, but just listening to Milo and his accent will leave you breathless.

This! This beautiful love story is pure perfection and exactly why I love to read/listen to audio! It was so passionate, romantic, emotional and raw. I wanting to find out more about Danielle since her heartbreaking loss in Ms. Michaels book, Not Until You, and it did not disappoint! We also meet Milo again and he is so sweet, sarcastic, and deliciously sexy! He is an unapologetic playboy but was blindsided by the strong, smart, sexy woman. Underneath, Danielle is struggling to survive as a single working parent after the sudden loss of her husband. She and Milo are broken in similar ways, that draw them to each other. I really cared for them both, and loved how their relationship unfolded and grew. This emotional story is loaded with sexual tension, smoking hot passion, and witty banter. Ms Michaels created a beautifully multifaceted story about real people who are interesting, fun, and easy to connect with.
Narrators Sophie Eastlake, and Shane East gave a flawless performance with exquisite accents, and perfect timing and delivery. Eastlake expertly brought out all the turmoil in Danielle's life. I love how she made me experience all Danielle's excitement, concern, pain and passion. I was totally lost to East's smooth, rich, voice, and he had me totally swooning as he brought the conflicted but sexy Brit to life, helping to make Milo one of my very favorite heroes.
This book is the perfect combination of everything I crave in a story. It’s sweet, witty, romantic, poignant, and steamy passion, all rolled into one breathtaking and amazing audio experience!

Danielle Bergen had her perfect life ripped away from her and she's left struggling to keep her family from falling apart. With a rebellious teenager and young son to raise, most days she feels like a failure, but despite that, she's killing it at work. So much so, she earns a pretty sweet promotion...the only problem is her new hunky, British assistant is out for her job.
Milo Huxley was just so unexpected though! I won't deny that he comes off as a selfish playboy when you first meet him, but, that's just because he hadn't found the right woman yet. His plan to win back his job is a fleeting memory as he gets to know Danielle. He helps her find closure, learn how to smile, and eventually love again. Milo is beyond swoony and Danielle is so strong & resilient, that you can't help but to love these characters and want to live in their world with them. ❤

Can I give this story 100 stars?!

Y’all!! Milo *total swoon* Huxley is amazingly perfect, utterly sexy and completely arrogant. There is not one thing that I didn’t love about him. He consistently said all of the right things. There was absolutely no way Danielle wasn’t going to fall head over heels in love with that devastatingly handsome Englishman.

As a condition of coming back, Milo is forced to work as Danielle’s assistant in order to reestablish trust with the company. Their relationship is cordial at best: Danielle being all business, and Milo being a flirt.
Yet as they work together and discover more things about each other, a smoldering attraction develops between them until it bursts into a happy flame!
I listened to the audible version of this book and found it sweet, sultry, sassy and fun! I enjoyed getting sucked into their world led with the alternating voices of Sophie Eastlake and Shane East. Sophie doles out a solid performance that captures not only the headstrong yet vulnerable Danielle, but also the crazy antics of her friends and brooding teenage daughter. She also has a good “male voice” in narrating Milo’s dialogue- British accent and all!
Shane East delivers another solid performance with his portrayal of Milo. Aside from the dreamy British accent, his dramatic reading brought life to the words, especially emphasizing moments of anger, lust, and love. I felt it all resonate in his tone.
This is absolutely a great listen with an engaging storyline. Corinne Michaels is an author known to write a heartfelt story that delivers the FEELS, and this is no different. Definitely worth the read/listen!

This is the best Audible I have ever Listened to! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read

I was swept away by Danielle and Milo’s story. Milo is swoon worthy throughout and he’s a new contender for my favorite Corinne hero. By far my best read so far in 2019 and I didn’t want it to end!! “No one in this tribe walks alone” might just be my favorite book quote of all time...because this group of friends lives by that mantra. Loved it so much!!
