Marcus “Memory” Mecken
I fought for respect, then I fought for my country. Now I’ll fight for her.
I made a choice, one I thought was for her own good. Her future was bigger than our love, or so I thought. Years have passed when I find her working at a rundown diner and realize everything I’ve sacrificed was for nothing. That wasn’t part of the plan, and now I want answers.

Maribel Laine
I fought for love, then I fought for my sanity. Now I’ll fight to keep him away.
He made a choice to give up on us, on love, and it cost me everything . Now he’s back and looking for answers. Too bad. The girl he left behind is dead and buried. He wants answers? Well, good luck trying to find them. I’ll never tell.
He doesn’t deserve to know.

Fight for something or die for nothing.
The Junkyard Boys are forced to team up and set things right in order to help their brother bring home the only girl he has ever loved.
Can two lost lovers, torn apart for years, recycle old feelings from the past and reclaim their future? Will they fight to piece together their broken hearts, or will the past prove too much to overcome?

Maribel was a child prodigy. She was attending high school with Marcus. I didn't care for the fact she thought so low of herself she stayed with Drew. So nice again we have a guy who loves a girl but leaves girl and soothes his broken heart with nameless pussy. So heartwarming! Why could he not sign up for the marines and still date Maribel? He could have asked her about Harvard. I can't believe what her dad did to her. I don't think I could forgive him for that. Marci again! Poor Maribel having the town whore as your sister. Now she ruined things for Odie. I hope Marci does not get a happy ending.

The fourth full length novel in the junkyard boys series is here and it does NOT disappoint.
This can be read as a standalone book but works best as part of the set.
The road to love is not smooth and cloud-lined and the characters are as flawed as real people.
I read this in several sittings and spent the time between worrying about what was going to happen - a book that took me away from real life, even after i was done, I would highly recommend it.

This is my first book by SH Richardson and my first in the Junkyard series. Regretfully I did not read the prior books in the series. Yet. I am definitely going to, though. I felt Recycled Memory was a very tense, emotional read. I was overcome with so many feels. I felt everything from sadness and frustration to anger and fear. The angst in this book is palpable. You can't help having that sick feeling you get in your stomach when you know something awful is coming. With that said, this book also has suspense and definitely darkness as well as some violence. One thing I cannot say is that this book was sweet and romantic.

I loved nearly every character in this book. However, there were definitely a few I wanted to jump into the pages and choke, lol. But no, I'm serious. While I haven't read the prior books in the Junkyard series, I did not feel lost. Actually I was very intrigued by these characters and want to read the other stories, which I suspect are just as angsty.

I also want to assure you there is a happy ending.

So where to begin...Marcus and Maribel.....
These two met as twelve and fourteen years olds. Maribel was a prodigy. A young, nerdy, lonely girl. She was exceptionally brilliant and lived to please her father. Maribel had no friends, her choice. Her parents loved her but they had their priorities in the wrong places. Her sister was her worst nightmare. I thought that girl was awful. How she could treat her little sister the way she did was disgusting. There is no redeeming that girl in my opinion.

Maribel and Marcus met one day while he was fighting with a group of boys in the schoolyard. Maribel happened by and got in the middle of the fight to stop it. Did I mention she was a tiny thing? You'll just have to read the book to learn the circumstances. But from that day forward, they became something beautiful. Even if they didn't realize it yet. I'll say that the first half of the book takes us back in time to experience the dynamic between these two complicated characters.

As high school comes to an end, they are torn apart by a bad decision that Marcus thought was right. Of course years later he came to regret what he did. His actions caused a crushing turn of events. Unfortunately, for Marcus, he would soon learn the devastating repercussions that his actions caused. I'll say it now. Even though, I knew it was coming, my heart wasn't prepared for that moment of the book. Sadly, after that, my feelings for him took a nosedive. Marcus needed to redeem himself to me as well as Maribel.

This book is very intense. Very passionate. It is not your typical cookie-cutter romance. It's dark and angsty and I loved it. SH Richardson has a talent for pulling you in and keeping you engaged. I did not want to put this book down until I got my happily ever after. And here is where I recommend you not start this book late in the day because you will not be able to put it down either.

This is my honest and unbiased opinion. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Marcus. Is. Back! Hot Dayum! What an amazing book!

Marcus is back to claim Maribel and find out why she's not living the life he sacrificed everything to ensure for her. This is a roller-coaster read, giving us the exhilarating highs and devastating lows of their young love eight years prior interspersed with their present-day attempts at reconciliation in the midst of protecting Maribel from the beyond-stupid mistakes of her recently-ex-boyfriend, Drew.

