To most, Coconuts is simply a bar. But for three best friends, it’s their oasis. That is, until everything comes crashing down.
Socialite Cheri Van Buren makes a splashy, paparazzi-filled visit to Coconuts. Secretly dabbling in disastrous online dating, the wealthy caterer desires normalcy away from the society pages. A few girlfriends would be nice too.
Hope’s life is routine, if not dull. The most exciting part of her day is counseling students until a monster tornado heads toward Hilltop High. Now she’s in shock—and not just from the devastating twister.
Alex oversees a marketing intern from hell who appears intent on stealing her job. Her relationship with her sexy cop boyfriend isn’t so sexy, especially after his ex-wife stalks her.
Suzy’s new marriage is challenged by her surly teen stepdaughter, a unique Halloween wedding, and her son’s ever-changing nuptials. If that isn’t enough, the family discovers an astonishing revelation requiring a giant leap of faith.
Will the women overcome the chaos or will it tear them apart?

Wow! I want to meet the Chaos at Coconuts bunch because I am SURE they are REAL! The variety of characters, backgrounds, and situations are fascinating! I stayed awake until 2 am reading this book. I highly recommend!!
Loved Loved Loved!!! I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens. I'm normally a slow reader but have managed to finish Thursdays at Coconuts and Dived right into and finished Chaos at Coconuts all with in a week. The stories are very intriguing and fun. They remind you that when life happens that you are not alone and things will get better. The friendships that the story evolves around are the kind of friendship everyone longs for. So glad I read these stories again I can't wait for the next one to see what happens.
What could be better than friends finding a great meeting place and sharing in their ups and downs? Not much and Coconuts is the place in Crystal City. Filled with romance, a little mystery and of course drama from Alex, Hope and Suzy. What is unexpected is a newcomer to their trio. Cheri Van Buren, socialite, makes her appearance wanting only to get away for some normal downtime. Of course the three girls bring her into the group and what more could happen? The story is about wonderful friendships and girls sticking together trying to be there for each other. What more can a girl ask for? A fun, magical story that tugs at the heart and makes me only want to read more from this author!!!
Was thrilled to receive an ARC OF this in exchange for an honest review ! This is her second in the Coconuts series however can easily be read as a stand alone ! This has got to be one of THE best girlfriends themed fiction action romance I’ve ever read because of thier weekly bar hook ups to discuss all thier adventures in life and romance ! It immediately stands out as a fun , fast paced & Emotional read with all developed characters that are totally relatable. I’m going to honestly admit 2 things. I usually enjoy really steamy romances that tend to have explicit hot sensual scenes reoccurring HOWEVER Beth clearly knows how to write a book so genuinely emotional and true to life that sometimes you Just don’t need to have all those whistle & bells of spelling things out so colorfully! Less can be more regarding this situation when the writer writes WELL ! ❤️💕❤️ The other thing that amazed me was that she’s got several characters & side characters which in most cases can leave me bored with one or less & less apt to continue on with a big series but that’s not the case with her stuff! Everything I’ve read of hers is a bit unique in content compared to many many other books and troupes I’ve read over the years ! It’s fresh & fun ! Well done !
In this second installment of the Coconuts series, the lives of three friends, Hope, Alex, and Suzy turn chaotic when life throws them a curve ball.
Bank marketing exec Alex has a new intern, the boss's daughter, who seems intent on stealing Alex's job. Wedding planner Suzy is challenged by a sullen teenaged stepdaughter, sprung on her after she married her high school sweetheart. Counselor Hope has her placid life torn apart by a tornado that hits the school where she works--and by the suspicion the new janitor might be her adoptive father who she thought was dead.
Newcomer socialite Cheri Van Buren joins the group. She's dodging paparazzi while trying to meet men online.
Love these women! On to read Babies at Coconuts next!
Funny and emotional book. A new girl in Crystal City? She makes a big stir at Coconuts the local restaurant in town. While Suzy, Alex and Hope wonder who is getting out of a limo they soon will find out. They don’t know what to make of Cheri Van Buren. They know she’s a very well New York caterer. So they befriend her.
While there own lives are crazy they always make time for each other. That’s what I love about this book and the first.
