Number-crunching Velma Johnson's perfectly planned life is right on course.
That's a lie. Sure, she's got the lucrative job. She's got the posh apartment. But her sister nabbed Velma's Mr. Right. There has to be a man out there for Velma. Hopefully, one who's hunky, wears pressed suits, and has a diversified financial portfolio. He'll be exactly like, well... her sister's new fiancé.
Badass biker Brek Montgomery blazes a trail across the country, managing Dimefront, one of the biggest rock bands of his generation. With the band on hiatus, Brek rolls into Denver to pay a quick visit to his family and friends. But when Brek's sister suddenly gets put on bed rest, she convinces Brek to take over her wedding planning business for the duration of her pregnancy.
Staying in Denver and dealing with bridezillas was not what Brek had in mind when he passed through town, but there is one particular maid-of-honor who might make his stay worthwhile.
Velma finds herself strangely attracted to the man planning her sister's wedding.
Problem is, he ticks none of the boxes on her well-crafted list. Brek is rough around the edges, he cusses, and doesn't even have a 401(k). But trying something crazy might get her out of the rut of her dating life--so long as she lays down boundaries up front and sticks to her plan...
Going Down on One Knee is book one of the Mile High Matched series. If you love a hunky, tattooed wedding planner this book is for you.

4 Blurb Worked & The Book Did, Too! Stars-ONLY 99 CENTS!!! * * * * Spoiler Free How many times have you read the blurb and thought... This is something I really want to read. It seems fun or sexy or intriguing...whatever. It hooked you and made you go click-click and the book was yours.
This book had a blurb that really laid out the idea of an uptight financial planner chick pinning for the guy she thought was all that. Instead, the "perfect guy" falls for her sister. Biker/Band Manager is the brother to the wedding planner who ends up not being able to do the wedding. Hence, the biker has to help and the two main characters end up working on the wedding together.
Cute, right...
Well, let me just say this book more than delivered. Everything fell right into place and we were right there every step of the way. It was fun, a bit quirky, and very sexy in a sweet way. I really loved Bret. He was everything you thought his character would be. He was consistent and not a dick. He had manners, caring, and loved his family. He also was quite taken with Velma and saw right through all of her insecurities and boundaries.
Velma was sweet but could be misguided... she was a 5-year plan girl, all spreadsheets and ratings. It was her quirk and it worked for the most part. The tingles she got from Bret couldn't be logged into a spreadsheet and it took her a hot minute to figure that out.
Although I had an idea of what the Major conflict would be, it worked and was resolved with a very satisfying conclusion. Again, this book lived up to its promise and that is a huge win for me.
The Mile High Matched series can be read in any order and each as a Stand-Alone:
I knew I had to read this the moment I laid eyes on the blurb, but I frankly did not expect to love this book as much as I ended up doing! This was my second Christina Hovland book and I probably enjoyed it even more than The Honeymoon Trap!
Going Down on One Knee is the perfect mix of humor, romance and smut! This had me howling in laughter at times, but I loved the message behind it all: you can’t plan love, and you don't choose who you love! Velma and Brek were perfect together, and I can’t wait to read the other books in this series to see who Jase (and Eli?) end up with!
Received a free copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
First book of the year for me and it was great! Since my babies’ nanny/housekeeper quit her job four months ago, i haven’t been able to find the time to read or write my reviews. I missed my pink fairytales so badly, that i vowed to myself to pick something up and this book was already marked as “currently reading” on GR, so here i am. I’M BAAAACK!
Now, Christina Hovland is a new author for me and i must say it was love at first chapter. Perfect chick lit to read on Monday, just to start your week with a huge smile on your face and lots of happy feelings. PG rated smuttness level, but still hot enough without so many words describing the off the charts chemistry between our characters. The heroine is a finance chick, super smart, organized and funny without even trying. The hero is a badass biker dude, who works in the music industry, but who needs to step in as a wedding player for his pregnant sister who’s on bed rest.
Hilarious situations, very nice side characters, perfect amount of drama and there you have it. I’m rating it with 4+⭐️, but not because there’s something wrong with it. Definitely worth of your time and money!
It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)
This is a well-written, entertaining, steamy, contemporary romantic comedy. It is a real page turner. The characters are likable and the romance is heart-warming. I truly enjoyed Pops' wisdom and the appearance of Babushka. I highly recommend that you access the bonus scene from the link at the end of the book. It is wonderful! This is the first entry in Ms. Hovland's outstanding "Mile High Matched" series. Each novel can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone, but they are even better when read in order.
