Personal security guard, Tate Marshall, has always been the family troublemaker. Maybe it's his propensity to get entangled in other people's problems. Now, he's in over his head because he's desperately in love with the woman he's tasked to protect, the beautiful Gloria, "Glo" Jackson, daughter of US Senator and presidential hopeful Reba Jackson. A member of the country band, the Yankee Belles, Glo was targeted in a recent terrorist attack designed to deter her mother from running, and Tate will do anything to keep her safe. Even if it means letting her go.

Stubborn and brave, Glo isn't about to hide from threats, at least the kind that won't cost her heart. She's already paid a terrible price for the war on terror, and she refuses to fall for a man who might die, especially because of her.

As the presidential campaign heats up and the threats deepen, so does the attraction between Tate and Glo. But what will it cost Tate to keep her alive? And what will Glo do to keep from losing another man she loves?

I can't help be amazed at the gifts God has delighted me with - a wonderful husband, four amazing children, and the opportunity to write for Him.

I've been writing as long as I can remember - I won my first book writing contest in first grade! Over the years, writing has become, for me, a way to praise God and see Him at work in my life.

Although I have a degree in Mass Communications from the University of MN, my real writing experience started when I penned the The Warren Report - a bi-monthly newsletter that detailed our ministry highlights.

Living in Russia meant I never lacked for great material - and those experiences naturally spilled out first into devotionals and magazine articles and finally into my first published story, "Measure of a Man," in the Tyndale/HeartQuest, Chance Encounters of the Heart anthology.

Susan and husbandI grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. My favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota - it's where I met my husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living. The north woods easily became the foundation for my first series, The Deep Haven series.based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. I have to admit - I'm terribly jealous of Mona, the heroine of my first full-length book, Happily Ever After, a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.

Our family moved home from the mission field in June 2004 -- and now we live in the beautiful town I'd always dreamed of! God has amazed me anew with His provision, and blessings -- and allowed me a season when I can write full time for Him.

I 'm delighted you've stopped in to visit. My hope is that you'll be blessed and encouraged by soul-stirring stories of regular people interacting with a God who loves them.

I'd love to hear from you! I love getting mail, especially from readers and I welcome your questions and comments. Write to me at [email protected]. And, if you're interested, sign up for my newsletter, a quarterly sneak peek into upcoming releases and projects. Thank you for your interest and support.

God Bless and Happy Reading!

In His Grip,
Susan May Warren

I'll start out my review with a quick disclaimer: Warren's books, while well-written, just aren't my usual cup of tea. So take my review with a grain of salt. The Montana Marshalls series may totally be your "thing", even if it's not mine. ;)

Tate played a large role in the first book in the Montana Marshalls series, so I was curious about his book. It starts with a bang, and I wish that intensity had carried through the rest of the book, as there were parts I feel dragged considerably. Tate and Glo were interesting characters, although to be honest, the romance drove me bananas. Nearly the entirety of the book is Glo being a jerk, and Tate literally pining away after her. Cliches don't usually bother me, but . . . Cliche much? Shall I also mention the *cough* quite passionate kissing scenes, despite Glo being a jerk, Tate being a jerk in return, and both characters constantly pushing each other away, convinced they shouldn't be in a relationship. But let's kiss anyway.

Oookay.

Again, I realize some readers may find this kind of romantic storyline enjoyable, I did not.

Overall, Tate kept my interest throughout the entirety and there were times I didn't want to put it down. Definitely check this out if you're a fan of prominent romantic storylines with bits of suspense mixed in here and there.

Another amazing story in the Montana Marshalls series! The previous book Knox provided a great lead in to the suspenseful plot as well as introducing readers to both Tate and Glo, but only hinting at the things they have gone through, increasing curiosity and anticipation for this book. I loved the strong yet vulnerable personalities of Tate and Glo, and the chemistry and attraction they share. I've been interested in the Marshall siblings since reading Reuben's story in the third Montana Fire book, Burnin' For You. The brothers and sister have a strong family bond, but also some drama in their history and it's been great to get to know the dynamic they share and look forward to more being revealed with each book. The siblings are finding their own way in life, but have a haven in the family ranch where their mother keeps the homefire burning. The swift pace and exciting action kept me glued to the pages and the angst between Tate and Glo as they figure out their relationship was heartwrenching. Highly recommend to fans of contemporary romance and suspense!

