Every Part of You #1

Every Part of You Series, Parts 1-5

Rate this book
First published as a five-part e serial novel, Megan Hart's Every Part Of You is now available for the first time as a complete book.

Simone Kahan's been watching Elliott Anderson through her office window for months. He likes to bring women back to his office for late-night trysts, and Simone enjoys her voyeurism until one night, Elliott appears to go too far with his date. The other woman might not be into spanking, but Simone is, and when she meets Elliott in the elevator later that night, she makes sure he's intrigued enough by her to ask her to go with him to the party he no longer has a date for. Thrown together by circumstances he'd never have imagined, Elliott isn't sure what to think about Simone. She's nothing like the women he normally dates, but something about her draws him in until he can't stop himself from wanting her...until their goodnight kiss becomes something harder. Harsher. Simone responds to his rough hands as no woman ever has, and Elliott's not ready to pursue what he's always told himself is wrong.

Simone has been watching Elliott Anderson through her office window for months. He likes to bring women back to his office for late-night trysts, and Simone enjoys her voyeurism until one night, Elliott appears to go too far with his date.

Every Part of You Tempts Me is the first part of the erotic serial novel, Every Part of You.

Elliott is brusque, reserved, allowing no one close to him.
He was, as far as she was concerned, perfection. Just over six feet tall. Lean swimmer’s body he liked to clothe in tailored suits — nothing ostentatious. Always classic. Professional. Subdued. Appropriate.
The man dressed like a master of industry and fucked like a jackhammer.
Simone wanted him.

Simone is open, outspoken, boldly witty, and perceptive.
His terse attitude intrigued her more than it made her mad. She was having a helluva time figuring him out. She liked that.

They mutually find each other intriguing, and the sexual tension is palpable and delicious between them.
It’s all about physical attraction for now, but I didn’t mind it at all, and I’m sure there will be much more between them.

“More,” Simone whispered.
Elliott pulled away.
“What?” she asked.
“This is … “
“Delicious,” Simone murmured. “Delightful.”
She curled his fingers, urging him again to pinch and squeeze her.
“More,” she said.
With a low, helpless groan, he bit again into the curve of her shoulder.
“More,” she said, and he wanted to give her more.

A promising and thrilling start of the story of Simone and Elliott.

Let's consider Tempts Me a few short chapters in a larger story. Installment writing seems to be a growing trend as of lately. In most instances, I'd rather not get my story in bits and pieces. This time, I decided to give it a go, since I'd thought this might be a safe way to try Megan Hart again and see if I might have been too iffy about her in the past.

So far, so good? Yes, that's a question mark. It's really hard to know what to think, when not a whole lot has happened yet. Basically, this chick has been watching this guy hook up with other people. The guy hasn't had the best luck with his hookups because he wants to possibly get a little more frisky than the women are going to let him (BDSM leanings). The chick who's been watching from the shadows (okay, from across the way in her office) ends up having a run-in with the guy and something is on the way to getting started.

I don't know how to really give feedback on that, other than to mention that I think where this is going could be interesting. It appears that the woman might be the one to get the man branching out with his sexual fantasies. I'll have to go ahead and check out part 2, since Hart managed to deliver on the "wouldn't you like to know more?" front.

I quite liked this one. Simone is crazy fun and she knows what she wants and goes after it. She wants Elliot except that he doesn't like to be caught just yet, especially by Simone. She confuses him a little bit, plus she's not his type, or is she?

Really enjoyable. I liked the banter between the two characters. This is a first part of a serial though, so we might have to wait a little bit more to get an HEA. :)

This is hard to rate or review...I've read some serial novels before but this one is very, very short, and it really has the feeling of just being left open in the middle of something. You don't really get to know the characters really well...barely a hint. Enough to titillate, I suppose. I'm interested in the next installment but it had better be really attention grabbing or I may not continue with the third installment.

Simone is a bit forward for my taste, but I get the sense that this isn't the norm for her. She's sort of at this precipice in life...and she's decided to buck up and go for what she wants. What she wants is some playtime with the buttoned up sex god that she's been spying on for weeks, each time he takes a new even more buttoned up blonde goddess to his office to screw on his desk. Voyeurism...hehe. How can that not be intriguing?