The plot: Velma is really going through it. Not only is her twin sister (Claire) dating Velma’s former workplace crush (Dean) but they’ve also just announced their engagement. To complicate things further, Dean’s tattooed-with-a motorcycle-rock band manager-bestie (Brek) needs a place to stay while he’s in town and Velma is volun-told to let him stay in her spare room. Also, Brek is VERY clear that he’s down for a friends with benefits situation with his new roommate. Velma says no, until she says yes. Tale as old as time……
I’m changing things up and starting off with what I didn’t like 😂
What I didn’t like: Were there parts of Brek’s character that were charming? Sure! I loved how devoted he was to his mom and sister and he really seemed to care about the members of the band he managed. Also, the fact that he was willing to be a temporary wedding planner while his sister was on bed rest was sweet, and it led to quite a few hilarious moments in the book. My main issue with Brek was that it was as if he stepped out of an early 2000s rom com. His whole thing was that Velma was too uptight and the only thing that could loosen her up was his d*ck. It was giving Judd Appatow male character and it gave me the ick. He also completely cuts off communication after the third act conflict-while not giving Velma the opportunity to explain herself-which I will only accept from characters in historical romances. In this day and age we have way too many ways to communicate for someone to be pulling that sh*t. GROW UP, BREK 🤬
What I liked: I thought this would be a 27 Dresses situation where the sister and former crush would piss me off but I really loved Claire and Dean! They were so kind and supportive and Claire straight up says that had she known Velma had a crush on Dean, she would’ve never gone out with him 😭 Claire and Dean are both protective of Velma because Brek is known for not staying in one place long but once he makes his intentions clear, they’re all for their potential relationship. Grown ups acting like grownups? In a contemporary romance? We love to see it!
Other things that I liked:
The motorcycle scene 🔥 🥵 🏍️ The fact that Brek’s mom was a matchmaker Girlies who love spreadsheets representation (she’s just like me) Velma’s grandad 🥰😭❤️
Overall, this book was so fun and well-written that the ickier parts of the MMC’s personality didn’t completely ruin it for me and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I loved the beta read and I love the final just as much!
A rock band manager with a heart of gold, Brek takes over his sister's bridal coordinator business. He's just helping until his sister is back on her feet because she's literally been ordered to bed rest.
Velma is recovering from heartache because her sister is marrying her ex-fiance, and ideal man according to her algorithms.
I love Velma's stiff approach to dating. It's the kind of overthinking we all do when we're disappointed and feeling out of control. And I really enjoyed the hero's crossover from band manager to wedding coordinator. If you've ever had to plan a wedding that wasn't your own, it's no small feat and even from the easiest of brides and grooms, it's nothing short of a nightmare.
A great get lost in a book kind of read. Lighthearted with a fresh voice.
If I ever became a writer I would want to write romantic comedies. They are so much fun to read they must be fun to write. Our heroine has her whole life mapped out. She likes order not chaos. Then her sister becomes engaged to the man our heroine had a crush on. He fit into all the prearranged boxes and was perfect for her. Not her flakey sister. Then to add insult to injury the sister asks her to be the Maid of Honor! Ugh! Enter our hero. He is on a hiatus from his job as a manager of a rock band. He rides a motorcycle and has tattoos. He does not check any of our heroine's boxes for a life partner, but she does become convinced he would make a good 'right now guy.' He is also the wedding planner for her sister's wedding since his sister is on bed rest until her baby is born. (She's the wedding planner, in case I've lost you in my explanation. It happens.) Of course, we know there will be a happily ever after because that is, thankfully, almost guaranteed, but its the trip that counts. Lots of fun!
Velma johnson is a successful woman with a five year plan. Only her five year plan includes her co-worker Dean who is presently dating her sister. Dean is the one man she has crushed on for years, but her heart is about to be shattered when her sister announces some pretty big news. Luckily, Dean’s Friend Brek keeps Velma from feeling down in the dumps. Too bad, he is a rocker with tattoos….not the type of man she would ever go for. But, he makes her feel weak in the knees and her heart beat just a little bit faster. Can a straight laced spreadsheets kinda girl ever fall in love with a motorcycle riding bad boy?