Tate is the second book in the Montana Marshalls series and SO good!! I enjoyed it even more than the first book. I thought Tate was an amazing hero and even though some of the things that happened in the story seemed unrealistic, I was still very happy with the read.

Susan May Warren can craft a great clean romance. The plot is good but is has problems. While this is Tate and Glo's book it also lays the groundwork for the next book about Ford and Scarlett. I'm sensing a pattern here and there is a compelling reason not to skip books as I have done in the past. Tate and Glo. Boy, is that a hot mess! Lots of angst and a boatload of martyr syndrome for both of them. Both are my least favorite tropes and makes is really hard to like, not to mention, even root for this couple. James L. Rubart is the narrator for this book and he did a wonderful job with all the different characters. He added to the whole listening experience.

Gloria "Glo" Jackson is a member of the Yankee Belles country trio. The Belles are just beginning to make their mark and the arena they have just performed in is blown up. Everyone believes the perps are a radical group bent on impacting the upcoming presidential race by harming Glo, whose mother is running for president. Glo's twin sister died and Glo loved and lost a solider in Afghanistan and doesn't want to love, and lose, someone else she loved. But Tate, her bodyguard, is really, really hard to resist, and when Tate's past beats the stuffing out of him, Glo has second thoughts about a relationship with him because he could get hurt protecting her.

Tate Marshall has his own demons, one of which just beat the stuffing out of him and scared off Glo. What's a cowboy to do? He heals up and goes to get his girl. What he finds is a whole other world of money, backstabbing and secrets with Glo right in the middle of it all. Getting the girl may be a little more difficult than he first thought as this is a whole new ballgame for him. As the threats increase, Tate has to wonder just whose team everyone is playing on. 3 1/2-Stars

What a great addition to The Montana Marshalls series! And I definitely recommend reading these books as a series. The main characters in this story, Tate and Glo, had their beginnings in book one, Knox. Now, readers really get to dig in to the heart of Glo and Tate’s feelings for each other, and all of the other drama and danger that comes along in the second story of the series.

That Glo! She was so emotionally mixed up in so many different ways. I have to say that all she put Tate through made me like his character even more than I already did. I really felt for the guy and the heartache he went through. But he was devoted!

The secondary story in this book revolves around Ford and introduces his love interest, Scarlett. I really enjoyed getting to know these two characters, as well. I am enjoying this series so much and highly recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, however, I have also pre-ordered my own print copy of this story, as well. All opinions are my own.

Romantic suspense with plenty of action and drama continues in book 2 of the Montana Marshalls series. If you don't like romance, might want to pass on this one, as it is one of those 'kissing books'. (Princess Bride anyone?) This is kind of a bad boy turns hero and can't seem to stop loving a girl out of his league, though 'Glo' didn't deserve him, if you ask me. A few mentions of faith later on added a redeeming factor to their trials. I am really looking forward to Ford's installment. He is my favorite brother so far. Some difficult subjects in this one with Scarlett's story. Great writing carries the story along with a lot of action and romantic tension.
Contemporary romance readers will love this family series. 4.5 stars

Oh man, Tate is better than Knox and I'm not sure I thought that could be possible. I loved the opening chapter and how it sets the stage for the emotion/action-packed read that is the 2nd Marshall brother. This is a book I didn't want to put down but wanted to slow down and read to make it last. I can't wait to read Ford.

Wowza! What a thrilling read! I have been a fan of Susan May Warren's books since I read Take a Chance on Me, the first book in the Christiansen Family series, and I have been hooked on her writing ever since! As soon as I heard about this series I instantly knew I wanted to read it, so needless to say when I was given the opportunity to sign up to review Tate I jumped at the chance.
After absolutely loving the first book in the series I had pretty high expectations for Tate and I am thrilled to say that this book exceeded every single one.
The suspense was amazing as usual and kept me glued to the page!
I absolutely loved Tate and Glo. They each carried deep scars from their pasts and my heart broke for all they had been through. I was cheering them on from the start! As much as I loved Glo and Tate, I think I actually loved the secondary characters of Ford and Scarlett a tiny bit more. I'm not really sure why because we don't really have anything in common, but for some reason I found myself really relating to Scarlett and wishing she was real so I could reach out and ask if she wants to be friends! And, oh my, I am loving all these Marshall men, but I think Ford just may be my favorite Marshall brother so far, so I CANNOT WAIT for his story!
This book has everything I expect from one of Susan May Warren's amazing novels, nail-biting suspense, swoon-worthy romance, well drawn characters that become like friends to the reader, humor, family, and last but most definitely not least a faith message that is deeply moving without being preachy! There is just something about Susan's books that never fails to make me smile, and I always find myself hating to leave the pages of her fictional worlds, Tate was no exception! I loved every moment of this book and am dying to read book three, Ford!
Highly, HIGHLY recommended!
This is one series you aren't going to want to miss, but I would recommend starting with Knox, as Tate starts right where Knox ends!