Elliot is a bit stuffy. He's fastidious to a fault, and if he looked at me with those facial expressions he keeps throwing Simone's way, I'd want to throttle him. I sure wouldn't go back for more! However, Simone is quite the glutton for punishment, and Elliot seems to be drawn to her somehow. The end to this part of the story seems promising!

On to the next one. Fingers crossed it grabs me like Megan Hart usually does!

2.5 actually

This short story felt more like an intro to what will happen more, as in between Simone and Elliot. It didn't rock my world, but I also wasn't bored. It felt more like giving a promise, that hot and steamy parts will happen in other sequels. so I am looking forward to reading a sequel soon, becuase this cca 40 pages felt more like a tease or a prologue, and I am curious to see how will he react when he sees what she wants.

This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books.

"What it would be like, Simone wondered, to have him focus that look on her? To feel his hand on her wrist?
Gripping hard, maybe grinding the bones together, just a little?
It would be delicious."

It's Megan Hart again, baby! When I saw that she's writing a romance mixed with a little BDSM my hands were aching to get it, even though bdsm isn't on top of my list when reading, but as I said- it's Megan Hart whose books rarely, if ever disappoint me, and neither did this one, even if it didn't have the usual "tear you apart" Megan Hart formula.

Every Part Of You is a story divided into 5 parts, every each of them featuring not more than 30-50 pages long. The 1st part was only around 36 pages long, but neverthelessthe story was engaging, fun & sexy. It focuses on a couple Simone & Elliot who meet at the beginning of the story after she's been spying on his late, "private shows" in his office for a long time from her own office window. Let's just say that she more than likes what she sees and decides that Elliot might finally be the one who would give it to her the way she craves it.

Girl crush alert! Simone was definitely the biggest reason why I liked this story, because she is one of those fierce, independent, straight-forward & fun heroines who know what they want and aren't afraid to take it. Elliot still remains a mystery in this part. He seems calm, a bit cold and controlling. He usually goes for women which are totally opposite from Simone, but there's a strong chemistry between them and the way she responds to him is something he can't deny no matter how hard he tries. Like every bad boy- he avoids dating and serious relationships, but Simone might be finally the one who will change it.

What can I say except- very, very hot introduction and they didn't even have sex in this part, imagine that! If you want a short, fun & way-too-hot read with no bigger drama- check this out. It will leave you wanting for more, so better have all parts near!

"She wanted him to kiss her, hard and bruising, bringing the taste of blood. And in that instant, something in the flash of his gaze told Simone that maybe, just maybe, Elliot wanted the same thing."

I am usually a huge Megan Hart fan, but this novella just didn't work for me. It can't compete with Hart's earlier works.

I was about to give this book three stars, but then this quote happened: "... a series of brutal yeast infections during college had taught her to hate pantyhose."

Good god. Hear that? It was a star going poof. I don't need to know about Simone's yeasties unless they are central to the story. I assure you, her scorching crotch problems have nothing to do with the plot in this novella.

I still love Megan Hart and will continue with this series and her other new releases. I think this is a rare misfire for Hart.

A nice little sexy read about a woman who has been watching the lawyer in her building get it on in his office with various girls. Simone gets turned on watching Elliot and when they meet in the elevator, she accompanies him to a party....

Simone is quite likable - she knows what she wants (even though she takes a while to get it). Elliot is a little OCD and very set in his ways.

This is part 1 of 5 very short books (about 40 pages). It's a quick and enjoyable read. Personally, I would love to see this as a full novel rather than a serial.

On to the next one...

I really liked this short story.
I liked Simone's take charge, go-get-what-she-wants character, and I was intrigued with Elliot's rather 'anal' characteristics.

I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this series, but it better not end with another cliff-hanger!

If it does, I won't be continuing with the third.

Simone seduces me at first glance because she is a voyeur. Watching a handsome man fucking women across his office's desk is a Peeping Tom's fantasy come true. When the sexually naughty participants are good looking, it's even more exciting. Seeing it kink up with a light spanking increase the allure.

Ms. Hart is one of my favourite authors. Her writing is polished and so easy to read. It's like gliding on silk, luxurious and erotic. This is the first serial of hers I've read. I'm hooked. Mostly it is because of the hint of kinky BDSM which I can't wait to read more.