Velma is just a sweet girl all around. She doesn’t curse, she rates men she dates on a spreadsheet, she dresses modest, and she has her life planned out right down to the last detail. She has no room for a rock band manager slash biker in her orderly life, but Dean brings the chaos into her world, something that was much needed to make Velma see that she isn’t so dull after all.
Brek is only looking for right now. He is a manager of a rock band and does not plan on staying in Denver full time, but when his wedding planner sister lands herself in the hospital with a high risk pregnancy, Brek takes over her business to help his sister out. With a matchmaking mamma and bridezillas on the warpath, Brek is going to need all the help he can get. So, when he lands himself Velma’s second bedroom for the duration of his stay, Brek is slowly worming his way into Velma’s bed instead. Who says friends with benefits couldn’t be beneficial to the both of them? But, when real feelings get involved Brek soon begins to change his toon from the “right now” kinda guy to the “forever” kinda man.
I really enjoyed this story right from the beginning. Going Down on One Knee has everything that I look for in an opposites attract romance. I love a to die for hero, a bad boy, add some tattoos and a motorcycle and I think maybe even I want to date him! I really love the connection between Brek and Velma it is almost instantaneous although Velma tries to deny how much she is attracted to him. It was refreshing to see how much Velma is able to open up to him and finally let loose, something she has not been able to do for a very long time. There romance is believable and heartfelt and I was really rooting them on as a couple.
Going Down on One Knee is a cute romantic comedy that pulled me right in and had me smiling and laughing pretty much until the end. Although this is the first book I have read by Christina Hovland, it certainly will not be my last. I highly recommend if you enjoy an opposites attract romcom filled with amazing and loveable characters that will make your heart melt.
I readily admit that the whole badass biker becoming a wedding planner to help his pregnant sister out was what peaked my curiosity, not that I don’t believe a badass biker could plan a wedding, because I do, but since this one appeared to be quite reluctant, the need to find out just what happens to the poor man was strong. Couple that curiosity with the whole opposites attract romance and I had no choice but to get my hands on this book and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it all. It was sweet, smexy, funny, cringe worthy in more ways than one and filled with a ton of heart and kept me turning the pages until the very end.
Velma. Here’s the thing about Velma. I really liked her and totally understood her way of thinking, not so much because I do or have done what she does, but because I had a friend who did the list and planning things, so I got it. And while she did drive me a bit batshitcrazy at times, I found her to be compassionate, sentimental and sassy and I loved watching her become more while still maintaining all that made her unique.
Brek is hard not to love. He is a good man with a good heart despite what his appearance may have others think. He does have a soul that has a hard time staying in one place for long, but he will be there for those he calls his own when needed. He has his own quirks, but his greatest strength, as well as greatest fault, is his is hard head, which does get him some amazing things, but also gets him in some very sticky situations.
I have to say that I really enjoyed Velma and Brek’s journey. It was sweet, funny and smexy and while they had their fair share of issues, the angst was on the lower end of the spectrum. The chemistry between them was intense and only became stronger as they spent more time together.I loved their bantering and how they nudged each other into doing things that helped them grow without changing who they were at their very cores. And as for that big ‘ole sinkhole in their journey. This is one of those situations where I totally understand the reaction to it, but can’t totally back it and the actions taken right after ~ I know, vague, but no spoilers. But I did like how everything was resolved and where Velma and Brek ended up.
This is my first read by Christina Hovland and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The writing was engaging, the pacing good and I liked the dual 3rd person POV’s. The whole Brek as a wedding planner was a lot of fun, some cringe worthy moments, but fun ones as he traversed that crazy world. And as for the supporting cast of characters, some I wanted to Gibbs smack for many and various reasons, but in the end I really liked them all. They brought a lot of depth, laughter and heart to the story and I definitely wouldn’t mind getting to see a few of them get their own HEA’s one day.

He manages a rock band; she manages investment portfolios. They don't match on paper or anywhere else. But still... inexplicably this pair learn they make a great team through wedding plan fiascos, sharing a condo, bad dates, and discovering love has a sense of humor. When he tosses out the rule book, this pair gave me some amazing reading magic.