Marcus is one intense, growly, domineering alpha with the biggest heart ever hidden inside a take-no-prisoners attitude. He's never lost his devotion to Maribel, and when he realizes that the future he thought he was guaranteeing her was so very far from reality, he wants answers and he wants them now. Maribel wants answers, too - and she's going to drag them out of Marcus if it's the last thing she does! Her life imploded when he left her to join the Marines, and she's not going to let him off the hook without knowing exactly why he left.

But they've also got some serious threats to deal with first, and it's going to take all the Junkyard Boys working together to set things right. I just love these characters so much! The women are putty in the hands of the men they love, but dangerously feisty when their family is threatened!

This story was a non-stop read for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed every amazing word right up to their stand-up-and-cheer triumphant HEA. There are plenty of sweet moments, heartbreaking confessions, and steamy scenes that will just about melt your kindle. It's everything a romance should be, and a good deal more. One-click this book - and the rest of the Junkyard Boys, too - I guarantee you'll love them as much as I do. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Oh Baby!!!

When I realised I’d missed this release I was so cranky with myself. Marcus has always been an enigma, so watching his story unfold and how choices made with best intentions can have a vastly different outcome. I knew that his story wasn’t going to be an easy one and knowing his feelings for his Pocket, their history, I can only say it was such an awesome read. Sharon first grabbed me by the lady reader balls when I stumbled across The Junkyard Boys and she’s maintained a hard grip ever since. Marcus’s story is neck to neck with my other all time favourite... Sebastian. Though each boy has a story to tell, you need to start at the very beginning to really grasp the full story of the boys and the man that made them who they became. Sharon you did brilliantly yet again, bravo.

The Junkyard keeps getting better and hotter!

A day in the Junkyard is all I ask for! Memory and Maribel are fighters and their story made me cry, laugh and sometimes both at the same time. Mem is troubled and has suffered so much that I couldn’t help to feel for him and Maribel is so feisty I was high-fiving in the air so many times because of her sassiness. Of course, I laughed so hard at Clover’s antics, Ashley’s wittiness and all the rest of the characters that make this story fantastic. You can’t miss it, it’s unbelievably good! I so highly recommend this book!!

Sorry, had to add that there. If you want to find out why, get this book. You won’t regret it.

Firstly just let me say that the rest of the Junkyard Boys needs to be read first in order to get a better grasp and understanding, of what has shaped them to become the men they are today. I always felt that Marcus’s story would be an emotional rollercoaster, and how right I was! Marcus and Maribel deserve to have a second chance, and the Junkyard Boys are all willing to assist. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is an amazing story, which is well written, and filled with emotion, heartbreak, humour, romance, and is an intense and addictive read. I was totally captivated throughout, and I cannot wait to read move from this exceedingly talented author. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers!

Marcus finally got his story

Marcus lost his parents and had to live with his Nan. Maribel was a 12 year old who was trying to please her parents by being smart. When Marcus first meets Maribel he was getting ready to get beat up by 5 boys, she steps in and stops it. From then on she was called Little Pocket or Polly Pocket. They fall in love and she ends up with a broken heart when Marcus joins the Marines. I'm not telling anymore it's to good of a story to give it all away in a review.

The best one out of the Junkyard Boys... S.H. Richardson has out done herself with the last installment of the Junkyard Boys series. Your emotions will be all over the place with Marcus and Marible's story. And she has so many possibilities for a few spinoff series that I'm hoping she has in the works. S.H. amazing is all I can say with out putting spoilers in my review. Everyone needs to get their hands on this series.

Best book of the series

Emotions run high in this last installment of the Junkyard Boys saga. Buck brought up his boys to fight for something they felt strongly about and Marcus a/k/a Memory has finally found the one thing he loved most of all...Maribel. While the love affair was not always positive the end result is phenomenal. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I could not put it down. 5 Stars are not enough.

This has to be the best of the Junkyard Boys, not just because of Marcus and Maribel aka Pocket or Polly Pocket-love that nickname-lol, we visit the gang and their closeness with each other, it's great!! This book has great funny moments, heartbreaks and a wonderful second chance for Marcus and Maribel, really loved this book. Still curious about Shelley, she made an appearance but she wasn't her normal self, there has to be a story to tell, right?!

Loved it

I have been waiting for Memorys story and it was so worth it. I loved the backstory, although there was that one moment where I was fuming! Memory had some redemption he needed to do. I absolutely adore the family aspect, how everyone is there no matter what. This was an awesome read and I highly recommend reading this , as well as all the other books in the series. #JunkYardBoysRule

Marcus wanted to give Maribel her shot at a great future, so he made what he thought was the right decision. Unfortunately, it backfired horribly. Their second chance at happiness came after great pain from both Marcus and Maribel. Trying to find their HEA took a lot of twists and help from the Junkyard brothers, but it was one heck of a thrilling ride!