Simone lusts after Elliot. Elliot is a bit of a stick in the mud with some "deviant" desires. He thinks women won't be able to accept it because he's been cavorting with the wrong ones and totally misreads their body language. Some people have radars for the kinky. Elliot is woefully without this handy intuition. Simone on the other hand seems to be someone who will lure a person into the lifestyle with a curl of her lip and slant of her eyes.

Ms. Hart does a good job of describing the environment and setting the characters up for the next part in the series. She's good at leaving a reader yearning for a bit more. This tantalizing tidbit whets my appetite to read all the installments for Every Part of You. Recommended for erotic readers who enjoy a bit of cat and mouse.

I'm not exactly sure how to review just the beginning of a story - because this is just that: a beginning - but here goes nothing. This is an interesting beginning, I'll give you that, but, honestly, I'm not a fan of this new trend of breaking up books into several parts. And this one has five parts. Five, for crying out loud! I'm half tempted to wait for the whole book to come out next year.

My frustration aside, I'm a big fan of Megan Hart's books, and this could turn into a book I like. We'll see. Sooner or more likely later. What I've seen of the main characters does make me want to find out more about them. Simone, the little voyeur, seems quirky and very open. Elliott, the more somber one, seems troubled, and I want to know why. They sure do make an interesting couple.

Although I can't say it with absolute certainty, it appears to me that this will be a BDSM romance, but I'll just have to see for myself.

SEXY ARC provided through NetGalley for an honest review 3 - 3.5 PINCH ME STARSSimone Cooper has been watching Lawyer, Elliot Anderson through their office windows for quite a while. She knows she's not his type, but when a chance meeting in the elevator presents itself, Simone takes the opportunity to turn Elliot's world on it's ear. He doesn't usually go for women who look like Simone, but looks can be deceiving. She's not what he expects and he just can't get her out of his mind.I liked the build up. Thought it was hot. (view spoiler) But, being a novella, there's so much more I want to know about these characters and especially why Elliot is denying what and who it is.Diving into the next installment!

This is short but very enticing. The main character Simone is likable and Megan Hart's writing is really good in this short story. It is sexy and really, the story is a tease. I want the next one right now.

Megan Hart writes about sex with well developed characters in real situation. She even used one of my most disliked stereotypes - the sexy, rich and powerful lawyer (I promise you he doesn't exist as written in most romances) - and I still enjoyed it.

Love what she is doing with this series and I want more.

I am a huge Megan Hart fan, so her new series was an auto-buy for me.
From the comfort and security of her corner office, Simone has been secretly watching Elliot entertain women for months. Each woman resembles the other, and Simone is fascinated watching Elliot do wicked delicious things to them.
After an evening of entertaining goes south for Elliot, he meets Simone in the elevator by chance. Although Simone is not his typical type of woman, he cannot deny that there is something about her that he’s attracted to and that makes him nervous. Simone ends up accompanying him to a party, and after taking her home for the evening, he discovers that Simone may be exactly the type of woman he’s looking for.
Let’s be honest; voyeurism can be hot. Watching other people have sex, especially when they don’t know you’re watching is extremely sexy, and that sexiness set the tone for this story.
Simone has only the ability to see Elliot in action, not actually hear what he’s saying, which has set up many a fantasy for her. The night Simone meets Elliot in the elevator, she sees him spank a woman and it sets her on fire. Simone secretly desires to be dominated, and not just be tied up. Simone likes pain¸ and it’s very obvious early on that she wants Elliot to deliver that pain. Just like that John Cougar Mellencamp song, “Come on baby, make is hurt so good…”
Elliot controls his desires. He’s frightened and pissed off many women with only showing them a hint of what he’s capable of. When Simone responds to his desires willingly and wanting more, it scares him, but also leaves him craving more.
Even though this was a short read, maybe 45 pages, it packed a lot of information and grabbed my attention. It’s obvious there are some issues that will come up and need to be worked out/resolved, but, Megan Hart does such a beautiful job of making her characters come to life as though they are real people. When I am reading one of her books, I feel the emotions the characters do, and I also like that her characters are not “perfect”, they’re perfectly flawed, which is one of the many reasons why she’s an auto-buy for me.
The ending is abrupt; definitely leaving you wanting more. Good thing I only have to wait two weeks for #2. Four stars.

