Elgin Collier, AKA Gillian Shelby, is the world's most popular women's erotica author. She has wealth, success and now apparently a stalker who may already have committed murder. Sheila Forbes, Elgin's publisher and best friend hires Campbell Harm, head of Harm's Way Security to protect her and find the stalker. It's hate at first sight for these strong-willed, independent people. He thinks she's a "pornographer" and she thinks he's a "knuckle-dragging Neanderthal." Sparks fly from their first meeting.

This was BAD. The writing was choppy, forced. There was too much jumping around and the author lost credibility by starting sections making it seem like we were going inside the mind of the stalker, or a love scene, then shifting it around. Once, okay, twice, hmm, three or more times and it became annoying. I was very annoyed.
There was way too much arguing and bickering between the hero (Harm) and heroin (Elgin). Bickering like I've never seen before in a romance: "prick," "stupid bitch." For me words that can't be taken back and they never really apologized, either. He accused her of being the madam of literary porn (she wrote erotic romances).
There was NO romance here. Elgin was even putting the moves on a stranger over half way into the book. The writing was so haphazard that the few times the two main characters did have a "flicker" of awareness it was at completely odd times and never mentioned again.
Once the characters relocated to the cabin, the suspense was gone. It was obvious where this was going and that's where it went.
I can't believe they went from a fight, to her throwing herself at him. No warm up, no foreplay. Awful. The author tried the build up with the toys later, but it was too little too late for This Reader.
first read sinopsis i think is why not try this story? the sinopsis is good but when you read all, no no no not at all, start is good the next pages its not good at all. BAD.
Jeezz i get this story hope will be enjoy for read not to heavy but no, its freak.
Chesmistry NOPE, just fight each other and then sex. What? heroine is stubborn bitch woman and Hero is like want to be Alpha male but can't. Yuhuuuuu. She has stalker fan but she doesn't want to admit to herself that her life is in danger. I don't know its because she brave or pompous woman.
Hero must protect heroine because her agent hire his company. So meet them and no sparkle NOTHING, like so many books usual when H and h meet will had some physical attraction but not in this story.
They immediately hate each other. Even h has attracted to other guy (stranger), what?
if i'm not wrong h want to holiday three months to a cabin but she doesn't want other people around her, but the agent want to see her protection soooo she must stay with H. First she reject the idea, but finnaly she want H to go with her because she want H became her piano player for her next novel.
i mean she's plan to sex with H or not or just want seduced him? or it's just for inspiration, play game and revenge to H because he is so arrogant, i don't know.
I mean if she plan to sex with H why h want to sex with other guy too. crazy horny h, but if just plan to seduced just for fun not having sex with H its okay for her to want other guy. am i right? hahahaha.
Because when i read this i so confused about this plot, between her story novel, the stalker mind, and the real sex scene its mixing.
I even don't know when they first time sex, i read about sex scene and guess ow that's it the sex but noooo, its just sex scene in h novel.
so finally they have sex but not good, i don't get romantic situation in this. Its supposed to be romance or what and for me h a little bit slut right, before they have sex its seem h attrached to other guy too soo its like she just horny and wanna sex and any man could.
eeeuuuuuu.
and what the point in this story, NOTHING!! from page to page not connect to me.
Campbell Harm is hired to protect Elgin Collier (aka Gillian Shelby) from a stalker. Love-Hate relationship. I liked it. It wasn't prefect and could have used a bit more fleshing out of the story and characters but it worked for me. I found it to be entertaining.