I have been patiently waiting for this one! It was everything and more. While it is a standalone, the story comes full circle and it is more enjoyable if the series is read in order. I think my favorite parts of the book would be the alternative POVs, especially from Buck. The story was action packed and steamy at the same time.

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

This is a very intense emotional romance. I loved Memory and Maribel. To say that their road to a HEA has been complicated and painful is simply an understatement. Their story will give you all the feels, from the highest highs and the lowest lows. With lots of action, danger, drama and emotional turmoil, you are hooked from chapter one! I'm voluntarily posting a completely honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually enjoyed the ladies in the stories. Don’t get me wrong I love the men but the ladies are entertaining all in to themselves. Especially Ashley. I do want to know more about Fox and would love to read his story. Will definitely be checking out the other books in this series.

This is a emotional rollercoaster. I liked the story of Maribel and Marcus. Many things happened, maybe too many for my taste. Maybe I would have got more out of this if I had read the previous books before. But definitely can be read as a standalone too.

Would Marcus be my bookboyfriend? Hell yeah. I am sucker for bad boys.

Loved this story, but while technically can be read as a standalone, I did have some moments of confusion because I hadn’t read the earlier books. You’re left wondering how they got where they are and why. But it was well written, the characters were deep and it kept me reading.

Amazing book. An emotional roller coaster, that keeps you turning the page to find out what is happening. Loved how Maribel is a strong independent woman even at a young age. Marcus is/was an idiot, but is still the strong alpha.

❝Men fight for something, boy, or they end up dying for fuckin’ nothing. Tell me something, kid. What are you fighting for?❞

Recycled Memory (The Junkyard Boys Book 5) by SH Richardson is a standalone second-chance romance, and part of the interconnected world of The Junkyard Boys.

Marcus and Maribel’s story just wasn’t for me. It contains the familiar trope where the hero decides the heroine will be better off without him, so he breaks her heart and leaves. Years later, he sees her again and is shocked to realize that she isn’t living her happily-ever-after. So he reinserts himself into her life, and acts like a dominating asshole, declaring that she’s ‘his.’

I have so many issues with this story. Number one, Marcus made a life altering decision for Maribel without talking to her, based on what he was told second-hand. I know he’s only a teenager, but come on! He really didn’t think things through.

Secondly, Buck’s whole ‘don’t interfere with the decisions a man makes in regards to his woman’ rule. A rule which Marcus uses to isolate Maribel from the guys, her only friends, after he brutally crushes her heart and leaves. Dude took away her support system when she desperately needed one.

Then, we have the eight year time jump. During this period of time, events pivotal to the plot occur that are never explored. Marcus getting a new personality, becoming a dominating man with violent tendencies. Maribel became a shell of her former self. Sure, they tell each other what they went through, but we the readers never experience it.

Apparently the heroine is some independent and hardened woman due to everything she went through after Marcus left, but I didn’t see it. She didn’t seem like a survivor, but more like she hides from her past whilst accepting her shitty life. Also, she went right back to Marcus. Didn’t really even make him grovel or explain why he lied to her all those years ago, before she forgave him.

And the cherry on top of this disappointing sundae, the book's overbearing ‘boys’ club’ mentality. The way the guys purposely keep the girl’s ignorant to the dangerous situation they’re all in really annoyed me. It’s one thing to refuse to let them get involved with the plan. But to not tell them anything is just them being alpha assholes. This was an actually quote from Maribel,

❝Grown men business that wouldn’t be eased with silly school girl anecdotes.❞

She wasn't saying this ironically or sarcastically!!!

I wouldn’t recommend this book, mostly because of my dislike for the hero and heroine. But if you happen to like the things about them that I took issue with, then go ahead and give this a try.

Oh my sweetness - this one pleased my angst loving heart so much. Recycled Memory is the type of second chance romance I love.

Maribel is a true genius with a penchant for cursing more than a drunken sailor and I adore her so much. She is just so brave, stubborn and strong in her own way. I enjoyed seeing how she grew up and into herself.

Marcus, aka Memory/Mem, is a hero that kicked down the doors to my soul and set up his home before even introducing himself. He is quiet and deadly, along with being protective. My heart hurt for him watching his struggles and sang when he was able to overcome his own issues.

SH laid the gauntlet down with Mem and Pocket’s romance. I loved how SH wrote their story from the beginning and followed thru the ups, downs and come back through to their much deserved HEA. This talented queen added in just enough humor to level out the heavy angst and added the perfect amount of action and steam to make this an unforgettable story. I loved every single word and really didn’t want to see this come to an end - so much so that I read this twice before writing my review. This series has quickly become one of my favorites and I will be revisiting this band of brothers without hesitation.
