Engaging

Stain completes the story of Breth and Jaelle love affair in the second book of her tine traveling love story. She is a fabalous story teller, who brings a little known sect of people to life. She presents a moving poignant story.

I loved this story, it was so fantastic that I read it in one sitting and....I just wanted it to go on and on!

This is the second book in this Time Travel Romance set, the first book, Time of the Celts, was every bit as good and, if you like a good story, a bit of time travel, a bit of romance and a bit of fun....these are the books for you.

Can't wait for the next one.

If you haven't had a chance to read any of Jane Stain's books yet....get to it as they are awesome.

A solid good read—but read them in order!

This whole series has kept me coming back. My only complaint is that they seem so short and are read too quickly. I enjoy the connections between the modern day characters.

Time of the Picts (Dunskey Castle, #5), my sixth read from author Jane Stain, an author I've wanted to read since I began acquiring her books back in 2017, I own 21 of them. I got this book back in October of 2017 & am just now getting around to reading it as I've committed to reading the Dunsky Castle series in its entirety. I look forward to the next book from her, Time of the Druids (Dunskey Castle #5). I'll read more from this author & in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Horrible writing... I kept reading because I wanted to know how the story ended. But I'm so thankful that the next book is about a different person so I'm not needing to read it! I had to read many passages over because it was so poorly written that it didn't make sense! It felt like she never even reread her own book... and she tried to put the old highlander speech in in several places and it totally didn't work. It took me days to read it because I couldn't make myself pick it up...

Worth it!

I read the first three books in Jane Stain's Dunskey Castle series and thought to skip books 4 and 5. Since both books dealt with the same characters, I thought I would be bored & frustrated that this set of characters took up over 400 pages. I am so glad I decided to read them! The story was riveting and is so far my favorite books in this series! Against all odds Jaelle and Breth's love blossomed. Timeless!

I read the first book and it just stops so got the second one..neither were that good. Hard to keep everyone and the time each person is in. I don't give up on books often but I am giving up on these.

Good

This book was a little better than The Celts but it was still slow reading. For some reason I couldn't find my connection with any of the characters.. I am going to skip the next book and go on to Lief.

They just keep getting...

They just keep getting better and better, the more books of Jane's that I read. I think by now I've read three in three days. I just can't put them down. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited...

A smooth tie into the previous stories continuing the tale.

It flows smoothly from where the last story ends. The characters from past stories are tied into this one and new characters are developed.

Time of the Picts is terrific

I really enjoyed reading Time of the Picts by Jane Stain. It really brought to life what may have been the history of the Picts. Jane, you keep on goin!

Time of the Picts

Excellent second book in the series. Seemed to short I didn't want it to end. John added a twist to the story. I didn't see that coming.
