TINY FOOTCRUNCH was born out of emotions and sharpened by society’s waning attention span. It delivers vast thoughts through tiny poems. Ten universal emotions. Sadness. Joy. Anger. Kindness. Fear. Love. Confusion. Humor. Curiosity. Hope. Ten petite poems carefully crafted and shepherded into each bloodline. This collection speaks to the era of texting tweeting twittering fast-paced visually digestible media we live in every day. Literature has changed. Long-form storytelling through print is falling out of favor while comments, posts and captions increasingly become the new narrative. These tiny poems bridge that divide. Savor suck snack stay on them - they are not meant to be devoured as if bite-size chocolates. Rather, bravely peel each poem back and reveal the many layers provided by each word, each line, each thought that pops into your head right at that pivotal moment when you have a raw wild running whipping racing through the forest visceral reaction to these . . . words on a page.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Eclectic batch of poetry. I do not read a lot of poetry, however, I find poetry to be very soothing and inspiring. I liked that each poem related to a "feeling" or a "season," keeping it fresh and unique.
While I felt like most of the poems started out making sense and perhaps somewhat reminiscent of the author's childhood memories, as the poems continued, the poems became rather confusing. There were stanzas that did not make sense in reference to what had already been written or discussed or the overall poem topic. I appreciated the author's vulnerability in many of the poems, though I wish the stanzas had been more concise and consistent with the topic.
Overall, I think the author did a good job of portraying his thoughts in poetic form. I believe it could use some editing. For instance, the usage of the word "coypu" felt random and unnecessary, when a more well-known adjective could have been used. I had to google the meaning of the word, as I had no idea what it was. There are times when it warrants utilizing vocabulary like that. However, when the rest of the poem is informal, it felt confusing to use wording that would be unknown to the average reader.
I related to the beginning of the majority of the poems in this book, regarding the feelings and "memories" the author was trying to portray. As the poems continued, I think some tailoring and editing would have been helpful to continue to evoke the feelings and memories.
Where to begin?Awesome thoughts-and yes some hit me like a steamroller.I think I found one in each title that made me laugh out loud and/or agree with it.Fear-Maybe the baby won't like me either.Love-I will love you if the world ends and if it doesn't.Humor-golf is playing catch with yourself.Joy-smiling,I watch you gasp in my words. You are the sole architect of your soul. Caressing your spine smelling your chapters.Confusion-This is the last time we'll be tortured again.A great "tiny" book. Please do more.
Tiny Footcrunch is a journey of the author's life, describing about his little baby, his wife and anything related with them. I can feel his deepest love through these poems. My favorite one would be "Love".
A thought provoking, beautifully written collection of poems by a breakout author. I am looking forward to hearing more from him. Make sure to add this to your shelf.