I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

'Surrender is not a Ranger word. Fine. Let the battle begin.'

Susan May Warren continues her Montana Marshalls series with the second brother, Tate. Tate has always found trouble easily, but he has also always tried his best to solve problems. The woman he's tasked with protecting, Gloria Jackson, also the woman he's in love with, and daughter of a senator is targeted. Glo is a member of a country band, the Yankee Belles, and in the public eye, which makes her a bigger target.

Glo doesn't want to hide from these threats and Tate is determined to keep her safe. She's also trying to run from Tate because she's already lost someone she loves to danger, so no way is someone else going to die because of her.

We also meet another Marshall brother in this book, Ford, and I am on pins and needles waiting for his story, which is next.

Will Tate stop a minute and listen or will he plunge right in and do what he thinks is best, even if may not be? He needs to learn that he is loved just because he's Tate and not because of what he does. And Glo needs to learn that she's also worth loving just because of who she is also.

I am a forever fan of Warren's books and can't wait to get my hands on them. She dives into the story with no holds barred and takes her readers along for the ride and we can't release our breaths till the end. She knows how to make the reader one with the character and we feel everything. I love it when an author engages me this way. I purely love it. And the spiritual depth to her novels is amazing. Highly recommended.

*My thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

I love everything I’ve read by Susan May Warren—and that includes her upcoming release, Tate. The second in the Montana Marshalls series, it’s an addictive read, full of romance and danger.

Acting as a bodyguard for the woman he loves has put Tate Marshall in quite a predicament. He wants to protect Gloria “Glo” Jackson from the threats she’s receiving, but she doesn’t want to hide—and isn’t sure she wants to love a man whose life is on the line. Added to the drama is wrestling with being good enough and belonging, and these two have plenty to sort through as danger threatens and escalates.

All in all, I highly enjoyed Tate. I will admit that it would have been better to start with Knox before jumping into this story, but as I read, I picked up what I needed to know. Now, I can’t wait to see what’s next for the series (but in the meantime, I’ll just go read Book #1).

Ok, cut to the chase. This author is the master at telling multiple stories at once. Weaving it all together, and might I add, bring in characters from the past in a way that makes you feel like she has planned out 50 books in advance!!

The Marshall family from Montana is fast becoming my new favourite fictional family.

Loved every minute of Tate’s story and oh boy can we please continue Ford’s already!!! Wow, wow more wow.

"When you show up with nothing and discover that you're loved because of who you are - that's when you realize what it means to be a son of God."

Tate Marshall has been running from his self-made ghosts for years, living with regrets that he can't erase, refusing to consider that his incredible courage in the face of danger counts for anything at all. Then along came Glo; Gloria Jackson, full of life and quite possibly love; running away from the life she was meant to live . . .according to her powerfully persuasive U. S. Senator mother. It's a recipe for disaster, and Tate has been charged with keeping her safe . . . . from an obnoxiously hands-off position.

"Surrender is not a Ranger word."

Hang on to your book cover, this book is a deliciously wild ride to the finish line!

This is the second book in the Montana Marshalls series and you definitely need to read these book in order. Although each book focuses in on one particular couple, the story line is continuing and believe me when I say you won't regret starting at the beginning.

I really love this fast paced romantic suspense series. It's current, it's crackling with energy and growing intensity and it's got the romantic tension. Tate is one tough guy who just doesn't give up. He just keeps on fighting no matter what the circumstance. You have to love a guy who just won't back down in the best of ways. I loved his all in attitude with Glo despite her efforts to turn him away.