Going Down on One Knee is a humorous, heartwarming, and sexy opposites attract romance. Velma's so buttoned up that she has lists for her lists and has a five year plan that doesn't have room for spontaneous, colorful biker rock band managers who gets an itch from staying in one place or picking up their socks. Brek's friend Dean is marrying Velma's sister and because of his sister's required bed rest for her pregnancy, he's taking over her wedding planning accounts. How tough can it be? He's managed a rowdy rock band on tour. He seems to be the only one to see Velma's pain over her sister marrying the co-worker she was secretly crushing on or that Velma's crazy, inflexible, list-making quirks are funny rather than boring. He gets all heated up over a buttoned up sweater and pearls. But, his stay is temporary and Velma's a long haul gal who wants a guy in a suit with a retirement plan and healthy 401K. Only, Velma's learning that a guy who looks good on paper doesn't make her body and heart zing like Brek's smiles or rides with him on his bike. Will they figure it out before the wedding bells chime and Brek heads back on tour?
I spotted this one on Melliane's Between Dreams and Reality blog and the blurb had me eager to give it a try. I thought these extreme opposites who do the wedding planning together would make for a fun read. I was right. Both were engaging people who saw the best in each other when they started working and sharing a condo. I laughed so many times over his casual habits and her stringent ways that were more amusing than acrimonious. They both had reasons for not being anyone's idea of a good bet, but there was sizzling chemistry from the beginning moment right on into the bedroom where a built, tatted Brek got to show that poor woman that she was NOT boring like an old boyfriend said.
The romance is set against a circle of friends for them both, their families, and their jobs. I loved meeting Brek's posse who are all a little rough except Dean who's the first of them getting married. It was sweet to see the relationship between Velma and her twin sister and their friend. At first, I thought her sister stole Dean from Velma, but what was there was all in Velma's head and she never hinted or acted on it so there was no stealing men. It was fun that Brek's mom was a professional matchmaker who wasn't opposed to doing pro bono work for her son's match and his sister was a wedding planner.
Oh man, this pair had lots of moments- some sweet, some hot, some a hot mess, and some utterly hilarious. It's been a while since I picked up a romcom, but I sure did get into this one which was well-developed for plot and characters and just plain sparkled. I can't wait for the rest of the series. Do yourself a solid and get in on it from the start, here, if a romance full of sweet and spice and a lot of fun moments is your thing.
I rec'd this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
How else do you describe a book that is not usually in my genre but blew me away?! I usually don’t do books with much humor in them but if this is what I’ve been missing out on, things are going to change! Brek was the manager of a hard driving rock band who drove a bike and lived his life on the road without much family contact. Velma/Velvet was a very straight laced, successful business woman who had a crush on her twin Claire’s soon to be husband, Dean since she was a young girl…without any one’s knowledge of this. Velma had a five year plan of where her life would be and used a spreadsheet to rate the guys she has dated with Dean having the honors as her “10”.
Imagine the surprise when said manager/biker, who was a friend of Dean’s and his best man in waiting, ended up living in Velma’s extra bedroom until Claire and Dean’s wedding. Brek had to stick around because his very pregnant sister, Aspen was ordered to hospital bedrest until the birth of her baby. Aspen was a wedding planner with a growing business that would not withstand her down time so she asked Brek to take over for her. I mean he should be able to handle it since he managed a rowdy rock band, right?!
This is a book that had a lot of laugh out loud moments that at times made me doing a quick look around just to make sure no one was seeing me lose it. Oh, and the steamy scenes these two had was hot. See how the famous Brek was totally attracted to the straight laced Velma who was helping him navigate the rough waters of bridezellas. This book had me turning pages as fast as I could until the very end. Loved it!!
Velma thought she found her sunshine until she was doused by a bout of rain. What happens when the road to happiness takes a detour into uncharted territory? Hovland makes heartache fun. Going Down on One Knee is a new beginning for a broken heart. Brek is Velma's road less traveled, but proves to be a perfect fit for love. Sometimes it takes stepping out of our comfort zone to find a happy ending. A lightly insightful way to look at a powerful piece of advice.
I like sweet and geeky but man, this heroine's squeaky clean, goody-goody ways (and language!!!) put me off big time. Instead of her insecurities and issues making her relatable and real, I just found her annoying.
It's hard for me to like a book (even if the H is sexy and hot) when the h isn't someone I like.
Going Down on One Knee is the opposites attract story of Velma and Brek. Velma has secretly been in love with her twin’s boyfriend for years. They are now newly engaged and Velma finally has to let go of her crush. Brek is the grooms’ best friend. He has come back to town to help his pregnant sister. His sister is currently on bed rest and her wedding planning business will tank if she lets it go. He also needs a place to stay and Velma has a room to rent.