Megan Hart doesn’t hold much back. The first installment in this serial is not about love and the butterflies that come along with it. Simone has been watching Elliott late at night while he has sex with plenty of women in his office. She can see him when she works late in her own office. Until one day they run into each other in the elevator and she decides to try and fulfill some of her fantasies with him.

Keeping in mind the fact that this is a serial, and is hard to judge a character because you don’t know the back story and the reason why he acts the way he does, I have honestly say I wasn’t a big fan of Eliott. So far he’s come across as judgmental himself. I can’t wait to see him get knocked a few pegs down.

I think Simone could also work a bit on her self esteem. She hasn’t had a real relationship, other than a regular booty call guy and her voyeuristic moments peering into Elliott’s office.

I don’t know if I would consider this a typical Megan Hart read yet because we haven’t gone any deeper into what makes the characters tick. I will say that with the unconventional setup this has a bright potential for getting there!

For a first installment, I enjoyed this story. It caught my attention enough that I will want to continue with the next installment. However, I didn’t feel that the cliffhanger I was expecting at the end was all consuming as others. Yes, I want to know what happens next. But just as if I had the full length book in my hands and had to put it down for a bit. I guess I’ve been reading so many cliffhangers lately that leave me wanting to pull my hair out and sell it to get the next part that I was expecting more.

I read all 5 parts of this series in the same day, so I'm reviewing the whole series as one thing, as I didn't pay too much attention to each individual book. I do know that I was extremely happy to have the next one to continue straight onto at the end of each part as they always tend to leave you hanging for more each time...

I really enjoyed this one! it was quick, a bit of fun, hot & sexy, and also quite refreshing from the almost standard hot, rich, BDSM Dominant, male lead character. Yes, Elliot was pretty much that guy, but he wasn't. Rich - yes, hot - yes, BDSM master - absolutely terrified of it & what his preferences in the bedroom make him as a man - a monster who beats women.

The BDSM goddess in this story is Simone. The straight-up, tell it like it is, not afraid to ask for what she wants, pleasure/pain seeker. She too, like Elliot, despises the BDSM lifestyle of doms & subs, masters & slaves. Yes, she's tried it, but her outspoken, take no bullshit personality does not make for a good submissive, but she can take anything dished out to her, especially if that involves a good spanking or even a caning.

These two are a match made in heaven. Able to truly fulfil their fantasies together, & feed their desires to their hearts content. That is, until Simone's openness & Elliott's fears come face to face in a way that very nearly destroys them both.

Simone will not chase after a man. She doesn't need to. But when Elliott runs, she's very tempted to hightail it after him.

Sometimes the best thing that ever happened to you will cost you the highest price. & sometimes the greatest risks reap the highest rewards. But are Elliot & Simone prepared to risk it all for the chance of a scorching hot spankingly ever after?

FMC said something along the lines of:
You have to figure out what you want. After that, you have to figure out how to ask for it. No one will know what you want or that you want it unless you tell them.
She was talking about sex, but 🤷 stands for life as well. Now, ponder that for a while.

I'm not sure how e-serials will do in the long run. They have many pluses: they're quick reads that leave you wanting more, they respond to readers' request for "more" of the story (they could go on forever, in theory), and they're easy to publish. But readers generally want a lot more than a few chapters, and right now, and they don't want to pay much for each installment. If each installment is $2 and there are 8 or so, that's a whole lot more than you'd normally pay for a novel of the same length. Hey, wait, that is pretty brilliant! No wonder publishers and indie authors are into it.

But if readers aren't completely caught up in each of the first few installments, than you can probably say goodbye to most of your audience. Oh, and they're a bit hard to review. Whine whine whine.

At the beginning of this first installment of Megan Hart's serialized novel, Every Part of You, Simone finds herself watching Elliott Anderson with another one of his dates. His office is down and across a courtyard or something from her, so she has a perfect view of what he gets up to when they both work late. This particular date starts out very promising but quickly goes down hill when the date isn't into the same things Elliott is.

Simone and Elliott end up in the same elevator later. She knows she's not his type at all -- she knows exactly what his type is -- except in one particular area. And that has her wanting him. And flirting shamelessly with him. Sceptical (he know his type too), he takes her to the party he's now dateless for.