This is a book that is hard to put down! I'm always looking forward to the next book by one of my favorites, Susan May Warren. Luckily, the third book in this series, Ford, will be out in a few months.

“Senator Jackson doesn’t know what kind of trouble she’s hired on.”

I loved Tate - that bad boy who actually hides behind a tough exterior but is a softie at heart and is just searching for his place and purpose in this world. The fight in chapter 1 was epic and I feared for Tate's life and just loved that Knox lived up to his legacy - always shows up!

The action and fights were really well written in this story and I could "see" and "feel" each punch or kick.

Glo - though I loved her in book 1, her decisions and actions irritated me in this story. Tate gave her more second chances than what I think she deserved...

“Grief does that—holds us hostage."

I loved meeting Ford and Scarlett and looking forward to see more of them and what will happen with RJ in book 3. After meeting Tate in book 1 I thought he would be my favourite, but Ford is fighting hard for that position.

Enjoying this series and this should be read in order.

The Montana Marshalls series, and Tate specifically, has an “action and attraction” packed unputdownable plot which takes place in a number of interesting locations amid various sub-cultures. Glo has a spine of steel and a compassionate songwriter’s heart. At first glance, Tate seems like a classic tough guy bad boy but in truth, he’s a modern-day warrior.

This book is everything readers have come to expect from master storyteller Susan May Warren! Rather than say more, I’ll just wrap it up with my hearty recommendation and start reading Ford, the next installment of the series!

The action not only never stops, it leads directly into the next book. I've never wanted to read so many books in the same series at the same time before! Susan May Warren is telling the story of all the siblings at once, focusing on the sibling the book is named after, of course, but not ignoring the others. I can't wait to dig into Ford's story, but I'm also anxious for Ruby Jane's.

Tate, the second installment in award-winning author Susan May Warren’s Montana Marshalls series, is a must-read for fans of action-packed contemporary romance. Readers have been eagerly anticipating the release of this novel after falling in love with former Ranger turned bodyguard Tate Marshall in the first book of the series. Tate is willing to do anything to protect those he loves, and trouble always has a way of finding him. The cover of Tate depicts his character perfectly and will have readers discovering their new favorite book boyfriend. The Montana Marshalls series has the perfect blend of romance, adventure, and of course, those handsome Marshall family cowboys!

It is highly recommended that the Montana Marshalls series be read in order, since there is an overall story arc that follows throughout the entire series. The novel Tate continues part of the storyline from the first book in the series Knox, as Tate works as a bodyguard for Glo Jackson and her band, the Yankee Belles, after a bombing following one of their performances. Additional violence and threats continue to put their lives in danger. Glo’s mother Senator Reba Jackson is a potential presidential candidate and continued threats against her campaign have also targeted Glo. Navy SEAL Ford Marshall plays an increased role in this novel, as he assists his brother Tate in trying to find the bomber.

Susan May Warren is a master at writing incredible family-centered novels that draw readers closer to their faith. She shares the spiritual message that we are enough because He decided we are. Readers will enjoy the banter between Glo and Tate and the realistic dialogue throughout the novel. The pain that bodyguard Tate feels while protecting Glo as she goes on dates with another man is heart-wrenching as readers hope for Tate to get his happy ending with the woman he loves. There is a cliffhanger at the end of the book that leaves readers anxiously awaiting the next book in the series, Ford, which releases in September.

Tate is highly recommended for fans of contemporary romance with a blend of adventure, and readers who enjoy novels by authors such as Becky Wade and Denise Hunter.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine. After reading the e-book copy, I enjoyed Tate so much that I also pre-ordered my own paperback copy.

What more good you want? A handsome bodyguard, rodeos, bull-riding, and a 3-women country band hoping for their first big gig. Add clashing personalities, secret pasts, a stalker, a terrorist, shootouts, and a determined mother bent on becoming the next US president.

Throw them all together in the chute and the wild, bucking ride of Tate Marshall in Susan May Warren’s second installment of the Montana Marshall’s series. From the first page to the last, I was drawn in and held captive. It took me just three days to read Knox, the first in the series, to reading Tate.

When things start blowing up and the bullets start flying, Tate Marshall is hired as the bodyguard for the Yankee Belles, a rising country band of three beautiful women. But it is Glo, short for Gloria, that captures Tate’s attention which is a good thing because it seems like she is the target.

