Another I picked up from The Little Library. Very cute, wouldn't mind reading the prequel where the two boys first meet Bolivia... maybe there is some explanation there of her name, too!

I remember reading The Hot and Cold Summer, in elementary school, when my teacher did a read aloud. As a new elementary librarian, I am working my way through the titles in our elementary library. I ran across this book and immediately remembered The Hot and Cold Summer. It was such fun to read about Rory, Bolivia, and Derek. The story was entertaining, even to an adult, and it was a light-hearted read with a good message about trust, honesty, and friendship.

This book brought back so much nostalgia. I absolutely loved it as a kid and love it even more as an adult. Just a good, clean book for kids with a great storyline. They don’t write books like this anymore. A story about 3 best friends having out during winter break solving a mystery of things lost/stolen. Absolutely loved it. A great relaxing read that can be read in one sitting. Highly recommend it for young readers!

The book was okay but nothing really happened. All that happened was a girl came to a town and two boys were her friend and they were excited for her to come. Then they got in a fight, and at the end they made up. NOTHING!!!!!! :( I really wish something exciting would've happened just to make it a little more exciting.