The antics surrounding the wedding planning were funny. Velma and Brek decide to pursue a fling since he is leaving town. Of course, feelings get involved and it gets messy. Their relationship ends up with your classic miscommunications. Feelings are hurt and amends must be made. I liked that the one groveling in the end wasn’t the guy for a change. I really liked how Brek turned everything Velma thought she wanted on her head. This was a fun and light read. Great book for a rainy day.
What do a financial planner and a band manager have in common? Not much, except for hot chemistry and a wedding. Brek and Velma have an off-the-charts, super-charged attraction that leads to a slow-boil romance. Combine that with the absolutely hilarious idea of a biker-dude brother taking over his sister’s wedding planning business and you’ve got an incredible romantic-comedy.
Velma has always been the good girl in the family. She works hard, and she has totally bought into the idea of algorithms and safety nets not only at work , but also in her personal life. Brek rides into her life on his motorcycle, and he messes with her tidy, little life. He is muscled and inked; his life is about the freedom of the road and the headaches of managing a rock band. According to Velma’s algorithms, they’re all wrong for each other, but love isn’t about the math.
Her sister marrying his best friend throws Velma and Brek together. I adored the silliness of the everything-that-could-go-wrong mishaps that they face in their wedding planning events. Dealing with Bridezillas is apparently much harder than keeping a bunch of rowdy rockers in line while on the road. I crack up just thinking about a long-haired hunk dealing with place setting and floral decisions. The troupe of secondary friends is fantastic. I hope Ms. Hovland considers writing spin-off stories about some of these characters. I loved the bro-banter between Brek and his friends, especially Jase.
This well-written story is perfectly paced. The title chapters reference the timeline before and after the biggest, most important wedding Brek is planning. There was just the right amount of angst and an utterly adorable conclusion. I thoroughly enjoyed Christina Hovland’s Going Down On One Knee.
4.5 stars

“You're trying to control things that are out of your control instead of embracing what can be.”
Velma's life revolves around her plans. In 5 years she managed to be a financially independent woman, has her own apartment, investments and enough income to move to a more comfortable home after marriage and the planned and desired three children. There's only one little problem: Mr. Right, future father of her kids and her co-worker, Dean, just proposed her sister Claire.
Tall, muscular, with long hair and ripped jeans. To complete the look, leather jacket and his Harley. Brek is happy touring the country as manager of a rock band. Until his best friend decides to marry and his sister, by medical recommendation at the end of her gestation she will not be able to arrange any more marriage. And who has the mission to face the bridezillas?
Brek and Velma. He exudes tranquility. She exudes tension. The chemistry between them is palpable without being forced. And the entire roommates situation with these two opposites is elevated to a whole new level.
The combination biker, businessman and marriage only has one result, which is confusion. With funny scenes and a lot of flirtation, the romantic comedy written by Christina Hovland, is to laugh out loud, but it also makes us reflect. At what point can too much planning derail us from really being happy and enjoying life? How can our idealized reality and our imaginary happiness prevent us from being really happy?
The spontaneous and natural way events unfold, feelings develop and relationships flourish provide a light reading, fun and very romantic.
Of course we will have in the way, uncertainties, misunderstandings and some little fights that may even leave your heart tight, but will lead this lovely couple to understand that in life what is important is not having too many plans or less. It's having the right partner to divide them.
Two opposites attract. Velma is a little stuffy. Not really willing to take chances. Brek is the tattooed biker that curses and is extremely confident. Together these two bring out the best of each other. But, to get Velma to take a chance on Brek is not something she’s willing to try. When Brek gets stuck in Denver to help out at his sister’s wedding planning business, oh my God, everything takes on a pretty hilarious turn of events. Everything that can go wrong, will, with some pretty laugh-out-loud moments. Ms. Hovland’s writing had me in stitches. The dog in a tux. The dating spreadsheet. Brek’s crude but funny as hell friends. Just so many wonderful ideas. The weddings being planned by a man was an interesting storyline because we all know how much guys do NOT want to have anything to do with a wedding. For some reason I couldn’t give this a 5 full star rating, though. I think I was just not too into Velma. She just needed to come out of shell more, which I think she does probably three quarters into the book. So looking forward to this month when Jase’s story comes out. What a comical character he was!