With Glo’s mother making her bid to be selected to run for the next US president, everything points to someone trying to stop her campaign. As stubborn and determined as her mother, she isn’t going to allow anyone or anything stop the Yankee Belles from securing their biggest gig yet as the feature band for the rodeo tour.

Sparks fly and tension is high as the Yankee Belles continue their show schedule despite the terrorists continued attempts to blow it all up. The tension between Tate and Glo is perfectly written; when Tate “kissed-the-girl” I gave a deep sigh, finally. When their relationship is discovered, Tate is fired from bodyguard duty but he doesn’t allow it to stop him from protecting Glo, determined to keep her safe.

I thoroughly enjoyed this well-written ride and highly recommend it!

Well, I need a straightening iron for my curled toes after sizzling my way through this read! Mercy, but these Marshall brothers are heart-palpitating heroes! And not only do we get Tate in this one, we get to spend a bit of quality page time with Ford (and Scarlett) as well. They're up next in the third Montana Marshalls book. Remind me to stock up on ice cubes, fans and new springs for my fainting couch!

Warren's trademark grit and faith with a healthy dose of family drama made this a frenzy of a page-turner. Have to admit that the violence in the first scene had me squirming and I almost put the book down except for the fact that so many of my Good Read friends have waxed poetic over Tate's story so I persisted and am I ever glad I did! I don't think I've ever yearned -- like right-down-to-my-toes-smitten -- for a hero and heroine to reach their happy ending.

And I love the way the author wove a faith thread through all that chaos. "You don't need to do anything to get God's attention. You had it before you were born." Glo's struggle to finally accept herself as worthy of love and Tate's battle with specters from his past provide some goosebumping 'aha' moments that enriched the read all the more.

TATE is the second book in the Montana Marshall Family series and fans will want to read Knox first although there is enough backstory in TATE that the reader won't get lost.

Not being a fan of military novels some parts of the story was skimmed, but they are necessary parts for the shaping of both who TATE and his brother Ford are.

I didn't want to put TATE down! I read most of the weekend to finish this book, on the edge of my seat. Both TATE and Glo are hurting broken people, needing God's healing touch. Big brother Reuben (from a previous Smoke Jumpers series) is there to speak words of truth.

For more conservative readers there is some drinking, dancing, and violence.

The action is nonstop, the characters heart-breakingly real, and the writing superb. Be sure to set apart a day or two to read the book in a sitting or two.

I can't wait until Ford releases in September! There is enough of his story to wet the appetite for more.

If you grab a copy of TATE today, you can still get it for the preorder discount. You will want to read this.

I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.

It’s hard to believe someone who is a former Army Ranger could doubt his courage and noble deeds but Tate Marshall is such a man. His past haunts him and is tangibly felt within the pages of his story. Gloria Jackson is his perfect counterpart, if only they can figure it all out. Another thrilling ride with the Marshall family, along with more great characters introduced. Warren is one of the best at creating a fascinating and compelling family on paper. You’ll feel like you know them by the time you’re finished and wish you could take a long vacation at their ranch in Montana, a safe place where family is everything. As with the first book, this second offering incorporates another Marshall brother, and long before I was finished with Tate, I was chomping at the bit to read Ford. Thank you, SGS, for loaning me the book!

Ah, Tate just ripped my heart out. It was bleeding for most of this book- the author really makes you feel the emotion, and there was a lot of it, to my blissful enjoyment. The suspense and romance was a good ratio for me. I love that every book in the series is about the entire family and the MC is always just one member of the cast. I really appreciate how the siblings view and relate to each other.
This particular book was weaker in the faith message. Neither of the MCs lived faith-based lives. At a couple of points, other characters spoke truth to them (true truth, if not vague) but neither really surrendered to God or made decisions to obey Him. It was more a general acceptance of God's love for them. It ended with a lot of loose ends, so the saga continues! On to Ford!

TATE picks up right from where the first book in the series ended. It's a story of two people yearning to find love and thinking they need to prove themselves, when really, they already have God's love and the love of each other if they will only let go and accept it. There is a suspenseful undertone from the first to the last page, with certain moments of danger spread throughout the story and a climatic ending. The romance is full of tension, with plenty of sweet moments. Definitely recommended to fans of this author and intense inspirational romantic suspense.