But this book gets a little more emotional. It truly made my heart warm.
Thank you Ms. Carter. I truly enjoyed the ride with three wonderful friends, and a new addition to the group. I look forward to reading more.
This sequel to Thursdays at Coconut did not disappoint. I loved it. I loved Thursdays at Coconut and was so happy to learn more about the characters in this book. It was truly heartwarming as well as having romance, drama and surprises woven through out the book with a wonderful surprise ending. Only thing that would make it better would be to make these characters into a movie.
As a lover of Beth's books I always get a little sad when I finish one. They are truly like a great bowll of Chicken soup...so soothing and enjoyable. Can't wait for the next Coconuts to come out. This one has all the girls that I feel I know and some wonderful new additiions. Also there are some terrific plot twists and some storylines leaving unfinished business for the next book. Can't wait to see what comes next!!!
OMG! I just love this series, so many twists and turns. I thought I was the only one who had a life could be total chaos. Haha! Beth does such a great job with details, I felt like I was there. Again I was laugh at Alex's sassiness, Suzy's teen troubles and Hope's low self esteem. I can not wait for Babies at Coconuts! Highly recommended series, first book is Thursday's at Coconuts!
There is Chaos at Coconuts! Coconuts the favorite meeting place for three friends is the best place for them to share the going ons in each other’s lives and offer a friendly shoulder, and advice. Suzy the wedding planner is busy trying to plan her son’s destination wedding, dear with her new step daughter Izzy that she knew absolutely nothing about when she married Ken. Izzy is your typical teen with jealousy issues over her new stepmom. Suzy has no idea the Chaos about to occur in her life involving her son and then her step daughter. Alex, the Vice President Of Marketing for the Show-Me Bank has issues of her own. Her boss hands her a nightmare in the Intern from Hell. Alex also is having issues with her possessive cop boyfriend and his stalking ex wife. Hope, the high school counselor, gets her world turned upside down when a tornado hits near her school. In the midst of the destruction near the school, Hope finds the wonder in human nature as the students pull together, but also makes a startling realization when it comes to the schools new janitor. To top it all off, the girls add a new friend to the group, Cheri Van Buren! She is a rich celebrity NYC caterer that turns out to be a wonderful addition to the group.
Beth Carter has done it again! Chaos at Coconuts is a fun read that will having smiling and giggling through some parts and worrying and caring about things happening through other parts. The book leaves you wanting more and to know what happens next.
I absolutely loved this book. It was a fast easy read and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this book!
This is a sequel that I was looking forward to all year and the author didn’t disappoint. Set after the events of Thursdays at Coconuts, this book hit the nail on the end on almost every level for me. The three ladies I fell in love with are back, and this time the author added a wonderful new addition with Cheri and I really am looking forward to more about her. The author ramps up this story with a tornado, a whacked-out ex-wife and a teenager you’d like to throttle. Add in a few twists and turns, and the amazing friendship shared by these women, and it’s a recipe for success.
Even though you could read this as a standalone, I highly recommend you read Thursdays at Coconuts first as you will get the full-on background of the ladies. I was only upset that the book ended too soon, but the author assures us there is more to come, if there wasn’t, I’d probably pitch a tent and camp out in her backyard until she changed her mind. Okay so parts of this story is confusing and some parts have a little too much detail. But love the friendship between the 3 women and how they welcome another so easily. I am shocked on the ken and Suzy n Izzy issue but I also had a similar experience. I am happy for Hope and cant wait till she has a happy ever after. Also sorry for Alex cause I know men are a pain.
I couldn't put it down! The twists, the turns, the new girl! I enjoy how each girl has their own story but at least once a week and the girls come together sharing the ups and downs of life's roller coaster with their best friends. I enjoyed each character and would love to meet them at Coconuts for drinks and friendship!
The second book in the series continues with the lives of the three main characters.I enjoyed it and will continue to read the other books in this series.
I loved Chaos at Coconuts more than Thursdays at Coconuts, which I didn't think was possible. I appreciate Beth's development of our three newest girlfriends: Alex, Hope, and Suzy. I feel like I've known them for years, and enjoy getting lost in their stories that Beth makes sure we can smell, taste, and feel every last detail - down to the shoes.
