He cheated on her with her sister in law. Had sex with her three times that day and then regretted it. He then continued with sleeping around for years but only had to stop in the last year before he met h again because he became impotent after being mugged just after he’d had sex with another woman in an alleyway. She wasn’t any better having graphic sex with om in the book and pining away for the H loser. His words of regrets were just that words. He loved her but couldn’t keep it in his pants whilst he was with her or during their six years apart. I didn’t like either of them as characters so I couldn’t feel too sorry for her either!

Good story but H cheated on her and this is his explanation:

"There's no excuse, even though she knew exactly what to do, where to do it, and for how long. We had sex in the hall, in the bathroom, and in the bedroom. I regretted it then and I've regretted it ever since. It was the biggest mistake of my life and I'm so sorry. The look on your face when you walked in and saw us..." He grimaced.

So when did you regret it? After you had sex in the hall? Or maybe the bathroom? Or how about the bedroom? I know! You regretted it once you got caught! =) But in the end he doesn't do anything to redeem himself in my eyes.

This was definitely not my cup of tea.... on one side I am glad that the heroine did have other men in her life.. but honestly I really did not want to read about it. And then to have the hero tell her how many times he shagged her sister in law , the same woman he cheated on the heroine with. Why would he go into so many details? I was more interested in why he cheated but it never came around, it was always “it was the biggest mistake of my life, but yet you shagged her like 3 or 4 times in the very same apartment you live with the heroine?? No I am not buying it. Cause he even admitted that he had tons of women after she left. So no I am not buying that he felt he made a mistake, to me it felt he was sorry he got caught. And then he tells his sob story about be mugging and next thing you know they are loving each other again and what the end?? Yeah. Not buying the HEA!!

Cheating H
Doormat h.

H cheated on the pregnant h with her sister in law. Had sex with her 3-4 times in the same day at their own apartment before he felt guilt. The h walked in and found them.

After breakup, he became a manwhore for 6yrs, and only went back to the h after becoming impotent after being mugged. 🙄

Trust No One is a wonderful book detailing the path two people take to find love and ultimately forgiveness. Like all relationships, Becca and Stephen's journey is along a rocky road with danger and detours, but one well worth travelling. I loved this story. And for anyone hesitant to read it, don’t worry, the ending is perfect with no cliffhanger, and the last few pages will leave you with a smile on your face. This one is going right on the favorites shelf! Becca and Stephen are one of those couples that just belong together. Recommended Read!!

Skimmed mostly. Short read H is a cheating doesn’t really give a good explanation or grovel. So not well done in my opinion.

To be honest this was not good in any way. It was choppy. For a short book I thought it would be better. I started skimming when it wasn't getting anywhere I gave up. Should have never believe the rec from the group.

I saw this on My Good Reads feed and recalled that I read this years ago before I had a Goodreads Acct.So curiosity had me do a re read.An interesting little novella. However, the lack of detailed exploration of his infidelity was disappointing. That it was his biggest mistake doesn't cut it.If everything between them was so fabulous, why? And why with her? It was the driving factor for the entire storyline, so the fact that it is given but a glance is beyond infuriating!

Can you ever truly escape your past? This is a question which has plagued countless individuals throughout the ages. The desire to put everything behind oneself and move on to a brand-new life and wonderful opportunities. However, it is never quite that easy. People who are attempting to escape their past are in often in fact living in it. The result is that it will show right back up on their doorstep with a big wide smile! No…escaping your past is not such an easy thing to do! In Trust No One, Lizzy Grey pens a story which explores such a concept. For lovers of romance books which are blended with the powerful concepts of forgiveness and trust, this tale may just fit the bill.

The story primarily focuses upon the heroine Becca, and her love interest Stephen Connor. Becca was raised in a crime family and was earmarked to replace her mother as the top crime lord. Not wanting to live such a dishonest life, Becca joins the police instead and meets Stephen. The two quickly fall in love. Her own criminal family will have none of this however and proceed to threaten and sabotage Becca at every step. This leads to Becca leaving the police due to an “accident”, and then finding out that Stephen had cheated on her with her own Sister-in-law. What follows brings to mind the phrase, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!” Pregnant Becca goes underground after these events in an attempt to raise her young child and escape her miserable past. This is not to be however as another accident finds Stephen once again arriving in Becca’s life. He soon finds out that unbeknownst to him, he has a 6 year-old son. Will these two once again discover the love and passion which once defined them? Or are the deceit, betrayal and heartbreak of the past ultimately too deep to repair?

In regards to plot analysis, I would have to say that this is not your typical romance story. There is no doubt that there is certainly a high degree of sexual tension between the hero and heroine. Nevertheless, the tale is more about redemption and focusing upon one’s future in order to escape the mistakes of the past. In so doing, it explores the very rocky connection between Stephen and Becca which is fraught with suspicion, hurt and infidelity. Add some common elements of danger and you are left with what can only be described as a very convoluted relationship. These themes of infidelity and betrayal will certainly make it difficult for many readers to accept any type of reconciliation which may occur.

The main characters of Becca and Stephen did experience some growth throughout the story. However, a little more background could have been useful. For instance, the crime lord aspect was not really fully developed in much detail and seemed somewhat forced and out of place with Becca. This is more a book about infidelity and getting a second chance at love. Also, there is quite a bit of interaction which takes place between Stephen and his young son. While that is sweet in many respects, it ultimately detracts from the “steamy romantic” aspects of the story which many readers of the genre are looking for. While Stephen and Becca do grow and develop throughout the tale, in many ways they remain difficult characters to accept and empathize with. This in turn tends to stunt their full character development.

All in all, this story has good potential. Perhaps a longer version with more background could assist with a few of its shortcomings. I would rate this as adult only due to some explicit sexual scenes.

Both Becca and Stephen are messed up. Very messed up. And very messed up people do very messed up things.

Becca was brought up to replace her mother as the head of a family of drug dealers but she always felt that she didn't belong with them so she took the first opportunity to escape. She joined the police and met Stephen Connor. They fell in love but Becca's family wouldn't let her go and caused an accident which meant she had to leave the police.

Then, Stephen cheated on her with her sister-in-law and the pregnant Becca left him. During their six years apart, each tried to forget the other. Stephen trying to overcome it by sleeping around, and Becca by making their son, Tommy, the center of her life.

When Becca is involved in a traffic accident, Stephen comes back into her life. Can she ever trust him again? Can he ever forgive her for not telling him about Tommy? I won't spoil it anymore, except to say that BOTH Becca and Stephen cheat on each other, so if you don't like or approve of cheating, don't read this book. Simple as that.

I wanted to see if Sephen has got so used to sleeping around, he can't commit himself to one woman anymore and if Becca could trust him again after all he and her family put her through. I enjoyed Trust No One and I needed to know how it all turned out.
