Okay so I couldn't find 'stay out of the basement' book by itself so I use this.
So my review will only be for Goosebumps #2 (Also there will be a lot of referencing the TV show as nostalgia hits me like a truck)

This books mystery was brilliant, as far as I could tell, I had no idea who was who at the end. And to axe me to play the guess who game, I would have certainly lost. (maybe I am just too trustworthy)

But we all know that there are no winners in goosebumps, and there are many twists and turns along the way.

The show follows the book with ease and brings the scares to life. However all in all this one wasn't so terrifying. Sorry guys.

All in all.

Margaret is less annoying in the book than in the goosebumps episode. Same with Casey.

Right now I'm on a Goosebumps "read" spree.

I forgot to add these books. I forgot I even read them.

They're slow-paced, and the plot is predictable and quick. It zooms by so fast that there's no emotion or suspense/horror. They try going for a scary build-up, which just fails miserably in the suspense and horror department. I finished one of these in twenty minutes. The extra-large font screams, "I want this book to be long by stretching out pages with sudden chapters and big writing; that way..................

Actually, I'm not sure what the author was going for. But...I don't recommend these books unless you like tacky horror.

review: There is something lurking in the basement and not sure what it is. Is it a jacket that just looks weird, or is it a witches hand. He steps down into the basement and never wants to return.
use: If children like the goosebumps this lets them keep reading with it being chapter book.

I've always been a big fan of the Goosebumps series. My wife blesses me each year with some Goosebump books. Eventually I will have a bookcase full of the series.

I really enjoyed reading R.L Stine’s Welcome to Deadhouse, it’d personally give it a 4/5 stars.First of all, a true example of why I like this book so much is when Amanda realizes the truth of what has really happened, she thinks to herself, "Then I realized something else. I realized we had never really left the Dead House at all" (Stine 124). This is an example of the fearful theme because Amanda realizes that they are trapped in their unescapable and threatening house that they could never leave. Secondly, I like when Amanda first describes the new house, she says, "The house looked old and creepy, like something out of a nightmare" (Stine 5). This serves to paint Amanda as somebody who is uncomfortable and scared of her surroundings, just like myself, this characterization makes the book relatable and we see her character remain the same throughout the story, making her a static character. For example, I really appreciate that during the biggest climatic moment, Amanda realizes the terrifying truth when she says, “It was too late. They were coming for us” (Stine 135). This marks the point where the danger they were in becomes unstoppable, and the climax reaches its peak as Amanda and Josh face the horrors of the Dead House, this marks the biggest climatic moment. Moreover, I like the eerie and scary atmosphere/tone of the story being shown off when Amanda walks into her room and describes, “A cold chill ran down my spine as I stepped into the room, the air thick with something foggy” (Stine 45). This quote highlights the book's horror genre, setting a creepy and suspenseful tone, which I very much enjoyed. Lastly, a moment of irony is shown after moving into what they thought found a way out of the Deadhouse, Amanda says,“I thought they were offering us a way out, but it was only a trap” (Stine 112). Personally, I don’t like this moment of irony, It feels a bit too predictable. The idea that things can’t get worse, only for them to do just that, is common in horror stories. It makes Amanda's character seem a bit bland. Overall, this book was an amazing read and it deserves it’s 4/5 stars.

Stine's masterful storytelling kept me on the edge of my seat when I was a kid, all of the Goosebumps stories did. Blending suspense and mystery with a dash of the supernatural. The tension builds gradually, and when I was younger I found myself flipping pages late into the night eager to uncover the secrets of Dark Falls. Stine's ability to create a sense of dread and anticipation is truly remarkable, especially in a manner that's not unhealthy for a younger audience. The story expertly plays on the fear of the unknown, making it a perfect introduction to the world of "Goosebumps."

I think this is a good book. its spooky if u like spooky things u will love it. It's basically about how they inheritance an new house in a different state and have to move. That house is scary and haunted. Amanda keeps seeing a boy in her room. and she keeps having scary dreams. She told her parents what she saw they thought her brother (josh) was scaring her. But josh revealed that he was also having scary dreams how a boy and girl was trying to hurt him.

I couldn't find an individual page for Welcome to the Dead House so I decided to go with this one.

Overall, I enjoyed Welcome to the Dead House. It's surprisingly gory for a kids' book, which was enjoyable, and I got Coraline vibes from it (which is why I didn't give it five). Excellent book to listen to while driving to and from work.

I read the book stay out of the basement, it is really good. And it is pretty scary. Those kids are very lucky that they fiqured out that that one "dad" was their fake dad, not the real one.

Only read book 1 as part of a "Fall Bucket List", seeing that I had never read a Goosebumps book. I wish I had read these in childhood.

These are good chapter books for older children. I love these books I read all of them and I miss the feeling these books gave me. These are probably the reason I fell in love with books. If a child likes spooky, creepy, and weird short-chapter books, these are definitely the way to go.

I love goosebumps books there what really got me into horror especially theses books I read 2 out of the 4 but it was years ago since my dad owns a lot of books and I had to read a lot and I would have to say my favorite one in this piece has to be say cheese and die it always had one of the most interesting monster/creature everyone thought it was just some funky Camara distorting what you took but it was actually just a camera that showed disaster before hand and in every say cheese they all believed that the camara is cursed and try there best to get rid of it which is very hard to do I think that it’s a very good book and that a lot of people should get to enjoy this book it is one my favorites the dead house is more confusing and harder to understand but I get the book it’s not one of my favorites I like more horror elements in it there are things leading up to the main conflict but otherwise I think that the first book welcome to the dead houses is the less interesting out of the 4 stay out the basement I don’t have the best memory of it since not that much happened like say cheese and die but I do remember there father was doing very strange things in the basement after he lost his job he just wasn’t the same as he used ands i honestly thought monster blood was disgusting because the green substance and imagining it was nasty