I was so glad that I read KNOX before I began this story. You could read them on their own, but each story is so involved in the other, that it's best if you read them in order. I feel like each of the Marshall boys have different demons they're trying to overcome. I really liked Tate and Glo and the rest of the Marshall clan, as well as Ford and Scarlett (whose story starts in this book). Tate has been labelled the troublemaker and bad boy, but also the hero. He has his fears, his hopes, his weaknesses, and his strengths. He wants Glo to be safe and to be with him more than anything, but it's a complex situation with Glo's own issues and her mother's manipulations thrown into the mix. Glo is good in her heart, but lets others dictate who she is and has lost herself a little. Tate challenges that, but also offers love without strings. The romance has plenty of swoon-worthy moments. Their story is volatile. Both their romance and the danger that is lurking, and both come to a head in this story.

There were a few things that didn't quite feel right. That were maybe overly forced and didn't feel as genuine. A few things that needed to be edited more. I also felt Glo was a little strong in how she tried to push Tate away and her being so lost in who she is made it hard to love her as the heroine. Even at the end, she's still being manipulated and I didn't really full get her coming into her own and standing up for herself. It's there, but not until the very end and I wanted more. The inspirational element also felt a bit forced and I didn't feel the characters were allowed time to build their connection to God.

In the end, was it what I wished for? This story was full of emotions as these characters tried to navigate their lives, face danger and evil, and try to decide if they will open their hearts to love. With the Marshall boys, there is never a dull moment, and I'm looking forward to continuing Ford's story in the next book.

Content: Some violence and innuendo.

A great story

My rating is 4.5 stars

Strong, heroic men fighting to prove themselves. It is a common theme with author Susan May Warren, and yet each of her stories is fresh and unexpected.

Tate is the troublemaker of the family and has a less than admirable past. He has felt inferior to the other men in his family since he was a young boy because he doesn’t like horses and has no desire to be a cowboy. His protective streak is a mile wide and he is consumed with anxiety at the thought of having Gloria hurt on his watch. Again.

I mentioned above that Tate’s past is ugly. If you read Knox, you saw the hints of that already. I really liked that he had to reconcile himself with the fact he didn’t have to be a hero to be loved by God. Gloria’s lesson was similar. It is so easy to fall for the lie that it is up to us to be good enough. To live up to expectations of being perfect. That we have to EARN love. But that isn’t what love is about, is it?

I enjoyed the unpredictable nature of Tate’s story and the continued mystery regarding the threats to Gloria. I won’t say that I was surprised about the revelation yet I doubted my guess at least a few times along the way. The combination of intense action and deep heart matters made for a great escape from the crazy week I have had!

This is Book 2 in the Montana Marshalls series. Although this novel mainly follows Tate and Glo and has enough backstory for you to read as a stand-alone, it will mean more if you read Book 1 first (i.e., Knox).

After the events of Book 1, Tate is determined to protect Glo, even if it means giving his life for her. The only problem is that Glo is scared to death he will die trying to protect her and she can't let that happen again to someone she loves. But in order to do that, can she throw aside who she really is and get sucked into the path her politician mother has for her?

Lots of drama, suspense, emotional issues to work through, and elements of faith to explore if these two are going to get together.

We're also introduced to Ford and Scarlett's story, which will be the main one in Book 3.

If you like romantic suspense, with some deeper issues to unravel, there's a lot to enjoy in this book. I already have the next one loaded up on my Kindle ready to go.

After hearing such rave reviews for Knox (Book 1), I knew that I wanted to dig into this series. I really wish I had started at the beginning though, because I felt like I was missing significant backstory. Despite being thrown into a setting I had to get caught up on though, I was quickly sucked in. Tate was an easy character to fall in love with. He was studly and swoon-worthy. He was a fierce protector with little regard for himself. He had a sense of duty and didn't let anything get in his way. I was expecting him to be a little more "rugged cowboy" and less "military professional," but I still adored him as the hero. Overall I enjoyed the read and I'm looking forward to reading more from the series in the future.

Romance, clean, contemporary; Christian faith elements
Always a win for me to read any thing by S.M.W.. She has romantic suspense down to a T! Tate's story, intermingled with pieces of the other siblings, and hints of the beginnings of their stories as well, was a gorgeous read! LOVE this series!