Things go rather badly between the two in the beginning, but there's promise. Simone's tough and wily but also vulnerable. Elliott's brusque and unintentionally rude but also intrigued (and also, of course, mysteriously vulnerable). He's unsure of himself in the bedroom (or, well, on the desk) now and unwilling to go as far as both he and Simone wants in case he gets burned again.

I really enjoyed Simone's character. She knows what she wants, and she's not entirely sure how to get it, but she has some tricks and a healthy dose of ambition and she's got nothing to lose. I didn't entirely get why she bothered with Elliott, other than the fact that she was horny. Which is a perfectly reasonable motivation at first, but his personality was a bit of a cold shower.

So the question is whether I am intrigued enough to continue. I think so. I wasn't blown away by this, but it started out really hot, so I was promised a lot from the beginning and I'm curious to see how it delivers. Also, I really liked Simone and wanted more of her, and I really wanted to see how she was going to play Elliott. I'm also looking forward to Elliott becoming a person worth pursuing, because I'm sure at some point we'll know enough about him to want more. The next installment, Every Part of You: Resists Me, is out in two weeks, on February 18.

A quick review for a quick read. I'm not normally into serial novel formats, but for this first serial novel I've read from Megan Hart, I liked it. I didn't expect to considering this is a bit on the rougher (and a bit risque in other considerations) side of the erotic equation, but this was a good introduction to both Elliot and Simone.

Elliot and Simone meet one evening on the elevator. Elliot just got burned by his potential date, while Simone's been intrigued by him for some time (considering she's seen his rendezvous with various women from her office window - which is a bit creepy in itself). In any case, Elliot's kind of a jerk because he speaks blunt before he thinks. Simone is fiesty, savvy, and sassy - which I can honestly say I like her projected personality here (even if I'm at odd with what she does in the work thus far.)

Elliot invites Simone to a party that's hosted by Elliot's friend. Eventually, the two end up getting closer, even through a series of steamy interludes and awkward moments. The ending point of this novella makes the promise that the two of them are going further with getting to know each other, and I'll admit that for the establisment, I'm willing to see how they work out. As per usual, Hart's writing intrigues me, though I'll admit the serial novel format makes it a little more difficult to connect with the characters for more background. Still, I thought it was fine for a quick read in the genre. Looking forward to reading the next very soon.

Overall score: 3.5/5 stars

LOVED! Already bought the next two installments.

This is a per chapter type series. So be advised...but oh so WORTH IT! Honestly, the first such "installment" type story I ran into was Megan's "The Resurrected" (Excellent-I mean off the charts good!) and really enjoyed being able to look forward to the next parts coming.

You know those types that peg you immediately? You know they've judged wrong, but well...

He likes control and making snap judgments.
She likes watching and has guts.

Okay, on to the next part. Every Part of You: Resists Me.

Received an ARC for review.

I don't like Simone. I don't like Elliott. They are both rude and nasty. There was no spark and even less of a romance. I really don't care what happens to either one of them, but who is Molly.

I learned you can enjoy a story and the sexiness it even if it is not your kink.
And I learned no matter what the genre I love me a damaged hero.

She likes receiving pain and he enjoys giving it. A no brained, right? Nope.

I listened to the audio and I highly recommend for those late nights when you can’t sleep.

I haven't finished this book and don't think i will. I find it so boring and dislike Simone and Elliott a lot, no chemistry at all. She comes across as thirsty and pushy and he is rude and dull. Sometimes I think Elliott likes her and other times I think he's just doing her a favor...like a pity-fuck. Had such high hopes for this book and was disappointed.

Interesting turn of events. Left me wondering how the relationship will play out between Elliott and Simone. Simone likes to watch Elliott and I'm curious to see Elliott's reaction when he discovers everything about Simone.

This could have been such a great and deep story , BUT - something was missing . First of all , the guy was an irredeemable asshole and the author never redeemed him ... He was a shit towards the heroine for no reason . Secondly - the whole thing could have been written better ...

This is the first book of this genre that I have read.
I was surprised by the fact that an erotic novel (this is a review for all parts) has an actual storyline running underneath.
The narrator was really easy to listen to.