Wow this is insanely good. I had a love hate relationship with these characters. However I still bawled my eyes out when they storyline unfolds. They saw opposites attract. This novel proves just that. Velma is so closed out at the beginning. She has so many plans laid out with five years plans and blah. It's like she never let loose. Enter the troublemaker Brek. He breaks hearts just by walking in the room. Band manager and biker, he does NOT fit Velma's mold. Sparks fly from the first meeting and just continuously grow over several weeks before it becomes obvious they are going to go a few rounds in the bedroom. Crazy brides and silly friends and family play a major part of these two coming together. It's like a step off the curb you never see coming. This is so much more than a romance novel. It literally describes how life is. You have to let go to find yourself. Believe when it's over, it will have you throwing your plans out the window!
This is my first book from christina and let me say I fell in love with it. When I read the blurb I figured it's going to be funny and man it was funny and also a bit of emotional. You have Brek who is a rocker, biker, tough guy, and his sister asked him to do her job as a wedding planner, well shoot how much hotter can he get.. Then you have Velvet, shes a organized person, always has everything by spreadsheets and I mean everything even the guys she dates..
Through out the story we see how these two play out knowing neither is one an another's type but eventually things change and let's say... it's better to step out your comfort zone then always have everything planned.. I cant wait to read more books about her. Check this one out and you won't regret it..
Bad Boy meets Good Girl, this book was a seriously funny opposites attract story. My laughing, while read, received more than a few eye rolls from family members.
Velma has a plan, career, financial stability, a husband and a family. She has a spreadsheet to help her find her ideal man. That is until Brek walks I to her life. With his sister on bed rest he's taking over her wedding planning business and is here to stay for a little longer.
He's everything she doesn't want. He rides a motorcycle, manages a rock band, tattoos, long hair, the list goes on. But then she discovers he is everything she didn't know she needed.
3.5⭐️ I’ve not read anything by this author before. I loved the interaction between Velma (Velvet) and Brek He’s a manager of a band and she’s a financial planner. They meet when Velma’s twin sister announces her engagement to the man that her sister has secretly been crushing on. Velma is slightly odd but Brek finds that endearing. They get closer when Brek helps organise the wedding plans when his sister is out on bed rest. A nice light hearted, opposite attracts story.
This book was so meh, that I got bored after every few pages. The romance happened behind the scenes I'm guessing because I sure as hell missed how they fell in love.
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
This is an opposites attract story. Velma is an investment portfolio manager and Brek is a band manager who is there for his sister and looks after her wedding planning business while she is on vert pregnant bed rest.
Velma is a 'good' girl who does not like swearing and has a five year plan, along with a crush on her sisters now fiance. It is only when Brek arrives on the scene that things change for the better for Velma.
Brek is a bad boy. Swearing, covered in tattoos, however he has a heart of gold, this their for his sister and gets Velma to branch out and try things out of her comfort zone. Like wise Velma is there to help him organise a few weddings to help out his sister.
Both characters change their lives and take a new direction when they finally discover that they want each other more than they want to stay as they were.
Talk about romantic comedies. This is just what the doctor ordered if you are a fan of these types of books. Brek and Velma were great. Although, they had help in the form of friends and family. Which I hope to see more of again in the future.
Brek is like a fish out of water in the wedding planning game. He rides a motorcycle and plays guitar. Yet, family is important. So, when his sister needs him to help out, he is willing to lend a hand. Brek gets off to a rocky start with a bride that bails, a wedding dress covered in chocolate and dog puke, and invitations that look like a child made them with tons of gold glitter.
Velma is just as lost about wedding planning but if she wants her sister's wedding to go off without a hitch, she better help Brek. You could feel the heat radiating between Velma and Brek. They did not disappoint when they finally hooked up.
So romantic! When Velma's sister and Mr. Right fall in love with each other, Velma needs to start looking for another man to fit her plan. Then badass biker Brek shows up and starts helping her with her plan. This story is funny and romantic with just the right emotions to make it complete. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys romcoms.
DNFed on 05/07/2025. Nothing wrong with it particularly, I was enjoying it at first and then they decide to sleep together casually and I hate that trope, that and FWB. I wish there was a warning every time a book has that so I don’t waste my time.
This is really cute. Biker tattooed hero helps his sister with her bridal planning business when she ends up on bed rest. Many laugh out moments, refreshing likable characters. New author for me. I’m a fan.
